Plain White T's

PLAIN WHITE T'S IN CONCERT:Pop-punk outfit Plain White T's is anything but plain live -- the band has been packing a punch with their driving guitar sound, upbeat melodies, and sprightly showmanship since 1997. Whether they're stripping it down with their acoustic smash-hit "Hey There Delilah" or getting fans to sing along to "1,2,3,4", Plain White T's sound just as sharp live as they do on their recordings. A veteran touring act with showmanship to the gills, the five-piece gives concertgoers an unforgettable experience every time they hit the road for one of their exciting tours. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:Chicago-based pop punkers Plain White T's first formed in 1997, getting their start playing local bar and restaurant gigs.

This was my 9 year old son's first concert experience and he claims it was the best day of his life! Not only was the staff attentive, the venue was gorgeous and the acts were right on point. We even left with some great pictures and autographs. We started the day loving the Plain White T's and left loving everyone who played! Thanks to the B.B. King club, my son's Christmas gift turned into a lifelong memory.

A great night of music. They played a lot of music form their new album, along with their hits. The intimate atmosphere of the venue is great. Also 2 members stayed around after the show, chatting and taking pic with everyone that wanted one.

Really fun discovering 'Days Difference'. Their music was totally something i would generally listen to. While Plain White T's seemed to attract a slightly younger crowd, it didn't change the atmosphere of the show, and was overall a fun night.

Start at the beginning: so when I arrived at Rocketown for the concert, I had missed the first two opening bands, but, the third, called Company of Thieves, was out of this world. So definitely look them up. Anyways, the PWT came on, and I was nothing but satisfied. Interaction and humor with the audience, and a good selection of music, I would highly recommend them to everyone.

only knew a couple of their hits and wished I knew more of their material. The show was excellent, but the sound at the Culture Room in Ft Laud, FL started off weak and improved through the concert. I have since picked-up both CD's and am very impressed with the band.

The Plain White T's concert was exactly what you expect. Lots of fun songs, lots of accoustic songs for the ladies, alot of crowd participation. It was in no way disappointing, but if you thought it would be anything different than this you were wrong.

I went to the show because I was a bit curious. I had not really heard anything other that the huge radio hits. However, the price was right & my friend wanted to go . I was nervous that this might be a teeny bop band, but I was trying to keep an open mind. Both opening acts were GOOD! I actually went on to I-tunes and downloaded "company of thieves". By the time the T's came on I was in a good mood, but those boys made me sooooo much happier! WHAT GOOD MUSICIANS & NICE GUYS!!!! I was complety impressed an soooo pleasentsly supprized @ the quality of the music live. It is much more impressive than it is on disc. I was already converted to a Big fan when they came out & did an acoustic set. That sealed the deal for me!!! I LOVE THE PLAIN WHITE T'S!!!!! I would gladly see them again!

Had a great time! the band was amazing live they sound the same as on record... and they added some fun covers... we had a great time they signed some things in the middle of their set and even sang happy birthday to someone! The crowd was pretty young but not troublesome! Great show!! definitely recommended!

My wife, two boys and I went to this event that involved three other groups before Plain White T's took the stage. The first band whose name the band did not even mention had a heavy metal sound to them. Their name was not worth mentioning. The drummer was out of place by stripping down to his boxers at a "family friendly event". Day's Difference, the second band, demonstrated much potential. As my wife said, they had "star appeal". I agree. They interacted with the audience very well and were appropriate for this event. The third group, Company of Thieves, had a lot of spunk. The Plain White T's were more sophisticated than I anticipated. Like Days' Difference, these guys knew how to interact and entertain. My boys recently began play acoustic guitar, and this was a great group to which they could make this connection. When we discovered that they were switching venues, we decided to take our two boys. I glad we did. Nevetheless, we should not have showed up so early to see the early act. The boys were a little tired by time we got to the T's. I appreciated the clean cut simplicity of the group. The acordian was a delight to hear. My wife and I are looking forward to their return to Nashville in the Fall at the Ryman. Now that will be a great atmosphere.

Too many kids. The show would've rocked if it was held at another venue. There were not enough people to fill up the place. However, overall the show was exceptional. Company of Thieves were phenonmenal!!! Plain White T's were equally good but their show would've been better with an energetic crowd of fans.

Jim and I shared a table with a family from Indiana. Yes, they drove that far for their beautiful young lady to reward her for a job well done in school! They and We had the best time at this music show! The band was terrific and the venue excellent! Tho I have to say this: when will people ever learn manners at public events? If you want to stand and be within arm's length of the band?.....get on the floor in front of the stage! NOT in front of the people at their tables. Luckily, Jim was able to convince the man blocking the little girl's view...to stand elsewhere. Thank you Plain White T's and Newport for a fun, affordable and awesome concert!

The Plain White T's never disappoint. In addition to being a great band, they are great entertainers. As for the Paradise Rock Club, the venue is so intimate that you can't help but have a great view. The opening act was Move Out West, a band from Hartford. I enjoyed their music, but what I really liked was the second opening act. The duo The Wind and The Wave (out of Austin) have been touring with the T's. They are excellent! You need to check them out!

