Robin hasn't lost a thing. His free lance lead playing was awesome and just what I was hoping for. The band played all his hits, which of coarse we also hoped for. The vocalist had a great voice, and he nailed it. The back up band (Katy Guillen and the Girls) were fabulouse....those chicks know how to rock!

Robin Trower was amazing, from opening with too rolling stoned to closing with Little bit of sympathy. Every last drop was groovy! And the venue was very clean and organized!

Ever since I watched a video of Robin Trower's act while dining at Konocti Resort, I realized I had to see him "live". Absolutely fabulous show! A solid 90 minute set playing all the standards - solid blues riffs with soaring solos & chord combos from another planet. Find his schedule and go! You will not be disappointed.

When I was in college in the early 1970's I bought three or four Robin Trower records. I knew even then that no one else played the electric guitar like Trower, About six months ago I watched about thirty minutes of a Trower concert on On Demand. It was obvious that Trower was still "cranking it out." I jumped at the chance of getting tickets. From the very beginning of the concert Robin established a special rapport with the audience. He is still at the top of his game. For the last three songs the audience was on their feet.

once again the snoqualmie casino has brought in another great act, this time it was robin trower, robin came out and mixed a good set of music from the present to the past, all encoumpancing the classic trower sound, the drums and bass gave a great backing beat, and the vocals were strong, but we all came to here robin's guitar playing, and there was no disapointment there. if you were a fan in the seventies, or just just love the sound of rock guitar this is a must show, be you young or old we all had a great time. i wounder where he's playing tonight, might be worth the drive. rock n andy

Technique still amazing, but I felt like I heard the same song over and over. Each song seemed to have the same tempo, and while his artistry is unquestionable, I was hoping to hear some new sounds.

I think I've seen every show Robin's performed at in the greater Seattle area since his first opening for Jethro Tull at the Seattle Center Ice Arena in I think '73? before Bridge of Sighs was released but he played the tunes along with his first awesome album. Most people didn't know who he was, but they sure did following that show! Last night at SnoCas was by far Robin's freshest most energetic yet relaxed performance since the very early days. Perhaps the mellowness of fine red wine like you need to sip while you listen to his incredible new personal album "What Lies Beneath" (best since BOS in my opinion). The fun thing for me was that he played many songs from early albums such as Hannah, Twice Removed From Yesterday, Victims of the Fury, Shame the Devil, etc.. along with his must plays of Day of the Eagle/Bridge of Sighs, Day of the Eagle, and the encore Too Rolling Stoned all of which I had performed with my bands around Seattle in the late '70's and early '80's till Disco really crushed the hard rock scene.

Great show, took about half a song to get the vocals to cut through, after that sound was great. Good to see Robin again after many years. He looked great for an old man and played equally well. Very patient set, obviuosly he's having fun and not just padding his retirement fund. Would go see him again in a heartbeat.

Robin Trower put on a good show last night but once again the Snoqualmie Casino's Ballroom reminds me how inadequate a flat floor ballroom with folding chairs is for a show. Until the last couple of songs the whole audience was seated and any attempt to stand and dance just annoyed the people behind. Why can't venues like this provide some sort of GA area? If you are going to have seats then you should have risers. I'm not the only one discouraged about seeing an act like this in a seated venue. I love having shows in my area but if I have a chance I'll see acts farther away just so I can stand and dance when I'm rockin' At least the sound and acoustics were fine though. David

I've wanted to see Trower for years, as he may be lesser known but is one of the premier guitar players out there. He did not disappoint. He is a great guitarist and opened with one of my favorite songs, Somebody Calling, which I didn't expect him to play, very funky. He did a lot of Bridge of Sighs album and rocked it all. I would of like to hear a song off BLT, but you can't have it all in one show I guess. The vocals were toned down a little, would be my only criticism. The vocalist did fit well into what you would expect, just the mix was a bit off. Overall a great show and well worth seeing. As these greats like Trower get older, they seem to only get better!

