My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Ed Kowalczyk show at the Port City Music Hall in Portland, Maine. We had great seats at the venue in the preferred seating area. We had an amazing view of the stage and the performance. Ed is a fantastic, outgoing, engaging performer. We have always loved his music and his energy. I had the best time at this show and would highly recommend it to anyone that is into this type of music. Thanks so much to Ed and his team for a great show!

I hope Ed enjoyed his musical masturbatory exercise. My group certainly did not. One big sighing thud across the crowd. Oh, and the minor league entertainment he brought to warm up the crowd was an unmitigated, untalented failure.

The show was great. A good blend of the beautiful new music, along with the strengths of many numerous hits from the past, presented a show that webbed and flowed with the crowd's familiarity of the music. As usual, Ed is a charismatic performer who loves to play to the crowd. The bass runs were done well and so was the harmony. Ed put on a great show as usual.

Ed Kowalczyk has an amazing voice. He has great range and control. He puts a lot of energy into his performance and obviously cares to give a great performance. Ed was in true form. I'm glad he played a lot of Live songs, because we didn't buy his first solo album. I'm also glad the venue was non-smoking even though you had to walk through the smokey casino to get to it. They really raised the drink prices for a concert though.

Ed was great as usual. I had seen him 3 times with Live and those were some of the best shows I'd ever seen. I was a little disappointed that he did an acoustic set. If the venue knew that he was only doing an acoustic set, they should have put that on the ticket. Acoustic set only!. He is still one of the best song writers of our generation but I would have liked to see him with a full band.

The show was awesome. Not sure i would spend the money and see him or any other show at the Biloxi Hard Rock again. My better half and i went to see Blue October the week before and they only played for an hour and twenty minutes. Ed played a little longer but, not long enough. Must be a Hard Rock thing because i know Ed would have played longer elsewhere. A good mixture of tunes from both the Live days and the Ed Kowalczyk CD. The entire show was right on except the duration.

Besides the confusion in ticket purchasing (I thought I was buying general admission for the floor and ended up with balcony seats), it was a great show. Eddie K never disappoints. Although, I'm not a huge fan of his last two albums I am still a huge fan. I've seen him with and without LIVE probably 20 times. I like the unplugged concept for the Throwing Copper anniversary but it wasn't unplugged. It was electric guitars and his voice which is just fine. I was really surprised at the empty seats at such a small venue. It was a 2 hr concert. Perfect length for a Tue night. His voice was amazing as usual. His guitar partner was really good as well. I'm not familiar with him. Played the entire album Throwing Copper from beginning to end in order and had 6 encores. I would probably have chosen a couple different songs for the encore but it was still good.

I've been a fan of Live since Mental Jewelry came out, but my favorite album of theirs has always been Throwing Copper. So when I saw that Ed Kowalczyk was going to be playing the entire album start to finish I jumped at the chance to buy tickets. Unfortunately, the performance was akin to watching Ed do karaoke. Sure, he played acoustic guitar and there was another guitarist there to play the lead parts, but there was no bass player, nor was there a drummer, just some super, super lame Casio keyboard drum loops. I can't decide whether the decision to perform a rock album in this way was greed or laziness. My guess is that it was probably a good bit of both. Ed's voice is still amazing, but this was a truly terrible way to pay tribute to a great album. It is time for Ed and his former bandmates to bury the hatchet and reunite. If they can't do that, it's time to retire.

Ed Kowalczyk has never sounded better, and with the stunning guitar work of Zak Loy, you never miss the band Live. I thought this might be an acoustic retrospective, but Kowalczyk's voice soared and burned through lyrics that seem just as potent today as they did 20 years ago. They played through the entire Throwing Copper album, then added other songs in a terrific encore. Can't recommend this enough. There was a great vibe to the audience in Houston. If you ever loved Live, don't miss this tour! Eddie K rocks!

Curious, I went to see him because he is my favorite singer Chris Daughtry's favorite singer. Loved the music, and in that music venue the Bear's Den, every concert is fantastic. We could have used a little more interaction from Ed and his side kick, as the stage in this facility is very up close and personal to the fans.

I have to say I have been a huge fan of LIVE for a couple of decades but until their last 2 albums had not had the chance to see them perform live. Throwing Copper from start to finish is an amazing album and to have it played from beginning to end was a real treat. Since Ed has been on his own I feel like he's really come into his own and his solo career is something not to be missed. The band backing him put as much into the performance as Ed as if they had been with him way back the day. They owned they night. The Paramount is a fantastic place to see a show, and I can't wait to go back their to see another show, but mostly I can't wait for Ed to grace Long Island again! I will definitely be going!

The performance was everything I hoped it would be, and more. My wife and I have been huge LIVE fans since Throwing Copper came out in 1994. We attended every Live concert that came to our area and then some. So when Ed went out on an acoustic tour, we thought we might enjoy the show. He did play some of our favorite LIVE songs and ended with a decent version of Lightning Crashes. Although Ed still has one of the best voices that a front man could ever wish for in rock n roll, we did find the show to have a distinct lack of energy. At times we were frankly bored. Ed if you happen to see this review, please consider finding a way to reunite with your LIVE brothers or to at least add some metal to your sound. In my humble opinion you are wasting your endless talent on a solo effort instead of uniting with other musicians who could augment your amazing sound. I predict that your acoustic tour will be short lived.

I have followed the band Live for over 20 years.and was sad to see them break up. Although, I have been fortunate to follow Ed in the tri-state area for many appearances (over 15 at least). I never get tired of seeing him perform, however I believe this show may have fallen short due to the Sugarloaf venue. In which, I believe would have better benefited if Ed performed in front of a full band. The solo performance in front of a video screen, and one other talented Austin guitarist was entertaining, but didn't move the crowd on a Thursday night. Hopefully, Ed get's back on the road with the band I saw at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. They probably made for one of the most memorable experiences since going solo.

Took my GF to the show, as she is an avid Live fan. We both had a BLAST! Ed hasn't missed a beat and the sound was amazing. Highly recommended for any fan of the band. Only reason not being *'s is that the drinks were pretty pricey.

Great concert, small intimate venue. At some point Ed came of the stage and walked through the crowd. I could actually touch him! I hadn't listened to Live for a while and was reminded of how great the music is.
