Great night. I only went for Empire of The Sun. They were amazing. The Oakland Arena acoustics seemed a little off, but nonetheless it was a great night. The show started at 6pm but the line was about 2 hours long to get in, so either arrive super early or show up closer to 10pm when there is no line. Show was over at about 1AM. We thought we had general floor admission tickets, but instead it was seats. That was odd...so we somehow ended up on the ground floor right in front of stage. ;)

This was only my 2nd rave, but wow was it amazing! The set lists and artists were off the hook, as well as the live entertainment (including on stage fire-dancing/jump-roping, stilt walkers, and circus performers. Also the staff at the Oracle were all very friendly and obliging which made everything super chill. The only downside to the evening was the one stage so it got incredibly packed on the floor and most people were forced to sit on the side lines, which eventually made it a little difficult to dance. But other than that, I had a splendid evening and I look forward to all other Oracle events. Excellent work Live 105: Spookfest was a smash.

People were leaving during his set and were disappointed especially since he was the headliner. It was too crowded and difficult to get around. You could barely move. I had my drinks spilled on me many times. Could have been more areas to get drinks. Venue was nice..maybe not get it overcrowded so people can actually enjoy themselves more.

The best experience in my life, Dancing, the lights and the Djs were amazing. If i could change one thing, is that the Cow palace didn't let in bags, they should at least have a place were you could put it so it could be safe and not stolen

This event was so poorly organized. I went the year before and it was a lot better. I felt like the organizers didn't put an effort into it, and my entire group of friends (and everyone else around me) seemed bored. Besides from one main headliner, I felt like all the other artists were fairly boring. We stood there wanting the show to just end. Hopefully they come up with something better next year because I was pretty much turned off this time around.

Lights were amazing! Didn't have to be close to have a good time. Yes they search you by patting down. Music was more then loud enough. It was a bit tight on seating that they had to close out the floor from letting people through since it was so packed. But overall had a great time. I wish benny benassi played a bit later though. I missed most of his part of the show. People are all nice but some can get careless with how they behave like by peeing ina bottle and spilling it all over the floor -_- so just be cautious not everyones aware of what they're doing.

It was an awesome show first time I saw all the DJ's live and it was amazing. The acrobats and the people doing the tricks with fire was amazing I loved it great show I had a blast only disappointment is they didn't sell water after the show like nobody has cotton mouth lol

First off - the performances were awesome. Definitely would go back just for that. But a few negatives off set it 1. The tickets said the event went from 8pm-2am, but the day before when the set times were released, the first one started at 7 2. Wayyyy too many people. I went to an event at this same venue a few months prior and there were 13,000 in comparison to the 15,000 and it was so much better and less crowded 3. Because of the large crowds,security began setting barricades. I understand not wanting to let people come down from the stands onto the overcrowded dance floor, but when I need water or have to go to the bathroom or am feeling anxiety from the large crowd, it is horrific to find out I can not leave (I did find my way out by jumping a barricade thankfully) Main suggestion: sell fewer tickets

Venue - Perfect!! Could see a great light show ahead, seats to sit, arena style, dance floor on bottom. Organization - Great this time, orderly and non-chaotic. They had 2 intermissions from the DJ to make sure people were safe, hydrated, etc. Went at 8PM, it was perfect time to get party started. $13.50 for a beer. :/ Music - Excellent!! Great hits from today as well as remixed songs from radio. I knew practically every song! Calvin Harris & Benassi - ROCKED THE STAGE!!! Overall - SPECTACULAR!!!!! Everyone was jumping out of their seats!!! I can't wait for POP NYE!!!!

I feel this event was not put together well. Water which was a necessity at this type of an event costed a fortune and nothing seemed organised. Since this event was sold out, you could barely navigate through the event without having to crawl over isles or people. Walk ways were congested of people viewing the event. It almost turned to be dangerous if you have to get out of the crowd. In the end: to enjoy an event like this, you must be in a flat area arena or outside which people can navigate around the arena.

Amazing event. Great price for so the amount of huge artists there. Only problem was that they did not let people back into the standing area and some security guards were not letting people out as well. Other than that, it was a perfect evening.

The lights were pretty amazing and so was the bass. Benny led the night off with a great set. Datsik made the crowd die out and calm down, definitely would not recommend him right before Calvin. Calvin played all of his radio hits as well as other EDM artists, ending the night right.

Such a good time! But they oversold this event and luckily my group didn't get trapped on the floor like others. I heard horror stories from other people but I had a great time raging up in the seats!

Got to the event early (which is recommended), explored the whole arena which the whole place is nice. The lineup was everything you wanted to be. I just didn't like it when they closed mostly everything down. If a fire broke out, what then?!? just a thought. But overall it was Fantastic!