The Plain White T's were actually my little brother's favorite band. I wanted to surprise him with the concert, so I bought tickets for the whole family to go together, and I ended up becoming a huge fan myself. Ridiculously good show, and the theater (El Rey) was the perfect venue. It was standing room only, and we were 3 feet from Tom!!! What an unforgettable night:) Great show, "Body Parts" made me cry, and all in all it would have been worth 3x what the ticket cost to see them! AMAZING

I had never been to the Fine Line Music Cafe and this definitely made a good first impression! I've loved the Plain White T's for a long time but had never seen them live so I was totally unsure what to expect... I wasn't disappointed! The first band was a little rough but Parachute definitely had it together. Then when it got to the Plain White T's I was blown away! They are so FINE!! Plus, their new album is unreal. It was amazing to be standing so close to them, I was probably 5 feet away from Tim ;) The only thing I would've changed is the crowd. It seemed like not too many people were really getting into it... they were a little to reserved for my taste.

The concert was INCREDIBLE, this was my first Plain White T's concert and I'm glad that this was my first because it was the BEST first time EVER! The cost of the concert was very affordable. I saw every single member of the group life size plus they walked right out the front door and took pictures. The concert was a gift for my little brother and he had a great time and a chance to shake hands with the lead singer (Tom Higginson)!!!! He had a GREAT time and i had an INCREDIBLE time! Tom Higginson knows how to work a crowd of teenagers - the band saved their signature song for next to last. He held the mike out to the audience and a sold out show of tweens and teens delighted us with the song, Delilah. I hope they meant it when they said they were coming back to Florida as I know I'll have a truckload of dreamy eyed girls wanting to go again. I respect this band for turning out great music without peppering the lyrics with profanity. Definitely suitable for young teens and adults alike.

So once we got over the poor signage and confusing directions to get from the parking lot to the venue, the rest was awesome. Ive yet to see a concert at the event center, but the small intimate environment was awesome. Ive been a fan of Plain White Ts for many years, but havent seen them live unfotunately. Now ive been to no less than 200 concerts and must say this was one of the best. They engaged the audience and just had fun. Not to mention the fact their live performamce was as good as a recording. Ive been to too many performances where autotuning just cant help.

Since this was supposed to be a big, hometown show, I expected more. Instead, there were 2 opening acts and when Plain White It's finally came out, they kept bringing out the other bands to sing with them, so you hardly heard the band on their own. My poor rating is not reflective of the bands performance, rather, it's based on the staff of the Dow event center. Inclement weather forced a delay in getting into the outdoor arena and I, my daughter and about 20 other people decided to sit through the thunderstorm as we were the first in line to get in. Even though we we're standing on public property, the staff continuously threatened us with cancelling our tickets if we did not go inside the indoor arena across the street. We waited 3 hours to get in and at no time were we given any notice if the concert was cancelled or not. The staff seemed extremely annoyed to even be there let alone answer any questions. Would gladly see the band again but not at that venue. Will not spend my money on that place again.

Plain White T's are a tight band with great harmonies, strong musicality and they write catchy pop tunes. Whoever was mixing their sound must have a hearing problem as the bass was mixed so loud that on many of the first 5 songs, it was hard to hear the vocals. Since the vocals are the bands strongest aspect, that seems like a poor idea.

I fell in love with a band from California that I had never heard of called Tommy and the High Pilots. They were the opener and amazing probably the best opener I have ever seen. Then the Plain white T's came on and they were okay. They put on a great show and sing wonderfully. Then Parachute came on and everyone went crazy! I tend to love any show at Paradise. They are well priced and the shows are small and pretty intimate. I feel like I am not lost in the crowd and that they band can actually see me amongst the other fans! The opening two bands even stuck around after their sets and chatted with people and the Wind and the Wave gave out free copies of their album. It seemed like a smaller than normal crowd which may be a bit disappointing to the band but it was nice as a fan because it made the show that much more special. I am not a huge fan or follower of the Plain White T's, though I have always liked their music. So, when I saw that they were going to be in Atlantic City while we were there, I jumped at the chance to see them. I was simply amazed to find that the tickets were only $10.50 each! A great deal for an evening of entertainment from such a well known group. The Band was excellent, the venue was small and intimate, but unfortunately the audience nearly ruined the concert for everyone. The majority of concert goers here seemed almost rude with their lack of enthusiasm. There was very little sincere applause or appreciation shown for the band and their musical efforts. I was embarrassed for the entire crowd as I watched the band struggle to get this small crowd pumped up. At one point the group even admitted to the crowd that this was the worst they had encountered on this tour. Apologies to the Plain White T's for Atlantic City's reception! I am not from AC, thank goodness!