What I don't understand is why artists like this can't put together a show with others who present an excitement or enthusiasm at least equal to that of their loyal audiences who still come after 30 years. It must be either too costly to garner a profit worth touring for, or they can't find musicians faithful to the old music beyond a steady pay gig. I also can't help but believe - that as long as they are getting paid, working hard to learn the music, spending months on the road performing it, and getting the experience on their resumes\u2026 why the hell not? My only answer can be there is either great chemistry within the band\u2026 or not. Like Trower said, "hey, wanna play my songs for a month and make some money?" It wasn't as if the two "kids" were bad. More like good fill for the old standards so they can say "yeah, we played on tour with Trower". Singing lacked range and the drummer and bass player lacked real emotion. Robin played well, and hearing him again was great. But I guess after all these years, on auto pilot. Repetitive "thank you, you're a great audience" with nothing further to say, made it appear that his almost 70 year old body was on the job working toward the end encore set. Sound system sucked, with volume too high and humming between songs. I almost think an acoustic Robin and a best singer would have been a more intimate and personal experience worthy of the loyal Trower audiences of 30+ years.

I have been a devoted fan of this unique blues/rock guitarist since I was in high school...mid seventies. Yes...experiencing Robin in a 'live' venue again was so positively emotional. Robin has a 'gift' that can't be taught ....he is one of so few...such as Hendrix and Stevie Rae Vaughn...that connect to his playing through his heart and soul....it is almost an unexplainable ability to inspire any guitar player of any level and experience. For years (as a guitarist) I have played Robin's songs and if you listen to his interviews...he doesn't learn other licks from other guitarists....whatever his way to write maybe .... Robin is truely one of a handfull of musicians that was meant to give any of us who are lucky enough to see him pure hope and enjoyment. It also meant alot to me that he shoke my hand and, although tired, he signed my cd's and tickets. A true gentleman and hero..thanks Robin be safe through all your endeavors. Also thanks for my lifelong friend and current fiance' for sharing this night.

The show was great, the sound was perfect, Robin and band were spot on for the night. If you are a Trower fan you have to go see him now! Robin hasn't skipped a beat in all these years and his guitar sound needs to be experienced live. This man clearly has something special going on like no other. He takes electric blues to a new level consistently including on his newest release "Playful Heart". I was a little disappointed that they only played a one and a half hour set but there were no dull moments in it and he played all of the songs you'd expect to hear from his catalog. Overall an awesome performance by everyone in the band.

Robin Trower was in town and a great time was had by all! Everyone that caught the show, that is. He is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen and I have seen them all! The show was energetic, powerful and yet simple ,no gimmicks just great playing by the entire band and just as important, the band seem to be having a great time! They pretty much played the entire Bridge of Sighs album an it sounded great. If you are up for great, in your face Rock & Roll show, Robin Trower is your man! the Culture Room is a great place to see live music! PSA

The master was in great form as usual. He always seems to dig out some great deep cuts. "Somebody Calling" was a nice surprise. Very well performed. Davey Pattison never disappoints. His voice and delivery are a perfect match with Trower's guitar. Glenn's bass duties held everything together, especially during lead breaks. Pete's percussion was awesome the entire show. I have seen Trower dozens of time since my first experience in 1976. He continues to amaze. I really think his playing has gotten better over the years. No one I can think of can get the Strat to emit so many different tones with minimal added effects. His feather touch has amazing dynamics.

This was my second time at the Culture Room, so I knew what to expect. Adequet warm up band Terry Catlin. Female guitar and bassist, drums and organ. All original music. Robin went to town right off the bat. The only song I heard from back in the day was the opener. He played mostly newer stuff and he played it well. Well defined riffs, and a real pleasure. He looked like he was having a lot of fun. I never stay for the encores, in fact I usually take off after the first 2/3 of the show. My back has been pretty bad lately and without seating, I left after about eight songs. What I saw was inspring, even if I wasn't familiar with the tunes. Good Show, would see him again.

