This event was just not the same...more southern soul than blues. The artist all performed well, i just prefer more down home blues. Most likely my last blues festival.

It was OK. Would have liked to hear more old school Blues than the newer songs. Much of the music was louder than the singing so rally didn't enjoy all that!

all in all the performers were great, but the sound system sucks, most of the performers words were so distorted it was difficult to understand, and poor BB King was the worst, we and several other left before it ended.

I enjoyed the concert and all that it had to offer. The parking wasn't bad; the line moved quickly even getting there at the actual event starting time. Restroom was clean, and seating was good. They didn't have it laid out well enough and long enough for us to find our right seats, but it was still okay. I would probably choose stadium seats next time for a little more elbow room. The drinks were priced okay for the event, a little stronger would have been better, but for the amount of liquid you got, it was still a good deal. Every once in a while the microphone didn't seem to pick up the artist good enough. Overall, I would do it again and I would recommend this event to a friend and go again myself.

Sorry guys, this event failed to impress me. The sound quality was mediocre, the Arena was uncomfortable - chairs were so close to each other it was hard to sit comfortably. My favorite band, the Manhattans did not perform as was advertised and the only reason my family attended! Won't go again...and where was security when individual was selling "reduced priced' tickets right next to ticket booth...wow

This was my first ever concert and I was on the 10th row...and the event left me speechless!!! The entertainers were on point...and the MC was unforgettable!! This event had me telling everyone about it...I can't wait to for the next one!!!

Re-set date was too far off from original day. Tooo many missing singers. Audio or Speakers were not good. Everything was echoing. Shoud have replaced missing singers with some new people. There should always be emergeny singers on standby.

I enjoyed the show, but a few problems with the sound system . There were artist scheduled at the first show that didn't appear on this show and I was a little dissappointed. But overall Will Clayton,Lenny Williams, and Mel Waiters gave me my money's worth. Clyde Taylor needs to get his own music and stop living off his daddy's name!

Very disappointed in Sir Charles Jones's performance. I do not think he completed any of the songs he started and spent about 10 minutes throwing souvenirs into the audience. Taylor complained about the sound system, which was bad and appeared to be unset with it, and after a few songs left the stage. The other performers were great!

All of the singers were great i would like to tell Floyd Taylor that we in the audience didnt make him anger he could have said by before walking of the stage.I like Bobby Bland but its time for him to retire his voice is not strong any more. Overall it was great

The concert was good but it could have been so much better. The time between artist was too long, although there was a comedian, the wait was too long. The names of all artist should have been flashed on the big screen to familiarize people with lesser known artist. Also the artist should have performed more of their well known songs which more people would recognize.

You missed it! T.K .Soul, Sir Charles, Willie Clayton, Mel Waiters and Millie Jackson. They brought the house down. H-Town was the last stop of the tour and they made it unforgettable. Sir Charles and T.K.Soul got down and dirty. No one was sitting. People were dancing in the aisles and they had an over 60 dance contest with 3 women. Wow! The winner was a 67 year old stallion who did the booty roll and a split!! Unbelievable!! I can't wait till next year.

I feel with the amount you pay for tickets.It could have been much better.The music was louder then they singers. It was hot,bathroom smelled of strong urine.The screen where of poor quality.Should have been bigger and closer to they stands.Like in the other stadium. This is one show I would have saved my money.Very disappointed. .

I have gone every time they have came and I love it. Willie Clayton and Sir Charles really made it worth my time again. Willie Clayton has never been on tour with anyone. Yes, I keep up very well. Sir Charles need to come back and do a show by himself, he is great. Love the youngest of the blues singers and he is good.

The 2014 Blues Festival was great. This was my first time attending and it was worth the money. I was disappointed that there were not more people in attendance. We have to spread the word about the H-Town Blues Festival. It is a great event. Next year, I hope I can take all of the Blues lovers I know.

Concert was great but Millie Jackson killed the hype! Her old music is great, but she sang mostly new or remixed songs which is what the crowd was not expecting. She lost us all and everyone cleared the arena.

sir charles didnt sing long enough, and ran out his cd to fast, andtksoul was the show and mel waiters other than that i enjiyed myself . but the people was dancing all in front was blocking evetybody.more singersnext years and longer to sing because for real sir charles didnt sing long and people cone long way to see and hear him just to get up there for short time.

We were thoroughly DISAPPOINTED with the Blues Festival!! First of all $71, almost $72 for a concert where the HEADLINER DOESN'T SHOW UP!!! If you speak to anyone, the main person they went to see was Bobby Blue Bland! He wasn't there!! I really think we deserve a REFUND !! No one has contacted us to offer us anything. I am thoroughly DISAPPOINTED !!! I WANT A REFUND !!!

Although me and my Man enjoyed the concert there were things that could have been better to make it a Great concert. Floyd Taylor sung songs from his father Johnny Taylor but only sung maybe 30 seconds worth on each song. Shirley Brown didnt move around the stage she sat on a stool and did her entire set. Bobby Womach and Bobby Blue Bland did not show up due to health reasons so that was disappointing and the drinks were so expensive and watered down that it should have been a crime.

As always Sir Charles did his thing, I wished we could have had more of T. K Soul, he did a 5 hour concert in Bryan (hometown) that was off the chain. Overall wonderful night except the parking situation, didnt realize another event was going on at the Stadium, that caused some issues, but great night overall.

All of the artists were great and well worth the cost of the event. They were all very friendly and walked around the crowd and took pictures, something totally unheard of at concerts today. Tucka was off the chain when he sang Candyland and took the house down. Nellie Travis looked very nice in red dress and heels and sang with grace, especially Mr. Sexy Man The whole arena wanted to be upfront when all the artists were singing and there were little side shows up people up dancing. TK Soul came out riding a white hover board and was looking good and singing good, especially his Mel Waiter tribute song.

Most of the performances were very good. A couple of the performer's used language and content that I found offensive. I was glad there were very few children present. The seats on the floor were too close together. When about half the audience is wider than the seats it makes for VERY cosy (and uncomfortable) seating.

What an amazing concert. I had missed the blues festival for the last few years and I really regret it. This concert was one of the best ever. Grown folks and grown folks music. Each artist was true to form and there was no extra fluff to make up for poor talent. Can't wait for the next one.

This year's Blues Fest was the best since the original show came to Houston. These guys this year really keep the arena jumping. I don't think I sat in my seat more than five minutes. If the line up is the same, see ya next year!!!!

We enjoyed! Nice selection of artists and venue was nice. Only complaint is that the floor seats were too close. Lady next to me was practically in my lap. Also, everyone was taking pics and recording for long periods of time. The flashes were a distraction. Suggest asking people not to use their flash. Other than that, GREAT! Looking forward to next year!

The Houston Blues Festival Was The BOMB!!! All of the performers showed up and showed out!! There was not a dull moment through out the conert! I loved the fact that is was not a short event. They started pretty close to time, around 8:20pm and the show lasted til' midnight! It was fun time! My Husband & I are willing to go see this comcert again in a surrounding city.

The concert was great once Tucka came on stage and demanded that the music be turned down or his mic to be turned up. All performers before him had an echo sound or was drowned out by the band playing. This was my first time attending a concert in the NRG Arena and I was not that impressed with sound.

The show in all was very good. There were a few stand out performances. For instance, T. K. Soul was my wife's favorite, but Terry Wright, Pokey Bear, Theodis,Tucka, Sir Charles and Mel Waiters was all great also. Although Sir Charles' Band could not make it, his performance was real good. It was a Blues Festival to be remembered.