This event was awesome except for two things. I missed Benny Benassi's set because they had him perform way earlier than he should have. He was a headliner but he played before some unknown djs. Also, there were waaayyy too many people. We were all fighting for places. Another thing, once we were on the dance floor, we were locked down there and we couldn't leave. So we could go buy food or drinks or anything. Therefore, this event got 3 stars.

Spookfest 2012 was so amazingly awesome, though a bit overcrowded. wish they wouldn't over book it so badly. but the lineup was fantastic datsi was placed well in the lineup to give ppl a dancing break before calvin harris came on.

It was good! A lot if people and very crowded but its fun like that! Personaly it was "eh" for me but i only think that because of the people i went with! If you go with people that are excited abouthis event then go all foward! There are a lot of costomes that don't leave much for the imagination and careful about the crazyy dancers lol. Music was good! Warning though refreshments are a lot of $$. Overall pretty good.

Good sets, but the crowd made it displeasing. Way too many kids on drugs, kids having problems pushing and shoving each other getting through the throngs of sweaty, penguin crowd. my friend and i found a place in the stands where we could dance with out the pain of being stomped on. the set for which i had purchased the tickets was short and ended mid-song. this event could be so much better, but i am not going to jeopardize myself in bodily injury to find out. also, $10 for a cocktail? i hoped it would be a magical concoction, but it was not. No better than the drinks from Aunt Charlies, but three times the price. it was a sad night for my pocket book.

Sound setup was good. Great selection of acts. Booka Shade, DJ Shadow, & Underworld were spectacular. Switches between sets were done quickly. Energy was kept high all night. Event security were a little surly, but that's not exactly news. Restrooms seemed well maintained throughout the night. Overall, a great show. Had a blast.

I was awed by how good the night was. They have really outdone theirselves with all the celebrations. I really like their stage setup comared to pop too. The two stages is a MUST and the stage not rotating was pretty dope too. Great headliners. Go to this if you havent gone already.

Although I enjoyed myself at the event, I was dissapointed with the quality of the sound system! Given the nature of the event, it is REALLY necessary to have loud & high quality sound and this was lacking! Also, the lights were weak, i would expect more visual stimulation. The line to get in was very long and moved slow & the staff was pretty rude and confiscated everyone's lip gloss, gum, & similar innocent items, while allowing pacifiers?!

This was my first rave experience, and it was unforgettable. Finding the entrance was a little confusing, but nothing too bad. I don't understand why parking was so expensive, we ended up parking on the street and walking over. The sound and lighting was all good, and Alesso... UGH. so good <3 Heroes was the perfect way to end an amazing night.

Awful. Without a doubt most boring EDM event I've been to. Couldn't see anything. The visuals were horrible. Music put everyone to sleep. People around me were sleeping. I was freezing. Definitely would not go aagain.

Music was awesome! ales so, chromeo, duke dumont!!! All incredible headliners themselves. The only flaw was the lack of communication on what was okay to bring and what was not. We were told bags were accepted if under a certain size but then security had their own rules which were completely different. There was clearly a lack of understanding which affected the music goers.

I volunteered for the event and was able to go around the entire venue see it from different views. I was surprised to see the upper bowl was completely closed off unlike last year. I was thankful this time the lower bowl didn't try to jump onto the floor. I thought it was very interesting how Gareth Emery and Duke Dumont go the Cube DJ set. And then BOOM Alesso comes out with his massive LED set or whatever that just captured the crowd in massive lights and lasers. Happy there were water jugs everywhere so people could stay hydrated. Final thing to say is I'm happy they let Chromeo go first the Alesso. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I was when Empire of the Sun closed after Sebastian Ingrosso. Had so much fun during Ingrosso's set and Empire of the Sun killed the vibe/momentum. So I'm happy Live 105 Spookfest changed it up this year. All in all a good rave that is hosted by a Radio Show.

the event sucked so bad, if it wasn't for alesso everyone would've left already. you guys should not separate the levels there should be one type of ticket becuase those who got stuck at the seats didnt really enjoy the show. Also you guys should hire more high caliber dj's not the ones that no one has ever heard of.

I was horrified as I was at spookfest. This is the worst event I've ever been to in my raving career... The djs were so bad I almost threw up . The sound system sounded like my 2001 tv speakers. Please don' ever host spookfest ever again. Thanks

This year hands down was probably the worst out of the 3. Duke Dumont and Chromeo sucked IMO. Alesso and Henry Fong were the only ones worth while. Friend purchased a floor ticket and wasn't able to sit in the stands. WAAAYYYY less people this year.

