All I can say is catch them in your part of town, for a real throw down. Blackbird, Lodge, George and the band keep getting stronger. Played a nice mix of old new and newer stuff. I've seen P-funk dozens of times since the 70's and I'm here to say I was not disappointed one bit.

Venue was incredible and Clinton and Parliament as always were superb! A show to remember! Stood the entire show at the waist-high stage. Sound was great. Performers amazing! There's something special and magical about an intimate venue like this.

I loved the show, it was great to hear all of the old songs that I grew up with. The bands transition so smoothly. Geogre Clinton as always play on and on, schedules don't mean at thing with these bands of old. It is the music and fan satisfaction that drives these guys! The fans were great except for the one woman who forgot she was at an inside concert and not Grant Park. She decided to light up a cigarette as well as a joint. She was toss out of the place and probably arrested!

Ohio Players featuring Sugarfoot, the Bar-Kays, Con Funk Shun, the Dazz Band and Slave were awesome. The music was excellent and the bands were responsive to the audience. They played well together and created a good show. Interesting that they were the warm up act. George Clinton passed his prime years ago but he always showed up with a great band and his performance was enjoyable. This time, IS BAND SUCKED! It appears he called a musician pool, guys who never heard the music before showed up and and played the notes. There was no passion. The female singer enjoyed her own voice more than the audience enjoyed it. I left 3 songs into the PARLIAMENT performance. I can not believe how many people arrived late. A full hour after the show began, people were still being seated. There was not enough staff to seat them quickly. It was disturbing and annoying.

Being a lifelong fan of George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic, I was extremely disappointed with the show that he presented. I've gone to see him perform many times now, and this was the first time that I regretted going. His additions in the show were not what his fans wanted to see. I still am a fan and always will be, but I think he needs to change his presentation of his current show.

I love the old school concerts, because I am old school. However, George Clinton is too old now he needs to sit down and let someone else take over. Actually he did he had everyone else singing which was a disaster. I thought it was boring and tired. The Arie Crown was so hot I think someone forgot to turn on the air conditioner. My hair was a total flop when I left which was before the concert was over with. I dont think I will do another concert at the Arie Crown. Im pretty sure the audience would love to have a refund I know I would.

This event was phenomenal!!!! No time to get bored! I didn't sit down at all during the entire first half! And when George Clinton walked out on the stage- HOLLA! I would have went home satisfied. AGAIN, THIS WAS ONLY THE FIRST HALF! If there is anything to complain about it would be that I was having such a good time, singing, dancing and screaming that I was getting tired before George Clinton and Parliament fininshed ( and no it had nothing to do with age). His show was like a concert all in itself. Nothing rushed, the female that was singing could have had her own blues show, the lady was BAD. And his grand-daughter, she is definitely on her way. Best of all, everyone that performed could actually sing and dance.

It was almost as if they started to rehearse for this event too late, it was rather ragged. One dismaying moment was when Bootsy Cllins walk out for about five minutes of so called "funk," and walk off, that's was disapointing. The sound system seemed to be out of whack and at times couldn't hear talking, or the lead singer very well.

Opening acts were good. Nice warm-up. George and Parliment awful. Didn't play many of the great Funk tunes they're known for. The sound was uncharacteristically BAD. The normal show (theatrics) were missing and without a lot of the original band members it was a terrible miss! Con Funk Shon sounded the best, maybe because most of the original members were there. The Ohio Players and Dazz Band did Ok, but Sugarfoot was far from himself. Maybe the time is over for these GREAT bands to put on performances close to the past. I guess they are in their 60's.

My husband and I was truly disappointed with the concert. It is truly time for George Clinton to retire - FOREAL. Also, he kept trying to force the female singer down our throats, when we didn't pay to see her. It's alright to debut someone, but enough is enough.

The first half of the concert was good with minor audio problems. I was very disappointed with the second half of the concert Parliament and George Clinton was very boring, people started leaving the concert early. I don't think I will ever go to see Parliament and George Clinton in concert again. Nevertheless the other groups were worth the money. I wish Slave would have performed more than one song.

I will summarize in 3 categories: The Good: All the artists with the exception of one were on their game. The concert started exactly on time, which is very unusual. The music selections met my expectations. The Bad: Sugarfoot of the Ohio Players should at least attempt to remember the words to his own songs especially considering the amount of stage time he was given. The Ugly: Why would the promoters turn the sound off in the venue while Parliament/Funkadelic were performing? And would someone tell me why Bootsy Collins abruptly walked off stage in the middle of his performance along with his dancers?! What was that all about? I really felt like the audience was deserved either a rain/check or a partial refund. I listened to several complaints in the lobby near the end of the concert.

