As always, Peaches was innovative and edgy... this production was exciting and unique, and I was impressed by her ability to keep the audience engaged while accompanied by just a piano. I think this was a great take on a show that I knew nothing about and it fit well with the rest of her endeavors. I haven't seen her in concert in a few years, and my friend and I who went to the SF production felt satisfied that we were really seeing Peaches perform even if not in a typical show for her. I love Peaches anyhow, and this was a nice addition to her portfolio.

2nd half was better, but rock-star-does-broadway came off weak. just doesn't have the pipes t pull this off for me.

The stripped down presenatation of one of my favorite rock operas was an amazing feat of bravery and self-confidence.

This is a must see if you love Peaches and the songs of JCS. She does a heartfelt and respectful job of singing all the male/female parts of JCS. Peaches was able to go from one part of a song to the other without skipping a beat. She has a great memory of all the lyrics and it is nice to hear 1 person sing all the parts, so you could really hear and understand all the lyrics. Chilly G also rocked the full size grand piano. It was amazing to see Peaches and Chilly feed off each other. Cheers to Peaches!

I've been to a few Peaches "concerts" and made sure I wore comfortable shoes so I'd be prepared to stand up and dance the whole show. I had no idea what was in store. Peaches and a pianist. That's it. It was a very theatrical performance by Peaches. Her vocal range blew me away. She is simply amazing! Peaches does her take on Jesus Christ Superstar, taking on the roles of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and the disciples and takes it to a whole new level. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and anxiously await more creative surprises from Peaches.

Okay, so this wasn't the Peaches we've grown so enamored with over the years, with the loud music, several costume changes and sexy back-up dancers. But this musical definitely made me appreciate Peaches talent. It's strategically subdued. Her voice is crisp, clear, set to piano and beautifully dirty. I rather enjoyed the lyrics & her take on them. Check this show out if you're a true Peaches fan. However, if you wear lace stalkings, glitter make-up and happened to catch your first Peaches show at Coachella ... pass. BTW, where was Chilly Gonzalez?

The place great really clean the staff was wonderful drinks. Were at an average price. But as for the performance it was overall OK, I expected much more from Peaches, lights .....background.....dancers something! Instead all there was. Was just the blank curtains and white light.:/ I just felt like she decided that same night hey imma do this and did it. Her vocals were amazing but there were some points in her performance where I was just bored. I love visual performance all that was done was her sitting on the stage standing walking round. I'm a fan of hers don't get me wrong but I do believe she could have done much much more for her la fans. She could Have acknowledge the yelling fans and thank everyone at the end for coming..something! But nothing. It was an average performance with good vocals and loving fans.

So... The pianist rocked and her vocals were awesome but I just wasn't that into her rock opera choice. It could have been different and would have been better. I kinda wanted to stay at the sake fondue bar around the corner after sitting through the first ten minutes. Where's the teaches of peaches and sex on the beaches!

As always Peaches does not disappoint. I think half the audience was confused, but it was exactly what I expected. The Herbst Theatre itself was a treat with excellent sound.

All needed on stage was a pianist, some good lighting and PEACHES. This show showcased her vocal strength as a singer and her voice was flawless. This woman has pipes. This was the clear opposite of what she usually put out in her infamous shows. She brought a new dimension that EVERYONE enjoyed. A very unique show.

A post-modern triumph, this one woman-wonderwoman show crucified fame and blame! Peaches proves again that there's more to a soul than a hole and all that she diddles is gold.

I think I just hate musicals. I wanted to give this a try, but I don't think I'll ever see the original now. Peaches has a great voice but I guess you really have to love these songs in the first place to appreciate this. Also, some of the fans were really annoying baboons screaming out lines and acting as if it was a regular drunken Peaches show. Not my cup of tea...

Possibly one of the most brilliant shows I have seen all year! Peaches put on quite a show and it is amazing how only she and the piano could be incredibly smart, funny and entertaining. Who would have ever thought that Jesus Christ Superstar would have worked so well as a one woman show? If she ever decides to do this again I highly recommend seeing it. I now hope she brings her musical "Peaches Does Herself" across the sea.

Um not what you would expect from a Peaches show (from what I've heard.) I guess I didn't take the title Peaches Christ Superstar literally and thats exactly what you need to do when going to this event. If you want to hear songs from her last album or any album for that matter just listen to your IPOD cause your not going to hear them at this show nor are you going to see an electrifying Peaches extravaganza. Basically it was a one woman and one piano player (Chilly Gonzales, and no he is not a racy Dj he is a respectable piano player) show. The costume was still "Peaches" but her singing word for word, acts 1 and 2 of Jesus Christ Superstar (the musical from the 70's) even with it's proper intermission seemed a little out of place for the woman who has a album called "father fucker." Although from this performance you do see how well musically trained she is when she hits all ranges for every character that she portrays (yes she personally does each character's part from the musical) and she proves she can still be entertaining without the dildo's, strippers, and foul mouth that we all love. If you love Jesus Christ Superstar and are a HUGE fan of Peaches then you will definitely love it. Just know what your getting into first.