Being very positive about spookfest this year from last year's infamous choice of making empire of the sun as headliner, I am yet to be pleased with the choices with the line up order. Why would you put Duke Dumont and Chromeo right after each other during the peak of the night? I think it was the biggest buzz kill of the whole event. 3 hours of chill music which were having guests cheering for Chromeo to stop playing. Although the massive mess up in the order Henry Fong, Gareth Emery, and Alesso were amazing, but they couldn't get bad taste from the middle of the night out . Too bad me and my friends (group of 12) are for sure not going to take the chance to go to next years Spookfest now. I know why it went from 20,000 to 6,000 attendance. Planing to go day of the dead or jack yo lantern next year. Very disappointed for two years and a row. I wouldn't be surprised if there was less people attending next year. Bottom line, Don't waste your money and time with this event I already have.

I got around the show around 6:30 so I missed a couple of acts. The entire show was amazing. The only thing that was a little off to me was the security. People were easily jumping the barricade and sitting in the closer seats. But overall the show was just amazing with no issues! Definitely would come back again next year.

I had a lot of fun. I was surprised by how little people went this year. I thought they organized all the seating very well because the floor entrance was completely separate from the rest of the seating so people could not sneak on. I don't know if people just didn't show up but the floor was only about half full even though it was supposed to be sold out. So it wasn't too crowded, the air conditioning was amazing, and the free water stations were fantastic and safe. I loved the sets and the lights and there were really good lasers! The only bad thing was that the bass was broken for Alesso's set. Overall I had a great time and I hope more people go next time.

The event space was large enough to accommodate the amount of attendees. I did not like that the floor level was a separate price and was not accessible without having purchased floor level tickets. This was the first event that I had attended that I was forced to stay in the seats area. My husband and I were okay with it for this event because there wasn't anyone big that we were there to see and wanted to get close to the front for, but it was still uncomfortable to not be able to move around and join the dance floor.

This rave was horrible. The lag between each sets was unusually delayed, the artists that were here seemed extremely amateur. Gareth Emery and Alesso Saved the show, but it wasn't enough. Maybe coming from bigger raves I had bigger expectations for this, but the fact that 2 hours into the show not even the floor was half way filled is unacceptable. I paid 45$ for the upper floor and they couldn't sell enough ticket so they upgraded us to the lower level. Since they couldn't sell tickets, they sold them for 25$ the week before the show. I would not recommend. Also, light setting was bland and not amusing besides during Alesso's set. Don't waste your money.

I have never attended an event so poorly managed as Spookfest. The security line to get on the _grounds_ took nearly an hour to get through. Once inside, the main entrance to the floor had been closed because it was overcrowded, so we had to take a long, one-way route to the club level to come down to the floor by stairs. At this level, we learned wristbands were supposed to have been handed out at the floor entrance (which we didn't get), and no fewer than 6 staff members blew us off in trying to get them. By the time it was all sorted out, we had wasted nearly two hours between parking our car and actually getting to the floor. The only reason this wasn't 1 star was because Sebastian Ingrosso delivered a great performance, and despite the venue's best efforts, we didn't miss it.

They stopped selling alcohol at 11:30pm, which was really lame since the show ends at 1:30am. Empire of the Sun probably wasn't a good closer for the event. Also had too many long breaks in between sets.

After waiting an hour to get in. Then having to wait another half hour because my friend had lipstick. Something that is apparently not allowed in the arena. We missed most of the band we wanted to see. Had to buy a $14 dollar beer. But couldn't get a second because they stopped selling booze around 11:00pm. Saw a bunch of passed out girls getting hauled off on a cart because water was to expensive. It was an all around awkward experience. Then some whiner loser threatened to cancel the show. Because people were not sitting in their assigned seats. They left the lights on with no music for 20 minutes. It's a freaking EDM show. People like to dance around. It was an overall poorly run event. I will never go again.

Only problem w oracle arena is that they are very controlling on who is allowed in open area for general admission. Big events like that need a bigger space so it's fair for everyone to roam around the entire event. But other than that it was a great show.

This years line up was incredible which is why my friends and I went! The performers did not disappoint. We splurged on a party bus from SF to Oakland only to arrive at 8:30 and wait TWO HOURS to get inside. TWO HOURS. I missed almost two entire performances - A Trak and Nervo who I wanted to see. I feel cheated out of my money. On top of that the security guards were rude and aggressive. Three people checking security for the entire arena, really!? I've been to other events at Oracle that were much more organized. The two hour wait was a buzz kill for an otherwise fun evening.

