Amy Grant & Michael W. Smith

The venue was clean, and comfortable. The workers were friendly, and helpful. The music was great. The show was warm, friendly, and fun. I had the pleasure of meeting Amy and Michael, which was fantastic! A great memory for me! Jordan Smith was perfect as usual.

We had a very nice evening with Amy Grant and Michael W. We have been to both of their shows but not together. Listening to them both sing their Christmas songs was a great way to get in the spirit of the holidays. Loved hearing her sing again, especially breath of heaven. Giant Center was friendly and easy to get to. Parking and leaving the lot was easy. Only complaint is 9.00 parking fee, you'll have to stop at a toll booth to pay.

An inspirational and awesome show, hopefully they return next year!!

It was an awesome concert. Played mainly their older stuff, which made it even better. All the songs that I spent high school and college listening to.

Amy and Michael put on a great show. They backed up each other and you can tell by their actions they have a secure personal relationship. Good mix or old and new music.

Amy and Michael were at the top of the chart. Even in the heat, the bands just carried on great. Would go see again tomorrow. Thank you for coming to Cary!

For my wife and I, the balance seemed to be off for Amy Grant and her band and backups. At times it was very hard to hear what she was singing with the backups and all the other instruments covering her up. The bass at times was very overpowering. When she sang low, there seemed to be some sort of distortion coming through. Maybe she was having an off night because of the heat but she forgot the lyrics a couple times as I recall. However, Michael W Smith was great and it seemed with less instruments and backups it was much easier to hear his voice come through. It just took too long to change from Amy's group to Michael's. Not sure why but the stage hands seemed confused.

Great performance. Weather was HOT, but that is to be expected in NC in July. Koka Booth was a great place. Looking forward to the next event.

It was a great night down memory lane with songs from the 80's & 90's plus new material that left me asking for more. Amy has this way of drawing the audience in so that you feel like you are in her living room and enjoying favorite songs with an old friend. She and MWS did a number of songs together interspersed with their own sets. I saw the concert in Franklin and am looking forward to seeing it again in Raleigh.

I love Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant to death. Their Christmas music is also some of my favorite things to listen to on the planet, but this concert was a complete and utter disappointment. The entire performance sounded like it was played out of my crappy monitor speakers, highs were distorted and several things came crackly out of the speakers. I don't know who to blame for this, but a better soundcheck had to be done. Also, I was overjoyed to hear that a full orchestra was playing, but the orchestra absolutely ruined the concert. Almost every note they played was out of tune. I don't know if this was because they were mic'd separately or if they just weren't prepared, but every run or high note the orchestra (violins in particular) played sounded like it was played by my third-grade orchestra on quarter-sized violins. This review has nothing against the artists themselves, but more against the quality of the sound, the mixing and the astonishingly bad orchestra that played (nothing compared to the one that accompanied Smith at Carnegie hall). Overall, not at all worth my money and my ears are still not thanking me.

These two individuals, particularly Michael W Smith, may lack enough draw for me if they were alone. However, they are both solid performers, the show flowed well, they complimented each other's work very well, and, it was a great evening in a great venue.

Amy and Michael are always great. (The two stars are for the venue.) We've been to several of their Christmas shows over the years. There was a very long, slow-moving line to get into the arena. We got to our seats a half hour after the show started and there were still a great number of people behind us. Though the entrance delay was certainly not the performers' fault, it seems they could have delayed the start of the show. Surely, they noticed the many empty seats ...

If Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith and Jordan Smith do another Christmas Concert together in 2018 - DON'T MISS IT - no matter what part of the country you may have to travel to see and hear it. This show was one of the Best ever that I have attended. It was both light hearted and touching at times. Moving and spiritually uplifting at others. We even had the joy of 'singing along' with these three very talented people. Just before the intermission we were given the opportunity to sponsor a child and release them from poverty through Compassion International. I made that commitment to change a child's life - as I changed my life in the process. God Bless.

I love Michael and Amy. The instruments were to loud. I love music but I don t understand why it has to be loud and wreck the spirit. Micheal s singing was over powered at times. He also seemed to be fighting a cold. After a while he sounded like himself. Amy was awesome. She was strong and wonderful. Jorden was a nice addition. The mics were really too loud for his strong voice He did an amazing job on o holy night.

It was a wonderful and warm Holiday concert. Amy and Michael were both excellent, but Jordan Smith was over the top. Would have loved to hear more from him.

The best Christmas present I ve ever received! My husband took me to this concert as a Christmas present. It was absolutely beautiful and brilliant! I LOVED the Hershey Symphony playing along with every song Smitty, Grant, & Smith did. Brought to tears a couple of the songs just because it was so beautiful! I had never heard Jordan Smith before, WOWEE what a talented singer!! A perfectly flawless performance and a joy-filled Christmas celebration! Thank you!!

The music at this concert was certainly excellent. Jordan Smith is a fabulous vocalist. However, based on Michael W. Smith's Christian witness, I expected much more Christian Christmas music, and less secular Christmas songs. The entire first half of the concert was all secular Christian songs, and not one mention of the birth of Jesus as the reason for the season. The second half of the concert finally began to sing about the birth of Jesus. This concert overall let me down because of the lack of focus on the birth of Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Excellent concert! The stage was festive and the evening celebrated so appropriately the reason for the season!

