Best show I've seen in a long stretch. Both bands killed it and were awesome with the crowd. We met the lead singer of MP after the show and he could not have been nicer. Would love to see. Oath bands return to the Brighton Music Hall!

I only knew the band because my son is a big fan. I was on vacation in Florida and tickets were available so there I was. Loved it!!! Great energy and fun at this show. It was their fourth night in a row and they were still bringing their A game. I would go see these guys again in a heartbeat.

These guys have freaking ruled for a decade now. Though they are getting visibly older, their music hasn't changed. I love them and probably always will. I also really enjoyed the fact that the 2nd generation of LTJ fans are coming to the shows w mom and pops and so there were an abundance of 8-12 year olds in attendance. Quite the sight. Set list was great and I love LTJ.

All three bands put on killer shows! This was my first time seeing Reel Big Fish and I had such a blast. LTJ has never once let me down, confetti, dance offs, stranger make-out sessions stage, balloons, and toilet paper guns. Basically I'm telling you to go see them.

Awesome show of two of my favorite bands from when I was in high school, they played with the same energy I remember from back at Warped Tour and other shows at the Newport.

The opening act was really good! They got us pumped so we were totally ready for Reel Big Fish to play. They are such an amazing band and never disappoint! You could feel the excitement in the air during their set! This was my first time seeing Less Than Jake live and I would do it again in a heart beat! They obviously love their fans and you could tell they wanted us to have a good time! Confetti cannons are like my favorite thing after ska so their set was just perfect! If you have the chance I strongly recommend seeing them live!

Great outdoor venue with plenty of space; All 3 bands were essentially headliners, and played well. I thought Reel Big Fish would be last up for sure, but at the last second they dramatically dropped their banner to come on second, but played their set and sort of did the "lets leave for an encore" bit but immediately came back. I enjoyed hearing SR played in all the different forms like off "our live album is better than your live album" Less than Jake was the band I was there to see, and they didn't disappoint, although they were definitely on the newer side of their music staying away from pretty much every loosing streak song (unless you count johnny quest, but that was technically pezcore) and minimal off hello rockview as well. . . . I've loved these guys since high school, and still do!

Reel Big Fish was amazing as always and no one can follow them. Less Than Jake seemed like amateurs after such an incredible performance by RBF. I don't understand why they were the headliners. It should have been Reel Big Fish by far! Authority Zero...who? They were not the band that I remember. They seemed out of place at a ska show and were more hard core rock.

As expected when I last saw them over 10 years ago, Less Than Jake put on a great show. They played a good mix of old and new stuff, which is good, since the new stuff is what was more fresh in my head. The mimery of the lyrics by the horn section added a lot of fun to the performance. However, I will add that Reel Big Fish, which I was not a fan of going in, seemed to draw a distinctly unfavorable crowd, leaving me more-so not a fan of them by the end. There was a significant boost in thrown drinks, crowd-surfing, moshing, etc. during the time that they were on stage, that was not there during the other bands, and if I wasn't concerned about losing my spot, I definitely would have left and come back after they were done, simply because of their fans.

Since Jannus Live is an outdoor venue, it was cold. There were so many people, it was hard to maneuver. But as soon as Authority Zero started playing, everything was great. The break in between sets was just enough time to go to the bathroom and get another beer, and Reel Big Fish and Less than Jake were wonderful. There were some unexpected covers that got the whole crowd of punk rockers singing, whether they were just over 18 or they had been fans for decades. I can't name just what was so great about this concert, all I can say is you have to see them for yourself.

Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake and Authority Zero always put on a great show and the crowd made it even better. I'd never been to the Masquerade before but I was in town on business and had to see this show and I'll be back to that venue for sure. The crowd was crazy and energetic and, most of all, fun! The pit was wild and not for the faint of heart but never aggressive. Security at the Masq focused on keeping things safe rather than trying to control people and it that kept things just on the right side of sane. Thanks, Atlanta, for some crazy memories.

At 34. my friends and I are the "old people" in the crowd, but I workout regularly specifically so that I can jump up and down and ska-nk like its still 1996! There are many reasons this band has so many old school fans that still come out to shows, the old songs speak to our past and the new songs speak to our present and they always play a combination of both. After all this time, these rascals still love what they do and it shows. Buddy gets the crowd amped up with his shenanigans, Chris and Roger talk to the crowd like we're all old friends, JR and Vinny chime in periodically with a wise-crack. These guys are authentic in every sense of the word. They play real instruments, can sing on key without auto-tune, they still meet with fans-- its a type of honesty that manufactured entertainment can never replicate. Tickets are reasonably priced, drinks are typically cheap at the venues they visit-- perfect night out for me!

