The show was truly beautiful & as expected his voice was amazing. Alfie seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the audience was.

I have seen Alfie in Les Miserables in London and in concerts from San Francisco to Boston. There is never, ever a letdown. This performer gives everything he has, and more. How can so powerful a voice be the same, from beginning to end of a 2 1/2 hour show? How can a performer who leaves the stage dripping wet from expending so much energy never, ever stop smiling and drawing in the audience? Hs humor, his joy, his love of the audience is infectious. And, as if there can be a cherry on top, Alfie Boe is a once-in-a-blue-moon singer. His tenor-baritone range covers not only the length and breadth of each song, but his interpretation is spine-tingling. There is tenderness in his strength and tenderness in his strength. Do yourself a favor: take every opportunity to see Alfie; there's none other quite like this sensational young man.

I was "introduced" to Alfie by PBS when they showed Les Mis 25 in March of 2011. I have been "BOE-D" ever since. The first time I met him was in Chicago when he was recording the PBS show at WTTW for the PBS broadcast of his ALFIE LIVE performance from Royal Festival Hall. What a gentleman, and an incredible (incrediBOE) talent! He sang "Rank Strangers" that day in the studio and I had goosebumps all over my body!! That was a night I will NEVER forget! I saw him in concert for the first time in Kansas City in May . . . and I was totally RE-BOE'D!! His concert was incredible - full of energy, full of fun, and with that voice, Alfie produced the most beautiful (BOE-tiful) noise I've EVER HEARD! It was truly a privilege to be in that audience and see him perform. He has a quick wit, and is truly a humble man - no idea he is as talented and loved as he is. We in Kansas City were the first to hear Alfie perform with his "rock band" and it was fabulous (faBOElous)!! In Les Mis, Alfie played Jean Valjean - he sang the music that makes this a fantastic musical, and he was by far the BEST Jean Valjean I've ever heard. When he is on stage, doing his very own concert, he can sing anything, and he does it very, very well indeed! I am very excited and anxious to see him again in Chicago (two concerts) and St. Louis next month. If I had the money, I'd follow him all over the country. I'd follow him all over the world, if I could. He and his lovely voice have touched my heart and my soul. He's given me the music back, and I've told him that (I got a kiss on the cheek for that one). Yes, he is an entertainer . . . not an opera singer, not a rock singer, not a musical theatre singer. You can't put this man in a box. He is an all-round talent. I am very grateful that he shares his God-given gift with all of us.

Make no mistake, Alfie Boe is a fantastic singer and musical theatre performer, but his Oct. 2 Dallas concert had way too many rough edges and was not what most of the audience came to see. I believe 80% of the audience was over 55 (or maybe 60) years old and had probably seen the excellent PBS concert telecast featuring Mr. Boe. Instead of show tunes and American songbook type material with excellent orchestrations and overall presentation, we got rock \u2018n roll and bizarre musical arrangements with a five-piece combo. You could tell Mr. Boe was a bit shaken after only mediocre applause for his first three numbers. He then did what everyone expected with Bring him Home from Les Miz and he received a standing ovation. In spite of this, he didn t bother to change the set list for the second half. The lighting package and lighting designer must have been left somewhere else, as the lighting was awful. It took sound people the first three numbers to dial it in. It was also a turn off to the audience for Mr. Boe turn his back to them after every song and walk upstage to get a drink and review the set list. If the drinks and set list were next to his monitor speakers he wouldn t have had to do that. The audience and stage crew were dressed far better than Mr. Boe and the band, who looked like they had just straggled off the bus (maybe they did, since the show started 11 minutes late). It all came off like a bad dress rehearsal and not a polished production, certainly not worth the 400 mile round trip to see.

Show was amazing! Alfie has a tremendous vocal range and quality (trained operatic voice shows). The mix of musical styles is well done. He interacts well with band and audience. He went out into audience several times, requiring a jump from the stage each time. Nice to be younger! All ages in audience seemed to really enjoy the show and sang along with Alfie, even when he put the mike right in front of them! Great song selections. Would be nice to have one or two English folk songs to reflect his background a little more.

