George Strait with Martina McBride

We saw George Strait and Martina McBride in Knoxville, TN on March 1st. The concert was fantastic. The diamond shaped stage and the artists moving from corner to corner gave everyone a chance to see them up close and personal. Music was terrific and you could understand the words. It wasn't so loud that all you could hear was noise. If they come close to Chicago, I'd go see them again before the tour ends next year.

This was my first George Strait concert and it was an amazing experience! Martina McBride was awsome and pumped up the audience for the coming of George Strait. Once George hit the stage it was non stop fun and entertaining. He did some of his new tracks, starting off the show with "Here for a good time" he also performed his best singles in history, and ended the show with "The cowboy rides away." This was a great show!!!!!

I took my mom and my grams we all 3 had a great time!! Something I'll never for get and will keep the memories of this night with me for a long time!!

George Strait has to be one of the best musicians ever. His show was really good. I wish he would've sang more of his older music, but enjoyed it.

George Strait was a great show! My only complaint was that there were so ushers to help people with seat assignments. Before he came back out for the encore people starting standing in the aisles and on the steps so it was hard to see the last few songs of the show because the people would not return to their seats. Other than that it was a very nice show!

Great music by both artists. George singss about as many songs as an artist can sing in a 2 hour plus concert.

Awesome concert! Couldn't get any better than Martina and George together in concert!!

The Lafayette CajunDome was the Hottest Spot in Louisiana! Martina sang an opening set as only she can and George was fantastic, mixing old and new songs then returning to stage to finish his set with "Cowbow Rides Away"...

Although I did enjoy her show, Martina was not as good as I expected. George on the other hand is always George. He has talent and class that will be remembered long after he is gone. Can't wait to see him again!!!

An awesome experience we will never forget!! Surely any fan will enjoy!!

I paid right at two hundred dollars for the last row on the top Teir. In other words I couldnt possibly be any further away unless I was outside. Rediculous. It's country music people. There is no show and it definitely wasn't worth the money. Maybe forty bucks of entertainment

George could have done some of his older songs for his seasoned fans

King George still got it!!! Not much more to say. He's looking old, but still sounds great and looks great. Had a blast(: And Martina McBride did a great job too. Overall, concert was great!!!

Martina's voice & range was fantastic. Loved her comments about her children and how some of her songs came about. George, as always, was awesome. I got what I wanted, just to hear his voice in person. His musicians are all so talented and you can tell they've played together for a long, long time. 58 #1 songs...come on, how could I be disappointed. Went & got the shirt too!

Martina McBride opened for George, and she did well. George came out and stole the show! He sang for about two hours never slowed down! It was incredible, and I would go back any day!!

Martina McBride has an amazing awesome voice. She was such an energetic person full of life. George Strait is an awesome singer also. I love the videos he puts up on the screen when playing/singing. It makes the show sooo much more visual.

The concert was WONDERFUL! He played for almost 2 hours. His stage is great so there are no bad seats.

I always thought that George Strait was one of the best country artists ever. Now after seeing him perform in concert I believe he is the best country artist ever. He was amazing.

All I can say is OMG!!! What a concert, Martina McBride is unforgetable. She has such a wonderful voice and doesn't get the recognition she deserves. She was absolutely awesome..... Now King George, what a man. White starched shirt, pressed Wranglers and that black hat, what a gorgeous combination. He sang a wonderful combination of the old and the new. The arena went nuts with past hits like Unwound, The Chair, I Can Still Make Cheyenne. But the biggest roar of the night came with Amarillo By Morning. He just gets better with age, and even talks a little more on stage. A glorious night for a George Strait fan, just ended too soon.

The concert was awesome! If he tours again, I'll make sure I buy closer seats, although the seating in the Cajundome wasn't that bad.

Martina has a great set of lungs, is gorgeous looking and really puts on a great performance. George of course is the greatest showman of all. Really puts on a great show!

While you can't argue with the voices of Martina or George I found the song selections to not be very good . for what you pay for tickets these day I would expect alittle more

My family and I had a great time. George, Martina, and their bands put on a wonderful performance. The cajundome and its staff were very helpful and polite. It is one of my favorite places to go for a concert!

