Ignorant had a chick filling in for the Eve Libertine role, and she was really good: she had a lot of lyrics to spit out, and she did it with conviction. The crowd seemed to accept her very well. Ignorant himself did very well of course, and the band was good--they played all the songs you'd want them to play, including my Ignorant favorites like "Do They Owe Us A Living," "So What," and "Big A Little A." The opening band was Goldblade, a Manchester street punk band fronted by a wanna-be rock star. "Do you believe in rock 'n roll?" over and over and over again! The high point was when they did "Oh Bondage, Up Yours" in honor of the recently passed Poly Styrene. The venue is nice. I would've given the show five stars, except the opening band was mediocre at best.

What a show! So much energy and enthusiasm. Its going to be a long time before anyone can top this performance. We'd just returned from being out of the country for 10 days, unpacked & went to the Show. Steve announced that Poly Styrene had died and they played "Oh Bondage" in tribute. I'll never forget this.

Steve ignorant did not disappoint. It was an amazing show to be a part of,because that's what the whole vibe of the night was like. Everyone felt like they were a part of something. It was special for all crass fans old as well as new. I dragged an old dear friend of mine to the show.He had never heard them before, by the end of the night he was so blown away by the energy of the crowd and the power of the music and message, that he turned to me at the end of the night and said thanks for converting me into a crass-tian. I laughed outloud and said your welcome. It was truly an unforgettable show I was not disappointed. They had the whole place singing fervently to practically every song.I just hope I get a chance to see them again. If not I will be satisfied in knowing that I got to witness something unique and historical. Long live the CRASS!!!

I have to say it was kinda cool to hear these songs played live but it was overall pretty disappointing and I should have known better to expect anything more. The female singer they had it was really ruined it for me, way too sing-songy for my tastes!

Absolutely wonderful. The venue was nice, ticket prices were affordable, etc. I honestly hope Steve Ignorant, and Crass can come back to our ailing Red, White, and Blue soil. The energy, respect, fun, and punk rebellion was fun to be had by all that were there. Truly amazing.

The opening line up sucked, I would have expected better bands to play with Steve.

Steve put together a very great band for the last supper event. I went to this with very low expectations, but it turned out to be fantastic. Since most of us will never ever get to see the real band live, this was the closest any of us will get to that. How powerful the performance was! I understand the mantra of Crass and the whole year zero theory, which is why the real band will never pick up their instruments. Originally the band was one big art project with a mantra that 1984 would be year zero for them. They had a belief that, by 1984, they would have had enough time and fans to convince them to start a pacifistic anarchist revolution. Obviously and unfortunately they were never able to achieve that goal. They gave themselves a short span of 8 years to do that. But what they really managed to do was to help plant the seeds for something bigger to come in the future. However, Steve was trying to give a new generation that's fallen in love with the words and sounds of Crass a chance to experience some of the power that the band had. His whole opinion of the event was to have fun and experience what the band was like. Steve has been trying to convey what his experiences with the band was like. He remembers his experience with the band as having a great time. While other founding members like Penny Rimbaud remember it as being serious and having an agenda. While that may be true for the rest of them, the photos of the original band that were being shown on a video screen showed a more personal look at the band. They were all smiling and you could get the sense that they loved what they were doing, their fans and each other. You certainly got a sense that their punk scene was much stronger, tighter and had much more love and desire to do something different. I really think that is the message that Steve Ignorant was trying to get at. Kinda like 'this is how we did it, we were serious but we had fun doing it, now its your turn to do it and hopefully you can do it better'. A sort of passing-of-the-torch to another generation. Anyways, I certainly had a blast and that show has a very special place in my heart. Steve was very thankful to everyone for allowing him to be able to present everyone with a chance for him to do the event. He also said that Penny Rimbaud sends his love.
