The opportunity to be at Lawson's first show in New York city was one of those "once in a lifetime" kind of things and I'm so excited I can say I was there. Not to mention the chance to see Kevin Jonas and the rest of the Married to Jonas crew, who attended to support one of their own, Mikey DeLeasa (the opening act). The show was amazing. After waiting in the cold and rain for four hours, I was blessed with a front row spot. I touched the stage the entire show. The venue was well controlled (once we actually got inside) and the music was amazing. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

It was amazing. I didn't like the waiting hours outside to get into the venue in order to get a good place since its GA.

I'm sorry for the incredibly cheesy review title. The show was wonderful. I don't know if it was because the show was the band's first in New York, or if it really was the room, but the guys were just full of energy. I saw someone describe their LA show as arena sized rock in a small club. Now that I've seen them, I know what he meant. A bassist who really just looks like he's having the time of his life; a drummer who really bangs the crap out of his equipment; a guitarist who makes the most amusing faces; and a singer who emotes with every word that comes out of his mouth. This band was just a wonder to watch. It doesn't hurt that they have catchy tunes either. Considering they have yet to release a single, let alone an album in the states, Lawson has quite the following. I look forward to seeing them in the future, jamming out in a bigger room.

Lawson is an up and coming band from England. I absolutely love their album, Chapman Square, and I didn't think it was possible for them to sing better than they did on the album...but they superseded my expectations singing live. They were on stage for about an hour and a half and even came back for an encore. An absolutely amazing night. (Deleasa was the opening act. The lead singer is Danielle Jonas's brother so I happened to meet the Jonas Brothers at the venue)
