Lifehouse & Switchfoot

I was expecting Lifehouse to open the show. It was Switchfoot, and it was great. Eventually it started raining non stop, and the band kept playing. I stayed as many others did. Enjoy the whole set. By the time Lifehouse was setting up, the rain had stopped a bit. Left at the start of their first song.

Like a fine wine, these guys all get better with age. Many bands have a few good years, then the lead singer can't hit the same notes and band mates are on Dancing With The Stars. The members of Lifehouse and Switchfoot are still selling out shows after nearly two decades and their music is timeless. If you haven't seen them in concert, you're not living a full life.

Switchfoot and Lifehouse put on a great show! It was a beautiful night at the Greek. We were on our feet the entire show!!

Just an amazing concert. I've been a Lifehouse fan since No Name Face but this was my first time seeing them perform. They sounded great, put on a great show, and lived up to my expectations for sure. I wasn't as much of a Switchfoot fan going into the concert, but I am now. They sounded just as great and really put on a great show. I loved the way they interacted with the crowd.

All the band's were amazing and into their music which, to me, makes a good performer.

Lifehouse was unbelievable and my favorite! Switchfoot rocked it - the only thing was they had the bass up very very loud my seats were by stage so we moved up as our ears could not take it. Not sure why it was so strong But we love them

Awesome show from Switchfoot and Lifehouse! Brynn Elliott was very good warm up act! Rose Music Center is very nice, easy in and out.

This was my 3rd time seeing Switchfoot! They're always amazing live. Lifehouse was soooooooo good! I honestly didn't realize how many Lifehouse songs I knew!

Excellent show, great song sets and a very nice venue.

I am still singing the songs from the concert and it is 5 days later. The music was amazing they sound just as good as they do on the radio. Both bands front person went into the crowd. So many great songs and I heard a lot of songs I haven't heard before that are now some of my favorites.

I have now seen Lifehouse four times and have enjoyed every single concert that I've seen! Switchfoot was a wonderful surprise and the night was absolutely awesome for an outdoor concert. Brynn Elliott was fantastic as well. All three bands were enjoying themselves and had a great rapport with the audience. I would recommend this concert to absolutely anybody. It was a completely awesome evening.

Beautiful night for a concert outdoors however Lifehouse decided it should be indoors so spent the evening standing on concrete instead of sitting under the stars on the grass. And then they played a very short set. Very disappointing!

Great live show, great music, great venue! A bunch of talented musicians that I look forward to seeing again!

Great performances. Terrible venue. Was supposed to be outside but was inside on a perfect evening.

Lifehouse is a real class act on stage, very professional. Amazing vocals. Awesome collaboration of shortening old songs together. One of those bands where every song is great. Thank you so much for coming to Ohio! Waited so long!!!

The venue was great, the beer was cold & life house blew me away vocally, & when another band member sang " in the name of love" I thought I was in heaven

Great concert, great atmosphere, great venue. Everything about this concert was awesome. Those working there, those performing, the food, the beverages. No complaints at all. Would recommend seeing the concert and would also recommend this venue for other events.

The opening act (which was not announced beforehand) started an hour past advertised start time of 6 p.m., and she was brutal. I was stunned they gave her eight songs, which was a complete joke. ... It was 8 p.m. when the real show - Switchfoot started. Switchfoot was terrific. Their musicianship has improved every time I've seen them in the past 15 years, and their catalog speaks for itself. Unquestionably they should have been the headliner though I suspect they're trading off with Lifehouse (or just being nice to a band that has been off the radar for a few years). ... This was Lifehouse's first show in a long time, and it showed. Jason's voice has changed a bit. His acoustic set was the highlight of their gig but they were hit and miss overall. They played a greatest hits setlist, which shouldn't surprise anyone since they just released their greatest hits. ... Several people left after Switchfoot played, draw your own conclusions from that. ... The acoustics at the Fillmore were terrible, particularly during the opening act and Lifehouse (too much feedback). Again, only Switchfoot seemed to know how to navigate that. ... This is a tour that probably will improve the longer it goes on. Switchfoot took this show from 2 stars to 4.

