You never know what to expect at an Amanda Palmer or Jason Webley show. The two are awesome on their own, and together they're just astounding. Sxip Shirey was fantastic as well as an opener, creating sounds that you'd never think would come out of some of his simple handmade instruments. One such feat was when he pumped three duct taped penny whistles through a pitch-shifter and made them sound just like a giant pipe organ. Evelyn Evelyn played off their shyness quite well, and it took them a while to warm up to the audience but went off with a bang (literally...). It's impressive how conjoined twins can play a keyboard, accordion, and ukulele with one arm each. There was a minor freakout moment with Evelyn during Chicken Man, but she was subdued quickly with an offer of Twix. They'd had enough of being pushed to perform by the end of their stage time, so when Sxip Shirey was going to have them perform a new version of Tomorrow by Annie, they promptly shot him. Jason Webley was all over his instruments and stomp box, and did well to get lots of audience participation. The guy really knows how to rock an accordion. It's a shame he's not known better locally because he's quite talented and a riot to watch. He also plays the guitar. Amanda Palmer closed out the show by talking to the audience, pulling out songs from her own solo album as well as The Dresden Dolls, a cover by Sia, taking requests, and even singing a Happy Birthday version of Oasis to a girl in the audience. She's always so much energy and a blast to watch. At the end of the show, Sxip Shirey and Jason Webley joined Amanda Palmer onstage and they did a couple encores, including The Drinking Song by Jason Webley, where they had the entire audience get up and get dizzy to sing along since not everyone was drinking. It was a fantastic show full of surprises.

This show was amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Sxip, Amanda, and Jason are all incredibly talented musicians who are often overlooked in "popular music". This was my first time seeing an Amanda Palmer or Jason Webley show and I was very impressed at how truly sincere they were during the signing. The Evelyn Evelyn act was one of the most entertaining acts. They not only showed themselves as musicians, but overall performers. From improvisation to miming, the twins offered an amazing dynamic to the stage and it was greatly appreciated by the audience. I have been to see Tom Petty, No Doubt, Bruce Springsteen, and the Black Eyed Peas over the last two years, and no show has matched up to the superb quality of Evelyn Evelyn. This was also, by far, the cheapest ticket.

Fantastic, eclectic, and strange show. Two sets starting with Sxip Shirey performing with a table full of found and made unique instruments, followed by a performance by Evelyn Evelyn--a conjoined twin musical act the likes of which you've never seen. Imagine two people in a dress constructed to make them into siamese twins, each with only one arm exposed, playing songs for you on the same instrument at the same time. Add shadow puppetry, story-telling, comedy, and songs ranging from eerie to nostalgic. The last set was the fantastic Jason Webley serenading the audience with his accordion, then a short, final set by Amanda Palmer culminating in a Russian drinking song audience sing-along featuring the tour line-up and staff. A truly one-of-a-kind show.

Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley were outstanding as conjoined twin sisters Evelyn Evelyn. Sxip Shirley was also highly entertaining as the opening act and Emcee.

Evelyn Evelyn was an unbelievable show; part theater production, part circus side show all Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley. It was certainly a treat watching them synchronize their talents as the conjoined songstresses, but as individual acts they were phenomenal. Add in Sxip work with puppets and his bag of one of a kind instruments as well as his over the top emcee and it was the perfect night. The after party with Walter Sickert was unforgettable too, even though the house of blues ejected all the under age fans who wanted to keep the night going. House of blues crappy. Evelyn Evelyn A-Mazing!

I bought the tickets on a whim as part of my boyfriend's birthday present - he's an Amanda Palmer fan. The show was eclectic, and there were definitely a few entertaining moments, particularly around the Q&A session. Otherwise, it was a little.... weird. Perhaps I'm not artsy enough to get it? It also seemed like a large portion of the audience either knew each other or had seen the show before - there was a 'clique-ish' feeling about it. After the Evelyn Evelyn portion concluded, Jason and Amanda were each scheduled for a set. I thought my boyfriend would want to stay for that, as he's never seen Amanda perform live, but he wanted to leave during Jason's opening song, an audience-participation sing-along led by him on an accordian. I've never left a concert or show early before, but we just weren't interested or entertained enough to tough it out to the end. I wouldn't really recommend this event.

As a long time fan of Jason Webley and The Dresden Dolls, I was more than stoked to see Webley and Palmer perform together. I was not disappointed. The show was full of humor and magically touching moments as the two performed as "Evelyn and Evelyn Neville," conjoined twins with a tragic past. The characters were as well-thought out as the lyrics to their songs, many of which told the story of their fictional lives. The music was surprisingly different from either of Webley or Palmer's styles, but was still thoroughly enjoyable. Sxip Shirey was a surprise bonus. His opening act set the tone perfectly, and his theatrics played into the overall vibe of the show very well, indeed.

After much ado about being asked to bring sushi for the Evelyn's lunch we arrived at the venue and were welcomed with open arms by Amanda, Jason, Skip, Eric, and three friends my anxiety about meeting them and rolling sushi for them was gone in one sweeping moment and was followed by the immediate feeling of connection to these wonderful people. I am beside myself with gratitude to them for treating us to a most amazing evening. the show was beyond what my expectations were the sound was perfect and the Evelyns were just spectacular Skip opened with a wonderful routine of hand made instruments, the very shy evelyns followed with a heartfelt routine of piano, guitar, harpsichord, and candy-bar. Jason mobley followed with an audience participated couple song celebratory get down and amanda finished with an amazing Radiohead cover and all rejoined the stage for a drinking song followed by hugs and kisses to all with signatures. we left but not before they gave us a very loving and personal goodbye with demands of providing sushi for future Chicago events. Thank you guys for a very fond memory.... with Love, Kyle

Amanda and Jason are marvelous performers. Their music is eclectic and awesome by itself, but both of them take these performance to the next level. You feel like it is one of your friends singing their heart out, not someone you've never actually met. Truly Fantastic.

This show featured many creative artists - Sxip Shirey, Amanda Palmer, Jason Webley and Evelyn Evelyn. Sxip is a circus freak of the best kind. He is a complete joy to watch and I can't help but smiling the entire time he is playing. Evelyn and Evelyn are shy girls with a mischievous side. And they love chocolate. Their story is bittersweet, but they make wonderful music together. Jason Webley's portion of the show was filled with tons of energy. He is killer on the accordion! And, of course, Amanda Palmer was beyond amazing. I love her and will always love her. She played a new song that was simply incredible. I had brought a new friend with who had never heard any of these musicians before and she absolutely is sold and will definitely be coming with me again next time I go, which thrills me to no end :)

Evelyn Evelyn in Minneapolis was amazing. On top of a great show it was Jason Webley's birthday and Neil Gaiman was there to celebrate. Wonderful night.

The highly anticipated Seattle debut of Evelyn Evelyn was even more than I expected. The otherwise shy duo performed a vaudvilian cavalcade of bright snappy numbers. I felt like the audience was one during this stellar performance! Not to be missed! Having seen Webley on numerous occasions, I knew it would be fantastic, but it was eleven times better than I could even have imagined it would be! Sxip Shirey as narrator/host was a huge bonus!

Even if you don't know who any of these amazing artists are, you won't be disappointed. It didn't even feel like I had been there for six hours so when the show was over I was a bit surprised.
