We had a great time and spent something like 8 hours at this event. We planned well with a pre-entrance parking lot mini-party and brought in a large bottled water each to save something like $10 right off the back (yes, bottled water was $4.50 each!!). It's great how they rotate the main stage to keep the music pumping through the night.

Great line-up, great-value! I really enjoyed the spectrum of artists, from Devo to Cage the Elephant.

Great show, in my opinion STP stole the show, Scott Wyland was amazing! Hole was surprisingly good and Courtney Love was actually very funny and sounded really good!! Sublime had a tough time following STP, a lot of people started to leave when they came on!..I would absolutely go next year!!

We go every year and KROQ never disappoints. The line-up this year was great and all the bands sounded fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of bands that I wasn't sure I'd like. The Dirty Heads were WAYYYYY better than I expected, Spoon, Cage the Elephant and the Silver Sun Pickups were solid, Paramore was fantastic, Devo was great even though they are freaking wackos, Courtney Love's voice is still as rockin' as ever and I thought "Hole" (not really Hole but whatever) sounded pretty good. The night really started, in moy opinion, when STP took the stage. Scott Weiland was electrifying and they sounded amazing. Sublime with Rome was fun and it was great to hear all the usual Sublime favorites. AWESOME show, can't wait for next year!!

Sublime was amazing. Rome sounds like Bradley. All bands were cool and played what we knew. The newer bands played their catchy singles and all was well.

What a great way to start off the summer. The weather was great, the band lineup on both the side stage and the main stage was timed perfectly and gave you time to see all the bands. The interview that Stryker from KROQ FM did with The Dirty Heads was fantastic! Thanks KROQ!

The Weenie Roast is always full of surprises, you never know what will happen. I decided to buy tickets for this lineup do to its revival of 90s alternative rock bands. Their were new acts in the lineup such as the temper trap and passion pit but we can easily draw the music influence source for each. I had so much fun and recommend it, here is my review I got in to the show in enough time to catch the last song by the temper trap, what i saw wowed me and I wish or want to see more of the band. The Passion Pit was devine with their synthpop music, the opening song reeling set the groovy dance move n closing out with sleepyhead who doesn't know that song. I had read good reviews on passion pit and I am definitely a fan now! Against me is not my kind of music but as performers they put so much energy out and was pleasing to watch. Chevelle's frontman Dean sang with so much emotion, I am a fan of their music but as a band they weren't entertaining to watch they need to get into the spirit and just rockout together as a band the bassist, Dean was so far away and this is a band that consists of 3 band members only. Now, the Deftones were AMAZING !!!! With Chi's situation I expected the band to be somber, and Chino's performance to be careless. I was amazed, they rocked the side stage. The opening song was a total mess do to Chinos mic, but for the second song he got a new mic and it was on. Chino threw the mic that ruined the first song across the audience, one of the memorable moments. Chino has never sounded better, and he looked so healthy. The performance was so energetic, the crowd was pitting, crowd surfing and the hardcore fans sang to every song. The bands performance was full with movement, sweat and interaction with the crowd. Stephens guitar riff were so clean, and he brought his tan and brown LV guitar for those classic songs such as around the fur, lotion and knife party. The closing song was Birthmark and my oh my the crowd had to mega pits and everyone let loose! The Deftones never seize to amaze me, I have been following(attending their concerts) this band since 1997 and they have always given 100%. Im glad they closed out the side stage it gave the crowd an opportunity to experience the Deftones live performance. The Main stage acts could have been better. I am a Hole fan, but Devo was the best performance of the main stage (sorry STP). The first band the dirty heads didn't do anything that appealed to me, in the audience they had very few followers. Cage the elephant was interesting but not my cup of tea. Now Spoon and the Silversun Pick ups set the mood for the alternative scene that evening. Both bands were great and it was my first time watching them and they had the audience rocking out. Now Devo, took to a whole another level, they started out with don't shoot i am a man in white costumes with helmets that covered their eyes. It was so fresh and new and the funny part is that they've been around for nearly 30 yrs. The effects, visuals, and light concepts transcended the audience to every songs mood. I have never seen Devo live before, and i was just breath taken by their set. They played their classic hits which everyone knows I wont mention their names. They were the only band that did a costume change that was efficiently quick for the time given. Their aesthetic is pretty phenomenal. I enjoyed watching them and would see them again! Courtney Love has not changed one bit, she still has it. Same careless attitude, but delivers a song with such depth and emotion. Hole has a new lineup, not the one I saw 12 years ago. Hole delivered the goods and the audience gave Ms. Love the big welcome back. STP reunited again, the four original members together sharing the stage. STP was everything I expected them to be, and what I had read about their live performances. I wish their set could have been longer. STP has so many classic songs it would have been perfect if they could have performed them all, but what I got was just a taste and it will do for now. Scott looked cleaned up in a white dressy shirt, vest and black pants his dressing taste has matured but he still has that edge! I left after STP and didn't catch Sublime. Next year if the line up is as good I will be attending! :-)