Amazing venue and two amazing bands. Switchfoot and Lifehouse together was a dream come true. Can't wait to see both again.

The concert was fantastic! They played old music and current songs. I was thrilled to hear them perform "Flight" from their most recent album. The latest album is one of their greatest and I wish Jason would have performed more songs like "Yesterday's son" and "Central Park". Overall the night was great and the energy was fantastic. Thanks LIFEHOUSE for a wonderful evening.

Lifehouse is ALWAYS amazing in concert. They are one of the few bands that actually sounds SOOO much better live than their actual albums. They really go above and beyond in their performances. This review is really more about the "VIP Meet N Greet" with Lifehouse. We had to line up 45 minutes early to wait to get checked in by our "host" Erik. Once we were inside we had to wait another 45 minutes to even go see the band do an intimate performance just for us.....2 songs.....we waited all that time for 2 songs. Ok, no big deal, we still get to meet them and take pictures with them. We waited in line again to get our chance to meet them. We got to shake their hands and say nice to meet you and then Erik started snapping our picture with the band before we were even set up. With no warning or anything. Then he started hurrying us off so the next people could come in, even though we were told we could have the band sign one item. So we ignored Erik and the band hurried and signed our one item as Erik was ushering us off. We spent so much money to wait around, hang out with Erik who was over the top/obnoxious/and rushed, and barely got any time with the band. THEN we were told in our VIP email that we got entry into the venue 15-20 minutes before everyone else so we didnt have to wait in line before the concert and the security guards would not let us in. Erik just happened to be coming out of the gate and all of the VIPs started asking him and he just kept walking by. Amazing how once his duties were over he no longer was trying to help us. Luckily some other workers at the Greek Theatre let us in early. I love Lifehouse and have loved them for years, but I wouldnt pay money for the VIP package ever again knowing that I was paying to hang out with some random guy named Erik. Thanks but no thanks.

We did the meet and greet package for both bands. They were both so sweet and kind to us. The concert was beyond breathtaking. Each performance engaged the audience and had us dancing the whole time. I'm a huge huge Lifehouse fan and again they didn't let me down. Until next time!

Switchfoot is always worth the price of admission but Lifehouse was incredible....i left a new fan for sure

Switchfoot was fantastic. Very energetic and really connected with the audience. Was looking forward to Lifehouse and was disappointed in the sound quality. They need a new soundguy. Jason sounded great and then the guitarist would play and that is all you could hear. It was so unbalanced. The crowd still seemed to love it and if you know the music then you could follow along but I wanted to hear vocals. It did improve halfway through but was still rough.

It was a great show at the South Side Ballroom! Both bands did great!

We had a great time at the Switchfoot/Lifehouse show. Both bands have a great amount of energy and sound great live. Both of the lead singers have excellent voices. They played all their great songs. I do wish that the venue hadn't of changed because I didn't enjoy standing for 4 hours, but it did not take away from my enjoyment of the music. Great show!

Switchfoot and Lifehouse, two talented groups of genuinely good guys with meaningful lyrics. The open-air grandstand was perfect for a fall-like evening.

Only stayed for Switchfoot, not sure why they were opening for Lifehouse and not the other way around? I left after Switchfoot, thoroughly satisfied with them but just wishing they had more time to play.

Switchfoot put on high energy show. Jason Wade and Lifehouse sounded great.

Great stage lighting & sound with Switchfoot & Lifehouse. Jason Wade still has the sweet spot in his voice that's priceless! There were longer times between all band changes which extended the event. I would see Lifehouse again!

I enjoyed this concert...Both bands were very good! I am a huge Lifehouse fan but enjoyed Switchfoot's performance as well.

