The Colourists are amazing. They have an interesting set up on stage where they were able to fit everyone across in the same row (unlike the usual setting where the drummer is behind the singer/guitarist/bassist. They sounded great and the drummer really packed a punch with every song. They also had great band banter and seemed like nice folks. I can't wait to see them again.

I really enjoyed the colourist as well as the opening acts. I enjoyed the setlist very much, they're a good band live and have really catchy songs. I was close to the band and could see their energy and they seemed really happy to perform for us. The members all smiled at me and my friend who were psychotically singing along all the words. Overall it was a great experience, and we got to meet and talk with the whole band afterwards. Great people.

The Colourist has really gotten a lot better since I last saw them, when they opened up for The Naked and Famous last fall at Terminal 5. They only had a limited EP and I remember thinking their stage performance could use a little tweaking. Well! They have certainly blossomed since then. Maya is an amazing drummer, never losing energy. Adam is a great vocalist and manages to communicate with the audience and encourages participation, which is always a plus in my book. Justin and Kollin produced their melodies with a great flow. Opening acts Mainland and Field Mouse were also surprisingly good, and I hope to see them again. Overall great concert, great low price, great intimate venue and an overall good time!

The concert was great! The venue was small and narrow, not a good place to see but the sound made up for the lack of viewing. Keep up the great work!!

Shows at the basement in general are awesome because of how intimate they are. This show specifically was great because me and my friend got to meet the band afterwards, they took pictures and signed their drumstick, record, and setlist. The Colourist are gonna blow up soon so I'm happy that I got the opportunity to see them with such a small crowd beforehand. Establishment was kind, and the openers were good as well.
