In 2010, I had the pleasure of seeing Civil Twilight in concert on multiple occasions. The venues and crowds both varied in size, from a sold out show at the 9:30 Club in DC to an intimate club in Brooklyn on a snowy December night. Every single show has been nothing short of absolutely amazing; each experience has been unique and unforgettable. I've been to a lot of live performances and none of them have ever captured me the same way a genuine Civil Twilight always does. Besides the fact that they are ridiculously talented musicians, and besides the fact that each song is brilliantly crafted (both lyrically and musically), this is a band that also possesses intangible qualities that, once witnessed, will leave you with no doubts that they are on the path to greatness. I am eagerly anticipating what the future holds for this band, in 2011 and beyond. If you love music and an honest performance, you owe it to yourself to see Civil Twilight in concert. Prepare to be moved by things seen and unseen. Favorite Moment(s) They range from the first time I had ever heard their cover of 'Teardrop' (I remember thinking, "these guys aren't just musicians - they're artists!") to the time they played "Stolen" for me. And how could I ever forget the time that Andrew gave me a set list or the time(s) Steven got down into the crowd? Seriously, I could go on for a while, there have been so many great moments!

This is my second time seeing them. As with the last time, I don't understand why more people aren't in the venue. They are incredible musicians and songwriters. The guitar player is incredible. Watching him reminds me of the Edge from U2. they even did Teardrop. Their cover of massive attack. The show was great. And their opener was very good. She had a beautiful Joni Mitchell/ Jonatha Brooke quality.

These guys are both talented and fun to see play live. I don't understand why more people don't support them. I'll go see them every time they play near me.

This was the first time that I have seen them and I thought they were great. The band was personable and approachable and they sounded great. I will say that I will go see them every time they play near me.

This is one of my favorite live bands and I've seen about 15 of their shows over the last 4 years. The new record "Story Of An Immigrant" is amazing! Awesome new music, catchy riffs, great jam opportunities for live shows, and they took full advantage of both! I really enjoy how they change up some of their original tunes to keep them fresh and create new experiences for their fans. If you have not seen this band live, YOU NEED TO!! and definitely download their 3rd album :-)

Civil Twilight was great...but The Greeting Committee was awesome as the opener! So energetic, young, and talented...and really got the crowd going.

This was my first time seeing Civil Twilight, and after listening to them for years I was very excited to see them live. Their concert was nothing short of amazing! The venue was smaller, which added to the intimacy and presence that the band has on stage. The band was awesome at incorporating the crowd - it felt like a group effort.

The band was in excellent form - great emotion an musicianship to bring the crowd into the songs off the new album. They sound amazing as a 4 piece - bringing some of the more expansive compositions to life on stage. Don't miss out on this band! The new album is unreal as well. Good to know there are still some great new Rock bands that 'get it'.

All 3 acts were kind of amazing. Zeek, Knox Hamilton and Civil Twilight were great. Good sound and solid voices. But Civil Twilight didnt sing 'Stolen' which its kind of the reason i went to see them, however it was a great show.

Fantastic show. The guys were great. I loved the new arrangements of older songs and the new ones as well. The performance was very tight and you could tell the guys had really been working. I love it and them. Can't wait to see them in January in Louisville, KY!

Civil Twilight is a great band with a unique sound that tantalizes your eardrums. I would definetely see them again. Great interaction with the audiance, amazing live performance. The event was a musical rollar coaster, taking us to rocking heights and then bringing us down with some mellow tunes. Great night, great music, great band! Definetly worth seeing!

I walked in the 20th Century Theater and could NOT BELIEVE it was virtually empty. Was I one of only a handful of people in Cincinnati who couldn't wait to see CT in such an intimate setting? (BTW - first time at 20th Century Theater... would definitely go again). The worker told me only 55 people showed up. Before the show, I would put CT up against almost any other band... and after the show my opinion did not change. Despite the ridiculously low turnout, the band played on like professionals and gave us few in the audience the full experience. This band hits a range of emotions. They rock out at times, the're soft and tearful at times, they build, they blast. Their songs are creative and unique and each one has a different feel. All band members are super musicians, but the lead singer is mesmorizing. He's not afraid to go falsetto quite often, and stay up there. I would highly recommend this band for people in other cities where they are going next. And Cincinnati.. if they ever come back (which, I hope we didn't get black-listed), you should come check them out too, you wont be dissapointed. CT has their own sound... but if I had to compare them to other bands, I would say an equal mix between Coldplay/Radiohead/Ryan Adams.