Lifehouse is one of my all time favorite bands. They are seriously unrated or just overlooked. I had 3rd row orchestra seats. It was absolutely the best concert I've ever been to. Lifehouse sounds great in person. They put a lot of energy into their shows. They sang their most commercial hits like you and me and fan favorites like everything. Lifehouse does a good job of interacting with the crowd. They even mention seeing some of the same fans from previous nights shows. They also mentioned recognizing some of the people they might during the VIP meet and great. I regret not buying the VIP. Just an FYI for people who do get VIP. The show started at 7 and the VIP was around 1. It involves a lot sitting around. Fans who did it said it was worth it. I can't even describe how much fun I had at this show. It was a dream come true seeing Lifehouse. One of my favorite parts was when bassist, Bryce Soderberg sang lead on U2's Pride(in the name of love) Bryce has quite a voice. I also enjoyed Switchfoot. I am not that big of a fan though. I like them, but not on the same level as my love for Lifehouse. Switchfoot knows how to entertain. They also sound very good live. Don't pass up an opportunity to see these bands. You will love them. I almost forgot to mention opening act Brynn Elliott. This girl is in college and is already a seasoned pro. She has an excellent voice and knows how to get the crowd on her side.

Switchfoot was awesome! Lifehouse was great. We had to leave part way through lifehouse because it was so late & had to work the next day. The venue was nice. Not a huge fan of outdoir concerts because of unpredictable weather..but it turned out nice. Wish the venue carried fountain beverages. Would like a stand for fresh roasted nuts too. All in all great time..

Here in Miami, we usually know that if it is a rain or shine event, IT WILL RAIN! But we were able to see the opening band Brynn and she was good. From there the rain slowly came in and was beaming down throughout Switchfoot's performance. It actually made the concert more memorable with the large amount of rain that came down on us and the band. The rain almost came to a complete stop in between the change from Switchfoot to Lifehouse. I believe that it is what made us leave earlier. The change in between bands felt long and in between the main bands felt much longer. It began raining hard at the first Lifehouse song and we only heard about 4 songs and had to go because it felt too cold and we were completely soaked from head to toe.

They did not disappoint one bit!! So energetic!!!! And Down to Earth!!

Fantastic show they put on but, slightly dissappointed. 1st they lost a star because lifehouse barely gave my side any attention at all. I payed for my ticket too! 2nd star was lost because I was only able to get an autograph from opener, Brynn Elliott.

Switch foot put on a great set very energetic and getting out with the fans . Life house sounded great too would liked a longer set and perhaps some more fan interaction but a solid performance .

Both bands were great and put on a great show. They played great songs, both originals and covers and had some great duets. It was a real rock and roll experience. Even those who didn't know the bands could enjoy.

I loved both bands, but Jon's passion pours out through his music. I'm so glad to see such a talent being used to spread love to so many. Jason's voice is so unique. It was great seeing Lifehouse again.

I did not stay for Lifehouse, but mainly went to see Switchfoot. They did not disappoint! Great guitar solos and wonderful energy from the band! Dare You to Move was epic.

Each band was incredible! I never heard of Brynn Elliott, but her voice had me hooked. Switchfoot gave it their all and most certainly did not disappoint! Lifehouse...well, I just can't say enough, what a talented group! Very rarely do I think a live performance is better than the CD, but in this case, their voices & guitar playing SHINED! They really unified the audience.

Brynn Elliott and Switchfoot were good opening acts for Lifehouse. I've been to many concerts and Lifehouse would be unforgettable

Because we got there super early, we got great spots that were well worth the wait, especially since the show was so incredible. Switchfoot was the reason I went, and they made such a good memory for me. I would absolutely go to see them again without a doubt. The show and experience was well worth the price. The venue was clean and well put together, everything was well organised, and Switchfoot are incredible entertainers and the nicest people. The sound was quite loud near the front, so it's incredibly important not to forget to bring earplugs!

This show was great! So happy they finally came back to NY.