Six months ago my husband and I got to hear Mr. Boe as an OPENING act for Olivia Newton-John at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. We did not know that there would be an opening act--nor did we know that this act would be Mr. Boe. Were we ever VERY pleasantly surprised! The minute we saw Mr. Boe we recognized him as the singer who had portrayed Jean val Jean in the LES MIZ 25th anniversary performance. From that moment on we were as mesmerized as the rest of the people in the audience. Mr. Boe's coming to Dallas was a dream-come-true for me--and his performance was just marvelous. From opera arias to CW tunes to show tunes to fan favorites--and even to "audience participation" numbers, my husband and I had a wonderful time! My favorite tunes were the opera and show numbers. I am not a CW fan--but the people around me CERTAINLY were. Mr. Boe tailored his show to all music fans in this Dallas audience. I would recommend this show to everyone--Mr. Boe is THAT GOOD! We really hope that we get to see him again in concert some day.

I knew very little about Alfie Boe before going to the concert and I am now a dedicated fan. I have never heard a singer before who has such a broad range of musical genres - Opera, Musicals, Ballads, Rock and even Elvis!! all of it done wonderfully.

Alfie Boe may be the most talented tenor that I have ever heard. His opera background and training have made his voice rival that of the best singers. What makes this concert unique, however, is that Alfie refuses to confine himself to classical music. Instead, he has found music that he loves in what seems like odd places like Robert Plant, Bonnie Raite, and Elvis. His musical taste is incredibly eclectic. Because of the musical training and quality of voice, he can pull off any musical style and bring a precision that most "pop" singers can never achieve. I saw this concert when he was traveling with a 5 piece band, but he also does shows with a full orchestra. Any of his concerts would be worth attending and I would go again to see him with the orchestra just to enjoy the difference.

England's favorite tenor is quickly becoming America's fav as well. The Dallas audience was politely subdued (although appreciative) until Boe sang what has become his signature tune "Bring Him Home" from Les Mis. As the last notes and Boe's amazing voice filled the Majestic Theater, the audience exploded! And the ovation went on & on, amazing Boe who had earlier joked if anyone was out there. From that point on, the audience was captivated...and rightly so. Boe sang a mixture of show tunes, operatic arias, folk songs, and rock standards, each one showcasing his powerful voice. His unassuming, self-deprecating banter with the band and the audience between songs is charming and endearing. Fantastic 1st show on the tour!!

I had the amazing opportunity to take my family to see Alfie Boe in his Bring Him Home tour when he came to Idaho. We had just seen him in the PBS broadcast of the Les Miz 25th Anniversary Concert and was moved to tears by his performance. A few days later, our paper advertised that he was coming to perform to our area the very next week. He had a warm and fun personality and every song just blew us away. I especially loved his more operatic numbers, even my 11 year old twins recognized the songs. Almost anyone can sing pop or show tunes, but not everyone can sing the intricate operatic songs. Alfie could sing the phone book and I could be transported to my happy place! Everyone needs the opportunity to see Alfie in concert!

I saw Alfie Boe twice in Les Mis in London. The next time I saw Alfie was in a club in New York City. He certainly did NOT disappoint in London or in New York. And both in London and in New York, Alfie received standing ovations for dramatically different performances. Alfie Boe has a wonderful tenor voice it really cannot be described. It has to be experienced. At the New York City club, Alfie sang Bring Him Home which I think everyone now expects and a few other Broadway type tunes. But the real highlights of his performance were the ballads and what I would call classic rock that he sang: Angel from Montgomery, Song to the Siren, Rank Strangers and O Sole Mio going into Its Now or Never. At that point he had the audience up and dancing. One woman even shouted He s better than Elvis. One of the words that I have heard over and over in describing his concerts is eclectic . And I think that is what you have to expect when you go to one of his concerts a very eclectic mix of songs but all performed beautifully and with deep emotion by a tenor with perfect pitch according to the music critic sitting next to me at the club in New York. Going back to what I wrote earlier, Alfie Boe has to be experienced. He cannot be described. And if you are open to all musical genres you will have a wonderful experience.

