This was a really fun night for a good cause. Austin Scaggs band brought out a special guest to sing each of about 30 different Petty songs -- old and young, everyone loves to sing Petty! The quick rotation of special guests kept the shows' energy high and the night moving - no time consuming set changes or waiting between artists - loved that! Austin and his band had to work the hardest to support all the different artists ( and their different keys ; ). Loved the father and son music moments when Boz came out and played with his son for a few songs.

It could have been great, The idea was there only problem was the sound!! You could not hear the singers, it was as if every artist who was playing felt they were a super star and egos got in the way of the music!! A few of the singers again thought it was about them not the music of Tom Petty, there were a couple who did a great job Danny Masterson let The music come through! There were also some technicle problems with the band equimpent and not knowing the music as well... Also the show started late for a week night it really should have been on time and spent less time focusing on the so called VIP's who really were there to just eat over piced mac and cheese and act like they were really something special and who did not even go and try to enjoy the music! I saw it all very sad!

I wish there were more events like this, where topnotch musicians get together and rock out. Petty's music is worthy of way more than 3 hours, and these musicians enhanced it all. Truly stellar.

Unfortunately, Tom Petty did not make it to his tribute in NYC but there were many talented musicians and various special guests that included famous actors. Scarlet Johansen was in the audience, and many of the performers found themselves right next to us at the bar! The general admission was difficult; we could barely fit into the small ballroom but we managed to squeeze in as people were replenishing their drinks. Great time, legendary songs, and incredible musical talent. All in all it was a memorable event for a very reasonable cost.

Pettyfest was an amazing show and I highly recommend it to everyone! The Cabin Down Below Band is great. There were so many great artists that came out and performed and did a phenomenal job from Nicole Atkins, Norah Jones, Jesse Malin, Chris Chisel, Chris Chu, John Harrington, Har Har Mar, and many, many more. It is such a fun time of great musicians, music, and lots of people having a great time!

Unbelievable talent from everyone involved, but hard to shake the karaoke feeling when you're not watching the man himself

Petty Fest was so much fun! The performers were amazing the atmosphere was perfect and the venue was ideal. It was intimate but also big enough to have a good crowd. The Sheep Dogs, Justin Long, Will Forte, and the singer who did American Girl were just incredible! Overall an amazing night and I can't wait for next year.