I've been to a lot of different types shows. From Punk to jam band, hardcore to country. Less Than Jake is easily in my top 5 all time. They were full energy and fully engaged with the crowd. They even let a fan come on stage and play drums for one of their songs! Who does that? And the venue was the perfect spot to see a band like this. You can hang by the bar (put out the vibe), get all up in it, or get front and center. After 22 years, this band still delivers.

This show was complete chaos and I fully expected that. Break Anchor and We Are The Union were amazing as usual. This was my first time seeing The Copyrights and they were very good as well. Less Than Jake put on a fantastic show just like they do every time I see them. They were getting pushed and slammed around by crowd surfers and stage divers and they didn't skip a beat. Security was awesome as well, especially with as much as they were getting beaten on by the crowd.

Reel big fish as a group is hilarious. Their songs are cynical but upbeat and they sound great live; also the way they dressed was so funny. They stop sometimes to interact with the audience. Less than jake does this even more so, pulling people up to dance on stage. They also sound great live, and talked a bit about the tour and what the band has been up to lately, which I really appreciated. The freaking mosh pit was awesome too, if you like moshing. And the crowd was pretty great. Lively, but also considerate. Some guy dropped his glasses in the pit and everyone stopped to help find them. It was a great experience

Best show ever! It was the last show ever being held at Clutch Cargo's. I got the VIP package which was well worth it! There were only 6 of us which let the band hang out w/ us and chat for a good 15 minutes! The VIP package was a bit pricey but i hope most of it went to supporting the band. If LTJ happens to read this, i just wana say thanks again for the unforgettable night! Ska hasn't died and most deffinetly wont, im one of the few 18 year olds listening to it and im spreading to everyone i know. Keep playing and come back to Detroit!

I go to a lot of shows. This was my first Less than Jake show... it worked out too that I love A Wilhelm Scream also. I was a bit bummed that there weren't too many people there when a wilhelm scream came on... but hey, it was on a wednesday.. people work and stuff. However, when LTJ came on...the venue seemed much more packed... LTJ is hilarious, they go hard, and it's an overall great time. I WILL DEFINITELY BE SEEING THEM AGAIN... AND A WILHELM SCREAM TOO!

Less Than Jake put on an amazing show. I always love going to Starland and went a lot last year. LTJ started my show season with a bang. The opening acts were great. as well. I first band was kinda boring though, Off With Their Heads were fun. I've seen the Supervillians before and was not let down by seeing them again. But I was mainly there to see LTJ. I didn't stop the whole time from dancing. And I was so elated that they played one of my favs "Help Save the Youth of America from Exploding". I thought I myself might explode (corny I know, but I screamed like a little girl and leap into the air (I believe my little 5'2" self got higher than my 6'5" boyfriend who I brought with me). And it was fun because (I forgot which) but during one of the last songs they blew out confetti the whole song and it looked like a dream.

The show was sooooo awesome!!!! The first band, The Protagonist, was good and got the crowd warmed up for The Swellers which were totally awesome!! It was my first time seeing The Swellers. This was my second time seeing Less Than Jake and they rocked that stage and the crowd!!!!!!! The guy I took is a huge fan of the band and this was his first time seeing them live. He was inspired by this band when he was younger to start playing the drums. He is now in a kick A?? band and everyone is all about his drumming. Less Thank Jake knows how to get the crowd going. Definately would see them again. The first time I saw them was at a bigger venue and I didn't get to have that being in front of the stage experience but this time I did. The venue is a neat old theatre with a parking garage real close. The only thing that sucks is live nation/ ticket master has to be involved. They are the comcast of live performance events. They add 10$ plus to the cost of any ticket for the unfortunate convenience of having to buy tickets from them.

Both Anti-Flag and Less Than Jake are my two favorite bands, so the fact that they toured together was incredible!! I was that girl that counted down the seconds until tickets went on sale, just to make sure I was in attendance. They both put on amazing performance on their own...but together, this was hands down the best concert I've ever been to. I was pleasantly surprised by the Openers (Get Dead and Masked Intruder), they got the crowd going and added to the over all "kick-ass-ness" of the show. Oh...by the way, Less Than Jake has a new CD and everyone should go buy it.