My friend and I went to this concert together. It was amazing, we face painted and got and funkay. We were a little sad no one else face painted. But, we progressed on. My friend got put on stage. That was really cool! We danced our own way and funked down to the p-funk party. The crowd was exhilarating and rambunctious. I loved watching George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic inspire the crowd to get there freak on. More people should do it more often! If we all brought out our freaky sides...this world would be a happier place. I was the happiest clam throughout the whole concert. I wouldn't have missed for the world! I'll be looking forward to going to more George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic concerts. Next time I go I hope to show George some of my good dance moves. Y'all have a nice day now.

This is one the best shows I've ever been to!! What a wild experience! First of all, since I only ordered a single ticket, I was able to score a seat in the orchestra pit! 2nd ROW!! But I didn't even sit in it!! I danced the whole time in the aisle next to it! You couldn't help but dance!! Even at 70, George has still got it! And the P-Funk line up was amazing! And top all this off, near the end, I was pulled up on stage, along with about 20 or 30 other people to join in on the fun and dance!!! I was dancing on the stage with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic!!!!!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around it!! WHAT A SHOW!!!

Okay, Morris Day was a little late which made his stage time shorten. Morris was good for the LITLE TIME he performed. Hammer was a disappointment! He danced more in the background of the George Clinton set. This was the third time for seeing George this year. He did not give a good show; if you are a George Fan you will not get the REAL Funk unless you see him in a small venue. So overall average performance. Go see Morris Day in a venbue where he is the headliner and you will see a show. Look at old videos on You Tube for his show, because he performed in the aisle for two of his songs and no one could see. I was disappointed, because I bought 5 tickets to the show and 2 of the seats were front row center. I just needed more, but still a fan of all three artist. HAMMER, step it up buddy!

it truly was a 100% Funkified Detroit . i think the Funk was a little bit off their game because of the death of Gary Shider who they dedicated their show. The female ballads were a bit overblown. They just didn't do enough of their classics but they did do things from the very 1st album which made my evening. Not very many people at this show do to economics. Prices need to come down or less acts will tour. Cameo on the other hand put on a much better show than the Funk. Why is it i prefer the opening acts? Word Up, Shake Your Pants & I Just Want To Be were the highlights of their very danceable fonk. i wanted to hear Alligator Woman but alas. Come back Cameo!!! <3

No rainbow dreads, no gray beard...a conservative-looking George Clinton blew us away last night. They played an almost 4-hour set, and played old songs like, "Night of the Thumpasaurus People" that 'd never seem them do live before. They're a band that loves their fans, and mingle with the crowd afterwards...a serious treat!

The Funkmob invaded the HOB Anaheim and tore the roof of the sucker. George entered during Cosmic Slop sans the rainbow hair and looked and sounded great. He was vibrant, energetic and was really enjoying himself. The band was tight and in the pocket. The set started with Bop Gun, with Steve Boyd who did a great job carrying most of the lead vocal in the absence of Garry "Starchild" Shider who is battling cancer. (please contribute to his fund for info go to GeorgeClinton.com) All of the songs sounded great. The band played a rarely performed live rendition of "I Wanna Testify", which was awesome. And Michael Hampton played a beautiful rendition of the classic "Maggot Brain". Rico Lewis contributed some nice lead guitar, despite his over the top theatrics. Steve invoked the spirit of Glen Goins singing "Swing Down, Sweet Chariot" at the end of Mothership Connection. The band played for almost 4 hours in a highly energetic and great sounding show. Don't miss them next time they come to town!

Gotta say- George and the Parliament Funkadelic always seem to winning the battle against old age. The show not only was tight, they even stepped on a few of their oldies with some new riffs. Long show like usual. Loved every minute of it!!! Venue was the wierdest I have ever been to, a House of Blues in the middle of Disneyland. Had to walk 1/2 mile from parking lot. Worst of all it was in Orange County, so the crowd was just as weird , it was like being in a New Jersey kind of crowd. But the show started off booming and kicked all the way until the electricity went down.

