Excellent sound, great musical act. Would definitely see again. I wouldn't recommend food or drinks at Birchmere - it's ridiculously overpriced, but all else great.

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening with AJ and Jonathan. They have a great sound and rapport, with one another and with the audience. The songs are wonderful, of course, and they mixed up the big hits with some more obscure tunes. They provided a nice history of Simon & Garfunkel, and kept us entertained all the way through the set (and three bonus songs at the encore!) It was my first time at The Ark -- what a nice venue!

Saw them on Sunday at The Ark in Ann Arbor. Can't say much for the venue, disappointed in how they've let it run down a bit. This duo is fantastic though! Great harmonies. Keeps the songs familiar enough to sing to, but put their own creative spin on the music. I really appreciated them playing some old songs as well as uncommon songs. My recommendation, play ALL Bridge Over Troubled Water, and please get some more history on the band. Something you can't just look up on Wikipedia. Also, encourage more crowd participation. I know they have old crowds but they aren't dead yet. I would definitely pay another $20/ticket to see them.

This is not a typical tribute band that tries to look and sound exactly like the original artists. These 2 artists have such respect for this music and it clearly shows. The do all the major hits from Simon & Garfunkel, but they also do much more. They dig into the S&G catalog and bring out songs you probably haven't heard in years or that some of us may not even know.

If you expect a pure reproduction of Simon and Garfunkel, stay home and listen to their albums. If you want to hear some very good live music and some discussion about Simon and Garfunkel and their music, then by all means GO! The Birchmere is a fantastic venue and Swearingen and Beedle clearly enjoy what they do and they do it well. I had a great evening.

Terrific. Voices and guitar top notch. Great stories to go along with all the songs. If AJ and Jonathan are playing near your town, don't miss this show.

The Simon and Garfunkle Retrospective is simply a great show done by two guys who love the songs of the original artist. The personalities of the two guys showed as they shared their love of the music and how they met. Art and Simon would be proud of this presentation I am sure. The nature of Simon and Garfunkle's music is beautiful and relaxing so this show isn't recommended by someone who wants to be wowed by anything else than a beatiful mix of two voices and a guitar and explanations of the history of the songs they chose to sing. Well done!

The guys do a very credible immitation of Simon & Garfunkel. We liked the commentary and the introductions to the songs. They play without any backup band, but there is a "phantom" bass coming from somewhere, probably the sound guy in the back of the theater.

Retrospective meet all expectations of fun, nostalgia and great songs. Triple door was big disappointment. Lousy seating, mediocre wait staff and abrasive greeters.

These guys didn't pretend to be Simon & Garfunkel but they sounded exactly like them. My wife and I had a great time and wish they would have played longer. They sounded amazing with only a guitar and their two voices. This is a must see show.

This was a great experience. Some tribute bands have a bit of fun with the bands they're paying tribute to, and it's fine, really (ie, SuperDiamond), done with respect. This tribute had a bit of fun, but was marked by respect and gratitute for Simon and Garfunkel's wonderful music. There was a great group vibe here--great opportunities to sing along, too. I would definitely attend again, and will when this show comes back to town. (Hope it does!)
