Five R & B performers together singing a mix of classic Christmas Music and their personal hits. The venue is small and intimate; their voices were large and powerful. Plan to make this a yearly event

I loved the show it really put me in the Christmas spirit which is hard because we live in south Florida and we don t have seasons. Although we know it s the holidays by it being so warm we tend to down play Christmas so having this concert really puts you on the mood.. Peabo Bryson and Ruben Studdred was awesome !! Jodi Watley was good and Marilyn Mccoo and Billy Davis was bringing back old memories for my mom who also enjoyed the concert!! Will attend again if it comeback!

Excellent vocals. Peabo was the consummate professional performing in an inadequate venue to a sparce crowd. He sounds as good or better than he did 30 years ago. Loved it. Loved his commitment to excellence throughout the show.

Enjoyed Peabo's performance! He put on a memorable show. At times, the music was louder than the voices. The performer's voice should be the highlight of the show.

This event was held at McFarlin Auditorium on SMU campus in Dallas, which also happened to be NBA All Star Week-end and the biggest snowstorm in 100 years in north Texas. As a result of the weather, the concert was not well attended. Only the loyal Peabo fans showed up. . The opening act was followed by a 45 minute wait for which there was no explanation. Somewhat disappointing. However when Peabo came on stage, all was forgiven as he did his usual fine job of beautiful melodies, all the old standards, including 'Feel the Fire' and his wonderful new release 'Missing You.' He is truly a showman. I had front row seats, was with my sweetness who garnered for me one of the Peabo trademark roses. So at the end of the day, I was a happy. girl.

Pebo Bryson and Regina Bell were great. JB did not do a good show this time. We were expecting more of his popular songs. We saw him previously with Dave Koz and he was great then. This time, however, we were disappointed.

Peabo and Regina were amazing.... Where is this kind of love these days. This is real music. Listening to Peabo gave me chills. It's a real shame I can't get this level of music out of my generation. I think I was born in the wrong era.... I could listen to them sing all day everyday. High high recommend this event!!!!

This show was awesome! I could have watched Jonathan Butler, Regina Belle, and Peabo Bryson perform for hours. They are each legendary in their own right! You know their voices were God-given because they sounded just like they did years ago. Voices are strong! The venue was nice as well. I would attend another event there in the future.

It was so good to go to a show and have the performer sound exactly as they do on their album!!! I am a huge Jazmine Sullivan fan and actually came to just see her, as a lot of the crowd did. She did songs from fearless and her new album reality show. She needs to be headlining a tour back to Hampton Roads, Virginia real soon!! Not a good show. All he did is talk about himself and walk around the stage with his back to us mostly. Also, the sound system was terrible, distorted the sounds, and was way too loud. Some of us had our hands over our ears and put ear pugs in.

James Jamerson Jr, the son of original Funk Brother bassist James Jamerson, as well as Peabo Bryson and Leela James, the featured vocalists, came to Washington,DC Friday. They played a 2 hour Motown set that showcased Jamerson's bass prowess. Songs included Shotgun, My Girl, Function At The Junction, Don't Mess With Bill, It's A Shame, I'll Try Something New, and many more. Everyone was exceptional-the only complaint is they didn't introduce everyone. If you love Motown you will definitely enjoy this show!!!!!!!!!

Although we have heard Jonathan Butler on the radio and love his music, there is NO comparison to seeing and especially hearing him live! Visually on point, but he and the band that supported his amazing vocals gave you "eargasms". We immediately began grabbing his music after the show! #LifetimeFan! Regina Bell (who replaced the legendary Roberta Flack) and Peabody Bryson were just OK.

I am so glad my friend girl & I went. I really enjoyed it. My Mom listened to Fifth Dimension when I was a little girl. I might of embarrassed my friend by singing Age of Aquarius & a few of the others by Marllyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. Jody Whatley took me back to my high school days, Rubin Studdard took me back to when he was on American Idol. Of course Peabo Bryson just took me. I had an Amazing time. I don't understand why it wasn't sold out. There was not enough advertising to my knowledge....the venue was half empty.too bad..

In addition to being disorganized and discombobulated, the concert seemed unrehearsed. Security at entrance was obtrusive, and individuals conducting searches were disrespectful...we felt manhandled and mistreated! The ONLY POSITIVE was being able to listen to the smooth and pleasing voice of Peabo Bryson.....still remarkable after all these years. He's truly amazing!! As for the rest of the show, it was disappointing, with too much talking and rambling by the other musical guests. Too bad as we are big fans of Peabo Bryson!!

I always look forward to the Colors of Christmas concerts and this year did not disappoint. Had a wonderful time with the same group of friends that go every year. Had only one issue, the intermission was too long, don't remember it being this length of time in previous concerts. I felt like the entertainers, had time for a clothing change, potty break, snack and possibly a cat nap. All in all, will go again and again as these concerts definitely add to my celebration of the Christmas season.