I had the opportunity to see Mr. Boe perform in his first US solo concert in Kansas City earlier this year.....then flew to NYC to see him again the next evening. Mr. Boe's performances were everything I had hoped for. He doesn't just "perform". He draws the audience into his world, has you visit for awhile, then sends you home with a song in your heart. The voice is impeccable, but the personality of Mr. Boe is what helps make his concerts so enjoyable. He LOVES what he is doing and that love is contagious. I smiled from the opening note to the encore. And, there's something for every musical taste. Musical theater, rock, folk, just good music. I recommend to anyone, given the chance, don't miss this artist. I am certain once you see him perform, you will return again and again.

I'm not sure which reviews "Altus" is referring to, since all the print reviews I've seen of Boe's concerts have been glowing, and the public reviews overwhelmingly positive. An extraordinary voice, a true gift for interpretation, a deep love for all genres of music, and so easy with an audience the distance to the stage disappears. This is a singer with both real talent and a very big heart. Go to every show you possibly can, and if not, watch the clips. Simply stunning.

Alfie Boe's concert was phenomenal. The man knows how to entertain and his concerts have the atmosphere of a big party with all his closest friends. Few entertainers can change from favorite Neopolatian and musical theatre songs to Elvis, Eagle's & Stones' covers so effortlessly drawing the audience in further with each song. Mr. Boe loves to connect with his audience so don't be surprised if he jumps off stage and does a walkabout singing perfectly every step of the way. Between sets Alfie loves to banter with his band and audience and is very charming and charismatic. Lots of energy and of course his musical perfection is superb. Let's face it, Alfie Boe has one of the best lyrical tenor voices in the world and this always shines through no matter the genre he sings. Plan on being on your feet and dancing the night away to Alfie Boe's amazing performance. Don't walk, no, RUN to get your tickets ASAP!!

I was fortunate enough to hear Alfie Boe sing at the benefit concert he did at the Kaufmann Center in Kansas City on May 6. He covered the gamut, from classical to musical theater to country, contemporary folk, blues and classic rock. His voice, range and technique are phenomenal --- he is classically trained and it shows --- and his stage presence and ability to connect with the music and with the audience are mesmerizing. There were between 100 and 200 fans who came in from all over the USA and Canada for that show, but the majority of the audience was local and many of them were not well acquainted with Alfie BEFORE the concert. The venue seats about 1200 and was full and by the end of the evening he received a prolonged standing ovation from the crowd. This is a man who is serious when he says he believes there is good music worth singing in every genre. If there was ever a performer who can thrill an audience with his rendition of ""Je crois entendre encore""from Bizet''s The Pearl Fishers AND "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables AND the Rolling Stones' "Shine A Light" ALL in the same evening and leave them begging for more, it is Alfie Boe! Don't take my word --- go and hear him for yourself!

This was the first concert in the summer tour where Alfie Boe performed with a five-piece band rather than a full orchestra, and came on the back of a trans-atlantic flight so it was not quite the polished article but still a great evening out - worth every penny and the long drive home! (subsequent concerts definitely get a 5-start rating from me). If you go with a pre-conceived idea you will get an evening of opera and musical theatre you may well be disappointed; but if you go prepared for an evening of high energy, passion and fun from a genuinely lovely man with a wonderful voice then you will have a fantastic time. Alfie Boe loves nothing more than to entertain and sing good songs from any genre of music - he has an infectious sense of humour so be prepared for a few unscripted moments! On this night, and over the other summer concerts, we were treated to a whole gamut of songs from Neopolitan medleys; folk songs; Eagles: Elvis; Queen; and the Rolling Stones (to mention a few) through to his signature song Bring Him Home. Overall a fantastic evening guaranteeing I will go to as many Alfie Boe concerts as I can because I am sure to go home with a happy heart.

