All of the acts were a lot of fun. Very creative themes and outfits, and the dancers were all very talented. Some more so than others, but overall, a good mix of intermediate and professional dance talent.

There were a few good dancers there, but the majority of the dances were amateur, not together, and/or too repetitive in their movement. Definitely not worth the $80 I spent for 2 tickets. To top it all off the food at the Birchmere was not good either.

I can't believe how incredible these belly dancing troupes are. One was from London, another from Colombia, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, DC, and all over the US. Shakra is still my favorite by far. Last year's "It's the fruit..." was a religious experience for me. This year's act was super original, but seemed to lack the gutteral (is that a word) "rock my bones" feel that last year's act had. Bella Donna had the rippling effect going on down south while balancing two saber-like swords horizontally on her head. Her entrance was befitting any diva. The girl who truly rocked the house this year was Di Ahna Restry. Her macabre-like circus attire, along with hat, vintage goggles, and super chunky "I'm gone wok on yo back" boots, added to the whole dark, sinister mood of her act. The music mix beats with occasional voice-overs sent chills down my spine. And when she finally "smiled" at the end of the act I was truly scared for my soul. Of course I would have followed her just for a cup of coffee. And I'm married to a fabulous Italian man. Belly Horror folks: I'll be buying tickets for years to come and telling all my friends this is a show they do not want to miss.

The Bellyhorror show is a must see Haloween event. The amount of time and effort spent on dances, costumes, and decorations are astounding. Every second is entertaining.

I'm a bellydancer myself. Belly Horror may not be for everyone and not necessarily for everyone in the belly dance community, but it was really fun. I only wish I could have attended all of the performances. It would be nice if there was a more affordable ticket that combined all the performances in one ticket as an option...

Belly Horror has grown from its 50 seat theatre five years ago to filling the Birchmere. It is still amazing. Filled with hip-shakes, shimmies, back bends, Belly Horror is a dark mix of horror and humour. Killer Tomatoes, Chuthlu, and mirror universes. Even the talented emcee got into the act.

A FUN belly dance/fusion performance with a Halloween theme. This event is hosted by Belladonna and Mavi of Romka. They put on a great show with some really cool dances in it. Some of the performances weren't 100% awesome, but the show is all together great fun. I had problems narrowing it down to my top 3 favorite performances of the night.