The concert was awesome. They played almost all of my favorite songs. The crowd was really friendly and into the music. BB Kings is a great venue for music events. Its not too big and not too small. George Clinton is still the man and I love Gary Shider (diaperman). As always I didn't want them to stop playing, eventhough they had been playing music since 8:00 pm and they stopped at 12:30 am. I love the FUNK!!! Can't get enough of it. Next time they are in town you must check them out. Its like no other show!!! And you haven't heard FUNK until you've heard it live.
Great show, George Clinton and the P-funk allstars....Wow i had a great time .the live music, on and on i was in a zone that music is hypnotizing damn, i had tears in my eyes went to work and could not stop thinking about the show . Head knocking body rocking P FUNK BABY!!!!
I'm still awe- strucked. this was my first George Clinton event but i can bet it will not be my last. I thought the show was amazing. I took my Husband who is not a fan of Funk, but had a great time. he was able to spot real talent when he was it! the show was simply awesome. my feet hasnt touched the ground yet!
THE CONCERT WAS OFF THE HOOK......I HAD SO MUCH FUN...I DANCED WITH SIR NOSE AND GEORGE CLINTON ON STAGE ...I DANCED THE PARTIED THE WHOLE NIGHT...IT WAS SO MUCH FUN....HAD TO BE THE BEST CONCERT I BEEN TO IN A LONG TIME.
Been funkin' since 1972 with "Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow" but was down even before then when they were released as The Parliaments on Westbound Records in the late '60's with "I Wanna Testify. Real Funkateers know the dealy, Yo --- your ticket money is ALWAYS well spent at the P-Funk party!!!
First off, I should say I do not like the Venue. The Casino Ballroom in Hampton is just not a great place to see a show. That said, George Clinton didn't stand up to all of the hype I had heard for so long. A religious experience it was not. More like...wow...ok, this is interesting for aobut 5 minutes. Maybe I expected too much. George is a pretty out-there kinda guy. Maybe the band was having an off night (It was FREEZING!). I don't know, but I was let down.
The opening act was fair. George and company were not even close to fair. This was the worse concert I have ever attended. It was noise...and not good noise! We actually left the venue 45 minutes into the main event. We tried moving from the front to the bar, hoping the noise was less offensive, but it did not help. We kept thinking George would give us a performance, but he did Not! The backup singers (and stripper) were awful. Very disappointed.
I thought George Clinton and the band were awesome they played all the old favorites the crowd was into it if I had one critique it would be the last number or two where George s grandchildren were rapping... it didn t exactly go along with the rest of the show! Sir Nose was awesome with his handstands and gyrations!!

Funkateers know that every P Funk show is more like a family reunion and a spiritual experience all in one. This show did not disappoint. We saw George Clinton and pfunk on July 28 at the vintage Neptune Theater in Seattle's University District. The show was many things: deafening loud, chaotic, the tiny stage crammed with musicians (we counted 19 at one point), and yet spectacular. There is nothing quite like a pfunk show. George Clinton was at center stage, the master leader of the moving parts. After a cacophonous opening with Alice of My Fantasies, they settled into a funk extravaganza. Blackbyrd McKnight s Maggot Brain was a screeching masterpiece. Sir Nose managed acrobatics on the crowded stage. I loved the groove and simplicity of Flashlight. Crowd favorites were One Nation Under a Groove, Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)/Night of the Thumpasorus People, and Atomic Dog. As I watched, I pondered the long history of this band and members who have influenced it - the Parliament days. Bootsy and Bernie Worrell. The Jimi Hendrix influence. Eddie Hazel. We returned home with ears ringing, a little bit stunned, and grateful for another chance to see this amazing band.

I love this band and have seen them many times over the past 46 years, starting at Boston College in 1971, where the show began with no one on stage except the drummer, while the rest of the band was slithering throughout the audience like snakes playing instruments & singing. Now you can't expect that from a 75 year old man, but I really appreciate Clinton putting this class act on the road and keeping his funk creation alive for an epic evening of fun in Miami last Sunday. The setlist was all encompassing, the ParliamentFunkadelics were high energy, and the Brides / Parlettes were on-key & sexy. Thank you for coming to South Florida!

Having never been able to see George Clinton live but being a huge fan of his body of work I was very excited to see this legend live before his ability to perform live had ended. I've watched a bunch of his live concerts and noted that recent recordings were not the same lively and passionate entertainer but I was not prepared to see this lion laid so low. George spent most of the concert sitting down on the stage, the supporting cast ended up turning most of the concert into a rap-metal concert and sadly even that was at best sub-par.

This concert was totally off the hook. When we arrived and heard music playing we assumed it was a warm up band- but no. Clinton and his crew did their own warm up and kept it going at their high energy pace for the next two plus hours. It was more of a floor show than a concert with George Clinton acting as master of ceremonies and director. He allowed all of his band members and there were lots- 20 or more, to have their moment in the spotlight. Heart felt singing and playing, great costumes and High spirited dancing that bordered on being acrobatics at times.

Great show! Saw my first Funkadelic/Parliament/George Clinton show 40 years ago, and George continues to deliver great music and a fun time!

If you like funk, this is a must-see for history and nostalgia. Yes, George Clinton is kinda old, the show is a little chaotic, and it's not the 1970s anymore. But the music is good and the crowd is diverse and really fun. A good funk party and you get to see the godfather of funk lead a (pretty good) band and be with his fans. They gave a lot of energy. If you want to have a night of joy and funk (and a little psychedelia) just go, see it before it's gone.