I have been to most of Alfie Boe's summer concerts, and each has been an experience to remember. To be fair this is not Alfie Boe 'the opera singer' more this is Alfie Boe the entertainer. He has a lovely rapport and interaction with his audience. His repertoire covers all genres, from classical to rock, and includes musical theatre and occasionally opera. This man is a cheeky chappie with a stunning voice, and can move his audience to laughter and tears in equal measure. Go see him if you can!!

I first discovered Alfie Boe's tremendous tenor voice in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables, which was performed at the O2 arena in London and broadcast in the U.S. on PBS. His classically trained voice brought a new richness and power to the role of Jean Valjean that was evident from the first notes and powerful conclusion of the opening soliloquy through the final death scene and stirring encores. The nuanced acting and pitch-perfect vocals of that performance led me to find more of this artist's work. My research confirmed what I could hear in that concert: Mr. Boe is a fully-trained operatic tenor with a range and delivery and stage presence who can hold his own with the greatest performers of all time. I consider it the opportunity of a lifetime to have heard him perform live at the wonderful Kauffman Performing Arts Center in Kansas City, MO this spring. There he exceeded my expectations as he used those powerful vocals, his unique ability to interpret a song in his own way, and a natural manner of connecting with his audiences with warmth, charisma and humor. I had to fly over 1500 miles to attend that concert, his first major solo performance in the United States. I am driving over 900 miles to attend another concert during his more expansive October U.S. tour. He is one of the very few artists in the world who can legitimately sing an operatic aria, a tender anthem from the world of musical theatre, American folk songs, or a new interpretation of rock classics and hold the audience spellbound with each one. If you live within 500 miles of any one of the venues for Mr. Boe's October tour, FIND A WAY TO GO and enjoy the musical memory of a lifetime. His staggering talent reaches across traditional musical genres, straight to what music has always been designed to do: speak to the heart. No one does it like he can.

Alfie Boe is a gifted singer who firmly believes there should be no distinction between different genres of music. His May 6 concert in Kansas City -- his first major concert in the U.S. -- was evidence of that belief as he entertained us with songs from musical theatre, rock, and Neapolitan. He had the audience in the palm of his hand from the first notes of "Song to the Siren" sung off stage, to his stunning rendition of "Rank Strangers" and beyond. His heartfelt rendition of "Bring HIm Home" accompanied only by guitarist Al Vosper inspired the audience to a standing ovation just before the intermission. It was a magical evening.

If you know Alfie Boe from the PBS broadcast of Les Miserables or his Alfie Live DVD then you know he's got a good voice - and that's an understatement. But be prepared for so much more. His concerts are high energy with brilliant musicians, enormous fun and personality and fantastic music ranging fom classic Itaian Neapolitan to Elvis (as seen at the UK's Jubilee Concert) to the most moving and beautiful versions of songs like John Prine's Angels from Montgomery which will be on his new album out in the Fall. His brilliant sell out concerts at Kansas City and New York earlier in the year were only a taster of what to expect.

