Yuck

Yuck crafts deliciously catchy shoegaze that strikes the perfect balance between dream pop and noise rock. Picking up where bands like My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth left off, the group’s guitarists build monumental amounts of sonic texture with swirling kaleidoscopic effects tp create an immersiveand mesmerizing live sound. Yuck occasionally makes forays into noisier territory, but thanks to their sing-song melodies and male/female harmonies every song is a pleasure to experience live. Whether they’re playing giddy rockers like “Georgia” and “Get Away” or folk-inspired ballads like “Suicide Police Man” and “Memorial Fields”, Yuck always treats tic.

I was really impressed with their album and I was dying to see them live. Some bands sound great in their albums and suck onstage (and vice-versa) so I was curious about the gig. All I can say is that Yuck is as marvellous on stage as they sound in their album. The show is full of energy and the band members are very talented - although very young! The show is very short, though - it lasted more or less one hour, but Yuck has only one album so I would not expect a 2 hour show anyway... Overall, I had a great time at the Music Hall and I would definitely recommend the venue and the band to my best friends.

First time seeing Yuck, not a lot of people, chill crowd, Max (guitarist) is hilarious & I took selfies with Mariko (bassist) :) Lotta energy, just overall an amazing show. Also Stranger Things, their new LP, is their best album yet!!!

Yuck was awesome on friday, everyone seemed really into it. The place was packed and the band was definitely on its game with keeping the sold-out crowd pumped up. HOWEVER, one of the opening bands, Caveman, was the band that really stole the show. Beautiful harmonies. Crazy percussion. Intense stage presence. Shimmering, ghostly songs. Haunting. Beautiful! Check em out.
