I knew it was going to be a memorable evening, but these two gentlemen @ this particular venue; exceeded my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised with the winery, the service, the atmosphere and the shows...every seat is a great seat also. I loved it and had a wonderful time!

Kenny G was great! There should of been more of Michael Bolton. Could have sang more of his hits! One song Micheal sung he wasn't even on stage until it was almost over.

Kenny was as usual, amazing!!!!! He puts on a very good concert. Love how he starts the concert by playing within the audience.....He can hold a note like no other artist can. I do wish he was on for longer. 1 1/2 hours just isn't enough time. Micheal also put on a good show. His surprise guests were also great. and his new sax player was fantastic... Again, not enough time.

Kenny G was amazing. I felt Micheal Bolton could have stay on stage more. I felt that I did not get my monies worth with his performance. I seemed to hear as much from the band as him. I really enjoyed the performance of the two together.

This was the first time for my wife and I to be at The Beacon Theater. Loved it and loved the sound system. Was surprised that Kenny G opened up, he was great. Intermission was too long. Michael Bolton did not sing enough of his hits. And no encore ? Concert ended too abrubtly at 11:00. We expected the two of them to perform at least one song togehter

Kenny G was amazing - great musician and played to the crowd. Michael Bolton has not aged well. Voice is fading, musical selection was poor - and no crowd interaction.

I may be a little biased in this review because of specific events that happened to ME at the concert, but I will say it was a really enjoyable concert. I happened to be the raffle winner who received an onstage serenade and a brand new soprano saxophone. Needless to say, I will never forget the evening! Unbeknownst to me, however, as I was racing up the aisle and onto the stage, my friend who accompanied me to the concert was spoken to very rudely by a security person, which I really need to take issue with. Two things: first, how could he NOT allow my friend to digitally record a moment so special? And second, there was NO house announcement that picture-taking or video recording was prohibited. On a separate subject, I thought Michael Bolton was fantastic, and the special guests were a really nice surprise. However, as I am a classically trained singer and music teacher, I reallllly wished he hadn't done Nessun Dorma. His voice is trademarkedly raspy and tight and has a very pop quality to it. This does not transfer to classical repertoire. And his Italian diction was atrocious. But all that being said, I just wish he had simply stuck to what he does best - soulful, raspy ballads and upbeat tunes.

Kenny G needs to do more homework. He opened the show with 10 minutes of showing off his playing abilities (playing scales and other sax tricks).. and his breathing abilities (he can play AND inhale at the same time) with some God awful sounds at a decibel level that may have been necessary at his last gig (A North Carolina stadium) but unfit for an accoustical theater such as the Beacon in NYC and worse, he was out of sight to half the audience!!! When he finally got to the stage where we could SEE him, he did play some of his awesome music. Near the end of his performance he very nicely gave away a Sax.. but he asked people to go to the lobby to enter into drawing. Well thanks a lot. NO one in the balcony was climbing back down 3 flights of stairs to enter a drawing. Michael Bolton was good.. (but he too decided to do some singing out of sight of the full balcony).. His rendition of 'THe Prayer' with Delta Goodrem (of Bocelli fame) was good.. but not up to Celine Dion and Boccelli.. or even Groban. . And I could have happily done without Orianthi Panagaris playing her jazz electric guitar.. lol pure noise to someone who doesn't like jazz. Despite these things I've mentioned, there we definitely enough excllent music to warrant seeing the show.

Two world class performers, thought there would be a bigger turn out. Totally enjoyed the show. Both performers got up close with the audience. Between the fantastic performances and the marriage propossal by an audience member, it was a memorable evening.

M. Bolton and Kenny G. are just as great as they were when I saw them 21 years ago. Only thing I would change is eliminate the musicians solos which seemed to go on and on forever.

Was alittle confusions to begine with because the staff kept re-routing you around inside. Some the staff wasn't very friendly, to the point of being rude. As for Kenny G, great preformance. Michael Bolton could have sang more. Thought the drawing was fixed, just to obivous, but Congrats to the couple on their engagement.

The concert from beginning to end was spellbinding. At the beginning, Kenny G appeared at the end of our row and played for what seemed like forever!!! :-) Near the end, when Michael Bolton appeared at the OTHER end of our row...only 4 seats away from us:-) !!!!....and sang "When a Man Loves a Woman," that was worth quadruple the price of the tickets! As a LONG time Michael Bolton fan, that moment was PRICELESS! Having never seen KG in concert before, my husband and I were so impressed by his personable style on stage....almost as if he were in your home talking to you and playing just for you. He was a consummate entertainer. As a longtime fan of his, we were thrilled to see this side of him and to enjoy the music of this gifted man. We attended Michael Bolton's last concert in Fayetteville, and it was so wonderful to have him back again. We were disappointed in the turnout but attributed the poor attendance to summertime and vacations. This concert was a major highlight of all the ones that we have attended at The Crown! PLEASE bring both of them back!!

People continue to call him one of the greatest. He;s just a guy with a saxaphone. Yes, he can play...he's not exceptional. He is NOT Jazz, he is POP. Will give him credit for his Christmas CD's. The rest is just fluff.