I saw Alfie in Les Miz a couple of years ago, and he was fabulous! He didn't disappoint in his more pop-oriented, more personal performance at the Birchmere. His voice is amazing, and the venue really lent itself to being able to experience him in a more personal setting. He was charming, funny, and interacted well with the audience. It really had the feel of seeing a very talented good friend (plus an extremely handsome one, at that!) in an intimate setting. This was my first time at the Birchmere, and I can't recommend it enough. I went alone, and wound up sitting with five other women and making some new friends. We have just moved here from England and my Mum came to stay for the christmas holidays, When I saw that Alfie Boe was here I just had to get her a ticket as a xmas present. This was my first time at The Birchmere and my first time seeing Alfie Boe live. The upside.... we had a great evening. Alfie Boe is an engaging performer and that voice... nice that he can cross so many genres. In the end it's all about the performer. Having read reviews on the lack of quality as far as the restaurant goes we stuck with nachos - more than enough for two but nothing to write home about. There was a decent selection of (pricey) wines. The wait staff was great - they work very hard and deserve to be tipped well. The downside... having to wait outside in a first come/first served line is a bit much for a $45 ticket. And it doesn't end there. You're given a number with your tickets rather than a seat assignment. You're captive for an hour until they begin calling numbers at which point you go inside the actual theater to choose a seat. You're free to come and go after that but take the risk of someone moving whatever you've laid on your seat to reserve it - which is why we didn't go across the street to a local restaurant while we waited for the performance to begin. Captive again for an hour and a half. If you want anything - even a sip of water - you pay a lot for it. Great money-making strategy for them but not so great for the customer.

If Alfie Bow comes to your town please make sure you see this talented artist. He was in the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserable as Jon Valjean. What a show Alfie put on! I am so glad my wife & I decided to get tickets early and attend because this was truly one of those rare "don't miss it" events. Better yet, the price at Birchmere was far less than one would pay at a larger venue like a concert hall downtown in any capitol city. His song selection was first rate all the way through with an eclectic mix of modern, blues, classical, show (Les Miz), folk etc. This was a bit of a surprise since we assumed he would sing mostly classical and show tunes but it was a good surprise because the selection truly showcased his talent & vocal diversity. Highly recommended to anyone who has or has not ever heard Alfie Boe sing on stage, TV or CD; you will not regret it nor forget it.

From the moment Alfie came out he was in tune with the audience. He was relaxed, happy, lively, and animated and it just got better and better from there. The energy was palpable and his singing was superb. If you don't get his humour and you don't like someone who jokes around with the audience between numbers (and even during songs) then you won't like Alfie Boe concerts. Stick to his CD's. But for the rest of us - it's part of what makes seeing Alfie live so very special. He is AMAZING. The Birchmere suits his style very well and he seems to love playing there. It's first come, first in, so if you want good seats you have to get there early. But it's well worth it to be in the very front! The band were all fantastic and Al Vosper is a brilliant musician in his own right. Such a joy to listen to his guitar playing. Alfie said he'd like to come back to the Birchmere. If he does, GO!

Alfie's voice is heavenly, and this show was divine. After a disappointingly short first act, which included the heartbreakingly beautiful "Bring Him Home" and assorted other show tunes, Alfie and his band returned for a longer, more lively second act of well-chosen rock covers, American Country ballads, and audience-participation tunes. Alfie endeared himself to the audience, even while good-naturedly ribbing several people for showing up late. Please bring him back!

Too much Super bowl discussion with the audience. The three children brought onstage as "backup" remained on stage thru the last 3 songs ,blocking our view of the performers. Mr Boe took a 30 minute+ intermission with no explanation other than a ridiculous "I was locked in the bathroom" excuse. He did a very nice eclectic mix of music.

Alfie Boe is a great entertainer! He believes in performing music from all genres not just opera or songs from Les Miserables. He establishes a friendly rapport with the audience and there are several very funny moments during the show! The only suggestions I would make would be to shorten the intermission and save Bring Him Home for the encore! That said...I would definitely go see him again, even on Super Bowl Sunday!!!

Listening to his CDs is great, but there is nothing like a live performance. His banter with the audience is entertaining, the sound of the live musicians incredible, and his range of musical styles along with his incredible voice is overwhelming.

He has a great voice, great talent. He was determined to sing a wide array of music which he did. The problem is, that's not what we really wanted to hear. I thought when I bought my tickets that he'd do a lot more Broadway. He sang only one song from Les Mis.

I wish Alfie Boe had stuck with tenor style songs. His ventures to "rock" were not so enjoyable. The sound in the theater was "off". The instruments were too loud and at times completely over-powered Boe's voice.