In general, I HATE country music. George is my exception. I love his music. This was my third time seeing him in concert, and I'm already looking forward to the next time he is in the area. He said at the concert he plans to do this for a few more years. Martina was awesome also. I think this show had sold out. I wish more of the people I know could have experienced it.

This George Strait was as good as it gets. He played several old hits as well as his latest. Unbelievably great.

Although I have seen both George and Martina before,I have never seen them together,this should be the must see event of the year.If you can only see one show this year,this should be the one. I had my tickets bought during the radio presale. Can't wait.

George was fabulous ... as always ... seen him several times in concert and would go again. He certainly lives up to the title "King George". Worth the drive from Cincinnati to St. Louis. First time ever seeing Martina and she was amazing.

What a show. Martina, first time I saw her and she was awesome. George, well, this is the 5th time I've seen him in concert. He was just as Amazing as the first time I saw him.

Saw George with Reba acouple years ago and it was the best concert ever! This time George didn't sing as many of his hits and I missed that. Was quite disappointed. Glad he was feeling better though!

The concert got rescheduled, but it was great to get to hear Martina twice!!! It was a great show, definatly worth the trip back!

Applause, applause to George for taking the high road and returning to do the show a week later. That's class. Martina's show, modified from the week before, we thought was even better than the first. Fortunately, the sound seemed to be backed off a little and it was a much more enjoyable. George was George, smooth, mellow, classy performer. Most of the time the band did not overwhelm him, which often happens in the Sprint Center. We could actually hear the words he was singing - thank you very much.

As always, George put on a heck of a show. Everyone was understanding of the week before, and was overwhelmed that Martina would come back for another show. Both put on one of the best concerts I have seen. They both gave 110 per cent and deserved all the standing ovations they got.

The rescheduled event gave us an opportunity to see Martina again and fulfill our excitement for George Strait. Martina had put on a terrific show the week before with outstanding vocals and a great connection with the audience. Of course, we were disappointed when George came out on stage last week only to announce he was sick and had to reschedule. With GREAT anticipation, we arrived on the rescheduled date expecting George would "make up" for missing the previous week. Martina was TERRIFIC! She took the time over the course of the week to add new songs to the mix even pulling out some great songs from years gone by. She engaged the audience and addressed some funny stories about preparing for a second concert to the same audience and her desire to change things up. She thanked everyone - and truly put on an unforgettable show! George... George... George. My husband's favorite entertainer. HE DID NOT PUT ON AN EVEN MEDIOCRE show. He never ONCE addressed the audience about the previous weeks missed event, did his "same old same old" set we saw last year... and the year before... and the year before. The night ended with my husband and I in agreement - we'd go see Martina again in a heartbeat, but that was our last George Strait concert. I'm sad to say - after seeing him at least 10 times in concert - he just doesn't seem to have the heart and soul for it anymore. So... neither do we!

Acostics very poor. In my opinion, the drums, guitars, etc., drown out the singing. Both artist very good when I could hear them. George's music the best only because band /music wasn't as loud.

The concert was amazing!!! We watched Martina perform the first go around and she did an amazing job! The second time around I think was even better!! She did songs from years ago and sounded GREAT! George ROCKED the house! What can I say? You should have been there! To hear the crowd go wild and sing along with his songs, is priceless. Even though he couldn't perform the first go around, he definately made it up to us! Best concert I've been to this year....so far! This one will be a hard one to top!

Great show by both Martina and George, we didn't care all that much for George's play list. So many better songs he could have played. Martina was excellent! Both times!

We were unable to attend on the original date, so when we learned it had been rescheduled we were thrilled! We were fortunate to get some great seats, probably due to someone's misfortune. Martina's performance was outstanding...such a powerful voice! And what else can you say about the King of Country, Mr. George Strait? Priceless!!!!

Although George was sick and had to cancel and come back it was well worth the wait and money spent. He is amazing. I love my fellow Texan. I love his music. He puts on a great show. He is so humble and down to earth. Lone Star Pride!!!! I miss home and everytime George comes to KC to play I go and see him no matter the cost. He brings a a bit of home here and I'm able to feel like I'm back in Texas even if its for a few hours.