On Saturday October 21, 2017 I went to the Peabo Bryson concert in Warren, Michigan. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland. I drove 8.5 hours for this concert and was dissatisfied. I paid for 2 tickets at $75 each. My tickets state the concert starts at 8pm. I was seated by 7:30. The concert did not start until 8:50!! The EmCee comes to the mic at 8:40, plays a video of coming attractions for 5 minutes, and then gives away tickets to some of them. By the time Peabo Bryson comes on it is 8:50. Once he starts to perform it is great but I notice that he is only singing one verse to many of his songs and then cutting them off. He ended the concert at 10:15. I take it for granted that if he starts even close to on time (8 to 8:15) he can give a full 2 hour performance. He can sing more of his songs and/or more verses to the songs he is singing. He gave a great performance however for the price I paid I expected more. Starting 50 minutes past the 8pm ticket time I believe is worth a $20 per ticket refund. I was there on time. The parking was $5 and the food was not that great. The service was bad. It took 45 minutes just to get a Pepsi. I drove 8.5 hours to this concert. I paid for 2 nights at the Marriott in Troy, Michigan. I drove 8.5 hours to get home on Sunday. I had no other reason to go there except for this performance and I believe I received less than what I paid for. The concert itself was great. At 66 Peabo still has the pipes even though i noticed he wasn't carrying the notes as long as he used to. Peabo sang at least a fifth of the concert in the audience. He was singing to the women in the audience and allowing them to take selfies at the same time. I could have sworn at least 2 of them were going to have an orgasm while he was singing to them. It was right out of The Five Heartbeats. His performance gets 5 stars. The venue gets 2 for bad service and very late start time. Overall it was worth the time and effort.

Peabo Bryson blew us away with his amazing vocals. His vocal ability seems to have gotten stronger over the years, and he seems to have gotten even better over the years, if that's even possible! I took my 74-year-old mom to the concert, who has never been very fond of Peabo Bryson. After the concert, she was grinning like a Cheshire cat, saying that she was now officially a Peabo fan. Johnathan Butler and Regina Belle were the cherries on the sundae that topped off the event. All three artists put on a phenomenal show, and I would eagerly go out and purchase tickets to see all again!

Regina Belle & Jonathan Butler were outstanding! Although (I suspect due to time constraints) Mr. Butler did not sing his big hit lies. Peabo on the other...His voice clear and flawless! However his selection with songs to sing was highly questionable. With all of the magical hits within his resume he chose to sing songs popularized by Sting and Donnie Hathaway.???? He decided not to sing Reaching for the SKY, We don't have to talk about Love or even Beauty and the Beast to name a few. ????

This was one of the most amazing shows that I have ever seen . The opening act started off slowly but quickly got into the groove with ole school music and their own stuff . Peabo came on slowly and finished with his signiture love balads, a duet with Ms. Denisee Williams and the powerful " A Whole New World " which was so fitting for the open air arena . There were a few slight rain drops at intervals of the event which gave the evening that special GOD-like quality . We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .

PEABO BRYSON came out singing and everyone stood up and it was Showtime. He looked awesome he sounds better than ever, I mean better than CDs and Videos. Fine wine with age just gets better with time and PEABO BRYSON was a FINE AGED WINE. DENIECE WILLIAMS sounded great and looked even better because the both of them gave us a show. They had on STAGE CLOTHING (after five attire) not worthy of our ticket price and much, much more than our ticket price, that is the reason I go every year to at least one or two a shows every season. The opening act (Framework) was a DC group of former members' of 70's groups, i.e. Heatwave and other bands. The female members were really good singers especially the female lead out front. The musicians of the group put the FUNK on every song that they played. From the beginning when they played songs from their new CD that is out now to their re-makes of Alicia Keys' current hit and a DC favorite Ain t Leavin without You by Jaheim, where everyone there stood up and got their dance on. The female lead introduced all the members, mostly from the DC/Maryland area. They had very well played solos and were off. There was one thing I didn't like Peabo and Deniece sang a duet together and he left. She sang Amazing Grace with music, just her amazing voice. She then sang her songs, another duet and she left. I'm O'L SKOOL (opening act, 2 billed and then star of show). That's all I'm saying.

Peabo Bryson and Deniece Williams were great! Superb singing by both and when they sang together..................It was electrifying! They demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with. I screamed like a fool when they sang the theme from Aladin. Peabo Bryson worked the crowd like a pro and I enjoyed it when he came off of the stage and "worked the audience." Framwork was an excellent "warm-up" group. I loved everything they sang except for the Rapper who looked out of place. I wish them well and continued success.

It was fantastic. They both sound like they did back in the day. I enjoyed Peabo's background singers. Their voices were good and they coordinated the dance moves. it was nice to see. Folks don't do that much anymore. Framework was good also.

Peablo's voice is still incredable. I was a little disappointed in Deniece Williams. The opening band was fantastic. We had a great time.