I have been following LTJ for over five years now, and I have seen them live many times. Wednesday's show was another example of why these guys are so awesome. The opening acts were great, and then LTJ stole the show. They had great energy; they played a ton of crowd-moving songs and they sounded great!! I also thought that it was really cool of them (and the other bands) to hang out for a bit after their set. It was cool to be able to meet some of these guys and just talk for a minute or grab a picture. Overall, the entire night/show was great. I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

Everything about this band is what a punk rock show should be. Anti-flag does a fantastic job of connecting with the audience and keeping the crowd happy!!! the band is dedicated and puts in 110% every song! They are loud, passionate and raw in their delivery of every masterfully written song! Highly suggest seeing them at least once in your life!! Even tho they were one of the openers its def worth seeing them every time they come around! Less than Jake was also great with all the songs they did and so passionate towards their fans!

BOSTON -- Seasoned Less Than Jake fans and ska fans alike know exactly what to expect from the group after 21 years in the business of making records and playing shows: fast drumming, infectious bass, saxophone and trumpet playing and addicting, wrist-melting ska upstrokes. Supporting the release of their new album, See the Light, they embarked on the Fat Tour 2013, comprised of punk bands signed to Fat Wreck Chords. Less Than Jake s stop at the Royale in Boston on Nov. 12 was like no punk show I ve ever seen. It was the unofficial release party for their first new studio album in five years and the supporting acts definitely lit the match that ignited the crowd. Get Dead sounded and looked good in every aspect of their performance, but the visible intoxication of their lead singer was quite distracting to say the least. His jokes were not funny, and, at some points, quite offensive. However, their lead guitarist clearly had the skills to pay the bills as he was shredding like nobody s business on all of his lead riffs and solos. Masked Intruder then followed their performance with a style similar to Teenage Bottlerocket. Interestingly enough, the band members performed in ski masks, each with a differently colored mask and an instrument to match. If that wasn t enough, they had a guy in a fake police uniform who jumped into the crowd a few songs in. Early in their set, their song Stick Em Up (I Got a Knife) incited the crowd s first real excitement. I was honestly surprised by how many people knew the words to their songs. Maybe they just read ahead in the chapter before the lesson. Either way, the stage was now set for the next band. The pro-peace punkers from Pittsburgh, Anti-Flag, were ready to rock out for the great city of Boston. The empty space behind me was minimal, if any, when they took to the stage. Circle pits and moshing were at their maximum while they were on. Roughhousing aside, Chris #2, the bassist, took the time to remind each other to respect their fellow fan and that outside these walls, there is racism, sexism, and hatred, but here, we are all family. Twenty years into their career, their old hits just get better with age. Die for the Government, Fuck Police Brutality and This Machine Kills Fascists have lost no luster since 1996 and 2001. However, the majority of their set featured tracks from their 2006 major label release, For Blood and Empire. With songs like This Is the End (For You My Friend) and One Trillion Dollars, you won t hear me complaining. Also, Pat Thetic did, in fact, play his drums in the crowd, with Chris #2 standing on his bass drum, during their final song, Power to the Peaceful. If concerts are where band and fan become one, then that was a prime example. I was already short of breath when Anti-Flag was done playing it was time for the main event, Less Than Jake. If any member of Less Than Jake was out of breath by the time they were done playing, I would put my money on Buddy Schaub. If he wasn t playing his trombone, he was running around the stage either mouthing the lyrics of the songs or doing something funny. The band kicked off their release party with a new song titled Good Enough. However, like Anti-Flag, the classics would rule the set and there were no complaints. Losing Streak and Hello Rockview were the most represented albums with fan favorites like Automatic, History of a Boring Town and All My Best Friends are Metalheads. The band went even earlier in their discography with the first of their three encore songs, Johnny Quest Thinks We re Sellouts, from their debut album, Pezcore. They went on to conclude the show with Plastic Cup Politics and Gainesville Rock City. Less Than Jake also let numerous people onto the stage during their set for hilarious antics. Chris DeMakes (vocals, guitar) called up two older-looking men for a beer drinking contest. He then proceeded to have four young women dance with the two gentlemen while playing The Science of Selling Yourself Short. DeMakes wasn t done when he noticed a father with his seven-year-old son and said, Our parents would never take us to see us. Building on the previous comment, the band was very appreciative of all of the fans in attendance for showing up on a Tuesday night. Demakes told the crowd, You can t go to Poughkeepsie, New York on a Tuesday night because nobody will fucking be there, so thank you guys for coming out tonight. Nine studio albums and 21 years later, Less Than Jake still has the youth, energy and happiness they ve carried with them all over the world from their hometown of Gainesville, Fla. Featuring supporting acts like Anti-Flag, Masked Intruder and Get Dead, this was not a tour to miss at any cost. Punk fans should be lucky to have bands like this still around kicking themselves if they missed this show; this was one for the ages.

