My first time at Rough Trade. Found it to be a great place for a show. Very easy to get in and bar service was very efficient. Staff was very professional. Event was sold out, but size of crowd didn't overwhelm. Snowmine was fantastic-would definitely see again!

My boyfriend and I traveled from Providence, RI to see Snowmine at Great Scott. It was the first time we had ever been to that venue. It was my first time in Allston. The entire experience was so inviting. It was so intimate. We even got to shake some members' hands at the bar prior to the show! I can honestly say this band is even better live than through headphones. I can't express how hard it was to leave such an amazing performance. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Snowmine. Keep on making my heart melt <3

An amazing band put on a phenomenal show, as close to flawless as possible in a live performace. They played with passion, precision and tremendous energy--songs from Laminate Pet Animal and new ones, every bit as good as the old. This band has so much musical talent and showmanship they were amazing to see! Every one in the room was up moving and dancing, cheering and in the end, begging for an encore, which thankfully, Snowmine did (Let Me In). Hard to believe all this took place at 11PM--on a Monday night!

Without a doubt, the most talented, exciting group I have seen out of Brooklyn in a long time. Their unique, distinct sound cuts across a lot of styles. They have real talent which is rare when most bands I see can't really perform a live, blowout show. Every song was better than the last, and I can't wait until the new album comes out!!! I went in to the city on a Monday night to see them because I just couldn't miss the opportunity. Everyone I turn on to this band loves them-no matter what else they listen to!

The Mercury Lounge is a chilled out spot to watch great up and coming bands. There is a small bar in the front and a large room in the back with a stage. It's mostly standing room but there were couches on the side. No pressure to get drinks, I just asked for ice water and the waitress passed me a pitcher. Of course this was an off night (Monday) so it wasn't too crowded. Ski Loft was a good opening act, Snowmine came on at 11pm and played for about an hour. Their music mixes all kinds of influences from modern classical to progressive rock and some of today's alt/psych/indie bands...yet they remain quite unique. I'd see them again.
