Fantastic show at a fantastic venue. The Wombats took the stage and simply never stopped. Lots of energy and lots of amazing music from this 3 man band. I was near the back of the club and was less than 30 feet from the stage. I have seen hundreds of bands live and this show jumped easily into my top 10!

This was the second Wombats concert I've been to and I really don't know how to describe it other than UNFORGETABLE. It's not just that Murph (and Tord and Dan) are amazing live, they might actually better live than on their recordings, but the feel of a Wombats concert is like nothin I've ever experienced before. Mosh pits have started during both shows I've been to (both in Columbus) which shouldn't really happen at an indie rock concert but does anyway. There's just so much energy behind all their songs and in every person jam packed into that venue waiting to see this amazing trio. You may have to get through a few opening acts (which are usually good so don't close your mind) And a bit of a wait for the sound check, but it is all SO worth it! Murph is so interactive with the crowd and Tord bounces around the stage like a little ball of bass-playing energy. If you're looking for a real show with a band that has real talent, look no further than the Wombats!

Last Wednesday night was possibly one of the best nights of my life. Not only did the Wombats do a phenomenal job during the actual concert, but I got to meet them beforehand. I love that these three Liverpultians are comfortable just walking outside and meeting fans. As for the show itself, I was in the front row and had a blast! The Wombats were even better live than they are recorded, and that's saying something. The overall energy for this show was really high, and I think everyone had a lovely time!

Hate to be cliché but got to say my fave was the encore "Let's dance to joy division" - everybody revved up with a mini moshpit in front of the stage. Regretted wearing flip flops, but totally worth the re-pedicure.

Knowing that that band is huge in Europe, I couldn't pass up the chance to see them live in NYC. The best part, the ticket price ($13)! I am always a bit weary about young bands playing live. Well, my fear was tossed aside after hearing the first song. They played hard and the sound was damn near recording quality-- which can be a rarity for these indie bands. I would not pass up the chance to see them if they come to your town. My only concern is that I will never see them play such a small venue again-- which is great for them!

The Wombats played an awesome show; I only knew a few of their songs going into it, but I had an amazing time! They just had so much energy and were having a lot of fun, and the venue was small and nice, allowing them to really engage the fans. Everyone I went with agreed, this show was unforgettable!

I hadn't listened to much of Morning Parade before, but they put on a really great show. Then the Wombats came on and it was absolutely fantastic, it was the end of their tour so they were all really pumped up. At the end, the lead singer of the wombats told everybody to get crazy, a mosh pit happened, and the other band came out dressed up as superheroes

The Wombats sounded great and had amazing energy! It was a fantastic show in a great venue. Morning Parade was equally great as the opening band, and they made it a lot of fun when they took the stage in costume at the end of the night.

I haven't been to too many concerts but this one was by far the most energetic I've ever experienced. Not only were the songs memorable, the crowd-artist chemistry was amazing. I think this was aided by the intimacy of the venue, but I think that anywhere, the style of both bands would lend themselves to creating a completely worthwhile experience.

British bands, hands down, put on the most entertaining shows! It was clear from the get-go that both Morning Parade and The Wombats were great friends and knew how to have fun together. Rarely do I get to go to a concert where I love all the bands performing this much. I enjoyed every minute. Thanks for coming to Boston!!

The Wombats were amazing! They were so energetic and you could tell that they were just having a good time. Murph and Dan were cracking jokes between songs and having fun with the crowd and Tord was just all over the stage jumping around and having fun during the songs. It was great. As for the opening acts, Morning Parade and The Royal Concept, they were awesome! I liked The Royal Concept a bit more than Morning Parade, but props to MP because they were an incredibly nice group of guys and their music wasn't bad.

The show was awesome. Morning Parade really put on a really good show and got the crowd warmed up. The Wombats were brilliant. They showed tons of energy, cracked a few jokes during the show, and sounded better with every song. It definitely makes the show more entertaining when the guys on stage look like they are having as good a time as you are, and you can tell those guys love to play music as much as I enjoyed listening to it. I would definitely (and plan on) seeing The Wombats again if they ever come back to Columbus.

For only knowing of them for about a month, and having their CD This Modern Glitch for 3 weeks I love this band. Tokyo needs to more play everywhere! They really got the crowd in a fervor with their act! I am not afraid to admit that being a 40 something, their music reminds me of the great alt bands of the 80s! My wife knew nothing of them before the show and she loved them as well! Keep it up Lads!

I'm gonna be honest here, as much as I love The Wombats, they aren't my favorite band. Nevertheless, I'd say that this was the best concert I've ever been to, I even feel like it was better than the concert I've seen of my favorite band. The energy was amazing, the stage banter was incredible, the sound quality was great, and they really knew how to control the crowd. Not only did they play nearly every song off of This Modern Glitch, but they also played a good selection of songs from Guide to Love, Loss, and Desperation.

My experience at the Wombats concert at Webster Hall was great! The venue was nice-- security did it's job and was professional, and the venue had a great atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed the show the Wombats put on. I couldn't find a single flaw-- the band was lively and energetic, the singing was great, and so were the instrumentals. The Wombats attracted a wide variety of fans, ranging from teenage hipsters to middle age couples which really shows their ability to play diverse and interesting music. I definitely recommend seeing them!

Honestly one of the most fun experiences I've had. I've been listening and looking forward to seeing the Wombats for years and it finally paid off. First of all, this was the most punctual show I have EVER seen, and that's a real selling point for those of us who have work the next morning. This was my second time seeing The Wombats, and I'm even more impressed with them then I was the first time. Although there were a few minor technical issues, the band played it off well with their usual humor. I think they played a decent number of songs, although I think the encore could've been longer. However, since they'd just arrived from Australia, I won't hold it against them lol!! Love this group, and can't wait for them to come back!