What a terrific concert!!! I will admit I was only going to see Lifehouse since I didn't know Switchfoot. Let's just say I'm glad I did hear them because they were awesome! I loved it! I will most likely buy all of Switchfoot's albums! This was also the first time for me seeing Lifehouse and they were amazing as well! Overall a wonderful concert and I enjoyed it! I was quite surprised and I hope to see them both in the near future!

The Stone Pony Summer Stage is a great place for concerts. Next to the beach and an outside stage makes this perfect for a summer night at the jersey shore. Switchfoot and Lifehouse were a perfect combo and being introduced to Brynn Elliott was a good warm up to the main event.

This was one of my all time favorite concerts! Brynn Elliot opened the show and she did a fantastic job - what a great voice. Switchfoot rocked the place and left me wanting more! Lifehouse has not toured the US in a number of years and boy are we glad they are back! Jason Wade's vocals were unbelievable - he has such a unique voice! Only wished they had played longer and done an extended acoustic set.

Switchfoot put on a great show, and they sound so good live. I love the way that both bands paid attention to the crowd and interacted with us. Lifehouse was my real reason for going, and I couldn't have been more impressed! Jason's voice was over the top PERFECT! At one point the bassist sang a U2 cover and he was awesome too. I will definitely be going to see Lifehouse perform the next time they return!

Seeing Lifehouse has always been on my bucket list- honestly. We live pretty far away, but when I heard, I snagged tix and made it happen with my teenage daughter. I have never been to the venue, either and our minds were just BLOWN! Brynn, the opening act was beyond surprising and a new favorite, Switchfoot was freaking phenomenal and so engaging - and Lifehouse? Well, this lady even teared right up! Both groups sounded even better live than they donon the radio, they're so much fun, love their audience, came out into the audience and had a perfect balance of being intimate yet completely rocking out! I was nervous my daughter wouldn't get too into it, but she ended up knowing nearly every song, so looks like Momma did good! We had an absolute blast, sang our hearts out, felt so many feelings and we were closer than I ever could've dreamt of (2nd row). It truly was the highlight of my summer & ive been to a few concerts this year- This tour is amazing. It's honest, it's fun and these guys are just insane artists!

Lifehouse sounded just like you would here on the radio! They were awesome. Jared, the lead singer, has a great voice! I also really liked Switchfoot. They had a good sound but most of all was always getting the crowd involved. So they were very entertaining!

Brynn started out the show wonderfully. She was engaging and fun. Switchfoot was incredibly energetic and sounded great live! Lifehouse was great. The acoustic performed by the lead singer was the best part. His voice was unforgettable. All put on a great show!

This was seriously one of the BEST concerts I've ever been to. Not only was the weather absolutely perfect for an outdoor concert, the sound could not have been better. I have been to a lot of concerts over the years and most of the time I have to wear ear plugs because the sound is so deafening loud but not this time. The sound was perfect, not painfully loud and I could clearly hear the voices on the stage instead of over powering instruments. Both Lifehouse and Switchfoot were Awesome, there wasn't a moment they weren't entertaining. I was amazed that both Jon Foreman and Jason Wade got off the stage and walked through the crowed while singing. Switchfoot provided big balls the audience got to bounce around. Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Looking forward to the next time I get to go to the McGrath Amphitheater again.

Lifehouse was absolutely amazing as always, and Bryce's cover was perfection despite equipment failure. The venue was excellent. Comfortable atmosphere, drinks were affordable and mercy was a great price!

Lifehouse played a great variety of music and sounded amazing live (which was expected - this was my second Lifehouse show). Switchfoot sounded great as well (although I only knew a few songs) and put on a high energy show. Both singers joined the other band on stage - which I always enjoy. The venue was nice. Parking was a bit frustrating - since we didn't know the area. I would suggest better parking info on the venue page.

I loved this concert so much!!! First of all the scenery was amazing we had a perfect view of the mountains and sky so in the night it was unbelievable looking at the stars while listening to lifehouse perform. They sound so amazing live You can really feel the raw emotion in their performance. I will defiantly see them again if they go on tour

Switchfoot is an amazing band to see even if you do not know all or many of there songs because Jon Foreman of Switchfoot can be very interactive with the crowd. Lifehouse is the reason I went to this concert. If you love Lifehouse, you will enjoy hearing them live playing all of their greatest hits. Amazing performances.