Peabo Bryson is the bomb. If you are a true Peabo fan, you will not be disappointed. I am a Deniece Williams fan, but I have to admit her voice is not what it used to be. Though she still can blow somewhat, she has lost some of her high octave skills. But, it was Peabo's concert (she was just a guest), so I still give the overall concert the highest marks.

The show was incredible as it s outside so you always fear that rain, but from the Opening Act (Framework) to the performance of Peabo & Deniece Williams it was TOP RATE SHOW…Both Peabo & Deniece still have their Fine Tuned God Given Vocal Talents……If Peabo didn t sound just like he did in the 70 s, 80 s & 90 s and clear, perfect pitch better than record!! Peabo and Deniece intertwined more than about Deniece opening for him as she was like the relief if you will and did he open up her set with A-capella God Is Amazing as she did live at Grammy s back in 1990…She Still one if not the best high Octave Range Vocalist as her and Minnie were & always will be legendary for ability to hit Bird Like Notes. She didn t do Silly , but it was Peabo Show with Nicey added in for duets & just musical memory lane…It was GREAT & WONDERFUL SHOW if ever in DC or Any city nearby worth it to them again

I thought the concert was excellent. Peabo Bryson still has s gifted voice after all these years. He hasn't lost a step, on the other side I was a bit disappointed with Deniece Williams due to the fact that she did not sing a few songs that to me a lot of people were waiting for but she did O,K. My girlfriends point was that she felt that Peabo and Deniece could have sung some of the songs that Deniece and Johnny Mathias recorded together.

I wasn't feeling well before I went to the concert. That concert was a big surprise. It was the best I've seen this summer.

PEABO AS ALWAYS SOUNDED AT THE TOP OF HIS GAME, HE ENGAGED THE AUDIENCE AND MADE EVERYONE FEEL RIGHT AT HOME, HIS DUETS WITH DENISE WILLIAMS WERE WONDERFUL, AS SHE WAS. HE DIDN'T GET A CHANCEF TO SING A LOT OF HIS OLDER MATERIAL, BUT WHAT HE DID SING WAS DONE MASTERFULLY. DENISE WILLIAMS SOUNDED SURPISINGLY GOOD AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, BUT SHE COULD HAVE SUNG MORE OF HER HITS, (SILLY), BUT THE INTERACTON BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM WAS ELECTRIC.

superb performance by two vets who've still got the touch and the voices are still like fine tuned instruments. They have taken care of themselves and perserved thier God Given Talent.

Excellent show. It was so good seeing the both of them together, I just wish they performed solo a little more. The show just wasn't long enough.

I HAVE SEEN MANY ARTISTS IN MY LIFE. INCLUDING CELINE, MARIAH, ANDREA BOCELLI, ETC. PEABO WAS IN THE TOP THREE EVER! WHAT AN AMAZING POWERFUL VOICE. WITH THE RIGHT SONG WRITERS THIS MAN COULD EASILY FILL UP THE UNITED CENTER IN CHICAGO. EVEN MY YOUNGER 26 YEAR OLD SON AND HIS FIANCE' WERE STUNNED BY PEABO'S VOICE. THANK YOU PEABO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peabo Bryson was fantastic! We were interested primarily because of his work with The Walt Disney Company in Beauty & The Beast and Aladdin. Peabo did A Whole New World for his encore which made our evening. A majority of the songs we were not familiar with but there is no denying his singing chops. A beautiful show that was well worth the money in a venue that is second to none in MIlwaukee in my opinion. I guess the only thing I could complain about if anything was the fact that the second grammy song Beauty & The Beast was not performed. If you have two grammys I would include them both in every performance. When a song receives a grammy you can trust that your audience will always want to here it. Go and see Peabo if you get the opportunity. He is the consumate entertainer!

Peabo's performance was incredible. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed by the 1 and a 1/2 hour late start for his performance. The concert was schedule to begin at 8pm, the doors opened after 8. I was ready to request my money back for the tickets. The opening acts were okay. His niece was his lifesaver. I fell asleep waiting for him to take the stage. Overall, he was great. I wish he would have sang more of his classics.

The event was advertised as a Motown music extravaganza. It was a far cry from that. With just a few exceptions, the songs were was is known as the "B" songs from the artists. I recognized the names of the original artists but not the songs. The advertisement led us to believe that Peabo Bryson and Leela James would be singing famous Motown songs all night. That did not happen. Many of the numbers were sung by the back up duo who had great voices, but we did not even know who they were. There was an obvious lack of rehearsals for the event. Both Peabo and James Jamerson, Jr. had to read a lot of their background information lines. The song "hear come the judge" was a real dud originally and at the concert. The musicians played well, but they were playing songs that were not well known at all.

Really misrepresented....not a Motown review but a James Jameson tribute.

The Wilber sound system isn't great -- loud but not bright. Not all the singers were as into it as you'd want. The "story line" of the Funk Brothers and Jamison Jr. was a weak dilution of the movie. But overall, it is a testimony to the power of the original music and our memories that the evening was fun.