Overall a good show but had technical difficulties a few ties that cut into the limited sets for each artist. More restrooms at the side stage would be nice as well as a little shade to rest in. Side stage started off slow but then got going. It would be better to keep the slower and electronic acts on a separate stage going on at the same time. The main stage acts were good as usual. Devo was out of place but overall a good show.

As always the 2010 Weenie Roast was a great show. Tons of booze, good food, and majority of fans that left their neg. attitudes at home. A couple of things that sucked big time was the line to get in (35 minutes cause of overly pat you down and feel you up security), Deftones on the side stage (total B.S. as they stole the whole show and should have been on main stage as a headliner), lines for the bathroom (huge problem every year), and Sublime with Rome? ending out the show!?? They were soo bad. Still trying to figure out how the hell they got there and why they were headlining with STP. Overall good show yet lineup a little weak and the best bands were discarded to the side stage.

The main stage was awesome. They were all so good live. Props to Dirty Heads, Paramore, Spoon, Silversun Pickups and Stone Temple Pilots, and Sublime with Rome. I was so surprised how much I like DEVO's set. The only change I would make is move HOLE to the small stage. let the crazy chicks that love her watch her in a contained area.

It was my son's b-day gift (10 yrs Old). We got to share a memorable time together. Our very very 1st Concert. Mother & Son. Weather was perfect, people were nice food was YUMMIE. Stage 2 Opening "The Temper Trap" 1 of my favs rocked. Ending stage 2: "Deftones" all I have to say is WOW... I was in love... Our lovely assigned seats were great...But too see me sons face light up with Joy while his favorite band "Paramore" perform was PRICELESS. Loved SIlverSun Pick-Ups 2!!!!! Hopefully next year if KROQ has another great line up,I would do it again in a heart beat. <3 <3 <3

Mini stage: was mainly boring, catching just a few singles i know from the vaguely interesting Passion Pit. The good news is they faced the walkway so you could listen to it all from afar - which was better on the ear drums as the bass was sometimes too much and overpowered any tune / vocals / melody that might have been present. Main stage: Dirty Heads seemed a Sublime tribute band - i was bored, I enjoyed Cage the Elephant more than most - crazy high energy and raw sound that might have been better at a small venue, Spoon was tight but boring, Silversun Pickups were interesting, Paramore was a guilty pleasure and fun, DEVO was totally amazing and somehow still ahead of their time, Hole was great and I wasn't expecting the entertainment I got - loved it - very happy I have now seen them/her live, STP blew our minds and I have never heard a crowd chant anything (lyrics, band name) so loud before - they were in top-notch form and we feel like for the rest of our lives we'll get to say 'yup, we saw them live' - we left as Sublime started, fun party music and the old stuff will always be great classics, but I didn't think it was the highlight of the day by far. Food / parking / merchandise all good, i'm pleased with the organization etc.