Wow was the ball dropped at this concert. First took over 1 hour to get in. I know its edm and the staff have to search you but only 3 people checking id, 6 people to search you, then 6 people to scan your ticket and 3 people giving you a wrist band for dance floor. way too long and way too many not needed people. then half way during the concert they wouldnt let people who went to the bathroom and get water back on the floor. You had to go all the way back upstairs and come back down. water is kind of critical at edm. Then they stop letting people on the dance floor around 11. Live 105 charged more for floor tickets so how can you hit max capacity unless you over sold tickets. shoot the upper deck was 70% empty. If you let all the wrist band people get water and bathroom without going all the way around you would have been able to slow the amount of people trying to storm down the stairs. then 1 dj turned on the lights due to people jumping onto dance floor and then 30 pause to set up for empire of the sun. couldnt you put up a DJ during the 30 min delay

I had so much fun at the show this year! The groups/dj's were amazing! There seemed to be way more people there this year too. The event was also laid out much better, even putting areas for water/beer inside of the show area. I recommend this show to any who wants to dress up, dance and listen to great music for halloween!

Spookfest had an amazing line up! Wolfgang Gartner had great beats as well as Dada Life, who are my new favorite DJs!! Everything about the set-up was great. They brought in extra bathrooms with really helped. However, they can work on the sound in that venue. The sound did not have a sufficient enough amount of bass compared to other events I have been too.

Overall, I was completely satisfied with Spookfest. With everyone dressed and pumped for the music and lights, the atmosphere was great and it was contageous. There was plenty of space even though there seemed to be thousands and thousands of people there. The idea of having another, much smaller and intimate room available got me excited and I visited that room many times especially when LA Riots was there. It was great. The venue was the reason why this event was amazing. The air was pretty much breathable unlike at most massive rave events. It almost felt like the event was happening outside having all that air.

Great Line-up, Music could have been a little louder. I went to Tiesto at the Cow Palace and I know what is possible there. Also, it felt like a high school party with all the under agers there. Not saying it was bad but maybe balance it out.

Absolutely fantastic. Atmosphere was amazing, production was exceptional. An unforgettable night. The two different stages made it exciting and kept me entertained all night. Not too many people but still enough to remind me of how incredible the city of San Francisco is. One of the better events I've attended in 2010.

Spookfest had a great line up, Steve Aoki was the best. The smoking area was really really small this year, and it was hard to find a spot to stand without being squished. The security didn't let me bring my umbrella in and they had me put it in a bucket outside and told me to get it when the event was over. When the event was over i went to go get my umbrella and no surprise... it was gone. Thanks security people!

The music was horrible! Aoki, Wolfgang, and DADA lyf were good. BUT they put dada and wolfgang in the small room. Does that make sense?? The djs in the main arena were horrible. It seems as though this event was poorly planned. I would not go again.

I had a GREAT time and the music was amazing!!! But i do have to say one bad thing, the age should be higher to attend. At least 18 and up, everywhere i looked i saw someone under the age of 18 either on the ground passed out, puking in a trash can or unable to walk without assistance from a friend or in many cases a cop. Over all it was a great event and i would go again next year!! Thank you

Good event, Steve Aoki absolutely killed it! Would have preferred at least 18+. Other than that the security was laid back (in a good way), the venue was large, and the people were awesome. Definitely going again next year.

All in all the line up was good, but there needs to be something done with the younger crowd and also how MOIST it gets in the small room. I rather have had no small room and all the djs in the mainstage only. One thing holding be back from going to ANY cow palace event is the fact I had condensation and sweat dripping down from the ceiling. That was just plain disgusting. I also felt that Wolfgang Gartner should have def played on the main stage.

Arrived there around 10:30 after work, got in fast which was good. Place was packed and that was good as well. People had lots of fun. Sad part of whole show was that after After Aoki played, Dj's on main stage played same tune for hours which was lame and undancable to. Other stage was a lot better but they should have been in main room.

Overall, the show was amazing! Had such a great time, the atmosphere was full of good vibes and positivity! Calvin Harris absolutely MURDERED the stage, by far the best performer. Rehab was great as well, I was a little disappointed with Benny Benassi's set because I felt he was holding back. None the less, he did a good job. One thing that definitely needs to be improved is the staff needs to be more helpful and knowledgable on the venue. None of the security guard knew where anything was or chose not to answer any questions. Had they communicated with the people more, there would be less confusion on where bathrooms were located, exits and entrances, etc. Other than that, had a great time!

Spookfest 2012 was WOOOOW!!!! Sold out and it sure felt like it!!!! I got there early like at 5 and when doors opened my friends and i were the very first ones in the arena! we got to be in the very front center stage! it felt perfect!!!! Benny Benassi & Calvin Harris put on a unforgettable show!!! i highly recommend, if you have a chance to go, GO GO GO!!! SO WORTH IT!!!! P.S. they do check for ID! But yes AWESOME TIME!!!!
