Trentemoller brought a band and put on a great show. Lots of energy, got the crowd into it, played hits even better than the recorded version. Good variety of songs - some deep and moody, some old-school R&B feel, some rock, all good.

I ve seen Trentemoller many times over the last 10 years but after seeing him at the Fillmore in San Francisco, CA last night (bought 4 x $35 tickets) I have to say NEVER AGAIN!!! It was absolutely unacceptable that they stopped playing at 10:30 pm!!! What a waste of money!

The band was better than expected. Having been a fan but never seeing them live, they were dynamic. MIkael Simpson is awesome behind the guitar. The venue is very nice and I enjoyed the "Happy Hour"

Trentmøller was absolutely into doing his thing, which makes all the difference for me. I'm sure he had a lot of naysayers when he pitched the idea of pitched the idea of moving from authoring minimal techno tracks to doing a live show, and this was clearly done out of pure enthusiasm for the prospect of such a performance. And everyone he selected to back him up was clearly a fantastic musician (it's not often you observe a theremin player who can actually hold a tune if she wants to). Unfortunately, the show was only an hour long, including the encore. This clearly wasn't a venue restriction, as Trentmøller went off at 11pm and I've been to shows there that went right until 2am. Boston fans, often burned in this way, seemed to be steeling themselves for this based on the pace of the show, and therefore were not as enthusiastic as they would have been based purely on the mind-blowingly awesome quality of the performance.

This concert exceeded my expectations. Anders and all of the band members have an enchanting stage presence. At times the music is a little dark, but they still manage to keep the energy level rising. It was more like a party than a concert as it was a fusion of dance&rock music from a man who used to be a DJ. Anyway, if you do get the chance to experience them, don't miss it.

World class performance. Just brilliant :-) The setup and the musicians were top professionals. Trentemøller himself set the pace and hos loyal companion Mikael Simpson directed the band. In this show Trentemøller proved that he is top of the electronic scene - if not the best :-) Thanks for a unique show

One does not need to know any of his songs to enjoy this live show. Because his roots are as an Electronic Dance Music producer, the songs and song structures are a hybrid of rock with dance floor driving glitches and beats. This translates into NOT your classic rock concert feel, but more of a hybrid between the Rock concert pit and the nightclub limelight. The band ensemble sounds tight as hell and the energy they are able to squeeze out of the crowd is incredible! They all play a combination of very surreal music instruments (such as the Theremin, DJ digital turntables, samplers, Ableton Live and aborigine percussion) with your more typical rock ensemble of electric guitar, drums and bass guitar. More than half the band members are female which gives the band an empowering feeling against the macho-dominated scene of male rock bands, and believe me when I say these ladies can rock out through the virtue of being excellent musicians. Amazing show!!

great show, wish it was longer, but they played many great songs, would've really liked to hear flamingo, sunstroke, maybe some other songs... they dropped vamp for like their third song, and people just exploded everywhere, it was great, from there on in you could just feel the whole crowd was completely engulfed into the show.

Awesome show. Great venue, just the right size for seeing a smaller, more intimate show. Trentemoller was good but could do without the spooky sound effects.

the event started way too early and that made me miss more than half of it. there is no way an artist like trentemoller should go on stage at 9pm and finish its concert before midnight!! security ppl were rude and unfriendly... wasnt happy at all!!

Trentemoller and his crew make a party come alive with music from start to finish. The number of different instruments they use is creatively inspiring and the sexy beat delivers with every song. He is a true genius of his craft and the band members are fantastic. Love his show and recommend it highly!

I've seen Trentemøller three times and each show is better than the last. They are by far the best shows I have seen. The production is slick, the bass is penetrating, and the energy is great. The setlist was perfectly balanced with new and old material; executed flawlessly.

Trentemoller brought the unmistakable energy and his effortlessly cool groove to this show full of fans, so intimate in the way he dropped those inferno beats and haunting melodies. It was a Halloween show, both in the many costumes others wore to the spooky effects Trentemoller laced his performance with, both serving to be playful and adding to the sonic stew.

the sight below played to an empty-ish house, he's always pretty good. xylos was great. the lead singer has some really cute, energetic dance moves on a crowded stage. filled the void left by missing crystal castles show a few weeks back. trentemoller was visually impressive but not stunning. anders was very high energy. the opening was awesome and then they started playing some new stuff which goes in a direction that i was not happy with at all. i left half-way through the set. the new music isn't technically bad but it's just not what i wanted to hear from them.