Plain White T's is my son's favorite band...his 14th birthday is coming up... he'd never been to a concert before... What a perfect storm! He asked me beforehand, "what makes seeing a band live so special?" I responded that, "You're about to find out." And did he ever! The El Rey is a small venue...maybe only a few hundred people, so everyone is up close and personal. All the other bands were very good also and my son was rocking out to them. He even caught a guitar pick from The Summer Set. But...when the Plain White T's came out... his eyes got big and he was in AWE! It was so cool to see his face light up. He sang every single song at the top of his lungs. Then afterwards, when they announced that if you bought their new CD, they'd be having a meet and greet, my son definitely wanted to go. He was thrilled to meet the band and have them sign his CD. Tim and Tom were especially great when I told them that they were his favorite band, it was his first concert and his birthday, Tom engaged him in a nice conversation about his first concert, told him happy birthday and shook his hand; Tim wished him happy birthday, thanked him for coming out, and gave him a high 5. Needless to say, this has made me the coolest mom EVER! Can't wait for their next stop in Los Angeles!

too many opening bands, but they were all good. Have only one or two opening bands, and have headliner play much longer. Also an encore would be nice. We'd prefer to have more seats where we could sit (not stand) to see the band. No need to keep balcony closed!

This really exceeded my expectations, and I was anticipating a good show! The opening acts were outstanding. I'd never heard of them before but would go to see any of them on their own. Plain White T's set was real heavy on their new album, which is to be expected, but since I wasn't as familiar with those songs I would have liked more of the older ones. Minor gripe though, since me and everyone I took were entertained start to finish. The staff at the Bluebird were very cool and helpful. The bar had fast service and decent prices. The venue is great with good sound and cozy festival-seat atmosphere. The men's bathroom was pretty nasty but that may have been a one-off since I've never been there before.

All the bands kicked butt but we, my daughter and I, were there to see the Summer Set and they kicked butt. Parking was kind of a pain but overall it was a good concert. Enjoyed the whole evening.

Since it was a Sunday night we got a great place to stand a few feet from the stage. The energy was super high, both of the crowd and the Plain White T's which made the show even more exciting! I'd never seen the group perform live before and I was completely impressed with how tight they are as a group of musicians, both instrumentally and vocally. I had such a great time that I'm heading to Madison in a couple weeks to check them out again:) The Fine Line Cafe is a fabulous venue for seeing live music. Loved it!!!

We had a great time at both the concert and the Hard Rock casino. The employees that work at the casino are all happy and more than willing to answer any and all questions. The venue is nice and state of the art. We sat in the balcony...which for this show was the only way to sit...the other option was standing room only. The seats were comfy and big, cup holders supplied, and a very friendly waitress who never let our cup run dry kept us happy all night. No matter where you are your seats are great! The Plain White T's are a great group. They were friendly, played up to the crowd, and had an awesome lineup of songs. The only think that I would say was a low note was that we did not know we could bring our 15 yr old with us...which is what we wanted to do. On the ticketmaster site there is a note that the venue is 21 and up...with no other note. Once we got there we noticed a lot of teens with their parents. Plain White T's is the PERFECT group the whole family! I asked one of the casino employees and he gladly explained that anyone under 21 has to be accompanied by an adult. Wish we had known that. But, we'll be able to bring him next time.

Enjoyed the entire experience. Had never been to a concert a Hardrock, and I must say it was a great place for a band like Plain White T's. Never been to see them live but have listened to their music for a few years. Bunch of talented guys with beautiful harmonies.

Admittedly, I am a PWT's fan but they were truly amazing. All of the opening bands were great too. The T's put on such a great show and the small-ish venue really helped. It was such a wonderful, personal touch when Tom H. sang alone at the back of the crowd, it even gave me (not a teeny-bopper) goosebumps. He sang Delilah and the crowd sang along. I am over 30 and have seen them before and enjoyed this show even more than the last one a couple of years ago. They really give their all and the performance always shows it. The vocals are phenomenal, the energy is high and the songs are both musical, energetic and touching. I would highly recommend this show. If you're not already a PWT's fan, you WILL be after seeing them.

I arrived at 6 pm as it was stated on the ticket as event start - 6 pm was door opening. After 45 min without live music (only from an ipod), I decided that the evening was to valuable for a boring family event with closed curtains while outside the sun was shining. There were at least 2 or 3 pre-groups, so I estimated an earliest start of the band at 9 pm. Pretty sucky!!! Where was the concert management? Planned by kids?

We had an awesome time at the concert! Parachute was amazing and the Plain White T's were spectacular. The venue was a bit small with the sound island being too close to the stage, but other than that, it was perfect! I hope they come back soon.

I LOVED this concert. Each band played a lot of songs, and they each interacted with the crowd. Parachute's lead singer even came into the crowd. Plain White T's played all of my favorite songs too!

Had never seen the Plain White T's before, so I didn't have expectations. I was surprised at how good they were live. They really don't talk much, they only explained a couple of songs, but the music was great.

I really enjoyed Andy Grammer and Parachute. They definitely made my $30 worth it. However, the main act, Plain White T's weren't so great.

Plain White T's was awesome! They played a lot from their newest album, so it was good to be familiar with that! They interacted well with the crowd and they just had a style/way about them that I enjoy (like Snow Patrol meets Coldplay!)

When me and my boyfriend walked in we had a blast of excitement. The stage set up, was very creative and their performance exceeded the crowd attention. This band is wonderful with crowd and fan communication. I can't wait to see them once again for the third time. How can you forget about the way the sound live, they were just wonderful.
