Monster trucks were awesome! Definetly worth it! Prepaid tickets proved to be not worth it. MYy family loved It! Better than seeing it in Knoxville. Another souvenir booth woulda been nice but still it was great!

If you have never been to Bristol for a night race, you are missing out on the biggest thrill in NASCAR! This was only my second time, and I was excited, not only for myself, but my recently-widowed cousin and her son. It was their first time. It was an amazing experience! This is something any NASCAR fan will enjoy. I highly recommend the experience. Other than traffic through Atlanta being a nightmare, even the trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains was breathtaking.

Seeing 43 cars on a half mile oval clicking off laps in 15 seconds is truly a sight to behold. This is stock car racing going back to its roots. This is what stock car racing is supposed to be. Bristol puts on 2 of the best race weekends on the NASCAR calendar. If you have never been you owe it to yourself to experience this race track. You will never forget or regret it.

I've been a NASCAR fan for 50 years, despite all the politics and rule changes and commercials. Bristol has been on my bucket list since they went to night racing years ago and this was our first. Bristol is famous for "The Bristol Stripe," a streak of scraped paint on the flattened right side of a car that made contact with the wall. Also famous for bump drafting, beatin and bangin, swappin paint, etc. We didnt see none of that Aug 29, '17. It was so boring watching cars going round in an oval, that when the predictable happened and the 18 took the lead with 60 to go we actually left our $120 seats and got out before the other 120,000 fans. We live 30 minutes away (arrived at 10 AM) and it wasn't worth spending 3 hours in traffic after that 120 mph parade. Not sure if the playoff format had anything to do with drivers being conservative, but it wasn't what I expected from Bristol. Been to a dozen or more events at Daytona and the only complaints I had was when my driver DNFed. We could see the whole track but watched opening ceremonies on the big screen Colossus, which is a great feature.

First timer and I'll be back for sure. Only thing I'd change is for the ushers to look at tickets directing people where to go ...they didn't want to see my tickets so we found our seats ourself...ended up another couple had same seats but different section. Had they looked they could have been directed correctly. Food was good but drinks were very expensive...$8 a beer way too high. But again we will be back and plan our drinks and food a little better.

One thing I noticed, Beef O'Bradys sponsored the event, yet did not have a food tent. They need to have obstacles so the trucks can do flips.

Ultimately, when the race finally happened, it was great. Getting into the track, was pretty painless also. We arrived Saturday around 2. Parked in a handicapped lot and easily caught a ride up to the track gate. We left about 11 during the last rain, about 30 minutes before the race was postponed until Sunday. it took us an hour to get a ride to the lot where we parked. I know the rain and such must have played a part, but it is something that they should work on. There was no place to sit, and impossible to walk. The next day, we arrived just after the race resumed at 4:40. Drove straight in again, no delays, and caught a golf cart ride pretty quickly. Leaving after the race was another long wait, standing for about 40 minutes. This time, rain wasn't an issue, but lack of staff was reported to be the big problem. Trams weren't running in our area at all while we were there (gate 3). Only a few golf carts. Overall, if you expect to walk a half mile or more in and out, you wouldn't be disappointed. But for the seemlingy plentiful handicapped folks who shouldn't be or can't walk like that, it's troublesome.

This was my first race at this track, 12th overall for Sprint Cup, and despite the rain delays which were difficult to deal with, it was as good of racing as I have seen live in the second half of the event. I had no particular traffic issues getting in or out. Study maps online showing parking and traffic flow patterns and that does help. All the staff was courteous and helpful if needed. We spent a lot on track souvenirs as we never expect to return to the big races, as we are trying to get to all the big races in the sport. Plus traveling from NJ makes it difficult and very expensive. They are very organized here and have trams and buses to get you to and from parking as well as around the track. I couldn't have been happier with that aspect of it or the fact that the police keep traffic flowing better than any track I've seen.

We sat in the Yarborough section A, Row 8, and for 69.00 a ticket you couldn't ask for a better view of the track. You are allowed to bring a small cooler for your own food/beverage so I would recommend doing that to avoid to overpriced concessions. I recommend renting a race scanner at the track. It helps make the race more interesting when you can hear what is going on in the cars.

My husband and I went to the race for our Anniversary and had a wonderful time!! We got to the track around 10:30 and it was crowded. The parking lot we parked in was right across the road from the track and was free due to a special offer if you were driving a Toyota vehicle! It was so close we were able to go back to the car durning the day to rest before the race because it was hot. Before the race we had track tour, pre-race concert and driver introduction passes. It was a lot of walking but loved every minute of it!! The only thing that was not clear to us and several other people was where to go after pre-race concert for the driver introduction. So make sure to ask someone that works at Bristol motor speedway! The race was over around 11:00 and was on the road by 11:40. The traffic was not bad at all leaving the parking lot! We will go again one day!!!!

Going to BMS there is never a bad seat in the house. I had front row seat so not only do you feel the experience, you live it. At Bristol , you smell, taste , and feel the experience. Once you live it , no where else is any better.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, our experience was top notch! We met with several of the Bristol staff and all of them were the greatest, kindest staff anywhere. They went above and beyond to make our first trip to Bristol an experience we'll never ever forget! This trip was on my bucket list and my wife purchased it secretly for my birthday. She was in contact with management and they helped her pull off an amazing surprise! I would definitely recommend visiting this track!

