Love Emily West... especially at the Birchmere! Great venue for an intimate performance like her show. This was a rescheduled show, because of the DC Feb. blizzard, but she was well worth the wait. Love her candor and her genuine enjoyment of performing really comes across. She's going to be a BIG star one day.

I only discovered Emily West a few months ago when her CD was recommended to me on Amazon. I bought the CD and loved her voice so searched on Ticketmaster to see if she'd be touring in my area - she was, so I scooped up some tickets. I didn't expect to experience what I did during her show. She was charming, funny, down to earth, and she has a voice that puts many other artists to shame. I left that night wanting to see her again...SOON.

Emily West is such an amazing singer and songwriter. I just can't understand why she's not selling out. If you ever have the chance, go see her. Her voice has the ability to touch deeply into your heart and soul!

We drove in from West Virginia to see Emily. Emily walked out to the microphone stand, captivating in a period down, as Dustin settled in at the piano. Opening with "Fallen", she captured the audience and for the next 90 minutes, never let us go. The show was very personal and informal throughout. She joked with the crowd (including a fantastic impression of Mae West!) and delivered heartfelt material with soaring vocals, mixing songs from the album with new songs never before heard. Unlike many performers, who manage a carefully cultivated space, this experience was like having your amazingly talented friend come over and sing for you.

What a beautiful, fantastic singer with such an incredible range and virtuosity. She should've won AGT.

Highly recommend seeing her in concert. She's unbelievably talented - her voice will blow you away. She's also open, honest and funny - zero pretense. It's incomprehensible that she is not a mega star.

This was the third or fourth time the show was rescheduled. We were not sure which Emily West we were going to see: Country Emily, chanteuse Emily, soft-rock Emily, power balladeer Emily? At one point in the show, Emily acknowledged wondering what type of artist she is or seeks to be. The first 4 or 5 songs left us wondering if we had made a mistake. Then, Emily introduced us to the song that put her in the public eye(in our opinion)-"Chandelier" written by Sia--the song she sang on that unnamed(?) TV show. The show that caused her to cancel the first date. I guess choosing to not name the show implies some things about the show did not sit well with her. On the other hand, we would have not been there were it not for the show and I would bet that went for many others in the audience. Oh, by the way, Emily, you were robbed! Should have won! Emily hit her stride. She was warm and inviting. She was powerful and gentle. Funny and seemed genuinely happy to be there. This was the artist we came hoping to see. We both felt the show ended too soon....but, honestly, she could have sung another 1/2 dozen or more songs and we still would have felt that the show ended too soon. SHE IS THAT GOOD! There are only a handful of artists on today's music scene that have the "pipes" to do what Emily West does and only Jane Olivor comes to mind as someone who sings with such openness and, I think, vulnerability. Would the addition of a stand-up base, soft percussion and an acoustic guitar or strings make her show less intimate? I doubt it. Might it give some songs more impact? I think so. Is she as good as country artists like Jennifer Nettles, Martina and Trish? Oh, yeah! Can she belt like Aguilara and Streisand? Most assuredly. Can she interpret the music of others the way Eva Cassidy did? I hope to find out. IS THIS A PERFORMER THAT NEEDS TO BE SEEN? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Emily West was Amazing, fantastic, unforgettable, and divine. We had seats right next to the stage. Emily West's big voice sounded even better in person than on her CD or when she was on AGT! She sang original songs, covers, and more. The whole time being backed by a wonderful piano player, the man who produced her album. After the show, Emily came out to hang with her fans. I was able to get a hug from her, talk with her, and get her to autograph my copy of her CD. All in all the Emily West concert in Alexandria, VA was one of the best concert experiences I've ever had.

Wow, can she sing ! If you love timeless with a touch of old Hollywood glamour, she will not disappoint. We were amazed at how she could take any song, from any genre,as well as any time era and make it her own. A truly gifted and one of kind young lady. Not only was her voice such a joy to listen to, but she has such a delightful stage presence as well. Her pianist that accompanied her was amazing as well. Big talent and personality, yet humble and witty. She was an absolute delight ! Wow what a range. Emily could sing perfectly everything from Patsy Cline's "Crazy" to Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," to "Sisters" from The Color Purple, with the voice of the original artist, yet it was genuinely her own.

First, Emily West got ripped off on America's Got Talent! What an amazing voice, Emily West is a cross between Celine Dion and Faith Hill and prettier than both. Her voice can be powerfull but at the same time so soft and sweet. I saw her at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, and she was incredible! This is a voice and talent that deserves to be heard!!! Go see her if you get a chance!

I was introduced to Emily West through AGT where she showed her beautiful talent. When I heard she was touring I immediately purchased tickets. A January snow storm hit the day of the concert and it was postponed until this last Thursday. I always worry about seeing singers in concert, that what I saw on tv would not be as impressive. But I was completely blown away by how perfectly Emily West's voice actually sounded live. There was not a single note off key. She is as beautiful in person with a lovely personality. She sang a large variety of songs and each was a good as the one before. It was just her and her pianist on the stage. No over the top stage or special effects, just a great performer singing great songs. I will definitely see her again in concert and look forward to her next release. Simply put... I love her!

The concert was fantastic. Emily sounds exactly the same in person as on her CD. She's very entertaining besides being a great performer. She stayed afterwards to talk with everyone.

Very intimate venue. LOVED Emily West. Not a bad seat in the house. I would only attend a show with a seated venue at House Blues.