Young the Giant: B. I was pleasantly surprised by them, they were a solid band with some good melodic alternative rock sounds. Foster the People: B+ This was another band with a ton of potential, they just released their first album a week ago. Every song was interesting and instrumentation changed on every song. The earlier songs were based on multiple vintage organ sounds and they made good use of a second drummer at times. The first few songs had no guitar at all, but when one of the guys finally picked up a 6-string he was really good. They did have some technical problems at one point, I'm pretty sure they didn't intend to sound like demented dolphins on acid, but that interlude was short and the band handled the issue like seasoned professionals. Likke Li: W The rumor was that she got sick. She was one of the acts I had most wanted to see. The Airborne Toxic Event: B This was another band that impressed me. Their song "Sometime Around Midnight" has been my favorite song of the moment for a couple of weeks now, They made good use of a violinist and I enjoyed every song that they played Neon Trees: B+ I joked about the lead singer looking like Puck from Glee, but he has a ton of charisma and is a great front man. The hit "Animal" certainly got the crowd excited. I could see any of the 4 bands that played on the side stage early in the day making the big breakthrough to major stardom. Face to Face: C They were the first band to play on the main stage and they were pretty much straight ahead punk. They were fine but I didn't see or hear anything exeptional. A Day to Remember: D- This was incoherent screaming over indistinct sonic sludge. They are one of the worst band's I've ever seen. At least they provided a good break to go and get dinner. Cage the Elephant: B Cage are a band that sounds much different live than on record. The live band is much more straight ahead punk and generally sounds stripped down compared to their recordings. Molly and I both thought that they sounded better than the did when they played the same show last year. Bad Religion: A They are one of the classic punk bands that are still at the top of their game. I am biased since Greg Graffin is my age and got his undergraduate geology degree from UCLA the same year I got mine from USC. The show tightened up on security this year and one of the things they wouldn't let people bring in were lighters. That was probably due to the last time I saw the band at Irvine Meadows there was an impressive flurry of arson when they played "Los Angeles is Burning". Pretty much every drink cup and tray at hand up on the lawn was lit up. It was a spectacular sight, but I can see why they needed to clamp down this time. The Strokes: C+, They were fine. I just don't get why this band is as popular as they are. There is nothing wrong with them and they have some decent songs but not a lot of depth to them that I can see. Rise Against: A- This was a band that I'd heard the hits from but had tended to be dismissive of. They won me over as a live band though. They nicely bridge the gap between melodic metal and punk and have a lot of energy as performers. I'm going to have to go back and pick up some of their albums now. Foo Fighters: A+ They were the surprise act this year and they were amazing. They basically cranked up the energy and played the hits. Dave Grohl seemed to be really enjoying the event and told stories about renting an RV and driving down to Irvine to spend the day. The set was more uniformly rocking than a full set would have been, they only throttled back the pace and dynamics a couple of times towards the end. The energy from the band and crowd was great. An unexpected highlight was a "Live at Leeds" style version of Young Mans Blues. Like the whole set, they nailed it. Linkin Park: A- They were the headliners, but the rap/metal hybrid bands pretty much peaked in about 2001 for me. So I wasn't expecting much. As they went on though they kept playing songs I knew and liked and I had to admit they were putting on a very good show. They kept the crowd there and involved, which is unusual for the last band at such a long show.

Having never been to a Weenie Roast, I was very excited to be there. There were great bands and the overall atmosphere was great. A lot of the bands I had seen before, but the one I hadn't was STP and in my opinion, they were the best of everyone. There's something to be said for a band that has been around for a while. My only negative comment was that the sound was terrible. I've been to Verizon many times and this was the worst. The mix was bad and the volume was loud enough. But, a good time was had by all...

After attending this event I can definitely say that these types of all day events are not for me. I'm not a fan of drunken fools stumbling over each other and distracting those of us who went for the actual purpose of this whole thing. The music. Everywhere I looked there was people who were only there for the party atmosphere and to watch the headliner. I know that it's a concert and people drink and have fun but this event seemed to be in excess of the norm I'm used to at normal concerts. Maybe it's just me but I really would have liked to get the full experience of watching some of the early bands. I will say though that once the bigger bands came out it seemed to focus everyone on the music. A surprise performance from Blink-182 was cool but you take my overall experience and add the fact that the Red Hot Chili Peppers cancelled, it really was not worth it for me.

Don't get me wrong, all the bands played great, but the whole reason i went was to see Red Hot Chili Peppers!! If they hadn't been playing in all honesty i wouldn't have been there, so in part i felt like i wasted my $! The event was great as was the lineup this year. Other than exiting the parking lot, I found that the KROQ personnel showed disrespect by partying and playing loud music in the smaller stage towards the end of the night when the bigger bands were performing. It was very distracting and I'm sure that Florence and OMAM did not appreciate it.

the one hit bands need to be eliminated from the weenie roast. the first five bands on the main stage were a waste of time. i would rather see better bands with longer setlists, than crappy bands who play for 30-40 minutes. we are being forced to spend a lot of money just for lawn seats this was not a 68 dollar show. naked and famous, beck and avicii where good and well worth seeing, but not for $68 on the lawn.

