I am a huge fan of Pogo and I was really excited to hear he was touring the United States and coming to Atlanta. The show itself was delayed almost an hour, but finally it began and That 1 Guy came on stage. He's like a one-man band that "plays" some kind of pipe instrument hooked up to a computer or synthesizer. For about 20 minutes I thought he was pretty cool, but his gimmicks got old very quickly and I found his music to be more and more boring. It felt like he was never going to get off-stage. I was even more shocked to hear about 10 or 11 people cheering for one more song. I don't know, maybe I just didn't get it. I saw a lot of people leave after he was over (most of them frat boys for some reason...) so maybe he had some devoted fans in Atlanta, I don't know. Either way, I seriously doubt everyone in attendance was as enthralled with him as his band of groupies was. He wasn't THAT bad, but his set was WAY too long. It went on for almost an hour and a half. My friends and I were facepalming every time he started another song. Pogo, however, was amazing. His music is so relaxing while at the same time it makes you want to dance! He stayed after the show to talk to everyone and he was really an amazingly nice guy. Unfortunately during his encore it sounded like there was a technical error and it had to be cut short. I was really disappointed, because he still hadn't played his most famous song, Alice. I'm not mad because I know it wasn't his fault, but it was still a minor let-down. The show itself was incredible and I recommend you go even if you're just a passing fan. The tickets are cheap enough that it's a great thing to do for the night. However, I would say you could safely show up at least an hour late and not miss anything important. Whatever tail end of That 1 Guy you'll catch, will be enough.

Although I came for POGO, I was impressed with both acts. It was great to see the crowd pumped and support live music.

I only give it 4 stars for two reasons. One, the show was over an hour late getting started. Two, I did not stay to watch Pogo, so I can't comment on how they were. But That 1 Guy! He is truly amazing, exciting, and a hell of a lot of fun. He is masterful, creative, and funny. I don't know that I would enjoy buying a CD of his because I can't imagine not being able to watch him. The sound is incredible but the visual is just as incredible. He is a true and soulful performer. Do yourself and favor and go see That 1 Guy.

Took my friend and my brother to see Pogo and they were glad they went, including myself. The show started off with That 1 Guy and we never heard of his material before. From the get go we were hooked with his music and his performance. Very animated, interacts with the crowd and a great lead up to Pogo. When Pogo came out he told the crowd that he'll be mixing live and isn't just played 100 percent on the computer. Though he did run into technical difficulties and I assure as I assured him (when we talked to him after the show) that that did not kill the vibe. After the show he did a quick meet and greet outside of the bar and was happy to finally say hello to him. Hope that he'll come back to Tucson and will get more people to go with me next time.