The reschedule was a bit challenging for many. We were fortunate to have the second weekend available to go. Both Martina and George understood the added effort by the fans and made a great effort to not disappoint them. After seeing two shows by Martina I was concerned that George would be the lessor show. Not so! I was very surpriesed by the quality of his band. Martina had a good group with her but pailed compared to the "Ace in the Hole" band. I am a musician and was impressed.

I thought they both sounded amazing. This was my 27 th time to see George and it ranked in the top three. The energy was high, he was laughing and having a good time.

So glad that George postponed his concert in KC to the next weekend. He did not sound well that first night. Martina did an excellent job both dates and we were so excited that she changed it up on her return performance. George as always was George what more can you say, they call him the King of Country for a reason! Loved, loved, loved it!

Sorry he was ill and only able to sing 1 song before cancelling; however, it was a blessing to us when he came back to KC because he was well rested and gave us one heck of a show! I can't wait for him to come back again next year! Hoping to get front row seats! He is the KING!!

Martina McBride is a class act, she preformed two shows for the price of one, and both were excellent. Kansas should be proud of this Gal, for giving the crowd the two shows. George Strait is another class act, and should be commended for doing what he did and gave the audience a choice, stay home or come and see a great show, five stars for Geo and Martina six or seven for coming back. I got my monies worth, thanks Sprint Center for doing a better job of letting the customers in early, and not standing in the cold.

George gave Kansas City 2 hours of non-stop country heaven. He gets better with time. Long Live King George!!!!

I have seen George over 20 times over the years from state fairs to stadiums to arenas. Had the best seats ever and this concert was one of the best to go along with it. Postponed a week earlier, Martina did a completely different 1hr long set, and George did about 15 or 20min more than he normally does. Sounded great and longtime fiddle player Gene Elders even signed my hat to top off a top 10 concert of all time! Well done King George!

If you ever get the chance to see George Strait in concert, don't miss it! George has a fabulous voice that only gets better with age. His band, Ace in the Hole, has been with him since the beginning -- it is obvious that this band plays well together and truly enjoys making music together! George doesn't disappoint, playing one hit after another. Four encores too! Martina McBride could very well tour as a headliner, so this pairing was truly outstanding. It was an event I won't soon forget.

WOW!!!! What a show! Marina was fabulous and George stuck to his word and gave us all one heck of a show!!! Thanks so much for making this a great experience!!! Can't wait to hear Mr. Strait sing Amarillo by Morning again!

OMG!!! I have been waiting to see George almost my entire life, can't wait to watch him again!!!

WOW! He gave a great show - although some were not able to attend due to his illness the week before....however, he is human like the rest of us and the show was no let down. Martina was fabulous as well and really catered to the event since everyone had seen her show the week prior....overall, how can anyone miss with George.

If it was possible, Martina was even better than the first time. Her powerful voice amazed and mezmerized me the entire show. George's voice sounded stronger than ever as he performed his 28 songs. They are both such a class act! Being the last stop on the tour, George very easily could have just cancelled the whole thing, but he thinks too much of his fans to do that. Martina was a class act also in that she did not have to return with George. It was an amazing evening I won't forget for a long time. Cudos to both of them.

Ive seen George six times and Ill continue to go see him when he's close to my home! Martina rocked both shows and Im so glad she came back with George.

But George was also amazing. We had a major jetlag, but still managed to enjoy the concert. It was great.

I have been to several other George and Martina concerts this year and by far this was my favorite. Loved the sound at the Scottrade Center. Both George and Martina were fantastic. They changed up some of the songs. You can tell they were having as much fun as we were having!!

Had floor seats with a great view. Loved the mix of old and new songs from George. Always a memorable experience hearing him in person.

What a fantastic show! Martina opened and got us all fired up! I didn't want the night to end! The new Amyway Center in Orlando is beautiful! I see George Strait every year and am dreading the day he stops touring :( I am a huge fan!

George continued his legacy with another outstanding show without "all the smoke and the lights". Just standing up there with his guitar in hand, signature hat and representing the Wrangler brand of clothes as he always does, George sang as good as I've ever heard him and gave us fans an excellent setlist that ended with the old cowboy riding away. I can't wait to see him again! It was a real treat to listen to some good old fashioned country western music. All hail the King of Country!!!

