Jeff the Brotherhood

Jeff the Brotherhood

JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD:Nashville-based sibling duo JEFF the Brotherhood is one of the most entertaining acts in indie rock, beloved by fans around the world for their infectious energy, flippant attitude, and antic-filled live shows. The pair's guitar-heavy, psych-inspired take on rock and roll is chock-full of catchy riffs and sing-along choruses, and odes to immaturity like "Six Pack" and "Whatever I Want" always get concertgoers amped up at the band's adrenaline-filled concerts. An indefatigable live act known for their hard-partying ways on the road, JEFF the Brotherhood continue to let it all hang out with marathon sets on tour.  JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD IN CONCERT:Brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall grew up in Nashville surrounded by music -- their father Robert Ellis Orrall is a successful producer and songwriter who's penned hits for Reba McEntire and Lindsay Lohan.

I would consider myself a "casual" Jeff the Brotherhood fan. I don't know their full catalog of work, but the set they played at the Sinclair was very good. They also had accompanying bass and lead guitarists with them, so it was a very full sound. Great beat, heavy guitars and pleasant vocals. I would definitely recommend seeing them. All the acts (two opening bands and then JTB) started late. Don't assume you will make it home before 1a.

People who say rock is dead are douchebags. It just goes to show they don't get out and see the names under the mainstream radar. I've seen Jeff the Brotherhood 4 times now and have enjoyed them every time. They've got a great sound and give their all every show. Even though they are young guys, they've been touring for years now and have got their act down. I saw them at The Sinclair in Cambridge this time. The sound was on point (really loud) and the Brotherhood played a good hour and ten minute set. It was an awesome value for $15.

Jeff the Brotherhood was good and their energy built towards the end but Diarrhea Planet totally stole the show! This is a great venue and the sound guy was amazing. I would go see Diarrhea Planet again in a heartbeat. They really know how to get the crowd engaged and the interaction between band members made it look like they were having as much fun as we were!

JTB were very solid! Intimate, steamy atmosphere. Good stage presence and lots of smoke to add to the Heavy Psych vibe. Crowd was mediocre - no movement, but that seems to be expected in KC. There was no riot at the riot room. Overall, one of the best concerts I've seen in some time, although most of the others were considerably bad and disappointing.