Was really stoked for Weenie Roast this year because I was excited to see almost every single artist (both side & main stages)! It was super hot near the side stages as the sun pretty much beat down on us, but the 2 stages kept things moving quickly with little downtime in between. Only quip with the side stages is that the beer vendors were right next to the entrance and towards the walking area in the back making it difficult to walk from side to side. All the main stage acts were wonderful. My favorites were Capital Cities, Fitz and the Tantrums, Fall Out Boy, Foster the People, and suprisingly Aviici!

I really enjoyed the show. The side stage leaved a little to be desired since it was limited in the number of spectators able to see anything. The promoters released a significant block of tickets a couple of days before the show and wouldn't let me upgrade my seats. As a result, large blocks of seats were not sold or used. I think that this is a waste. I should have been able to upgrade at least since they were holding on to the seats to the last minute. Besides that, I had a good time.

Weenie Roast was a blast once security stepped in to get rid of these two woman who were blitzed beyond belief and crashed the seats in front of us. I must say it was a bit disappointing how long it took security to get rid of them. One of the women couldn't hold her head up and was laying across the women next to them. The other woman got violent and tried to hit my boyfriend, and still security did nothing to kick them out. This was all during Bastille who I had been wanting to see live for awhile and it ruined the entire experience. I go to several shows a month and the lack action from security at this venue was inexcusable. Overall the bands and the line-up were great. I have attended Weenie Roast in years past and it's always a good time but it definitely makes for a long day.

I love the weenie roast.. I have gone to 8 of the last 10 and the only ones I missed was because I was out of the country. The Weenie Roast is a great place to see all the current bands playing on Kroq. Keep in mind that if you like a bands radio song, then you will most likely LOVE their other stuff. For instance, I wasn't so sure about this line up, but as I started sipping my Corona and listening to bands like Bastille, Fitz & the Tantrums and Fall Out Boy I knew that I had made the right decision. This year Avicci NAILED IT. Imagine tens of thousands of people all dancing with tons of lights flashing, confetty falling, and a vibe that cannot be matched. I love the Weenie Roast. You will too.

This was such a fun event! This was my second time attending this event, and first time sitting on the lawn. I was a little apprehensive about the lawn but surprisingly the view is pretty good, don't expect to see performers clearly but you still definitely feel very much involved and part of the crowd! The music is loud and awesome, my favorite was by far foster the people. Overall, really fun and I'm really glad I got to go!

This was my 15th year of attending the Weenie Roast concerts which I look forward to every year. There is always a great line up and KROQ keeps the concert on schedule by having the rotating stage. I can hardly wait for next years lineup!!

There are always good bands at Weenie Roast. Even if I don't consider myself a fan of all them they are pretty good and entertaining! I LOVE the surprise bands and this year was definitely not disappointing! Love STP, Love Chester!!! Look forward to seeing them next year...hint, hint. All the bands were really good!

I thought the highlight of the show was seeing Monsters of Men preform. I also liked Imagine Dragons, Stone Temple Pilots, Black Keys, I could go on and on.

Everyone was commenting on the weak lineup....but...most the bands on the Main Stage were better than anticipated and surprise guest STP w/ Chester from Linkin Park as lead singer was the topping on the cake! A great time...no waiting in between bands....cannot wait till next year! Kroq you always get it right!

I love this day when it comes around every year. First off, they have it setup in two different areas, a stand alone stage and then the main ampitheature portion of the venue. It almost makes you feel like you're in two different concerts. Plus, for the bang for the buck, it's usually a solid lineup. I do hate the process of getting tickets, as KROQ does make it a pain and they usually hog all the premium ones for their conrests. Also, parking is free and easy to get in, but hope you have enough gas upon exit - you'll be there a while, depending on where you park at. It's always a nightmare leaving. That place is always super packed, but the energy from the crowd is always a good time. Overall, worth the trip - bring cash and make sure your gas tank is full before you get there!

Jimmy Eat world, Imagine Dragons, and Silversun Pickups were the highlight of the event. My boyfriend and I were waiting for Thirty Seconds to Mars. It started off amazing, the set looked incredible. Then Jared Leto started singing and it was God awful. He claimed it had been a year a half since his last performance, and he sure did perform like it. Disappointed us so much we didn't even feel like staying for Black Keys which I'm sure was amazing.

