My niece was so excited and really enjoyed the fact that the musical stayed close to the book she has. She kept telling me all about it. I had never heard of the books or the character but I really enjoyed it!

Very cute play. Silly things my 4 y/o niece picked up on line "even my hands are pink" but she wasn't wearing pink on her hands.....

I paid full price for two tickets to see Pinkalicious with my Grandchild. Around $80. You can imagine my surprise when I received a Groupon Advertisement for the same show, same date lots of seats for a ticket price of $19 each. So going in I was disappointed. Costumes were plain. Given the idea of the story of a girl who turns pink! I would have thought that a little dab of pink make up would have been nice. Scenery, also, was mediocre. For the price I paid, I wouldn't recommend it. The best part was that there was no intermission, which works with kids. Unlike Dinosaur Train, which had the kids waiting for 15 minutes in the middle of the show.

I was very disappointed in this event. I hid it well since my 5year old daughter appeared to be having fun. First of all we saw it at the landmark in syracuse and I bought the tickets because they were supposedly front row and my daughter and I were very excited, however when we got there, there were no front row pit seats and it was a fiasco to get a seat. Luckily there was hardly anyone there so we could sit practically wherever we wanted. Secondly, the performance sound was not the best and the stage backgrounds looked homemade. I bought the after party tickets for 5 dollars each, this was actually cute (free cupcake, wand and plastic tiara), but they never checked the tickets and it was so packed I could have easily joined in not knowing it had cost money. I had brought extra money in the hopes of buying a book for the characters to sign, but no merchandise is sold. I think this story has the potential to be a fabulous stage performance and whomever is doing the marketing is missing out on selling products the girls would like to take home and use at the after party.

My children love the books. However, in this musical Pinkalicious is naughty and isn't as nice to her brother as she is in the books. Additionally, the parents in this musical suggest they have been too busy with work to do fun things as a family whereas in the books they are very involved and creative. I left this musical not wanting my children to model the behaviors of the family. My 5 year old son didn't like but my 3 year old daughter thought a couple of songs were nice and she still likes Pinkalicious the character. We have read some of the original stories again so that this is the memory they keep instead of the musical.

While my kids (3 and 5) did enjoy the show, that was the only redeemable part. The theatre was cold, the acting was awful and it was rather disturbing to see "Pinkalicious" played by a woman clearly much older than the actors playing her parents. I'm glad my kids liked it, but that's not exactly how I was hoping to introduce them to theatre, with such a sub-standard show.

My 4 year old loved the show. It was just the right length for her. At the end pinkalicious told everyone to come downstairs for the pink party. Well, I didn't buy tickets in advance for that, don't know about it. And they wouldn't sell tickets there right then. So happy 4 year old turned into devastated sobbing 4 year old. I just wish the characters didnt announce it like it was available for everyone when it wasnt.

I though Pinkalicious was disappointing. I brought my 6yr old daughter along with a friend and her 4 yr old daughter. We were surprised that it was only 1 hour. We also thought that the costumes and stage set lacked creativity. Overall it was not worth the price of the ticket ($50.00 ea)

For little girls who love pink...it was perfect. For anyone else, the singing was poor & the production itself should have been on a much more professional level. For such a short running time (1 hr total) there was NO need for a 15 intermission. I also feel the dialogue from the book should have been represented better through the characters. Many of the lines that my daughter can recite from the book were omitted. Scenery was pretty sad too. Also, they could have had Pinkalicious turn pink more than they did, and when she turned red you really couldn't even tell. That's the whole fun of the book!

This show could have been great. The story pinkalicious is a cute story that you can do so much with. The characters costumes did not relate to the book. Pinkalicious should have been all pink (after eating the cupcakes) The only thing pink was her hair and arms. The props were so cheesy..Needed more glitz and sparkle. The sound was horrible. My friends and I couldnt hear what they were saying. The show started 15 minutes late and then they had a 15 minute intermission. (waste of time) I was so disappointed!