It was a lot more minimal, heavy and experimental than I had anticipated. In my head it would be more of a dance party and light.

Aside from one title (Shades of Marble), the rest does not seem that impressive. Unfortunately, even that title was changes substantially in this show, which diminished its brilliance.

Seriously, though, this show was amazing.. The stage set up was great, the bandmembers' outfits and visuals were well orchestrated, too. Sound quality was perfect, and Trentemoller played off of the energy of the crowd the entire time.. Everything was orchestrated so well, from the setlist, to the performance itself and the encore that closed it. Awesome show!

I love Trentemoller's music and thought he had a really wonderful stage presentation (and a truly great lighting show to augment it). I was really upset though that the people mixing the concert had the subsonics turned up so much that the entire low end of the music was obscured. I've been a rock and electronica musician all of my life. I have toured and recorded in 17 countries as a professional producer and musician. I'm not a wimp. I love music and I love it loud............the subsonic bass frequencies were ludicrously loud and I have to say it angered me. I keep waiting for someone to sue the Fillmore Auditorium for damaging people's ears. What people don't know is that very loud subsonics weaken the roots of the cilia (tiny hairs) that are responsible for us being able to hear the frequenciies of intelligibiity in human speech. The damage to these cilia is completely painless and it takes up to 10 years to fall out............whamo..........you need a hearing aid and your are 45 years old. Everywhere I looked, patrons were not wearing ear plugs. I'm sure that, as sophisticated a producer that Trentemoller is, that he would have been horrified by the mix. I left half way through the concert, determined not to see another show at the Fillmore. I've been going since my 16th birthday in 1969. I felt so sad leaving that beautiful iconic building. I've seen so many shows there but the last half dozen have all suffered from the same atrocious mixing philosophy.

Can't say anything about the band's performance that hasn't been written online already beyond that every show I've seen has been differently produced, yet the energy and great musicianship selected by Trentemøller stays consistent and a must see group of performances.

Extremely awesome show, they were solid and incredible. The only negative was that it took a while for them to build up during the show, the first part was mellow but great, the end was pumping and i wish we had more of that sooner.

First of all I have to say I am a big fan of Trentemollers music so I went to the show expecting nothing but perfection i thought I am going to have some mind blowing spiritual experience but... the music was amazing but visuals no no...I checked Trentemollers other shows in different countries and they look amazing but I guess they didn't take LA's audience very seriously there were actually no visuals just big projectors with extremely bright and annoying lights toward people like they were trying to make us confess that kind of INTERROGATORS light directed to our eyes and I had to turn my look away and i didn't want to but it was really annoying and if I can't look at the stage why am I even there and you should have seen peoples faces are you serious??? was that on purpose? couldn't you create some texture some layering make more comfortable atmosphere with lights instead of that straight bright lights??? but anyway LAs audience don't have that critical way of thinking as long as you're famous and you have high end profile no matter what you do they'll just say wow wow it was amazing...

I'm a fan of electronic dance music and believe that it sounds best when the music is created by 1 or 2 people using computers (not 5 people using instruments). This is not to say I don't appreciate and enjoy some live music, just not on an evening when I'm expecting to be blown away by 'live' techno. The long and the short of it is: It was not what I hoped or expected it would be, and I was therefore disappointed.

I didn't know what to expect since this is the first time I've watched him perform. I was pleasantly surprised. Trentemoller was on stage the entire time. Although the vocals were good I would have preferred more of his non-vocal selections and dance selections.

The show was very heavy and uninspiring. At times it felt just plain creepy. I guess if heavy dark electronic is your thing that it was decent. Several of my friends left early and I quickly followed to a more uplifting scene. The staff at the TLA were miserable from the front door to the bar to the way out. I felt like I was going to visit a prisoner rather than see a fun show. I know they have a job to do but they can have a smile on their face while doing it. Drinks were obscenely priced. The only shining moment was our cocktail waitress Nadine, who actually smiled and made the experience much lighter then it otherwise would have been.