After waiting years to see Robin Trower, all I can say is WOW. This was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The man is a legend for a reason. The sound in the Culture Room is not that great, but Trowers tone and sustain was amazing anyway. Seeing him in the small intimate club was worth it. The only bad point was when the merchandise salesman duped me when he told me the CD he was selling was the new one, which it was not. I would definitely see Robin again, and I can't wait until he plays near here again.

So the singer never took his eyes off the lyrics under the monitors and the drummer seemed to be falling asleep. Robin Trower still sounded as good as ever, with new songs that sounded great. I had never seen him and wanted to since since I got my Bridge of Sighs album when it came out. Opening with the title track of his first album, Twice Removed From Yesterday, Robin rocked The Culture Room last night. For nearly two hours he entertained us with his unique blues rock guitar riffs with favorites like For Earth Below, Day of the Eagle, Bridge of Sighs and ending the evening with Another time Another Place from the Living Out of Time album. He also played Time and Emotion a cut from the new CD, What Lies Beneath. This latest effort on its way to becoming another masterpiece.

Robin is still at his best. The show was unbelievable. What a great time. It was a true flashback to the 70's. Robin still can play as if it is nothing for him. James Dewar was remarkable. His voice is still as strong as it was then. When they played "Bridge of Sighs" I had goosebumps. I closed my eyes and felt like it was the early 70's and I was listening to it again for the first time. I highly recommend seeing him for yourself.

He's getting older, but hasn't lost any of his magic touch with the Strat! He was better than ever last night, definitely better than any of the other 3 times I've seen him. The lead singer seemed ill, but didn't miss a note. Robin has full command over the tone, feedback and nuances special to his style, and uses these tools to create masterful moods. He brings the audience along for a great ride. Worth seeing.

Fantastic show by the great blues guitar legend. 80 degree day in July at the fabulous Snoqualmie Lodge. There also happened to be a Hawaiian Tropic convention at the lodge- life is good- very good. The crowd was bouyant going into the 4th of July weekend- fantastic energy throughout the show. Trower opened with Twice Removed From Yesterday. Highlights included Shame The Devil, Day Of The Eagle followed by Bridge Of Sighs, Little Bit of Sympathy, and Too Rolling Stoned. As usual the man did not miss a note. Awesome heavy blues rock. We can only hope he continues to play here every year as he has for the last three. If you have not seen him, do not miss it next time.

Unbelievable show! Then when you consider he's 73 it was almost unfathomable. You can tell the guy lives to play the guitar...because thats what he did for 90 minutes...he played. And played. Fantsastic, as expected. A group by the name of Strange Vine opened for him and they were great as well. We got photos with them. As for Robin Trower, at our venue, he sat outside in an SUV after the show and signed things for people. No selfies (takes too long with that many people), but they allowed me to stand back and take a photo of my husband getting the autograpgh while he was signing.

In recent years, when touring the US, Trower does alternate coasts on alternate years-so he comes to the Bijou in Knoxville every other year...and every other year I am there to see him! Even past seventy years old Trower still get the job done and is playing as well as ever. From the opening notes of Too Rolling Stoned to whatever he chooses as his encore it is a solid 90 minutes of his classic hits mixed in with a few songs from his newer albums. But it is never the "same" show twice and always worth the ticket price. You know you are going to hear Too Rolling Stoned, Bridge of Sighs, and Day of the Eagle but from there it is his choice from the past. The newer songs are just as good. Returned in Kind was an excellent choice from the new album which is as "classic" a mixture of blues and rock that you will hear anywhere. If you have ever enjoyed Trower get yourself some tickets to see this show, If you don't know who he is...find out and go, if you are a fan of the blues or blues rock or classic rock, do yourself a favor and check it out. No fancy light show, no props, just a man a Fender Stratocaster, a univibe pedal, a wah-wah, and 90 minutes unadulterated bliss.

