Two great bands. Was really looking forward to the show and a chance to see these rock icons perform, however, I was aware this was an outdoor concert but in light of the days weather, certainly they could have turned it around for the show to be indoors! Not only the crowd got soaked (making us leave early), but why risk these great musicians health (and the fans) in a rain downpour. Shame on the venue! What I was able to see was fantastic.

Gregg Allman and Steve Miller are two of my son's favorites. He is Developmentally Handicapped and we have been to about 40 concerts. Both performances were memorable. Song choices were from the old to the new. Gregg Allman choices for his back up band could not have been any better and Steve Miller's band was unbelievable as always.

When I first bought these tickets, I assumed Gregg Allman would be the headliner, but realized otherwise closer to the show, I guess the Steve Miller Band has too many hits and Greg wasn't with the "Brothers". Gregg and his band put on a great show, playing reworked Allman Brothers tunes and solo tunes. The songs from his new album were great (as is the album). The only complaint is he didn't play long enough. I was pleasantly surprised by the Steve Miller Band and thought they sounded great. Steve's voice was better than I ever thought it could be now. I was also surprised by the amount of "classic" hits he did. I was really happy he did "Wild Mountain Honey". I was really disappointed with the crowd's reaction to a nice comment Steve made about the recent tornados. It seemed to me the crowd should have come to it's feet in applause at this, but there was only an anemic response. That's Cary for you. Great show from 2 legends.

Steve Miller has still got if after all these years! But, Gregg Allman left alot to be desired. Could be because I was never an Allman fan, but Steve came on and made the ticket price worth it!

First time seeing Steve Miler-GREAT SHOW. Well rehearsed and well executed. Great song list all very well played. Sound was superb. Venue was small enough to have great view from all over. Gregg Allman was in good form and had a very good band backing him. Did a very nice version of Melissa. Best show I've seen in a while!

Mostly Steve playing long drawn out guitar solos with his sideman backing vocalist handling the majority of lead vocals performing newer material and obscure songs from the past. It was almost like the sideman was the star and Miller was just the guitarist. I came to hear the hits, the classics and this show did not deliver. I left before the encore because it was close to midnight on a Tuesday and I was tired of waiting for a song I actually came to hear. I understand that he did play a few popular songs at the end well after midnight. Thanks to Gregg Allman for opening the show and actually playing his hit songs.

Both sets were excellent, I liked every single song. Excellent performance, it's amazing that Allman and Miller can still perform so well in their sixties -- especially Miller, he's playing and singing at the top of his game. Do not miss this concert, you may never get to hear them live or this good again! Great music. Great concert. If it were in town again tonight I'd go again. Also, the sound levels were perfect, it had impact but didn't hurt the ears. These guys have been doing concerts for so many decades, they know how to get the show right.

What a great surprise it was to finally see The Steve Miller Band. All of their numbers were tens. In addition to Steve's masterful guitar playing, the drummer and keyboard man were top shelf as well. We had a great time, rocking out and remembering.

Steve Miller was outstanding. His show alone was worth the price of admission. He gave a great performance. Allman, on the other hand, was disappointing at best- we actually almost left. Forgot the words to songs, was impossible to understand when he sang, played the wrong intro to one song, and left the stage inexplicably at one point for ten minutes. Looks like the hard life has taken its toll.

I HAVE SEEN STEVE MILLER AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN THE AREA. FROM A LARGE OPEN AIR VENUE LIKE DTE TO THE SMALL COZY MICHIGAN THEATRE TO SAVAGE HALL AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO OR THE TOLEDO ZOO. STEVE NEVER DISAPPOINTS. HE HAS SO MANY SONGS THAT THE HITS KEEPS FLOWING ONE AFTER ANOTHER. ADD GREG ALLMAN AND WHAT A SHOW. I WILL DEFINETLY BE THERE

Wasn't real crazy about the venue. It was outdoors with no 'roof' and no seats! 7 hours standing on concrete in the middle of a thunderstorm didn't thrill me. The show itself was wonderful. Gregg was dead on in spite of the rain blowing onto the stage and, even though Steve had a terrible head cold, he still managed to put on a helluva show. If you get a chance to see these two acts DO IT!

What a great opportunity to see some Super Artists at the Huntington Center- First Greg Allman had his band out just doing some good southern rock and blues. Loved his back-up especially the sax player. Just got down and played all ages. Then Steve Miller & his band lit up the arena and played alot of his new and old standards. We had just bought Tuesday's new release "Let Your Hair Down" and they played a song from it- which I could tell most of the crowd was intent on hearing because people just got real quiet. Steve Miller is a classy guy. He had a sore throat and after seeking emergency treatment he still sang and played. What a trouper! Thanks and come back through again!

