The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
THE JON SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION IN CONCERT: Playing their punk-inspired blues songs in rapid succession, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion don’t believe in chitchat between their songs -- they’d much rather keep rocking your socks off. Their loud and proud brand of rock ‘n’ roll channels classic bands like The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds, but the mood is far from traditional. Band members jump around stage and beat up their instruments to ensure they deliver the most intense sound possible. Playing several US dates on their Freedom Tower tour, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion will treat ticket buyers to all the groove and rock they can fit into a single set.

I loved the venue the performances but the raffle portion was a tad annoying. However i understand that it was for a good cause!

The event was fun but the raffle prizes weren't given out until very late - midnight maybe? And the headlining DJ didn't go on until 12:30am, at which point almost 3/4 of the crowd had left. In the future they should book fewer acts and do more raffle prizes scattered throughout the night.

Flat out the best show I have ever seen.....the lights, the venue, and most importantly the funkiest, rawest, coolest, spectacular musicians you can see in 2013. They have hit their peak 30 years into the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loved this band for years, haven't seen them enough times in person to understand their music. It sounds like sonic overload that eventually turns into music. It also has slower more melodic portions that are stunningly beautiful. All I can say is go see for yourself.

The last time my husband and I saw Jon Spencer Blues Explosion was over 15 years ago when we were dating. It was so surreal to see them again ...and looking just as young as they did then and sounding just as awesome (if not better). They are just plain good musicians. Wow, I am just so impressed. They really rocked every song and didn't slow down a minute. I'm only disappointed that the show is already done. I've been looking forward to it for months. I wish they would come back again and play Orange County.

Jon Spencer Blues Explosion is one of the most exciting live bands I have ever seen. Imagine a marriage of early Who and James Brown, with The Flat Duo Jets as the flower girl....that almost paints the picture, but don't get me wrong these guys are original!

These guys have such an amazing energy and the show was absolutely fantastic. I was actually glad that the venue changed last-minute- The Earl is more intimate and suited JSBX well. The did a good long encore and I felt I got my money's worth.

Tremendous, non-stop energy. He rocks like The Faces or J.Geils Band in their prime... and his unmistakeable voice fits perfectly with the music. Is it blues? Is it rock? Is it punk? Is it worth seeing? Yes Yes Yes Yes