Remember when we had long hair? Most of it's gone and with it went the music. It's so refreshing to still be able see a real musician of this caliber. Having seen Trower so many times I've lost count, this show was perhaps the best performance I've ever seen of any guitarist. He is the most underrated guitarist and I quit reading Rolling Stone when thy failed to include him in their list of top 100 guitarist. He brought us all back to the seventies and better times when we thought Nixon was as low as we could get.

This was the third time I've seen Robin at San Diego's House of Blues and it was the best set yet. He seemed to play a few more mid to up-tempo songs this time. He also seemed to really be enjoying himself. He's well worth seeing every time he comes to town.

This was the fifth time I have seen Robin Trower over the past 40+ years. He always puts on a great show and never disappoints! For this show, the crowd of 1,200 fans in St. Louis were very appreciative of his set list and his incredible sound. KSHE-95 (FM radio station) is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and they have always played Trower tunes on the radio. KSHE has made so many rock artists special to the people of St. Louis and we are grateful to the radio station and these great musicians. My 34 year-old son attended with me and he loves Robin as much as we 'older' rockers. My wife and I are going to see Robin in Vegas next weekend too! Don't miss him on this tour; you won't be disappointed with his show!

Great guitar jams! Like many British rock guitarists, Robin was heavily influenced by American blues greats (like Albert King). And he's still going strong & playing great at 71 years old. A former member of Procol Harum, though he's probably better known for his solo work and projects with Cream bassist Jack Bruce. Not the type of stuff that'll give you a lot of commercial success, but that just means I get to see him now in a small venue. The Wilbur holds about 1200, and was about 90% sold the morning of the show (not sure if walk up sales turned it into a sell out). Actually, the venue should probably hold about 1100, but they cram people in on the lower level ('cocktail table seating'; four people to a table that's barely large enough to hold four drinks). Real difficult to get to your seat if your not at a perimeter table, and no leg room. Though I got lucky: two 'no shows' at the table right in front of me.

I will go to this show every time I can, every time he plays at the Paramount. He is my musical soulmate. There is just something about the way he plays guitar and the melodies whether they be upbeat and rockin' or slow and soulful. I am just lost in the moment. What more can I ask from a musician?

Robin is using a three-piece band this time around, but they still have a powerful sound. Lead singer has strong voice and does justice to old material. Drummer is steady and hits all the right flurries. Robin is still wonderful with his flowing, melodic playing. He truly is in a class by himself and I've always wondered by he has never really gotten the respect he deserves for his talent. Show was sold out and attendees were excited and responsive to the performance.

Robin has gone back to his 3 piece band for the american tour this year. Of course he was known best for his power trio in the early and mid seventies and has reverted back to it several times over the years. The two guys he is touring with seem new to us stateside but they have both worked with him before- the drummer Chris played drums on his latest recording as well. Both guys are very talented and performed quite well. Personally, I am a greater fan of the line up which includes Davey Pattison on lead vocal. Richard has a wonderful voice but does not use much power, Davey as with Jimmy Dewer-could sing sweet and mellow but also could pull out the power when appropriate. All in all- this show was still phenomenal. I will always support Robin and will always go see his shows. Much to Robins credit- he knows his audience- he is writing some great new music that is appealing to himself and most core fans (like me), but he realizes that when he's out touring (esp in States) he still must play the classics and give the audiences what they expect with an occasional surprise. You won't be disappointed- go see Robin. He's 70 years young- go see Robin.

Phenomenal venue for music. Robin Trower was in top form jamming from the very beginning of his set. Penn's Peak is a exposed wood beams and columns building similar to a giant log cabin but so much nicer. We traveled here from NC just to see Robin and we have never been disappointed in any of his shows.

This was a fantastic show! Robin Trower continues to dominate the blues/rock world. If you want to see one of the greats in action, then look no further. I have seen him twice on this tour and both times he and his band delivered a great and memorable show! Both shows he received a standing ovation.