Two great artists and many classic hits. Greg Allman just didn't seem to show much excitement- like it was more of a job and not a passion. Steve Miller made up for that as he still can sing great and wail on the guitar.

I was anxiously anticipating this show...and unlike many others, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! In fact, it exceeded my expectations! Gregg Allman is a consummate musician, to this day. A wonderful mix of his newer stuff along with some classics from the Allman Brothers' days. The backup band jammed and they were solid. Steve Miller actually started the day off feeling like hell... flu-like symptoms and just not doing well (he said he was questioning if he would be performing that night). But... a visit to the hospital and a better life through modern chemistry approach to the problem, and... WHAT A SHOW!! A nice mix of new stuff and his classics and a kick-a$$ backup band made for a nice set. The Huntington Center venue is the perfect size for a concert. I will be there again and again!

Set was great and the music was live music at it's best. Jet Airliner, Abradabracadara, and the Joker were all sang by the entire audience. New songs are done with the blues under tones that we all know with this great band. Looking forward to buying the new CD

I only knew a couple of the Gregg Allman songs, but his band did a great job. I'm just not a huge fan of his like I am the Steve Miller Band. SMB ROCKED!!! I love their shows, and how they still rock and enjoy themselves after all these years! The band member Sonny is so fun to watch as he "gets down" with his dancing.....he gets everyone excited and in the mood to rock!! I can't wait to see them again:)

Gregg Allman was fantastic. I know he just came back from transplant surgery, but man his voice is still amazing! "Melissa" was the same as if he were 30 years old. He was fantastic. Only saw half a dozen songs by Steve Miller Band as it was an outdoor event and there was lightening and very heavy rain. What we saw and heard was great. Note about the concert venue: The crowd was so tight that I was literally sandwiched between my boyfriend and a man I did not know.

Actually, when we first got there it was a torrential downpour, road crew was mopping and squeeging the stage non stop. After the rain died down, Greg Allman took the stage and rocked it. He has sang a few songs off his new CD and it was cool. There was this girl, a goddess, next to me that loved it and she was dancing like crazy with me......and I never met her before in my life! Mind you, I am totally drenched and Gregg was still rockin'!!! After he left the stage, there was a half hour or so intermission and Steve Miller totally slammed it once again!!! Of course he did the famous Abracadabra song and the crowd went nuts. Plus the Joker was an encore bonus.....This was a stellar and amazing show!!!!!

I was looking forward to seeing Greg Allman. I was a big Allman brothers fan and was hoping there would still be a spark there. Greg was only a cover of himself. He had to read the lyrics and chords from a music stand and only strummed a few chords. HIs voice was barely audible. The band was pretty good , they had a great guitarist that made the show bearable. Steve Miller was a treat. I love the new CD Bingo and he played 4 songs from that cd. The rest was a mix from his Space Cowboy days. He did not play "Living in the USA" or anything from his early "Children of the Future" albums, but he got all the hits. He played the "Joker" for the encore and the crowd loved it. The huntington was set up with a mid-court stage , so the sound was great.

Gregg Allman's band was amazing!! Great sound! Gregg's voice was Strong & Soulful. Blessed us with some Allman Bros. material, but not alot. Played a Great set. Steve Miller Band was Fantastic!! Part way through the show, Steve informed us that he had awoken that morning with a cold & a weak voice. He went to University of Toledo Medical Center where the staff "doctored him up" beautifully. Overall, he sounded Great. His band was TIGHT. His song list was very enjoyable & listenable. & he kept on "Rockin' us" .... for a nice, long time.

I tell you ... I'm so glad to have grown up with these old time rock and rollers. Greg opened in an unbelievable fashion and just kept it coming for the whole time he was on stage. Vocals were great. This guys still has it going. So glad to see him putting the music out again. The roof about came off when Steve Miller started playing. Cranking it like it was 30 years ago even with a bad cold. I have to say that several of the songs were almost unrecognizable because of the music change which did not please a lot of people but I think some of that was due to the cold he had. Non the less... They can still crank it and kept the place moving.

I went to this concert specifically to see Gregg Allman. He seemed a bit tired, but it was still a great show. His voice always knocks me out. The Steve Miller Band was outstanding. I had forgotten how good he is. I am downloading the new cd, Bingo, and can't wait to see them again. Considering that Steve said he was sick with a cold or something I'd rate his performance an A+.....Of course like many classic rockers that have so much great material to perform he did leave you wanting to hear more songs. Fabulous show! This is the fist time I've seen either band in concert - Gregg's voice is fabulous and unforgettable! The show started on time and the turn-around between acts was only 15 minutes. Steve Miller jammed the house and the blues singer he has now rocks! Steve Miller played a full 2 hours, but I felt that drug on a bit and just provided him time to get some of his old covers in.

