Nashville Blues Festival

Totally old school. It took me ten minutes to get an autograph from Denise LaSalle (me standing awkwardly in her face until she finished doing what she was doing). I waited four years to finally see her in concert and meet her and the whole experience was not what I expected. I thought she'd be happy to see fans still coming out. I felt cheated as a fan. Her performance was good, but it was totally unorganized once she got off the stage.

THIS WAS THE BEST THUS FAR THIS YEAR, NEXT TO USHER AND TREY SONGZ, SO NOW I AM WAITING ON SALT AND PEPPER

MY FIRST TIME GOING AND I REALLY LOVED IT AND CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR TO GO AGAIN.

We enjoy it! Being 2 of only 8 "white folks" there, it was a little awkward but we were made to feel welcome. The music was awesome great old fashion blues and R&B, although a little heavier on the R&B and very little classic blues. Needs more balance.

All of the performers were great! I screamed, laughed, & even cried.

I've attended many shows in many cities and I must say this show had the shortest sets of "LIVE" performances I've ever seen!!! This show I believe ended around 10pm.... WHY!!!? Every artist was rushed, most only were allowed to perform 15min and some 30min. The Line-up was great!!! But, I would prefer to have a shorter artist lineup to really allow them to express their talents. Saw the same show with similar line up in Southhaven, MS (Memphis show) and it was much better. At least they performed 30min or greater. Sir Charles Jones was good, but he talked his way through much of the performance. Come on Chuck!!! Peeps are spreading the word... sing brother.... Bobby Blue Bland was the topper though... Real knee deep blues...

Bobby Bland came on last and saved the show. Everyone around us said "now that's the blues!" The others were entertaining, but was expecting more classic blues like Bobby "Blue" Bland. Festival also seems to mean more than a one night show. Was surprized there was no t-shirts or posters with "3rd Annual Nashville Blues Festival." hope next year has more of the classic blues masters!

Every performance from beginning to end was incredible!

Good show could have let the groups play a little longer

It was outstanding. Not a "sell out, but we were not short changed".

The whole festival was excellent. My girlfriend and I enjoyed every moment of the performance and we can not wait until next year so we can go again. This is something that we will be going to every year as long as they continue to come and perform.

I enjoyed the show, all but for Bobby Bland. He really needs to retire or just do guest appearances and sign autographs. He looked sick and as though he didn't feel well, and his handlers looked like they cut the performance short. I hope when they bring a headliner in that the individual is still capable of performing. Bobby Rush did a great show last year. Sheba Potts-Wright and Theodis Ealey are the most under-appreciated performers out there. They put on a great show, high energy, and brought the crowd up. I had never heard of Theodis Ealey until the performance, but I'm a new believer. Mel Waiters did a good show, but he obviously did not feel well and was fighting a cold. Shirley Brown is a hoot! Sir Charles, well, he's Sir Charles. I have no idea the name of the MC, but the guy is really good and makes the show work. This was the second year for my wife and me to attend the show. We're 60 years old and the whitest white people you will ever meet, but we felt comfortable and welcome at the show.

The only thing that could have made it better were longer performances by Sir Charles, Sheba Potts-Wright and Shirley Brown. This was my first all blues concert & I enjoyed every minute of it. Every one did a great JOB!

It is well prepared and exciting stage. We got signatures from two singers at the front foyer. They are very friendly.

I enjoyed the show but I think they need to have fewer preformers so that they can have more time to perform because all of them kept stating they wish they had more time. If you have maybe 3 then they could each have time to really perform, everything seemed so RUSHED.

This was a fantastic event! The atmosphere was for adults only and very fun.

I WOULD FOLLOW THIS CONCERT EVERY CHANCE I GET,EVERYONE SOUNDED SO GREAT JUST LIKE THEY DID WHEN THEY STARTED RECORDING AND THEY ALL LOOKED GREAT. SO SAD THAT WE LOST MARVIN SEASE BUT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD. JOB WELL DONE BETTER THAN FIVE STARS

Enjoyed it highly, My husband and I had a wonderful time and the Manhattens were a great surprise. It was one of those concerts you didn't want to end. I loved each act.

I enjoyed the entire show, what can I say, I'm a blue's fan. Bobby Rush, I just loved him, especially with his rap and Michael Jackson act.. I also enjoyed the dance contest, can't wait till I'm 60, so I can show them how it's done.

I had bought tickets for a concert at Limelight and was very disappointed. The seats were very uncomfortable. The attendents were not accessible. The show started late. No parking attendent. No light inside the box to pay for the parking........Glad to see some of my favorite artist Now, we I went to the Municiple(which I had not been there in yrs) to see the Blues Festival....I was more at ease. No smoke!!!! comfortable seats. Access to the vending! The crowd was able to get up and pump up the artist!!! Gald I was able to see Mel, Shirley, Manhattans, Mr. Jackson Ms.. I really enjoyed myself. Thanks for the good prices

This event was GREAT!!!! The artists were amazing. What real music is all about.

T he manhatten were great would love to see them again

Great show. I went mainly to see Bobby Rush, who was fantastic. Latimore, Shirley Brown, Mel Waiters were great. Not so thrilled by Sir Charles. The Manhattans were good, but not my favorite. It was my first concert at the Municipal Auditorium in 20 years. The venue was super clean, and the acoustics are actually better than the Bridgestone Center.

It was great can't wait to go next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
