Delorean
DELOREAN IN CONCERT:Spanish indie dance band Delorean are the Iberian Peninsula's answer to LCD Soundsystem and Franz Ferdinand, bringing hip audiences around the globe to their feet with an energetic blend of rock, electronica, and sampled sounds. On 2013's Apar, their fourth album, the band expanded their sonic palette even further, enlisting the help of Glasser and Chairlift's Caroline Polachek to provide female vocals to their already-lush productions. Despite a highly publicized kidnapping incident in Mexico City in October of 2013, the band continued to give high-energy performances in the final months of the year, exhibiting a resilience and passion for performing that has made their 2014 tour dates a hot ticket item among urban cognoscenti. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Formed in 2000 in Spain's remote and separatist-leaning Basque Country, Delorean was born out of an effort to synthesize its members' interests in both punk rock and electronic music.
