Shaun Johnson

From the beginning to the end through Shaun's bad cold (or virus), the entire time was exceptionally good. Each one of the band members were excellent and the audience was very appreciative. The little boy dancing in the first row was incredibly annoying since it was so constant throughout the entire show.

Shaun Johnson is an amazing artist. Very entertaining show. Extremely well done and was a wonderful show. It is always a pleasure to attend at the Ames center.

Shaun has a great voice and is a joy to hear and see perform. The musicians are very talented and you can tell they love to play. Saw them at the Ames Center - great venue and a special evening.

Very fun evening. Lots of energy and a variety of music - loved it! Mr. Johnson has a wonderful voice and the band was top notch. Enjoyed the light hearted interaction with the crowd. Would definitely see again and would recommend to any music lover.

Shaun and crew of Master Class musicians("The Fellas") rocked the Burnsville stage Monday night. There was something for everyone and Shaun's ability to connect with the audience made for an unforgettable evening. His velvet voice along with arrangements that are fresh, a band that is tight and a musical showcase of members whose talents range from the amazing piano man, a master percussionist that never lost a beat and a screamin trumpet player that hits notes that don't even exist, the audience was never disappointed. Just as impressive was the group's performance after the show. They hung around the lobby to greet the fans and clearly expressed their appreciation for the audience. A class act all the way around, hope they come back again!

Shaun used his talents superbly! Love how he gets the audience involved & acknowledges his band members for their talents! Would like to see them again after being a little more seasoned.

I cannot say enough good things about Shawn Johnson! He is very entertaining and very talented! I didn't want the concert to end :)

Shaun Johnson has out-done himself again! He has a great voice & on-stage presence that's fun to watch. I hope he does more of these shows in the future.

Both my husband and I enjoyed the show ! I liked how it was not just Christmas songs but a mixture of Christmas and crooner songs. We were not bored at all - Shaun kept the audience going throughout the show. It was a very relaxing evening.

Great show! Love the big band music style, and this was a phenomenal blend of that genre and Christmas music. Shaun Johnson is an amazing talent as were the band members. I didn't realize this was the very first show for the Big Band Experience, but they performed together as if with years of experience as a group. Well worth it, and loved that it was for charity. I highly recommend the show!

This show is a great mix of Shaun's vocal talent and the amazing band that he put together. The evening was upbeat and energetic with something for everyone. What a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit!

A thoroughly enjoyable Christmas repertoire. Although the group is new, each member is outstanding in their own right. Individually and together their sound brought the big band sound to life. Shaun Johnson is a showman, and knows how to work the crowd. I wouldn't mind less of the spastic movements, often meant to mimc Elvis, or the twirling. My favorites were the drummer, pianist and horn players. This was the perfect event to start the holiday with.

Very nice evening. Wish they would maybe mix it up a bit from year to year. When you go every year it seems too much like last years. But, Shaun Johnson is a wonderful singer and i will continue to go to this even if he would sing the exact same songs every year!

I was just blown away by the sound that came out of this band. They have a way to make you enjoy wonderful holiday music. The solos are not over the top. They are in fact a delight to listen to.

I purchased this event for my 85 year old father and friend. they had a great time. It was engaging, they danced, there was conductor audience banter that was playful.

Shaun Johnson's BBE is a must-see show. It's pure entertainment from the moment the show begins 'til the last song ends topped off by getting to meet/chat after the show with the nicest group of guys you'll ever meet!

Love it! As always Shaun has more engergy than ever! Thank you for a wonderful night out. Just have to share that we had no idea that it was a charity event. We would have invited friends etc. to join us instead of just date night out. Wish that -that part had better marketing on ticket master where we saw the event and purchased our tickets, but that said can not say enough about the great show and would attend again!

We took my husband's grandmother and mother thinking it would be fun for them, but it turned out to be a great time for all of us! Shaun was funny, interacted with the crowd, and was very talented with an amazing voice. All of the musicians were top notch. It was amazing. We were sad when the night ended!

When we bought our tickets, we had never heard of Shaun Johnson and didn't know what to expect. After attending his show, I will never miss another one when he's in the area. It was the best show we've experienced in at least the past two years. Simply amazing.