Such a great concert! Martina McBride was a great opener for the concert - her voice was beautiful, power ... unbelievable. Then, when George Strait took the stage, the crowds went wild. He did an excellent mix of his new and old hits and even did a great rendition of Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues'. In true George Strait fashion, his final song was "The Cowboy Rides Away" and with a final farewell to the crowd, he exited the stage for the second time (came back and did three or four songs for an encore) to cheers and a standing ovation. It is refreshing to hear a pair of singers that sound just as good live (if not better) as they do in the studio.

This concert was amazing! I had such a great time! Everyone was singing along and having a great time!

AMAZING!!!! Martina McBride sounds better live then she does recorded!! And you simply cannot beat George Strait!!

Martina has amazing control and range what a thrill to watch her heartfelt performance. George is not the King for no reason. His selection of new songs off his Here for a Good time album are a great compliment to his crowd favorites. Whether performing a moving ballad like Amarillo or belting out an up tempo make you get up and dance song like Some Kind of Crazy you can always count on George to entertain you. As much as the fans love George you can see and hear how much he loves the fans.

Martina opened up for George with a bang and went out with a bang as well..I have never been to a concert where the opening act received a standing ovation...for over five minutes for a song she sang. She was very surprised as well. I would go to a show headlinging Martinia anyday! George Strait is still the King of Country Music and will always be! He played all of the favorites and a few of the songs from his new album. I love to go to a concert where the crowd is satisfied with sitting and listening to someone singing...not screaming and yelling all the time!

I enjoyed George Strait's performance. His singing sounds exactly the same as on the radio or CD's. It was a grand old time!! I missed most of Martina's show, I heard the last song. She did a good job.

This was my first time experiencing the magic, the phenomenon, the legend...Mr. George Strait. I was not dissappointed and am extremely satisfied that I was there. From the opening act of Martina and her sharing her personal picture of her daughter attending her winter formal, we knew we were in for a very intimate performance. George came on afterwards sharing with the crowd his recent addition to his family making him a grand father. To the final cut of the concert, when the "Cowboy rode away :(" George touched every corner of the stage allowing everyone the opportunity to share in the magic. A must see!!!!!!!

Awesome is the only word to describe the show; The energy in the air from the audience, and Martina belting out all her hits had everyone on their feet for half of her show. And,, how much more can you say about George?He is just the greatest !!! They more than gave us our money's worth, with the show lasting over 3 hours, And, Kudeos to US Airways also; the sound was great, the lighting great, and all over quality entertainment!! And, a perk was the free light rail round trip to and from the concert; No parking or traffic problems; We rode down early, had dinner and drinks before the show, and had a train waiting to take us back to our car when we came out of the concert. AGAIN, IT WAS A PERFECT EVENING!

I was very excited when I heard the announcement that George and Martina were pairing up for a tour this year, and they did not disappoint. Martina opened the show with what can only be explained as an emotional and breathtaking concert. You can tell she puts her entire self into every performance. It was an amazing show, and frankly, the better performance of the evening. I have seen her in concert a half a dozen times, and I have never left anything but astounded and amazed by her. I'm not sure which is more amazing. Her phenomonal voice, or the fact that every performance she gives seems to be everything she has. There is a sincerity to her peformance that a lot of other artists lack. I would pay the $100 ticket fee if it was just her portion of the concert, and leave feeling like I got a bargain. I love George Strait. I love his classic music. Unfotunately, I haven't loved the majority of his music choices on his latest albums. He came out and started the show with a few of his classics, and everyone in the crowd was very in to it. Then there was a fairly extended part in the middle, where he focused on songs I did not know. Based on the crowd involvement, I would say over half of the other people there didn't know them either. The songs were ok. It just wasn't what I was hoping to hear from him. He finished strong with a string of his most famous classics, and the crowd was re-energized. My biggest complaint with the last couple of Geroge Strait concerts I've been to, is that he has started making the music so loud that you cannot hear him singing. What makes him great is his voice. I don't understand why he doesn't seem to want anyone to hear it anymore. I don't mind the music being loud. I just want it to not overpower the voices. I know his songs word for word, and there were parts that I couldn't even tell what he was singing because it was just reverberating music. Overall, it was still a great night of music from two of the best country singers of all time. I would give the night a 4.5 out of 5 stars. The stage was a square set diagonally in the middle of the venue. There were microphones on each corner of the square, where the performers would stand to sing a few songs. Then they would move to the next corner, so everyone had a front view at one point or another. There were also huge TV's over the stage, so when they weren't facing you, you could watch them on the TV.

