Legends of Disco

This was the most fun I've had in years! The line up was incredible, the venue- perfect for dancing, and the service was amazing! I can't wait for the next one!

Saturday Night Fever in 2012 ! What a blast ! A great time was had by all.

This evening was billed as a flashback to Studio 54, and it definitely was not. The live acts were okay at best, and there was way too much talking and filler throughout the night, from the deejays, Danny Terrio, and the performers themselves. It was obvious at times they were just trying to kill time on stage, which was absurd given that every single person in the audience was there to dance. There is no reason they couldn't have just popped on a recording of some good 70's disco -- believe me, if they had started up with some cuts from Saturday Night Fever, the place would have gone nuts. I had high hopes for this event and was sorely disappointed.

I was so impressed by the entertainment and how much they continue to love to give back to the audience. I was also impressed by the audience and the participation in singing and dancing!! I loved every single second I was there!

The line-up of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Tavares, Trampps, France Joli, Chic, (am I missing anyone? Nile Rodgers is a National Treasure.. certainly a Music Hall of Famer as is the outstanding talent of all these musicians and choreographers. Denny Terio!!! and the wonderful personality of Joe Causey. A dream-team if ever I saw one. Only a few "boneheads" in the audience.... my arm was scrapped by a Louis Vuitton buckle when the self-centered owner pushed through the crowd (I heard others being assaulted too) and a sparkly-topped vixen was trying to push me over to get ahead, claiming she was deserving of being on stage with the stars (NOT). Otherwise, the crowd was kind and considerate. Was thrilled to hear this event will repeat again! Sign me up.

The show was awesome. It was great to hear all of that great music. I love Joe Causi and trust that when he is involved you are sure to have a great time. This show brought back so many beautiful memories.....went with friends..........was the best time. The only bad part of the night was standing for all those hours. My advise to the women....don't wear heels!

Great show! Not many opportunities to go out "DANCING' anymore. We need more of this! I dont remember my parents in a psychiatrists office, they went out and lived! LEGENDS OF DISCO WAS GREAT! Once a year just is not enough!

Never stopped dancing all night. Will definitely go again !!

It was wonderful to hear and see these greats of the past boogie down. Definitely something I would pay for again. My only disappointment was the lack of musicians. It was a karaoke for the singers. Disco had some sick band action, and that was missing. Also, people were so obsessed with looking at, and making eye contact with the performers that there wasn't enough dancing during the sets for my taste. Other than those two things, it was great.

The Legends of Disco was so much fun! It was like a huge dance party.

the show and the atmosphere were fabulous. had a great time...no other music like DISCO to get you dancing all night...

eNJOYED OURSELVES TOTALLY. SO NICE TO SEE OUR AGE 55'S AND OVER AND UNDER DANCING ALL NIGHT LONG. THE SONGS WERE PERFECT. THE PERFORMERS WERE JUST LIKE WE REMEMBERED. BUT CHIC HAD TOO MUCH TIME AND TOO DRAGGED ON. WOULD LIKE TO SEE OTHER NAMES, LIKE DONNA SUMMER AND KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND, MORE LEGENDS BUT THE PLACE WAS ROCKING AND DANNY T. MADE IT HIS BUSINESS TO GET INTO THE CROWD EVEN IN THE UPPER ORCHESTRA WHERE WE SAT. MEET AND GREET AND AFTER PARTY SHOULD BE BETTER DEFINED.

THE CROWD WAS ELECTRIFIED. THE GROUPS AND SOUND AMAZING. WE WERE ALL TRANSFORMED BACK TO THE 70'S WHAT FUN!!!! WE ALL HAD THE BEST TIME, BUT THE MOST EXCITING MOMENT WAS GETTING TO DANCE WITH MR. " DANCE FEVER" HIMSELF.....DANNY TERIO ;)

All in all good show, not great. I think the producers have an opportunity for refinement/improvement for their next show, which I will try to attend. Good: Niles Rodgers Act Not as Good: Too much "filler" ("b", "c" and "d" tracks, the audience and show producer dancing on stage seemed too self indulgent, too many voids, show was missing enough substance. Niles went on at 11:00 pm and he was outstanding, the show started at 7:00. Many of the acts were the "one hit wonders" and when they were playing their less known hits the show lagged, they also played other artists current tracks/not disco. The night would have been much better if Niles went on at 9:00. Other Suggestions: Make the night about Pure Disco and "A" tracks even if they are not being performed by the original artist. Hire an amazing house band to play the greatest hits between a few high quality headline acts. Comp some Drama student to come in Disco attire. Comp local dance Schools to come in attire and disco dance. Offer door gift to any attending in Disco attire.

Legends of Disco was a fun goodtime evening and I was glad I was able to be there!

I never got to go to a disco because I was under age at the time. I had the best time last Sat. night. Everyone was in such a good mood. It was great to see the musicians I've been listening to most of my life in person. I certainly hope we get another chance to hear some legends of disco.

It was WONDERFUL to relive the good ole days for a night. Wonderfully done and the "Stars" were great ! Thanks!!

Disco music comes back to life and propelled me back 35 years at this event. Have seen The Legends of Disco at other venues, but the Hammerstein Ballroom created the dance excitement with a large dance floor and a VIP area for seating. The light show, sound and quick transition between acts made the evening fly by, with all the great songs from each act. Thank you for an evening with excitement, dance and all my favorite hits

Awesome time with my lady...Loved hearing those old great songs.. Will definitely go back next year..And hopefully, they'll be even more acts perfoming their classic hits!