The lineup was awesome! The people were mellow(until it was time to get out of the parking lot). Having lots of food allergies it was really nice to be able to bring a lunch. Weenie roast was the show we would always go see and now I remember why. Next year I'm leaving coachella to the edm kids and going back to weenie roast for a rock concert.

Was a great lineup in the wrong playing order. The rotating stage was great leaving almost no time between bands. Odd to have coldplay headline with this lineup. Garbage at 5pm was a mistake...they were incredible but deserved a later time and longer set

All of the bands rocked!!!! The side stage bands were amazing and definitely pumped the crowd up for the main stage bands. I actually think the side stage bands were better than the main stage bands. That is until the Foo Fighters showed up as the special guests. They wrecked the place! Foo Fighters were so good that I think they took the wind out of Linkin Park's sails. This is the best show I've been to in years! I highly recommend going to Weenie Roast. Tickets go fast! p.s. Lykke Li was a no show. I never found out why she didn't show.

Awesome show!! Been going to KROQ shows for many years and took my 2 teenage boys this year. They loved it! They are into my old punk stuff so we all enjoyed Bad Religion and Rise Against. And I am totally into A Day to Remember with them. They were so good too. Not huge Foo Fighters fans but when they came on as surprise guests it was so exciting! And they were amazing - played all the hits as Dave Grohl said! I was so glad my boys got to see them. Don't really like Verizon venue, but it was totally worth the drive and definately got my money's worth!

Foo Fighters stole the show. Great choice for the surprise band. Revolving stage and split stage were absolute bliss for attention deficit person like me. However, the sound was unbelievably poor. Far, far too loud and distorted particularly regarding the first group of bands. Expected it to improve in the amphitheater, and it did - slightly. . . but really surprised!!! Expected the first few bands to suffer through trial and error sound but it did not improve until the last few bands appeared. Bring earplugs!!

By the end of the night, I was shivering, my eyes were red from crying, my throat was sore from belting, and my whole body was aching. It was wonderful. The bands that really stood out for me were Paramore, Sublime, Chevelle, STP, and DIVO. I just wish it lasted longer and had more bands. I really wanted it to last forever!

Weenie roast was way better then i expected. Better then warped your no doubt, and the best part is the amazing set lists they have. i specially liked how i didn't have to be standing up the entire time. So i can see the bands performing, and don't get exhausted, too hot and stomped on by the crowd.

The vibe of the Weenie Roast is always good, but the lineup and the schedule this year was kind of weak. Sublime is fine and all, but with no stage presence at all, there is no way they should've closed out the show, mean while a band like Deftones plays the side stage, and commanded that crowd like only STP did all day. Courtney Love is a wreck! A rock star yes, but a good rocker she is not!

The side stage was awesome. Loved the two stage set up there. Temper Trap was great. Found a new band to get into. Paramore, stellar as usual. Amazing stage performance and voices. STP was the best I've seen this time. Of course Sublime was great. Loved that you could bring food and 1 water. Made the day alot more tolerable. The giveaways were a nice break up of the day too. Food and beer prices still too much but still managed to have it all.

This was the third time I have been to Weenie Roast, I think the line up this year was not as good, but at least the tickets where cheaper this year. I wish they had stuck with the normal genre of music that they usually did, but it was still a fun time. Missing, Bad Religion, Rise Against, and all those people :(

The show had an odd combination of bands, most good, but didn't really tie in altogether that well for a full evening. Devo I found to be out of place and tiring. Courtney Love just looked tired. And Sublime coming on after STP was gilding the lilly too much. STP is not an opening act. One-third of the crowd was filing out during Sublime, which to me is unfortunate. But I get it. Surprised by the Dirtyheads. Great new band.

Everything about Weenien Roast was great! The food, the people, and of course the bands. The best part was the bands on the small stage bgecause there were no seats, so it was an up close and more personal performance. Especially Deftones, they were the best performance of the day! Weenie Roast is worth every penny, and I plan to return next year!

The things you could and couldn't bring didn't make sense, you can bring water but you had to trash the cap, you couldn't bring blankets, but blankets were on sale there... The music was great, it was over crowded as usual. Too many people smoking.