I've seen Lifehouse perform many times but this had to be the best one ever. Jason and band sounded great and put on a very good show. So glad I got to see them in San Francisco. I've never seen Switchfoot before but they put on a great show as well.

One of the best concerts at one of the best venues

What a great night and what a great combination. It's so awesome to see artists who obviously are having a good time and are happily sharing their music and talent with their fans and each other.

Switchfoot completely won the crowd over, running into the crowd and interacting with everybody from the front to the very back. He got everyone, including those who didn't know all the songs singing along. Lifehouse were amazing, sounding even better if that's possible then even the studio versions. Even the guitarist could sing well. The guitarist gave a excellent solo singing cover of Pride (in the name of love) by U2.

Why was Lifehouse the headlining band? They are great and they performed well, but it was very anticlimactic after Switchfoot. A high energy rock show was followed up by pop? It just felt off and I felt bad for Lifehouse.

One of the best concerts ever! Not much on outside concerts so was a bit hesitant going to White Oak Amphitheatre. Sure glad I went...it was worth the hour of blazing sun and did somewhat cool off as the night went on. I'd never seen either group but will definitely see them again. Both Switchfoot and Lifehouse were great! Some concerts you go to the artists don't sound the same as the radio - both of these groups did. Great music and simply a great night. Can't wait to see them again!!

Drove 3 1/2 hours to see LIFEHOUSE!! It was worth the drive!!! So worth it!!!

Both bands were at the top of their game! Wasn't familiar with Switchfoot's music before, but I fell in love immediately. Jon was very charismatic! I've listened to Lifehouse for years. So happy to see them in person and hear a few of my favorites!

We went to see Lifehouse, but Switchfoot stole the show. Jon Foreman was quite the showman...kept the crowd engaged throughout! I'm a big fan of Lifehouse...but the sound mix was not good & the band chemistry was lacking. The bassist covering u2 was the final straw for me. Jason Wade, however, is an awesome talent. Loved his acoustic offerings most of all!

The Looking for Summer tour with Switchfoot and Lifehouse changed my life. It was the most amazing concert. My voice was gone for like 4 days

The music was fantastic. We heard all of our favorites. Both bands interacted with the crowd more than I expected. The music sounded great.

The Venue: Excellent. We had seats near the front but didn't seem as though there was a bad place to be. The VIP boxes looked nice and the lawn seating was good as well. Only a couple of food vendors (hot dogs, burgers, snack and drink bar) The only negative is seats by the stage were so close they were touching which made difficult for any larger person to be comfortable. The Bands: Lifehouse and Switchfoot were both amazing performances. They both got down in the crowd and made for a complete unique experience. Parking was free. Other reviews complained about the walk to the venue. It was not far at all! And pretty organized.

I went to this concert in anticipation to see Switchfoot. They came out of with all the energy that do of every, single show. Jon Foreman has a way of engaging with the audience like no other. The energy was up and everyone was pumped. Why were they not enough headliner? They've had 10 albums and, every song they sung was recognized by the audience. It was a great, awesome party until Lifehouse hit the stage. It was like the air and energy left with Switchfoot. Every song sounds the same, and people actually left. The two songs that anyone actually knew were the encore songs; basically their only two real hits. Don't get me wrong, many of the songs sounded familiar. Kind of like when you hear a song again after 20 years and may know a line or two to sing along with. The highlight of the Lifehouse segment is when Jon Foreman of Switchfoot came out and sang "Flight". I only stayed for the remainder of the show in hopes that Jon Foreman would do one of his famous Aftershows. I still give this show 5 Stars, simply because Switchfoot never lets the crowd down. Their performance is like a well-oiled machine. I honestly think these guys are so humble, they just allowed Lifehouse to be the headliner, but they stole the show.