It was sooooo rainy and cold. But, I was set to see Greg Allman, because I love Greg Allman's music and the Allman Brothers' music. What surprised me is the Steve Miller Band turned out the crowd! The crowd was totally into them. Loved that Greg started out with "I'm No Angel." No disrespect intended, but Greg Allman seems to be going through the motions of playing and didn't seem to be into it at all. I don't know if it was the weather or the cold, but I just didn't feel like he was connecting with the crowd. He forgot some words of his songs--that didn't really bother me. He did mix up the arrangement of the songs, and I appreciated that. Steve Miller, on the other hand, apologized for his cold, and proceeded to totally engage the crowd and rock out--despite the weather! The band was very playful, and I enjoyed watching one of the band members dancing--although I recognized the moves from the 80s. Steve lamented the loss of his former band member 18 months ago. But then, the band poured their hearts and souls into the music. Surprisingly, the band played some Zydeco-like music that totally fit with the vibe of the crowd.

For $120 per ticket you would THINK they would play the hits the audience came to see. Steve Miller only played 3 of his hits - THREE!!! The audience was up jamming and dancing and then he would waste our time with his new material and the audience sat down and stared. It was horrible! EVERYONE was complaining. Leaving the Tower that's all people talked about - it was AWFUL. Greg Allman played 2 of his hits - it was a sad affair.

The main problem with this concert was if you were a fan of Steve Miller you were disappointed because he did not start his set until 9:55PM! He rushed through his set which was completed 90 minutes latter. I have seen Steve Miller before when he does over 2 hours of music which I enjoyed. The concert should have started earlier than 8PM and this would have made a much better fan experience. During the concert Steve Miller performed "Wild Mountain Honey" and stopped it in the middle of the song and started yelling at a fan for taking pictures of him during the song which was a memorial to bandmate Buffalo Norton. He than started the song again. For a good 15 minutes of Steve Miller's set, he did not sing, and had Sonny Charles, another member of his band sing which was kind of boring. Also, Greg Allman, the opening act, aplogized to the audience that he had to cut his set short, although it was an 80 minute set. The problem with this concert was that most people only came for Steve Miller or Greg Allman, not to see both of these performers. Our seats were at $125 each and not worth the money.

The Gregg Allman set was great. He put together an excellent set of musicians. Unfortunately I can't say the same for The Steve Miller Band. The vocalist was very corny & over enthusiastic. It was like seeing a show on a cruise ship. Steve Miller probably would have been better solo. The other problem was people talking during the entire show, trying to talk over the music. Not sure why anyone would bother to see a show only to talk as loud as possible. The Allman set made this show worth it. I left half way through Steve Miller Band.

This was my first time to see Steve Miller. I've Greg Allman for many years in different bands. These guys are top notch performers. The performances were great but due to the smallest sound system I've ever seen at the Tower - It hurt the overall quality of the sound. I sat in the lodge/balcony. I've sat there for many shows - I know the sound could have been much much better. I think Steve Miller leaned a little bit too much on the blues. I know he digs the blues and it was the basis of his earliest music. I have been listening to Steve's music since he put Sailor out. His classics were great.

Both legends (and their bands) were on their game. The set list for both shows were very interesting. You could sense the passion for the music that started it all for them. The blues, the soul, that organ and that guitar! Wow! Gregg Allman's horn section just added so much to the songs. Sonny Charles is the perfect addition to the Steve Miller Band - a great singer and entertainer. Of course, Steve Guitar Miller showed once again that he is one of the best guitarists in the world. I've seen him no less than a dozen times. Hopefully, I'll see him another dozen.

Great night of music from a couple old school rock guys...Greg Allman and Steve Miller!! The best part of this night was that I took my 13 year old son Matt to his first concert. I've spent most of my kids lives attempting to "brainwash" them on their musical tastes ...kinda ...... and Steve Miller has become a favorite of my son. He was the one to let me know that he was coming to Philly in April so I grabbed some tickets. Very glad I did!! My son knew every single song Steve Miller did ...even the new stuff and had a phenomenal time. He made school the next day a little bleary eyed but the experience the two of us had was well worth it. Great old venue too to see that show ...Loved It!!

Cold and rain didn't dampen the trip down memory lane. It seemed that Steve Miller was all the more determined to make it worthwhile, even though he was fighting a cold of his own. The show was better than I had expected! I'd stand in the rain again if I had to!

