She was such a doll! Not only is she talented musically but she had me laughing between pieces too. After the show she stayed to talk, sign cds and take pictures. Bronze Peacock Room is perfect for such a nice small intimate show like this.

This should have been a once in a lifetime, up close experience with one of my favorite artists. It was an eclectic venue, though the bar staff was inexperienced and loud, and the nearby parties ruined the ambiance with heavy beats and screaming. I felt bad for Zoe, but she held it together with her typical earthy performance and humor. Her playing was near flawless, and I could tell where the songs had evolved beyond her previous recordings. Wish I had stayed to chat! Well done Zoe and I wish you all the best.

I never in a million years would think one person playing a cello would be jaw dropping, but after watching Zoe Keating play for two hours I was definately wrong. She's probably one of the most talented musicians I have ever seen. Every song including ones I've never heard were done with such feeling and inspiration it was hard not to see the emotion. Any body who is on the fence I suggest go, you'll not regret it. I almost bought tickets for her show the next day but I had to work.

I had been listening to her music for a while prior to seeing this show, so I knew how good her music was. However, seeing her perform it live is a whole other ball of wax. She's simply amazing! I hope that everyone takes an opportunity to see her perform.

I love the uniqueness of Zoe Keating's music. It's raw, beautiful and haunting- all traits I admire and love in music. Watching Zoe perform live is a treat as well as she becomes one with her music. My only complaint about this show was the opening act. He played WAY too long and talked WAY too much. I wish Zoe had played the entire show.

It could be once in a lifetime when you get to see a show with an intimate crowd, perfect sound, great seats, and an artist truly passionate of her artform. Zoe Keating did that and more. As a seasoned concert goer (having attended over 700 in my life) and to still be this excited before the curtain lifted, was saying something. I had see Zoe perform before but was still a 6 year old in a 32 year old body once she started. It was hard to contain my excitement and to remain professional during the show. Her songs brought me a childlike happiness, a playful like demeanor and I wish everyone could experience that in their life. Between songs she would talk, make the crowd laugh, and even improvised when her laptop didnt agree with her. Her favorite song, one by Beethoven, was my personal favorite. The ONLY thing that I could say I didnt like was a person in the crowd who kept yelling for a song she had played earlier in the performance. I sometimes wish people would be better than that. EVERYONE---Go see Zoe Keating Live. It could change your life...

It's a small place, no tables or chairs but there is a banquette that rings two sides of the room in an "L". Standing room only was not what I expected but luckily I was able to lean on the end of the banquette and had a decent view of Army of Broken Toys, opening act, and Zoe. There was a coat check which I appreciated because there was no place to put a coat and with all the bodies in a small space it was too warm to keep it on. Acoustics were perfect. And Zoe could not have been better. Her music is sublime. She's a perfectionist and it shows in her performances. I'd go back to Red Room but I'd make sure I got there early for a real seat next time.

If you are a fan of cello music of any kind you should do whatever you can to catch Zoe Keating. I guess I'd have to call this neo-classical since her roots are certainly classical but her approach is all 21st century using Ableton Live! to capture and layer passages until you are experiencing a full cello orchestra! Unlike a lot of looper/sampler artists Zoe's arrangements are more lik true compositions that are well thought out and not just a layered wall of repetition. The other aspect that is refreshing is that each songs performance is somewhat unique and while recognizable from the CDs there is variation and live creativity going on. Zoe was also very generous with her time talking with fans after the show, it's obvious she was a real inspiration and delifght for many! A shout out to Cello Baby and Dad who attended too!

Show was great. Both Zoe and Army of Toys were excellent. Wish I had known the venue was going to be standing room only - I would have worn more comfortable shoes.