The idea of the show is great but for some reason the mics for the father character and the mother were not working. I could not hear anything they said. The music was louder than Pinkalicious. The brother was the loudest and his voice was a little too powerful. My daughter was happy but I don't know that we would go to that theatre again. Terrible accoustics and the nose bleed section was no joke. You could barely see a thing in the mezzanine.

Pinkalicious was a good production with lots of fun scenes for the little kids. The sound quality left a lot to be desired, though. The kids' voices didn't carry well and if they weren't facing you, it was hard to hear the words.

I felt that it was highly disappointing because the girl never turned pink and neither did her brother. Her hair and dress was pink but not her face. It's just make-up, it comes off,so why not at least a pink face? Her brother had on a pink shirt and his hair was actually red but no pink face. My granddaughter kept asking why she didn't turn pink, I wondered the same think.

Costumes were old and plain, set looked like it was falling apart, suggestive use of pink at the end for brother, didn't follow book as much and characters were all older. Could have been more vibrant, sparkly and new costumes like little girls want to see, needed younger actors so brother is younger than Pinkalicious, the set and props needed updated and could have had more than 1 setting and could have followed book better in parts. Not worth $30 a piece for 4 people. I've been to lots of PBS and Nickelodeon productions and I think a high school or community center would do better.

Utterly disappointing. No kids in the play. Too loud sound system. Underlying secondary message geared at adults and unnecessary. Little girls want to see pink and glitter and fun. Very disappointing storyline. Kids throwing tantrums as a way of getting their way. Don't waste your money!

Pinkalicious a show that caters to children is a show that is enjoyable to all. The music is contagious. The actors are so appealing and energetic, especially the actress who played Pinkalicious. I took my 6 yr old daughter who loves all the pinkalicious books. I wasn't sure how it was going to be. I was really surprised at what an amazing job; the acting, singing, dancing- the overall performance was very well done! My daughter loved it! She said the girl that played pinkalicious looked just like her. She did an outstanding job at bringing the lively character to life on stage! The entire show exceeded my expectations! I look forward to more of these kind of live performances. Just wish it was a little longer show - only abt 45 mins long, would have been nice to be at least an hour.

This show was not all that I expected. It didn't quite follow the story of the book. There were parts omitted and other extraneous things added that were not necessary to the story. The props were shoddy and the stage hands didn't even try to be hidden, I have seen better performances at high schools. I drove my daughter and hour in each direction for a show that was barely an hour long and that included the intermission. If you live close to the theater it might not be such a big deal, but we traveled a bit to see this performance and with was not worth it.

My husband and I took our 4 year old to see Pinkalicious. She absolutely adores the book and the show just made it come to life! She loved it!! As did we:) The singing was amazing, the costumes were cute, the set was colorful and fun, and the timing was perfect. My daughter can't sit through a regular movie at the theater because to her it's so long, but this show really had the perfect timing. It was about 30 min long, then let out for intermission. We took a quick potty break, grabbed a delicious Pinkalicious cupcake, and some souvenirs, then headed back to the rest of the show, which was only about another 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend seeing this show! You and your children won't be disappointed:)

Pinkalicious was a delightful children's musical with a strong cast. It was so good, in fact, that not one child in the audience misbehaved or was even restless. (We were sitting in the back, so we had a good view of everything.) The actress who played the title role has a strong and beautiful voice. Our first time theatre-goer five year old granddaughter was entranced with the actors, and equally so with the set, which was simple enough for an audience of children, yet clever and authentic with elements of a real home. Kudos to the costume and set department too!

My mother and I brought my girls (4 and 6) to see Pinkalicious this past weekend. The whole play lasted about an hour and a half, which I felt was the perfect amount of time for young kids. My girls stayed focused, engaged and entertained through the whole thing. And so did my mother and I!

So much fun the whole family enjoyed! Only wished it was a longer show! I'm hoping a new Pinkalicious musical is in the works perhaps Purplelicious?!!