Less Than Jake plays an awesome, energetic show that doesn't disappoint. Afterwards, the band was a class act about meeting fans, taking photos, and signing autographs. They are a must see (and the new album is a must listen!)

As a long time fan it was great to go tho the Masquerade in Atlanta and have a crowded room of my peers all enjoying the show as much as me. It was the first time in a while I went to a LTJ show and most of the population wasn't half my age and in diapers when Pezcore came out. It made for a great atmosphere and a super fun night. 3 weeks later and I am still proudly wearing the bruises. Awesome show!

We've been fans of LTJ for such a long time and finally got to see them in concert. What an amazing show. They were very high energy and played non-stop the entire night. They played only a few newer songs, but mostly focused on their older hits. We still knew all the words. Absolutely loved them, and will definitely go see them again whenever they are back in town!

Great show as always by Less Than Jake! Always high energy and always interacting with the crowd. The only thing that would make a show like this better is if they would play a venue like this with Five Iron Frenzy! Although venue was good for band crowd interaction the security was a little strict at the beginning of the Less Than Jake set. Chris fixed that and all was well again.

The band played for a long time. Was lots of jokes in between and some great mosh pits. Imissed the first opener but Hostage Calm was really good too.

Band was ON, and the crowd was too! This was my third time seeing LTJ, but the first in 10+ years. They have lost nothing! Considered changing some serious plans when they announced a second show the next night. Change your plans if they come through town!

They ROCKED! They still got it! Joking and laughing with the crowd, these dudes jammed for a looooong time. Not sure how long I was buzzed...lol. I got pulled up on stage by trombone guy at one point, kickass way to spend New year's eve.

Loved the energy of the group and the crowd. Not to mention the House of Blues wasn't packed as always so that was a huge bonus.

I'm a long time fan of LTJ - apparently it's been longer than I thought, because during the show the band made a lot of references and jokes about their long history. They haven't changed much over the 20 years though, they still rock! And they're really funny with their banter in between songs too! Great night!

Less than Jake never disappoints. Their live shows are epic and one of a kind. Improv and crowd participation are key to their success. Must see live to appreciate them fully.

Mad Caddies were fantastic. Did a lot of old stuff and a totally different set list than they did at Velvet Jones in SB a few weeks ago. Chuck mentioned a new album. Can't wait. If you like Mad Caddies go see Chuck's solo project Elwood with NoFX at The Observatory in December. Less Than Jake was...less than exciting. There was way more energy in the room for The Caddies.

A lot of "reverb" gave a loud distorted sound. I think the sound-guy had the equipment set up like they were playing outside. Great show otherwise!

Less Than Jake are one of my favorite punk bands because they're so melodic, but the sound was so overblown you couldn't even hear the vocals let alone pick out the melody. It was basically noise with a beat. Two days later my hearing is back to normal, so I guess that's good. I saw Mindless Self Indulgence at Starland Ballroom back in March and they didn't have this problem.

Great concert, not to hate on the opening acts but I would have liked to have seen a bigger set from LTJ, as they were who brought me to the show. The staff at the Starland was incredible and would go back there to see a concert anytime. Less Than Jake are an awesome band and very fan friendly. I took my wife 5 yr old son & 11 yr old daughter, thanks for the great concert.

My all time favorite band. I saw them in concert in Japan and I was one of the only Americans in the crown. There music is well know in Japan too. A Very energetic concert and they get the crown envolved, encourage them to participate in singing, crown surfing, moshing and they may even have some props on stage. Don't be suprized if they even dress up once in a while. They play a blend of puck/rock/ska. Vinny on drums, Roger on bass/vocals, Chris guitar/vocals, JR on sax, and Buddy on trumbone. Most times than not the prices are very affordable and they play in smaller venues or bars where booze is available which is cool too. If you like Blink 182, New Found Glory or Greenday please give Less Than Jake a try, you will not be dissapointed, I promise.

Show was overall awesome. Flatfoot 56 opened and was really great. Entertained as well as performed. Had a string break in the middle and played it off as nothing. Glad I arrived early. Samiam played after, were late, rushed through their set, didn't set up the sound well and didn't even talk to us really. Not very entertaining. Once all done and said, Less Than Jake was absolutely amazing, good mix of their old and new songs, entertained and audience participation. Was GREAT!
