I never appreciated tenors before I heard Paul Byrom sing. His voice is truly a golden voice. He can make you feel such emotion. I get shivers. I cry. I sing along, despite not being able to sing very well. I never tire of playing Paul's music. The bonus is Paul's sense of humor - he's actually a very funny guy. He has wonderful stage presence, a gift that carries over from a genuinely sweet personality when he speaks with you one on one. Paul is simultaneously confident and humble; that's rare. His values are all in the right place. He is simply delightful and is a gift to all of us fortunate enough to see and hear him in person. BEST OF LUCK ON YOUR TOUR PAUL!!!

My husband and I drove to NYC from Pennsylvania through horrendous Friday night traffic, but it was worth it! Paul Byrom's opening number, "This Is the Moment" from "Jekyll and Hyde" gave me tingles, and the show took off from there. He chose great songs, kept up his amusing banter with the audience and absolutely deserved the long standing ovation at the end of the show. Of course, we promptly bought the CD. Also, we thought that BB King's was a perfect venue - intimate and classy. We'd never been to BB King's before and were very impressed with the setting, food and service. All in all, a special evening!

Utterly amazing! This guy sounded so much better live than on the recordings and he's great on the studio album. Other than Sting and maybe U2 this was the greatest live event I have seen. He opened the show with a rousing performance of his title song This is the Moment. He mixed in a spectacular version of Ave Maria which had most of the audience crying. He was hilarious in the way he weaved his stories to the songs and mixed in his melodic falsettos with his thunderous finishes to songs. My wife and I loved the entire show and the artist and venue will be seen by us again! Thank you for the memories Paul Byrom!!!

I loved Paul as part of Celtic Thunder so I was surprised that I didn't like him as much as a solo artist. He is my son's favorite...as a part of Celtic Thunder and as a solo artist so we decided to go to the show. I didn't know what to expect and was FLOORED by his voice live!! His cd doesn't do him justice compared to what he sounds like live!!! We had met Paul earlier in the day and he was VERY personable and friendly and that also carried over to the live performance. The music and songs were beautiful and his stories were funny...who knew he was such a goofball???!!!

AMAZING....ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL...AWESOME. Paul Byrom is a complete package....handsome, funny....but especially THE MOST WONDERFUL IRISH TENOR. Paul put on a great show on Friday. He was so funny, and so personable....The selection of songs was impeccable. He voice can be as smooth and gentle as velvet, but when his voice soars... it fills your heart and soul. I would HIGHLY recommend seeing Paul in any venue. Get his cds...."This Is The Moment," (newest), "Velvet" and his Christmas album..FANTASTIC. He is wonderful.

I have been a Celtic Thunder fan, so I knew about Paul's talent from his work with that group. I also had purchased both of his earlier CDs (Velvet and the Christmas CD). I wanted to support his efforts at a solo career, and so I purchased tickets to this show and to the new CD that he recently released, This Is the Moment. I knew the show would be good, but it was more than that. It was a great show, and well worth the modest cost. I also knew that Paul is very chatty from watching his interviews in Celtic Thunder promotions, but I did not realize how overall talented he is both in terms of his singing and his ability to entertain through storytelling, mimicry, impressions, and joke telling. I invited a friend to the show who thoroughly enjoyed it, and learned another friend was planning to attend. We all were uniformly impressed and agreed that we would definitely look for his next show. I hope this launches a very successful new solo career for him.

Being fans of Celtic Thunder, we were interested in hearing the single act of their tenor, Paul Byron.. His strong voice could be heard in many of the harmony offerings of CT. As a single act, we were very impressed. We were impressed at the many genres of music.. From Broadway, to High Liturgical, to Celtic, to international and more, Paul showed his range of abilities. Particuarlly charming were the anecdotes of his life. In the Cabaret atmosphere of Showcase Live - or in a larger venue - The stories fed a warm commorardery between him and the people of the audience. We would repeat this evening many times over, if that was possible. Great night.

We saw Paul Byrom in Foxborough, MA.We liked it so much, we drove 3 hours the next day to see him again in Conn. His show was entertaining from start to finish. Not only can the man sing, but he can tell stories and jokes like a true Irishman! His musical numbers varied, from classical songs to the Beatles' All My Loving, done in a very different way, to You Raise Me Up, which blew the roof off the theatre! He included 2 Irish tunes, notably Danny Boy, which had me in tears. He got several standing ovations, deservedly so. This man has a voice which will astound you, and he is not your average Irish tenor....he is so much more! Bravo, Paul!