"Awesome Concert" The crowd was loving George and George was loving the crowd. Best concert of George Strait I've seen and this was number 44 for me. It looked like he enjoying it and you could hear it in the music. George is like a fine wine, he just getting better. Love that man Mr. George Strait. Martina was great!

this was my 2nd time to see martina.. matter of fact she even mentioned the last concert. it was the first time she had sang broken wing.. said the audience gave her courage,.. she is a little stick of dynamite.. and this was my first strait concert.. was he great.. damn strait,.. i hope it wont be my last... they were both amazing.. and we were all " there for a good time.."

Saw George Strait in NewOrleans! Definetly the best concert I have ever seen and I have seen too many to count. I am so glad I got the chance to see this legend. Best Christmas present ever. Thanks to my wonderful husband and daughters.

Wow! George holds his own. Actually, the younger singers have to keep up with KING George. Missed show in Los Angeles, drove to Phoenix for the weekend. Worth it all! George has been my teens idol since the womb. I remember the first time she "saw George". She was around 1 yr. and she heard the TV- George was singing in the Pure Country movie. She knew the music, left the kitchen and went to the TV. She was amazed. I asked if he were nice to see and she smiled REALLY big and shook her head. Now she had a face to place with a voice she heard in the womb. George still amazes her- only this time she saw him live in concert. She says the first of many times to come. Grandma loves George too!

I am very happy with his concert, even though it was delayed a week, it really didn't bother me. We ended up getting two completely different shows out of Martina McBride and she was incredible too. I think Geroge did the right thing in being honest about not being able to perform for us that first weekend, you could obviously tell he was very sick and he did try to sing but couldn't. A lot of people were jerks about it but hey, he could of ended up losing his voice completely had he tried to go on and sing OR it just would have been a poor performance. I would of rather come back so he could put on an awesome show like we all know he can and we were not disappointed whe we came back. I got to see George in concert 9 years ago and he was just as good now as he was then. I will go see him again when he decides it's time for the cowboy to ride away for good.

So happy that Martina came back to open for George again! She was even more impressive the second time around! George was excellent, just wish he would have sung more songs that we knew. So many songs we hadn't heard, and we were hoping for the oldies but goodies!

I thought it GREAT that Martina came back AND that George made it all happen. Both are very classy artists.

I actually thought Martina was a little bit better this week than last, and last week she was GREAT!! George was awesome, as usual!! I was so glad he felt better. You could tell from the first step on stage that he wasn't ill this week. What a GREAT show!!

Martina McBride was amazing both times that she performed! She mixed the songs up between the two sets and I am very glad that I came back for the second show. Although I was disappointed that George Strait could not perform the original night, his performance was well worth waiting for. He played a mix of old and loved favorites as well as new songs. George sounds just as great in person as he does on any record.

LOVED the show! Both artists sounded wonderful! I do wish that George sang more of his classics, but he was fabulous! The only Bad Part: We had some people sitting around us who were irritated that we were singing along and dancing in our seats. It's a concert for crying out loud!!!

This event was awesome. I have seen George several times and he never disappoints me. I appreciated that he came back to KC when he was feeling better and put on another show. What an awesome person and Martina is a special gem coming back with him. Please, Please keep both on the list of entertainers to come back to KC each year.

Went for a "Good Time" and that is what we got. George Strait is always great and never disappointed in his performance. Martina McBride really got things started for the evening. Great Show!

Despite Martina performing the week before, she had an amazing second performance for the Kansas City crowd. George was incredible. He gave Kansas City a night to remember. I can't wait until the next time.