A really good show..Civil Twilight is an intimate band with a huge sound..their melodies are supernatural, and stay with you long after you listen to them..music seems to pour effortlessly from these guys..they are all true musicians.. I have to say I do feel their first tour was more moving for me, but this one was amazing in its own right. The new songs are wonderful, but I do feel they could have played four or five more tunes from the first record to really round out the live show..actually they need to play some of the first record songs...they are just too good not to play...

A great oppurtunity to see a great band live! A couple of my friends and I didn't have anything to do, and we knew one song before the event, but we decided to check them out live. WOW, its clear after seeing them that they are very talented. It was obvious that a lot of the crowd was there supporting the local opener, but I think everyone was blown away with Civil Twilights performance. I can say that my friends are now listening to more songs, and we all can't wait to see you guys again! COME BACK TO INDY SOON!

On tour and promoting their latest effort, Civil Twilight does a great job performing and working with the audience. Their mix of sounds similar to older U2 and Pink Floyd was tremendous and fun! If you like the type of music that is spirited and great to listen to--This is the band for you.

opening act One EskimO had visa issues and didn't make the show, Andrew Ripp stepped up and did an amazing last minute set. Both the Daylights and Civil Twilight were fantastic as usual

A Silent Film shows promise as an emerging piano-rock outfit. By the fourth song of their set, they had the crowd on their side. I wish that the sound was tweaked as well as it was for the headliners. Civil Twilight were impressive as a trio, producing a wall of sound. The material may be a bit more 'headphones & hammock' for me, but I really enjoyed their set. The Rassle reminded me of frat parties and keggers. Great evening at the TLA! Can't wait to catch ASF in May...and I think it's FREE!

Didn't know A Silent Film was also performing. What a great surprise! The lead singers of both bands were VERY charismatic, not to mention easy on the eyes, and the performances were stellar! Don't have a negative thing to say except that they could have played many more songs!

This was a great night; the venue is very quaint and has really nice acoustics. The band sounded great, they are full of energy and you could see their true love of music. I wish I would have written down the set list\u2026 but they don t have a lot of songs, just one album and I m sure they played them all. Letters From the Sky was simply amazing, what a great tune. They also killed on Next to Me I tried to look around at the crowd to see if people were as excited to be there as I was and the place was alive with energy! I even had a nice conversation with a couple of the bartenders, who were very cool and friendly, who said before the show that they had never heard of the band before, they both said they were fantastic and would look to download the songs. I thought the two opening bands were really good; they did a great job of complementing the music that Civil Twilight was there to share with us. A lot of times when you go to a show you have to wonder why the headline band would pair themselves up with their opening acts, but in this case both The Rassle and A Silent Film were really great choices. I was familiar with A Silent Film, and a fan, they have been around for a while and what a great bunch of guys. They were hanging out at the merch tables chatting, shaking hands and signing disks and posters for fans. So were members from The Rassle, and it was really cool, very down to earth guys who are extremely appreciative of their fans. I was already a fan of A Silent Film, now I m a bigger one with a signed copy of The City that Sleeps , and I m also a new fan of The Rassle. Again, this was a great night and a very cool venue, I plan to head back there and I hope to see all three of these bands become successful. I will support them as long as they continue to put out great music!

This is the first time i have ever left a review for an artist. Saw these guys in Saratoga NY. They are incredible. These guys love performing and it shows. Give a little love to a crowd and they fall in love. Steven's vocals are untouchable. Civil twilight Rocks. They'd better prepare for Fame.

first concert @ waterstreet sence it was the country warehouse. I will be going back. What a nice venue. Opening act A Silent Film was great so the headliner had a hard act to follow but they were awesome. Two great groups. I feel bad paying only $10. Two top acts.

WOW! I saw these guys in Alabama playing a small show and it was the best one I'd ever seen so I couldn't wait to see them again in my home town of Rochester, NY. They are amazing in studio and in concert. Extremely talented!! Never a dull moment and I couldn't help but be on my feet singing along! What a rush! I'm going to see them again in a month in Orlando and I can't wait! TOTALLY worth any cost to go see! You won't regret it!

Coldplay is massive, and these guys aren't? There is no justice in this world. Fantastic show, all around. The opening band, "A Silent Film", were fantastic. Water Street is a nice venue, too. Very good sound.
