COAST MODERN IN CONCERT:SoCal chill wave outfit Coast Modern pairs lo-fi beats with laid-back vocals to deliver a vibed-out take on Golden State pop traditions. The duo has only released a handful of singles, but they're already touring the country on the strength of instant classics like "Guru" and "Hollow." In concert Luke Atlas and Colemann Trapp keep things simple, performing with an acoustic guitar and a sampler while they tag-team vocal duties. Their setup is minimal but the impact is huge as they conjure up an intoxicating blend of hip hop and reggae-influenced jams for dancing fans.