Started out a bit questionable but got better, very talented group . Not as polished as I would expect. Mainly in appearance of the band and set. Liked the conversation with the audience and group participation.

This was a fun, enjoyable concert if you like the Big Band sound. Not all Christmas music, but a nice variety. It put a new twist on some of the traditional songs. The band was great, wonderful musicians. Shaun has some rather quirky moves but that is his style. Overall, very good concert.

A wonderful mix of Big Band sounds not only pertaining to the Holidays but to original and broad ranged favorites. All of Shaun's musical talents were shared with his outstanding and experienced musicians. Lively, fun, memorable performances. Thank You All! We will see you next year.

BBE delivered a fresh, fast paced show that proves once again Big Band is Back and is as relevant today as it was when cats like Frank Sinatra were on the scene. Johnson and the Fellas, all of whom are masters of their craft, bring their own unique style and swagger to the stage and yet still pay homage to true big band form. The group is tight and the energy is contagious, with many moments that had the audience on their feet and their hands in the air. Crooner Johnson delivers a powerful version of Chicago and a tender moving performance of his new song What'll I do. The fellas take turns showing off their skills from the incredible drummer who never misses a beat to the trumpet man that screams like Maynard to the haunting, tender solo from the sax man on Joseph to the silky strings of the base player on Silver Bells, BBE has Big Band covered, a must see show!

The concert was so great! This was our second time seeing him and it was Even better. The band is fun, Shaun is funny and very I entertaining. He really is a must see. We liked that the whole concert was not just Christmas music but A variety. We all loved it my parents and my husband.

I have made this an annual event. In the midst of all the hustle and bustle, its a great stress breaker. Every musician brings something to the stage and Shaun Johnson has a massive stage presence. Also the fact that the profits go to organizations which help others is a plus! Looking forward to next years event.

Second year in a row seeing this concert and I didn't think they could out do last year, but they did. It was great. Very entertaining as well as fabulous music. Perfect mix of Christmas and old time.

It was wonderful. Saw last year too and enjoyed the show. Burnsville PAC is a great venue for all kinds of events.

I did not enjoy the concert. He started out by getting the audience singing along and then the man next to me felt this was ok for the other songs. If you are going to engage the audience do it towards the end. also If you advertise as a big band, have a big band. The sound was questionable with the speakers at times crackling. we left mid way I just didn't enjoy myself. The performing arts center was lovely

Wasn't sure what to expect- This was excellent! The band was amazing, Shaun was engaging and silky solid on vocals, and the set list was diverse - yet really put you in the Cristmas spirit.

The entire program was extraordinary. Shaun's voice was perfect and the band was also incredible. This show was the top one I've seen this season and I've been to four shows this season. I would recommend my friends to see Shaun in any venue he is in. Also, the Orpheum Theater is incredible. This was my first time there and I was very surprised to see just how nice a theater it is. Also, it made the show feel so intimate. Thank you for a very great night.

It was a great concert! Enjoyed it a bunch!!! Highly recommend for next year!!!

The Orpheum Theatre is a wonderful venue with great acoustics. The band was over powering for the venue as well as Shaun's presence. There were many times when the Singer's exemplary voice could not be heard. In addition, the production lacked organization. Song arrangement and Shaun could be more front forward with his music; perhaps with more confidence. There were moment of remarkable performance; the finish of the first set with Hallelujah was amazing. He needed to do more throughout the show. Overall, the show was worth the time and money. Three stars for now. I'd be willing to pay more for a bigger production featuring more of Shaun.

I have been a fan of Tonic Sol-fa since 1995 and was apprehensive of a solo, but was I ever wrong! Shaun shines during his big band experience. This isn't a run on a solo career but a fun time for a guy who doesn't have a lot of other commitments over the holiday season when he is off tour. LUCKY US! This concert is fun, entertaining, well put together, and WELL worth every penny spent on it!

This event was filled with great singing and great muscians. Even better, the event was for charity. These guys are great!

I was just amazed at the talent of the band and also of Shaun Johnson. I love how they integrated old standard classics with Christmas classics. I like the spin they put on each song, and each song felt like their own. The talent in that room was talent that should be seen in Xcel or Target Center.