Definitely a fun concert. Was a little disappointed that Gregg Allman only played for an hour and did not come back out for a reprise. Gregg's keyboard player was awesome! Steve Miller put on a quality show. It was a lot of fun and was glad to be there for a rockin' evening. It was my first concert at the Huntington Center..........Still picked up on the aroma of the old Sports Arena.

I will have to say that I was very pleased with the show and I was close to the stage and got to see it all. The only thing that would have made the evening a greater success would of been to not have the rain but, even with the rain the show was fabulous. I loved it!!!!!!!!

Gregg Allman was solid, but nothing to get you off your seat. He played a lot of new stuff and only a couple of Allman Bros. songs. The best song was "Melissa". Steve Miller was a ROCK'N. It's amazing how many great tunes he has. His band was excellent led by the great showman Sonny Charles. He set the pace for the show by belting out a few blues/R&B songs including Ooh Poo Pah Doo. Very funny. Steve did a nice tribute to Norton Buffalo on Wild Mountain Honey. He also busted out an excellent version of Fly Like an Eagle. Miller was rock'n from beginning until the end.

I actually surprised my mom who has seen a lot of concerts in her life but had never been able to see Steve Miller Band. She was thrilled when Gregg Allman announced that they were setting up next! Gregg Allman was great with some new tunes mixed in with old. Steve Miller also had a great set with some bluesy tunes sang by his back-up singer. Overall a great concert especially at this outdoor venue on a beautiful NC evening! I would highly recommend!

Boring! I grew up listing to Steve Miller Band, the few songs he performed that I knew he modified with extended instrumentals and guitar antics. This concert was a complete waste of my time and money.

Gregg Allman kept it bluesy and started the show with a few tunes everyone knew. Steve Miller came on stage and got the crowd rocking with "Jet Airliner" followed by "Take the Money and Run". He played a few from his new CD Let Your Hair Down, then returned to the classics.."Abracadabra", "Serenade", "The Joker" and even took requests at the end for what people in the crowd wanted to hear.

Both of these seasoned performers did an excellent job, playing both old standards and new material with enthusiasm and energy. The venue (Koka Booth Amphitheatre) added to the enjoyment by providing a very intimate atmosphere.

Greg Allman came on before Steve Miller Band and most of the people in the reserved seating area sat through most of it. His music was fine but a bit draggy. Steve Miller Band came onstage like gangbusters! Started out with Jet Airliner so, okay, pretty cool. Played one more hit then went on to more obscure songs through most of the show. Steve Miller is a phenominal guitarist and proved it by stretching most of the songs with solos that we could have done without. Closed out the 90 minutes with Jungle Love. Cool! Came back onstage with two more top ten hits and that was it.

Gregg Allman played for an extremely short amount of time - even though some of my friends came just to see him - and they were never on stage at the same time. It was a 4/20 concert, but nobody would have known since police were breathing down everyone's neck at the venue. Neither the audience nor Steve Miller Band seemed truly happy to be there, and they basically had to ask everyone to cheer for an encore. This wasn't the worst concert I had been to, but it was severely short of my prior expectations. We saw so much potential in this concert,v It was a let down.

Went to see the SMB (my favorite since I was a kid), Gregg Allman opened up and I was really surprised! He made me love him! I absolutely loved his set. Turn around time was decent, and then SMB took the stage. NOT IMPRESSED. He rushed through every song, and the other singer sang most of them anyway. Can not express how much I liked the venue though. What a great place to see a show! I am really excited to go back and see other stuff there.

Gregg Allman, post liver transplant, sounds as good as he did when he was twenty. I was happy and amazed. His band (session musicians? not his Allman band i don't thing) was tight and the jams were excellent. Gregg performed on piano, Hammond organ, electric guitar and acoustic. I would've liked for him to play longer but he had to vacate the stage for Steve Miller Band. Steve and HIS band were just as tight and played a good variety of his 'hits'. Steve's lost a few notes on the high end of his range but has great help on vocals from his band mates. I enjoyed both bands immensely and would love to hear this show again.

Greg Allman and band were stellar. Played a wide variety of tunes from all phases of career, including the early Allman's "Dreams". Steve Miller Band was also great. Especially Steve's guitar playing. But, the crowd, obviously there to be seen, stood up so much and talked to each other incessantly, raising their speaking voices so they could be heard (at least by us) over the music. Why do people go to concerts if they are not interested in the music? In any case, this was not the fault of the bands. Had the crowd been respectful of the bands and the others in the audience who really wanted to see and hear the music instead of poorly coordinated audience "dancers" and loud talkers, I would have given 5 stars. Oh, and also, every 30 seconds someone what taking a picture or video with their cellphones. I understand the desire to do this. But. come on, one person in front of us I swear must have filled up their memory. It was all they did for the entire show.
