The Straits

I have been going to rock concerts for over 40 years. I can sum up my review in three words DON'T MISS THEM! This is a world class band. The musicians are outstanding to a man.

Awesome sound, incredible performance. One of the BEST live shows we've ever seen.

I drove from Birmingham and could not believe there was no crowd but to my our benefit . The show was fantastic and we had incredible general admission seats.

What a great show! Great musicians doing incredible songs! Reis has very similar vocal qualities to Knopfler and a similar finger picking style. Still, he puts his touch on the material. My girlfriend had a hard time taking her eyes of him as well. Band is tight!

Had the general public known who the Straits were ,and had Atlanta been informed by some P.R. in the media, the Variety would ,I am sure, have been packed . As it was, very little education produced very few people ; the few had a very special treat in store for them. Of course across the pond in England everyone, who packed the Albert Hall in London to full capacity ,knew that this was Dire Straits less Mark Knopfler ,and that his replacement was pretty useful with his raspy soft North Country brogue as well as his guitar work . This evening life was indeed "a box of chocolates"!

For those who missed The Straits on Wednesday March 19, the show was kick-ass. Terence Reis did justice to the great Mark Knopfler, and the band with former Dire Straits members Chris White and Alan Clark, showed their chops as true successors to the Dire Straits legacy. Sultans of Swing, Brothers In Arms, Telegraph Road, Private Investigations, Walk of Life, and Money for Nothing plus more were all there and delivered in an absolutely stunning performance reminiscent of Dire Straits at their very best. Awesome! Amazing! These guys rock! If you loved Dire Straits then The Straits will not disappoint.

I love Dire Straits and did not know what to expect, so this concert was such a marvelous surprise. We were on our feet clapping and cheering.

Excellent.. almost as good as the real thing, although I didn't like the way they played Brothers in Arms, but then maybe I am over critical as that has to be my favorite song

Was very impressed by all members of this terrific sounding band. Very happy to have seen them. Terence,Alan,Chris,Michael,Jamie,Adam and Andy are all awesome musicians and on top of their game. They appear to really love what they are doing.All the songs performed were superb and sounded perfect. Telegraph Road,Romeo, Private Investigations,Tunnel of love ,Sultans,Portobello and so many more. Alan encouraged everyone to take pictures/video and said they were happy to be touring the USA. Great that Chris and Alan kept this fantastic music alive. I am going again to see them again in Albany

As someone who attends perhaps 30 different shows a year, this ranks as one of the top 10 of all time. These guys are remarkable! Of course the music, the main reason to attend, is spectacular in its own right. But the mastery with which it was performed this evening was a truly memorable experience. Should they come back around my way I will not only buy tickets, I will buy tickets for friends who just simply not miss this performance.
