I am a huge Bad Books fan, so I am extremely baised - obviously the music was awesome to me. The Newport is, of course, an excellent venue for a show. Combine the two..wham! Sweet event.

I stood up top on the second floor for the first time, and I had an enjoyable time. I still had a great view of all the acts performing. Each act brought something wonderful to the stage and some how the Front Bottoms crowd came out early and poured their heart into the set. They even went as far as to chant for 1 more song after they had put on a 25 min set.

Kevin Devine had a somewhat slow set but, that is mainly because following The Front Bottoms is NOT an easy task. They put on an incredible performance complete with a whacky-waving-inflatable-arm-flailing-tube man!! The show was super high energy and the funny quips Brian Sella delivers between songs are very entertaining. I would recommend everyone go see a Front Bottoms show in their lifetime and realize what they've been missing.

I don't know why The Front Bottoms weren't headlining. I guess Bad Books have a bigger name because of Manchester Orchestra fame. Regardless, The Front Bottoms put on an incredible show and were definitely the reason why this venue sold out. Incredible band, incredible performance. Bad Books was alright.

I already loved this band after seeing them live with my fiance and friends we all agreed it was the greatest concert any of us had been to! We will be attending their shows any chance we get! Their opening acts the front bottoms and weatherbox were awesome too!

It was fun to be in the concert . This guys are very good entertainers. The concert was not great, but it was definitively good. The venue was not great, but the fact that it was a small space allowed the audience to be close to the artists.

Band played a lot of favorites from the two albums. And I especially liked the encore when Kevin and Andy came played softer songs without the band. But the show only lasted an hour--including the encore!

Probably one of the best shows I have ever been to. The new venue (Sinclair) was really nice too.

The Sinclair is an amazing venue. In the front is a restaraunt that is home to the 25th best burger in the US and in the back is a stage with access to several bars, a balcony, and a floor that looks like brick. Weatherbox opened an set the premise for an upbeat show and the Front Bottoms continued this high energy show and a push pit even broke out. For one who usually hates indie shows because of obnoxious crowds this was the was part of the night but the good music made up for it. Everyone was the most respectful I've ever witnessed during Bad Books and KD and Andy Hull killed it like always. Neer say no to a show here, you'll regret it

The band was as good as expected, if not better. I had a blast and was pleasantly surprised.

Manchester Orchestra always plays great shows! The chemistry between them and Kevin made this show really amazing! So much energy and good vibes. I want to thank Mr. Andy for replaying the last half of the last song. It was a great ending to a great show!

Great concert and I would defintiely go again, however I thought it was rather short. I know they only have 2 albums but they went off stage within 70 minutes of starting. They did enchores but I wanted to hear more during their regular set. I also really liked The Front Bottoms which was the second band that opened for them.

This was the best show I've seen at the Masquerade. Bad Books is an incredible conjunction of Kevin Devine and Andy Hull, two class acts, for the price of a garage band on the rise. I love the anonymity associated with the Bad Books band name because it keeps the ticket prices low. :) They sounded amazing and the friend that I literally had to beg to go with me is now a huge fan. The one problem is that during my favorite song, Pyotr, off the new album a few losers in the back were being loud and rowdy taking shots and it totally ruined the atmosphere and beauty of the song.

Kevin Devine stole the show for me. Manchester was really good too, but I'm a bit biased towards Kevin. Andy from Manchester kept ranting in between songs and that got old kind of quickly, but he was pretty humorous at times.