Paul was at his best - fantastic - I was mesmerized by his performance. His wit and great sense of humor is devilish as usually. Paul did not disappoint. Would recommend to anyone. Brought two people who had never heard of him before and they had a fantastic time. Both looking forward to him coming again. Dominique was there and is just beautiful what a striking couple. I wish them the best.

Paul never ceases to astound us! His voice is brilliant. His story-telling wove the threads of the music through the evening. Paul paid special attention to all of his fans. He provided a sparkling evening of beautiful music, tintillating stories and quips, and left us wanting more. I highly recommend seeing Paul's show, wherever and whenever you have the opportunity!

Paul is a fabulous Irish tenor - but not just any tenor. His personality is wonderfully engaging and his choice of music is creative and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and would highly recommend any of Paul's shows.

Paul Byrom's tender and yet powerful voice is familiar to many due to his years with Celtic Thunder. He really comes into his own with this breakout solo tour and his accompanying "This is the Moment" CD. His fans knew we would see a class act and the reality of his performance far exceeded even our high expectations. Without the smoke, fancy sets, or backup musicians (other than the very able Dave Cooke on piano) that we experienced when we saw him sing with CT, when it was just Paul, a stool, a microphone and an audience the entertainment value was still extraordinary. He had an amazing time and so did we as he sang a mix of songs from his new CD, his days with CT, Broadway hits, Irish tunes old and new etc (See setlist contained in others reviews for a cross section of his song selections) and entertained us with humorous anecdotes and thoughtful explanations of certain song choices/interpretations he made. If he is coming anywhere halfway near you on his current tour and even if you can only afford one concert make this concert it. You will not be sorry.

In one simple word; Pauls concert is MAGIC. Any one who has been into Celtic Thunder for any length of time realizes that Paul has this energy and personality that is so hard to contain. Paul has a natural sense of humor and ability to tell you stories that make you feel like you are there with him. This concert was truly watching Paul in his element. A truly talented Irish tenor his voice flows with power, passion, beauty and emotion. Pauls concert tour truly feels like you are sitting around with him in the living room listening to his stories. He will make you laugh so hard you can barley breath, he will touch your heart with the passion he shares. He brought some of us to tears all in the same night. The song list started with the title cut from his new MUST HAVE CD; This is the Moment. Intermixed with songs from his new album he interspursed some tradtional Celtic classics such as Danny Boy. His new album also features well known Celtic classics which he performed at the show, Carrickfergus. He also featured She; Remember Me from his Celtic Thunder days. Every song was introduced with truly personal stories that helped you understand why the song means so much to him. He ended the show with the classic You Raise Me Up. The song shows the undeniable passion and power in his music that can not be described. Paul took the time to meet with all of the fans who went to thank them for coming. He made each meeting special for each fan. If you can get the chance; this is a not miss show.

I've been a fan of Paul since I first saw Celtic Thunder in 2008 well I have to say if you thought he was good before he is absolutely fantastic now. He had the audience everywhere from fits of giggles to in tears. The range of his performance is truly spectacular and I've never seen another performer like him. It is a night I will never forget. After the show he was even great enough to stand at the merchandise table to sign our stuff and to take pictures with us. That man is a class act!

Paul Byrom is an amazing entertainer. He has a phenomenal voice and is hysterically funny. I have seen many entertainers, and rate Paul right up there with the best of them. The time flew by and everyone in the audience hated to see it end. Great performer - great show!

Paul Byrom kicked off his 2011 US tour in Portland, Oregon and it was a delight. His voice has an amazing range in scale as well as in style of music. I especially enjoyed the witty banter that he injected between the musical selections.

Awesome voice-amazing control, dynamics, and expression. Great variety of songs. Great pianist. I did not expect him also to be an excellent story teller and very funny stand -up comic! It looked like the ladies loved him, but this concert is A-OK for a date or evening out for a guy too. The Aladdin is an intimate theater, and worked well for this evening.

Paul Byrom's voice and interpretation of songs brings tears to the eyes. He sings so beautifully. He's an extremely personable man and his comfotable talk to the audience, replete with stories, is a bonus. David Cooke, the fabulous piano player, perfectly completes the two man show. I encourage everyone to see it. I am still happy and reliving my attendance. Absolutely get the album THIS IS THE MOIMENT--but see Paul in person if you can.