Kenny G is one of the most gracious performers I have seen in a long time. He was at a tent greeting concert goers as we entered Wente. He was personally autographing his CD's for purchase. Chatting with everyone, very comfortable being with the public. He began his segment of the concert in the audience playing his first song. He continued to stroll amoungst the audience while he played. You felt like you were in a small jazz club, it was very intimate. He also raffled off one of his own saxaphone's and played a song to the person on stage with the winning sax. Truly a class act. It took 30 minutes however for Michael Bolton to begin his performance after Kenny G finished. They did some stage changing but not enough to warrant a 30 minute wait for the audience. By the time Michael Bolton came on, it was getting late, after 10:00 pm. Michael's voice is still amazing and he performed many of his wonderful classics. My only pet peeve during the Michael Bolton concert was that he kept leaving the stage. He took far too many breaks and we were left listening to his other band members perform. They were all very accomplished muscians in their own right, but let's face it, we paid to watch Michael Bolton and he was MIA many times through out his 1 hour performance. All and all it was a lovely warm night at Wente and the hosts were wonderful as was the music. I would recommend seeing both of these talented men in the future and I'm glad I went.

Michael Bolton singing was just as hot as ever and Kenny G was also great, the sound system at Wente was not good and the bass bounced off my chest and I could feel it all the way to my bones. We had to move from our seats to prevent ear damage. I wanted to hear more clearly, but even after we moved, I had to wear ear buds and even still my ears are still ringing. Wente needs to do something about their speakers. I gave the entertainers a great rating but not Wente's sound system.

Kenny G was both 5 stars as an entertainer and musician. Michael was 3 stars and 4 stars respectively. I think the latter was influenced by not getting on stage until 10pm and 15-20% of the crowd exiting around 11pm...he had to see this. I would start the concert earlier, so Michael can get on stage by 930.

Went to the Michael Bolton/Kenny G concert pretty excited to see Michael Bolton. Turns out Kenny G was very entertaining - I like him much more than I had expected to. However, not sure what was up with Michael B! Sang 3-4 songs, left the stage and let the band and percussion play a long song. Came back, sang a couple more songs, left again and let the pianist play. Came back and pretty much did his encore. Such a short and disappointing performance by Michael B.

My first time to see both Kenny G and Michael Bolton was an amazing adventure. First off...Kenny G is standing next to me at the sound mixer. The show begins from there and he stops and plays to different sections of the audience...what a great way to make everyone feel a "part" of the show! He sustains that long note on his sax (over two minutes) and later explains how he accomplishes this feat. Humor abounds and I didn't expect this...he told us he was "cold" and had hand warmers in both pockets and so if we saw him frequently putting his hands in his pockets and "smiling alot"...that he was merely warming his hands! He also was giving away one of his own saxophones and told us to buy tickets for a chance to win the sax and be his best friend...for at least 3 minutes! We should also keep drinking wine as Michael Bolton wouldn't sing until we were at all a least a bit drunk! So went the evening...great music and great humor for 1 hour 15 min. Then a break and Michael Bolton appeared...in great voice...and appearance! I was amazed that he can play the guitar and he changed his outfit three times. A long concert indeed (nearly 3 hours with intermission) so you really got your monies worth! Would I go again to see them? You bet!

Kenny G was absolutely incredible!!! His band was amazing and they were incorporated into his show so well. Kenny G playing his saxophone was amazing. Most definitely a show I would see again! 5 stars! Michael Bolton was enjoyable. For someone who didn't really recognize the songs it was still pretty good. If I was rating his performance alone it would probably be 4 stars. He didn't really incorporate his band much, but he did play many different genres of music which was a nice change of pace.

It has been 21 years since I have seen Kenny G live. He is just as amazing as he was 21 years ago. I have seen Michael Bolton 8 or 9 times live. He still is "The voice" and he hasn't lost a beat. My only complaint was that he didn't sing enough of his "hits". His duets with Delta really were the highlight of the evening. She can be compared to Celine Dion. She is beautiful and has the voice of an angel!! I wish that Kenny G and Michael Bolton would have done a couple of songs together.........Georgia and Missing You Now (come to mind).

I know it is easy listening, but I would like to be entertained a bit more. The coolest thing was Mr. Powell on percussion for Kenny G. Bolton can sing - no question, but a bit boring. Loved the encore though - U2 hit "In the Name of Love". Seats were not that good and I'm not talking about the area - too many obstructions w/ rails from our seats and people standing in front of you at the rails. Very dissapointing!

Kenny G was GREAT! - energetic; personable, interacted with the audience and gave us his all! He autographed his CDs before the show and even during intermission. Michael Bolton was the opposite - his voice flat and gone, lacked energy, changed his clothes more than Cher, hardly sang any of his songs (hits or otherwise), NO interaction with the audience and NO encore! His performance ended abruptly! Would have been nice for Kenny G and Michael Bolton to interact with each other; but nothing. Each had their own segment - :o(

Michael Bolton never fails his fans nor does he fail to amaze me with his talent and the incredibler musicians that he has in his band. He just gets better every time I get to see and hear him perform. He has added several pieces from his new Gems album and we were lucky to hear Delta Goodrem, Orianthi and of course Michael Lington.