Fabulous concert. He sang his signature "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables in the first set and the did a lot of rock and roll after the intermission. He has a fabulous voice, but needs to add some other great songs to his performance that highlight his talent. Great interaction with the audience! Band was a little to loud and at times drowned out the voice.

Thursday night at BergenPAC was a wonderful and intimate evening with Alfie Boe. It was very low key and informal. He has the most beautiful voice and personality. He chatted with the audience between songs and mid-song. He was very funny. He sang beautifully. I first became aware of him on PBS when I watched the 25 anniversary special of Les Miz. He was the most outstanding Jean Valjean ever!!! (and I have seen 4 of them). I would have preferred more songs from Les Miz in his show (he sang "Bring Him Home'). His play list was eclectic from Broadway, to opera, to Elvis, country and the blues. He is a singer's singer. I will definitely see him again. My husband who is more of a progress rock fan thoroughly enjoyed the show. I wish it had been sold out. He deserves to sing to a sold out audience.

My wife first told me about seeing Alfie Boe's concert on a PBS fund raiser. She was impressed. Usually she does not rave about anyone, but she truly enjoyed him. Six of us saw his performance Friday night and we were all blown away. He showed such a variety of music and--much more than we expected. He was funnya and engaged with the audience very well. We loved it!!! A terrific and enjoyable show! Definately 5 stars!

I saw Les Miserable's 25th Anniversary show on PBS and loved it. I had no idea who Alfie Boe was until PBS was offering tickets to his show for a donation. I saw he was at the Keswick Theater in PA and bought tickets not knowing what to expect. He is an awesome performer, so very talented, great sense of humor, great dancer nad much more. His voice is unbelievable. He did some rock, some Elvis songs, and one song from Les Mis. Alfie chatted with the audience and invited the audience on stage to dance. I could have listened to him all night. I would definitely recommend seeing Alfie Boe if you get a chance and I would love to see him again.

6 songs in and then a 30 minute intermission? Plus his song choices were unexpected - he sang a couple of the showtunes for which he is known, but the majority of the songs were more rock than i expected from his albums.

Terrific concert...much more than we expected. Alfie was charming and so entertaining! Who knew he was such a comedian, too? Her did more than just sing...he danced, he spoke with and teased the crowd...it was a real performance. Take the opportunity to hear him perform live if you can! His voice is mesmerizing. During Bring Him Home and the Civil War Song, (encore) you could have heard a pin drop in the audience. The crowd was captivated. He even invited audience members on the stage to dance and sing with him during two songs! Unreal! Only regret...wish the concert had lasted a little longer.

Surprised by the amount of of rock/blues/folk in the show. Only one Les Mis song. However the unexpectedness kept me on the edge of my seat. Alfies personality and joy of performing enhanced everything he did. My only criticism was the loudness which actually made the lyrics hard to understand (and was painful to the ears at times,) while I couldn't always hear his interaction w/ the audience. Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend.

Don't know if there are enough adjectives in the English language to describe how Alfie Boe wowed a totally enraptured audience Friday in Glenside, Pa. It was a charmfest from beginning to end, as well as and awe-inspiring display of raw, powerful, extraordinarily beautiful vocal talent. I had heard Alfie Boe on PBS and although I'm not an opera fan, I was moved by his amazing voice, so I got tickets to hear him live. I am so glad I did. I can't begin to describe how stunningly amazing is his voice. It is simply captivating. If that weren't enough, his humor on stage kept everyone laughing; his dancing was unexpectedly excellent; his band was astounding; his vocal range, dynamic range, clarity, and the way he sings with such feeling make him one of the best singers in the world! You owe it to yourself to see him live. You will be stunned.