The Wombats are great! Had an amazing time at this show, as did the crowd. People were jumping up and down, and dancing a good part of the show. Their music for the most part is upbeat, and I just love "Moving to NY." Usually at Bowery Ballroom it tends to be fairly easy to find your way to the front. This show, that was impossible. In order to be up close you had to be there really early. An added bonus: at the very end, The Wombats all crowd-surfed! So freakin' cool to witness that!

First, the venue was awesome; it was really intimate and allowed you to feel like you were right there in stage with the band. Wild Party, the opening act was really good too, one of he best warm up bands I've seen at a show like this. The Wombats really fed off the crowd's energy and seem genuinely extremely excited to be there. Most of the crowd was singing along throughout the concert and you could see in the band's grins that they hadn't been expecting this and we're pumped to see the crowd so into it. After the encore all 3 band members took dives into the crowd which was unreal.

Fantastic concert. The venue was very nice in that you could sit or stand - nice option for the opening bands vs. the headliner. The Wombats are as energetic as ever and are very entertaining - something about a band that does more than just play their songs. Also, keep an eye on the opening band - courtship. This was my first show at CenterStage. Had been to Vinyl a couple of times, but never CenterStage until Tuesday. Very impressed with the easy in and out and very clean venue. Sound quality was excellent, not a bad seat in the house. Since I am a little older than most of the fans of the Wombats, I opted for the seats toward the back in the center . The seat was great, but could not escape the two fellows behind me who insisted on having a full volume conversation throughout the show. I guess I could have moved or said something, but I chose to ignore it. Bottom line is that I miss the days of being able to enjoy a concert without somebody's selfish behavior taking away from the show. Overall a great night, but I will never get used to rude folks at concerts.

My first time seeing The Wombats and definitely not my last. I definitely recommend catching them if you ever get the opportunity, a great sound and very uplifting. Even if you don't know many songs you can still have a great time at their show, and if you know The Wombats you'll have an even greater time. The Wombats music is perfectly rebellious while still keeping that pop-style dance sound with an uplifting vibe to it. The girls enjoyed the show, but I have to say that a few things we were very disappointed in were the fact that we paid for the "food option" and when they tried to locate where the food was being served, they couldn't find it. They asked for assistance and no one had any idea as to what they were talking about. We intentionally did not feed them because they were going to get dinner at the venue, but instead, even though we prepaid for this service, they had to go hungry. On top of that, the show ran longer than expected, with the Wombats playing hours after start time. That would have been fine had we known, and then we could have picked up the girls to get them something to eat. Again, the show was great...but we are VERY disappointed that we paid for a service that we did not receive!

First time visit to the Hollow. Happily it was a warm evening as we waited outside well past the 7 p.m. door open hour. Venue is great small place to see a band. I would recommend getting there early as the room is much deeper than it is wide, and you could end up pretty far from the stage when the room fills up. We were at the stage and the Wombats put on a fun show, well engaged with the audience and quite funny. The lead singer when asked to get crazy, came down into the audience to sing a song. Toward the end of the show it was pretty warm and stinky! Could have used some fresh air.

I went to see the Wombats with my brother, and luckily, we got there early enough to get a really good spot. We were only inches from the stage, and the moment they started playing, I had completely forgotten my tired feet (we had been standing for over two hours already due to the previous acts). There is nothing like seeing your favorite band performed live, and their set list was wonderful. Of course I wished that they could have played every one of their songs, but as they couldn't, the ones they chose were excellent, and I only wish that they were coming back to Boston soon so I could see them again. One of the best nights of my life. Paradise Rock Club was a wonderful venue, and the intimate setting made it feel so much more personal and unforgettable. Loved every moment.

The Wombats are a fantastic live band. Even though i think the new album is more pop-ish and synthesizer in a way, the show itself was actually a little harder on the guitars, in a way that i liked. Some of the guys clearly didn't feel great, but worked through it, and the crowd was energetic and fun. I hope for their sake that they take off as a band even more, but for my sake, i love seeing them at smaller venues like the Paradise.

The Wombats are flawless in every way. Their live performance puts their recorded music (which is fantastic) to shame, which is definitely something I wouldn't say about every band. Their own unique blend of manic musical energy and devil-may-care apathetic wit are sure to charm anyone with half a brain. Their uncanny ability to make an entire room dance with abandon is only one of the things that makes them great. Without a doubt the best time I've ever had at a concert, and I can't wait to see them again. (And I won't wait long -- they're coming back in April and I've already got my ticket.)

This show was seriously the greatest I've ever been to. Openers (morning parade) were awesome and so were the Wombats themselves. Morning Parade gained a new fan that night. They were fantastic live. They didn't get a huge reception from the crowd, but people were cheering and clapping along, etc. The Wombats then came out and did their set (fantastically). Banter between the band was great, Murph sounded phenomenal, people were crowd surfing, and the guys reached out into the crowd when they were done. It was pretty awesome. Few little problems: I didn't get a fast pass ticket, so naturally I got to the venue an hour early. (And I got to see Murph walking into the venue for the sound check!) I was surprised to see there was already a sizable line, but once we got into the venue I still managed to get right behind the people in front of the gate. My problem was that the people in the front didn't move.... at all. I think they might've swayed during Jump into the Fog, but that was seriously it. In hindsight, it was great because with them not moving I had a great view between their shoulders, but at the time it was annoying. Another little problem was the wait. After waiting an hour in line to get in, the let us into the venue at around 6:45. Show was set to start at 7. Openers didn't go on till 8 and there was a good 20 minutes break between them and the Wombats. Granted, it was totally worth the wait... but still. tl;dr - Wombats and Morning Parade are fantastic live.