The concrete colliseum is the best place to watch a NASCAR race. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make your experience amazing. The roar of the crowd is drowned out by the sounds of the cars. Truly an amazing adventure. Add this event to your Bucket list, you will not be disappointed.

This place is like living inside the concept of LOUD. Been to a number of tracks, but never heard anything like this. Pretty spectacular event. Definitely recommend a headset radio, because they start lapping cars really early. The broadcast is needed to help you follow all the race-within-a-race storylines. There are NO bad seats here. They pass you about 3 times a minute.

My husband and I love racing and we hadn't been away alone since the birth of our son 3 years ago. This was an awesome race....not a lot of action but a great experience!! We stayed at a camp ground called Bristol Campground! They were great! We would definitely stay there again, great people there!

The rain didn't bother my girlfriends and us. The track employees allowed us to sit under the shelter and we all had a great time. Once it cleared up the race was exciting.

Fantastic race, with a few free laps thrown in for good measure...thought it would never end! Rain soaked but happy. As always the Bristol Speedway is the best track in NASCAR. This race was the best of both worlds, day AND night racing.

Come on folks - its Bristol racing. It was great. We had row 59 seats on turn 1 exit. Could see the whole track. Great night. Only negative was parking - we were a bit lost when we got to the track and ended up parking past "the red barn". This little side street was grid lock for 2.5 hours after the race... When I previously bought tickets to the Texas Motor Speedway, we could also buy parking passes, but I couldn't find this for Bristol.

Best. Experience. Ever! I am so glad my first NASCAR race was the Bristol night race - the only downside is that no other track will be able to live up to it. We have watched the night race on TV for years, and heard from family members that it is the best track in NASCAR. So our expectations were pretty high going into the event. Somehow, BMS exceeded those expectations. Already looking forward to our next trip back to Bristol!

This was mine and my wife's first live NASCAR race. Other than the 100 degree temperatures it was amazing! As far a pre race stuff and the actual race I only have one suggestion. Make sure you have enough water to sell!!!!! Every stand was sold out. Not everyone drinks alcohol so there should be plenty of water for everyone! After the race is where my main issue was. On the road where everyone exits i believe all people should stay to the left so vehicles driving on the right don't have to worry about people darting in front of them, nobody needs a foot run over. Where we were leaving this random guy came and sat on the hood of my vehicle. I was not happy cause then the drunk man took his hand and punched my vehicle. If people were only walking on the left side this would have never happened. Just a suggestion. I think my husband and I will try the April 2015 race. It was too hot in August! Thanks for a good time!

Wow! I can see why people say there isn't a bad seat in the house. We sat in the Kulwicki Terrace and saw just about every inch of the track. I would reccommend binoculars for the close up personal feel of the far side but still GREAT seats! This was my first trip to Bristol and first live NASCAR race as well. Already making plans for next years night race at Bristol! My only complaint was they ran out of Nachos in the concessions areas nearest my seats.

The race was awesome, minus not being able to see whatsoever when the people stand in front of you, at least at Talladega when someone stands up you can still see pretty well. The hassle of everything was not. We stayed at Whitetop Creek Park (tent camping) because it was only $50 from Wednesday through Sunday, it said trolleys were provided and that it was only a mile from the track. Actually, 2.8 miles from the track, had to walk a mile up and down hills to get to the trolleys that only brought you half mile from the track. I know walking a mile to the trolleys sound not terrible but up and down hills to them, carrying a 35 pound cooler in the blistering hot sun was terrible. The campground was actually a baseball field, no shade anywhere, nasty outhouses and showers. It was hell waiting for the race in a baseball field with nowhere to hide from the sun. Parking is terrible, I thought maybe it would be like Talladega but nope, you must pay, the locals count on this race because they know you'll pay.

We loved the race it was unbelievable to see in person! When I ordered the tickets I opted to pick tickets up at a local office, so we go and they tell us we can not pick them up there we had to go to the box office at the track, which we did and didn't have a problem getting them just wish picking up at a local office wasn't an option if your tickets can't be collected there!

Race was incredible, seating was perfect. Plenty of food and drinks available at reasonable prices. Track is approximately 115 miles from Pigeon Forge which is where we stayed. This was a night race so we got in from race around 2:15AM next morning. My only regret was the profanity of other fans after the race, especially since I had my young son with me.

over all the experiance was good but it could have been better , the shuttle traffic was terriable , food was very over priced , all of the staff were great . i would do it again but i will adjust the way i do it . long drive from columbus ohio ( 380 miles )

This was my first time going to Bristol Motor Speedway & to a night race. The track is unbelievably awesome & the roar of the cars- theres nothing else like it!!! To top it all off our driver #20 Matt Kenseth ended up winning, which made it so much better!!!! Im ready to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They warn you to sit 7 rows or further from the jump on the track cause of flying rocks, but we sat right up front and although some rocks hit us, it wasn't bad. They tried to scare you by showing you these huge rocks, but it was smaller ones that came through the fence. Made the experience more fun for us. The autograph area was very disorganized. All around though it was fun race.