George Clinton is the consummate showman! I saw PFunk in 1979 and it was the best concert I have ever attended. While the UCH certainly couldn't accommodate the spectacle that was PFunk, the band can still get us all "funked up!" My only complaint was the sound. Not sure if it was the in-house folks, or the sound people who travel with the band, but the mics weren't working for many of the vocalists or the horns. But, the show went on and it was fantastic.

This event was a surprise for the hubby. This concert here was the Party of The Year. Five Stars are not enough to describe this concert. From the Mary Jane Girls, SOS Band, Cameo to George Clintion there wasn't a dull moment. From start to finish there was GREAT music. My hubby talked about it for days saying, "Babe, that was a GREAT concert." It took the rest of the weekend to recover from this event, I was all partied out. ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS EVENT, IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY PLUS SOME.

I first saw P Funk at The Apollo in the seventies, and have been loyal since. Even during the worse drug years there were flashes of brilliance, but this was sustained, loose, inspired genius. It never flagged and the two and a half hours flashed by. I loved the fact that there were so many new musicians but the spirit and heart of P Funk were intact. I hope that we all get to see George Clinton perform for many more years. I went with my son and daughter-in-law and they were grinning the entire time. My son had seen George Clinton before with me, but never when he was at the top of his game (although he was disappointed that a couple did not get married onstage and receive George's benediction).

I was right up front, which is a good thing unless you have sensitive hearing. If your planning on video your sound could sound crackled. The venue is awesome.

Took me 40 years to make it to his show, it was worth the wait. What a showman! He really understands how to entertain and makes the audience part of the show. The musicians were truly fantastic. I would put him in the category with the late Frank Zappa, both of them musical geniuses. To the untrained eye, some aspects of the show might come across as being random, but the opposite is true. That show is choreographed to the nth degree and the appearance of randomness is absolutely brilliant. At 76, who knows how much longer he will be able to continue, so see him if you get the opportunity.

Overall the concert was good. Personally I would `have liked more classic Funk-Rock and less rap. The solo by McNight was the highlight of the evening.

So I love love George Clinton! I enjoyed the opening band, girl can sing and GC's band was awesome. While that was good, I wanted so much more of him and much less of the 3rd generation, which was not a good fit for the age group of goers..it was obvious. As for the House of Blues, the tv monitors were horrible, like you could barely see the pic and the audio..barely could hear the vocals.

I love GC and the world he created, but this was a watered down P funk. Too much rap not enough funk. Sound was muddy. No general admission seats, had to stand for entire show.

George Clinton and Parliament/FunkadeliC killed it that night! They put on a great ass show! Part of the show was funk, jazz, rock and rap. For a 75 year old brother, he has the energy of a 25 year old kid lol. I hope they come back to the Atl next year, fly on y'all....

I have seen Parliment 3 times. This one was pretty bad. Missing a lot of original members and band does not stay on the format. It's like their playing whatever they want. The hit songs are unrecognizable . They need to go back to the costume and stage presence they used to have. As for George Clinton stay on stage and perform or go backstage don't sit down because you're out of shape. I know you can do a better show than what I saw.

What a drag. Clinton sat on a chair for most of the time and barely participated. Dull and the acoustics were very poor.

I think the concert was good but the venue was horrible!. First, of all, I though that it was general admission; not assigned seating. We arrived at about 7:30 and sat in the balcony but was moved several times. Finally, the theater worker told us that our seats were downstairs but there were no more seats when we went there. We had no choice but to stand. This was bad because I am still healing from an ankle injury and my husband had bad knees. We finally went to sit down in the lobby are for the duration on the concert. The acoustics were very bad. As we left at 10:45, we realized that we could hear the concert better in the parking lot. I was very dissatisfied with this.

Concert was great. Buckhead Theater needs to find a way to stop smoking during the event. They stopped video taping but not people smoking in the crowd. I had to move away which impacted my experience.

Caught George about 9 times over the last 25 years. By far the most mediocre the rappers suck and detract from the show. His grandkids should've learned to read liner notes.

I'm a original funkateer! It was good seeing George Clinton but didn't like all the rapping. George should get Bootsie Collins on the tour. Then it would be funky. Alot of people left out. No Cosmic Slop,,,,REALLY? I know he's grooming his grandkids but for what, I don't know. The vibe was up and down. When he played the originals, everybody felt it.

The opening act, Miss Velvet and the Blue Wolf, was fantastic. Band was super tight and music was a nice mix of rock/funk. George Clinton barely sang or spoke. Music was disappointing. Venue was actually pretty cool (hence the 4 star rating), but George Clinton needs to revamp his show or retire.
