The Danvilles

This was a fun concert consisting of a number of local rock bands in the Maryland, DC, Northern Virginia area: Niki Barr Band, Black Dog Prowl, We Were Kings, Rome in a Day, and The Danvilles. The music was an excellent mix of various styles and each of these bands played at the top of their game. I never heard of a couple of these bands so it was great way to get introduced. Of course Niki Barr Band just took over the place treating the audience to fast paced experience that had everyone jumping. Niki Barr, the "powerhouse pixie" was at her vocal best with an amazing level of energy on stage!

I don't know any of the bands personally but i checked out Niki Barr at Chili Cook Off '09 and they were fantastic. Their NIN cover of Animal was explosive and although i can't recall half of the night, that's an unforgettable notion. I wish it was as packed as i'd wanted but hell it i felt like an ANIMAL!