The GRC/monster truck event was absolutely amazing. I was able to see all of my favorite drivers in person, I got my picture taken with Ken Block along with his autograph, I really hope the GRC championship series comes back next year!!!

I've been to eight Brickyard 400's, half a dozen Joliet races and once to the Richmond Fall race. All of them great venues but this Bristol race was the best race I've ever attended. The facility was clean the track employees helpful and friendly. But is the racing in the end you come to see and for excitement and drama you could not beat it. There is no place on earth as loud as this half mile.

I really don't know where to start. This trip was something that a friendship of 30 years has waited on for a very long time. It was everything we thought it would be and more. On top of getting the tickets we also did the "Half Mile Club", Track Tour, and Victory Celebration. There really isn't anything bad to say about our experience. The entire day was phenomenal. The only complaints I have is that when renewing the tickets through Bristol's ticket office over the phone to get the Victory Celebration passes they had a hard time verifying my ticket purchase because they were bought through Ticketmaster and not the track. But they got it figured out. Then once at the track when I went to pick up the Victory Celebration passes they had a hard time finding them on the computer as well. But after 15 minutes they figured it out. Will we be back? As long as our health and our bank accounts let us we will be.

Bristol is the best track to see a Nascar race. We had a great time, the weather was perfect and it is just a great time! Our seats in Darrel Waltrip Section G, Row 60 is to high. You have polls for the suites above that get in your way. The seats are metal bleachers and not good. Sit in Turn 1 and 2 is better.

first time I had attended a nascar event at Bristol.loved it.i have attended Martinsville and Richmond more times than I can remember but I think Bristol blows them out of the water as far as the racing it self.i will definitely be attending another Bristol night race in the future.

This was one of the best races I have attended and I've attended a lot. I don't know how many I've attended at Bristol. I would guess probably more than 30 between the 3 top series. Many fans complain because there aren't as many crashes, but if you're going to see crashes your not a "racing" fan. There was some great side by side racing throughout the field. I LOVED IT!

Do you expect anything less than awesome at Bristol? Love the track, love the action, sucks when your driver gets lapped or has to pit unexpectedly but that's all apart of the sport. View was nice from the 2nd from top row of Wallace. The top row would be extra nice because their is a nice platform behind that row to stand on if you needed. Getting up to Wallace wasn't much fun as well took a lot of flights of stairs, not to mention we had to go through part of the grandstands to get to the stairs for Wallace. But it was good exercise none the less!

Awesome facility ,staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.There is not a bad seat in the stadium and the seats are fairly comfortable and roomy. Tons and tons of pre race activities to get involved in. Food venders are ok but could use a bigger selection.

There is nothing like a night time race! Afterall, It's Bristol Baby!! There truly are no bad seats at this track due to the 1/2 mile track. We had amazing tickets and were able to see all of the action. The worst part of any large event is getting there and getting home. Bristol is no different and possibly one of the worst due to it's location. However, we still managed to get back to out hotel within an hour after the race ended which was pretty remarkable. If you've ever wanted to see a night time race, you must go!

The race itself was awesome!! Parking how ever was absolute chaos. if u go i recommend calling and asking about the parking permit. other than the parking the event was amazing and i feel like this will be a yearly thing for our family!

I parked in lot D. great area. however exiting the lots was awful. there were two lane roads but only one lane was used. the detour to get out took me 60 miles from my hotel in Johnson city that is only 17 miles from the track.it was after 2 am - 3;15 minutes after the race ended before I got there. There has to be a better way to handle the traffic especially with all on the four lane roads and interstate nearby. I loved the track and the race. i have been at 16 others different tracks and yours is among the best . But i will probably not come back !!!!!

Because of rain a decision was made that an announcement would not be made until after 7:00PM whether the racing would occur on not. Therefore, it was either wait it out in the rain for several hours or go home. Since the event was held I understand that the tickets were not refundable, but we also purchased pit passes for the event, that could not be used. I was hoping we could at least get a refund for those, but could not, so wasted nearly $180 of an event scheduled or 2:00 PM that did not occur until after 9:00PM

we did not get the full experience of the food city 500 i understand the weather and the race was ran the next day how ever all of the vendor tents pulled out there was nothing to do before the race get there and go right to your seat it was not what we had in mind for a race we live close enough that we did not have to stay over night the night before but i think regardless of whatever day the race is ran everyone should be there vendors should be there

I loved returning to Bristol even though it was rain delayed. I was disappointed in the fact that alot of the vendors didn't stay for the race day they left Sunday instead of Monday. Good to know for next time.

We will see next weekend if the Bristol owners wasted thier money repaving the track, if it doesn't use money next time and add more bathrooms, lines are a mile long for the guys, it Sucks!! Tickets Prices are too high, take a lesson from Martinsville!!! Cost of concession items are too high lower them and you will sell more and make more. Idea, how about escalators to get up to track? Need more Hotels/Motels and cheaper camping sites.