I grew up hearing Trower blasting out of my brother's bedroom. I took him as an early birthday gift. Our only complaint about the show was that the sound seemed off. The bass player was too loud so made it harder to hear Trower's playing. Also, bass player's mic was barely audible. There really needs to be someone in charge of sound. This problem distracted from the show.

In these modern times of internet-based culture, overly-commercialized music and "tweets" that pass for news, Robin Trower stands as one of those gems from earlier times. It was wonderful for me to get out and see someone who a) has his wits about him, b) has real talent and c) has a grace and humility that is best experienced within a live setting. Robin has been doing what he does for a long time now - and the fact that he can still deliver a powerful, beautifully-presented show is certainly worthy of the high praises it gets pretty much everywhere. He can still deliver that special, unique, 1970's feel that is long gone now but still remains part of his craft (and the lives of those who remember). It was exciting (although not in a loud way - more like in a mature way) to see someone who was part of the late '60's music scene - when bands like Cream and the Stones, the Yardbirds, King Crimson and Yes were launching their long-standing careers. If you like blues, miss the 1970's at all or just want to hear a great player, this man is worth going to see. I was very impressed, and I am a brand-new fan!

I had always wanted to see Robin Trower. Bridge of Sighs is a CD that I have continued to listen to over the past decades. The band leaned heavily on that material for the show. It was amazing how the trio was able to create such a full sound during quieter portions of Robins songs. I was fascinated how the bass and drums set a simple groove that Robin played on top of. The music stood up to the test of time as the three performers simply made music.

I cant believe im still able to see my high school guitar idols. Robin Trower sounds like he did when he went solo after Procol Harem. He is an incredible musician who is timeless. His shows are exactly what you would expect. Amazing. Hope he never stops performing.

Robin Trower is a no-nonsense, no gimmicky, no speed-riffing guitarist that makes every note count. His bluesy-rock technique is the perfect showcase for his special talent. His sidemen, bass and drums, never get in the way of his message and are perfect for their part of support.I saw him last year, this year and I'll see him when he comes around next time too! Catch this remarkable talent while you can

I would advise anyone going to purchase a seat ticket or if you want SRO tickets then go with a friend and stake out a spot early as they get full and the sight lines are not great, especially from the balcony. I was alone so got very little view of the band but, they sounded almost as good as the sound on their album releases in the 1970-1980's

The last time I saw Robin was over 30 years ago. He can still play that strat like he did way back then. His guitar sounded amazing, as always. His singer/bassist was excellent and sounded a lot like Robin's old recordings. His vocal could have come up in the mix just a little. Robin played the songs I expected to hear and several I didn't know. What you would expect. His set was short, but hey. He deserves it. He's definitely paid his dues. At least he brought along a backing act that was pretty good. All in all a very enjoyable show.

This was the best concert I've been to in a while. All the songs he played sounded great. He is one of the best blues guitarists. His drummer and bass player were young guys but were right with Trower. The bassist had an awesome voice. The sound was fabulous! Will definitely see Trower again!

Robin Trower and his cohorts were such blast to see. Their energy on stage was exhilarating. There is nothing like seeing a group that melds well together and looks to be thoroughly enjoying what they are doing. It was an incredible evening and the band was tight. Seeing them at the Egg in Albany was a treat as I don t think there is a bad seat in the house.

Back in the day, when I was a very much younger man, I was a singer in a rock and roll band (sounds like a song) and used a couple of Trower songs. I have wanted to but have somehow missed hearing him live. Well, the show at Center Stage Theatre in Atlanta was the moment. My experience - there are those who own the guitar, those that ride the guitar, and then there is Robin Trower who absorbs the guitar; at least in this instance. Just a wonderful sound stage and absolute truthfulness to his own interpretation to his own songs. My seat was a perfect setup to hear him and I am sorry I did not get to see Robin sooner in life. Thank you for sharing Robin and continuing to tour. Those three fat Marshalls really, really sounded great for that venue!
