Wow! Well, I was blown away. Lets start with that! ...this is one of the most heartful and powerfully unique presentations in music I have ever seen. Larry modeled what it looks like to be authentic in emotion and musical expertise as well as being a caring musical leader of people. He showed warmth and affection to members of the group, especially his respect for his elder teacher, younger musicians, and his respect for the elders in the "audience community," children, and victims of abusive families everywhere. I have never seen/heard anything like it! "Edutainment" is an accurate description that he used to describe his work and it fits. It seems to me to be a great example of how to be an ambassador of peace from the musical pulpit. I cried several times and found it to be a profound experience. This style of presentation is what is needed in this period of human evolution I believe. His exhortation to the audience to support non-discrimination on the basis of "sexual orientation" [as well as color and sex and religion] was so gutsy. I have never heard any musician be so explicit in such a direct and caring way. As a gay man I am grateful that his song entitled "secrets," and others was performed because he "reveals" to us with so much intimacy, yes real intimacy and vulnerability, exactly what he feels about humans judging humans. very compelling... And it was done without being overly dramatic, not so easy to do. He let the performances and the feelings do the work of teaching. Bravo really. I was tempted to leave after being unable to talk with him as everyone left the stage and disappeared. I waited and just before I gave up he showed up and I was able to connect with him and celebrate what I would call a spiritual victory, for us all as human beings. So thank ou so much for giving me the honor of giving this review. Blessings to you Larry for producing so a fine musical tribute to the power of love, and blessings to us all for Larry and his profound production. By the way the supporting cast of singers and musicians was fantastic. I left being truly impressed at my first live experience of Berklee School of Music.