The show is not to be missed. The man can sing everything from Neapolitan songs(old Italian folk songs) to musical theater (Bring Hiim Home from Les Mis, Wheels of a Dream from Ragtime) to folk songs (In My Daughter's Eyes) to Elvis and much, much more. He also has a great sense of humor and is very funny so you are either enthralled by the music or laughing at the humor. A great night. Not to be missed. The band is really good and it is apparent that the singer and the band really work well together.

Alfie Boe's concert was unbelievable. His voice is almost perfect. He is friendly and knows how to perform as well as sing. His renditions of Bring Him Home and the civil war song were exactly what I expected, and wanted to hear. Sometimes the cd's and reality don't equate for a singer....in this case, it was every bit as good and the fact that it was live was better. He showed great versatility in what he sang from Les Mis to Elvis to neopolitan songs. But in the end it was his voice. He never strained to make any note and he hit every one with perfection. My wife and I would go right now, anywhere in the world to hear and see him play Jean Val Jean in Les Mis. Not quite the same, but we are going to see him again tomorrow night at another venue. He was that good. Only thing I was left wanting for was more Les Mis songs.....but that was not a biggie by any stretch.

Alfie Boe's musical talent and the beauty of his voice can be experienced on a CD or a DVD. However, the added dimension of his personal warmth and his obvious sincerity has to be experienced in a live performance. Monday nights' concert in Toronto was memorable for many reasons. From the beginning, where the songs were of heartfelt meaning (including "In My Daughters' Eyes" and "Bring Him Home") through the rocking party atmosphere of the conclusion of the show, the connection with the audience grew and was undeniable. Simply staged with the support of a talented band of musicians and Alfie's joy of performance this was a truly beautiful evening of deep feeling and life-affirming happiness and laughter.

I didn't know what to expect when I walked in and saw a band set up on stage - I had thought the concert would be more classical. It wasn't and it was GREAT - Alfie rocked out with his FANTASTIC band; what an amazing group of musicians. From his ethereal entry on stage to the acoustic rendition of "Bring Him Home" to his antics jumping up and down during his rock & roll sets, Alfie was pure entertainment. Neopolitan songs were lovely as were the arrangements of the Rolling Stones classics. I cannot say enough about the band; the percussionist were stellar adding all the right touches at the right time -didn't miss the orchestra or brass at ALL !! Alfie's comedic timing, that charming accent and his one liners were hysterical - and his earthy roots made me feel like I was at a pub watching an A+ band. Well done, lads.

He made his name singing opera and for me, Les Miz. I wish he still sang that. He was singing popular songs now that didn't showcase his voice but it was awesome to see him in person singing anyway. I would have given it five stars if his songs show-cased his voice more. You are a tenor - use your voice!

I saw and heard Alfie Boe sing for the first time on the 25th Anniversary Les Miz concert tape that was showed in the theaters. He totally captivated me with his voice. I saw his musical theater type performance then. I was so amazed watching him at his concert because he's so versatile with his singing--from opera, to rock, to pop and much more. He has a funny sense of humor which made him very lovable to his audience. He has great rhythm with his movements when he's singing. He's so enjoyable to watch and I'm enthralled with his voice. While standing on line to enter the concert Wednesday night at the Town Hall Theatre, the crowd was buzzing with anticipation for the concert. Everyone that I talked to, shared my excitement for the chance to hear Alfie sing the songs that he mastered in the Les Miserable 25th Anniversary concert. It was obvious that he had touched so many with his emotional and dramatic performance and that was why so many had bought tickets. After warming up his voice with a few songs, we were treated to a beautiful rendition of Bring Him Home, only to have it destroyed by a cell phone ringing in the crowd for the second time during the first act. At the beginning of the second act, Alfie got off to a good start that showed off his range and emotional vocal talent when he performed a few Italian opera pieces, but from that point on, the show went down hill. I was so disappointed that there were no more songs from Les Mis or any other similar music. While he did a fine job with Elvis and Stones hits, that is not why we came and I was so disappointed that we didn't even stay for the encores. His voice is one of the best around and his song choices didn't highlight his amazing talent at all.