I would have to say this is the best Xmas concert I have ever attended. To see and hear Amy Grant and Micheal W Smith together was such a special gift. Jordon Smith was so much better hearing him in person. He has an unbelievable set of pipes!

Waited 1 hr in traffic to park and stood still 15 min on exit as well. Giant should include the $9 parking fee in with ticket price of $40 Show was too commercialized... Christ is for Christ- mas! I did like the second half with M W Smith...GOD OF MIRACLES song very Blessed and at least they were creative and fun on the commercialized standard songs. This is the 3rd year I ve attended Michael and Amy s Christmas concert! They do an amazing job and have put on a great show each year. Jordan Smith has a great voice and is a great addition.

This concert was the best Christmas concert I've seen. Both Michael and Amy were amazing. Jordan Smith was a great addition. The set, the orchestra, the back up singers, the song selection all made for a wonderfully worshipful way to celebrate Christmas.

I have seen Amy Grant live at past concerts. This was the first time at one of her Christmas concerts. It was just a joyful night! The songs were a great mixture of old and new ones. Michael W Smith and Jordan Smith were also just outstanding! We had seats on the floor just a few rows back from the stage. The venue was the perfect size to get in and out without issues as we had a 2 hour drive home after the concert! I would love to make this an annual tradition if Amy returns to the area again next Christmas!

I had gotten back stage passes and my dreams came true that night!! Ive known of Michael for 30 years and my dream was to see him in his Christmas concert and to meet him. I did both at this concert and showered him with gifts!! And as ALWAYS Michael knows JUST what to say to me at EVERY concert. I had total reconstructive ankle surgery yesterday so im laid up for 3 weeks. I got REALLY scared thinking of reality during the concert and JUST at that point...Michael spoke the exact words to comfort me...ALWAYS!! It was an emotional night for sure!!! And since i met him...i felt like i was sitting in my living room watching the concert. It was very personal as well!! AN AWESOME AWESOME NIGHT!! Cant wait for more next year!!! He NEVER disappoints!!! ❤❤❤

A beautiful night of music and love. The symphony backed songs were larger than life. Guest performer, Jordan Smith, was spectacular. A must see for the Christmas season!

Access to the venue was incredibly smooth. We found our seats with no issue. The musicians were amazing and the performance was extremely enjoyable. There was a wonderful spirit of kindness and consideration amongst fans in the audience. One of my favorite parts was when Amy Grant honored all veterans and family members in the audience. It was a beautiful tribute. I m glad I went.

Jordan Smith was just awesome! He was the best part of the show! Amy Grant and Michael Smith were enjoyable but I had a hard time hearing the words to the songs they were singing. Music was awesome and the lighting was beautiful. I would recommend to others but ensure Jordan Smith also performs, he made the show outstanding!!

A wonderful concert with a variety of songs and entertaining stories. Such talent on the stage. Enjoyed Jordan Smith also and his amazing voice. The set was beautiful, the symphony great and the singers spectacular. Put me in the holiday spirit.

Amy and Michael were full of fun and great music! First time hearing Jordan Smith, he is amazing!!

It was our first time to Nationwide Arena in Columbus and we were very impressed! As we entered Nationwide Arena we were immediately screened by Security (walk-through metal detectors, wands if you beep and bag checks). Security was very quick, thorough and polite - it didn't feel invasive but we felt very safe and welcome! The facility seemed state of the art. We appreciated having an option to ride the escalators up. At each and every seating section throughout the arena were attendants, very polite attendants. The common areas offered a fantastic selection of concessions such as pulled pork sandwiches, Italian Sausage, pizza, chicken baskets, etc. There was wine and over sized cans of beer, for us there was our preference of pop and water. There was also popcorn, candy and souvenirs. The restrooms were large and surprisingly immaculate! My wife thought she'd never get in during intermission but was surprised she was able to get in and out quickly. Very nice. Now for the show... OMG... Spectacular! The evening was a surprise outing for my wife, a big Amy Grant fan. We never heard of Michael W Smith or special guest Jordan Smith. Amy was awesome! Michael was tons of fun and wow could Jordan sing! I was there to make my wife happy but I had the time of my life! I have been to many concerts and enjoyed most of them but this was truly the most fun night out that I've ever had! There could not have been a better line-up. There could not have been a better venue. My only critique was skinny seats but that is the nature of public venues. If you are thinking about seeing these folks somewhere down the road... do it! You will love every minute of it. Enjoy!

Some of my earliest memories of music involve Amy and Michael. Like mosh little girls of the 80s/early 90s, I wanted to be Amy Grant. This was a pleasant and sometimes cheesy evening.

What a great night of music...though 80 degrees in Florida Michael and Amy brought the joy of Christmas to Tampa. It's a great show with Christian values. Jordan Smith was a delightful addition. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience I had at this Amy Grant and Michael W Smith Christmas concert! My beloved mother, who passed away when I was young, had a dream of seeing Amy Grant live! She wasn't able to but my sister and I were able to fulfill our mothers dream and see Amy in concert singing Christmas tunes! We had great seats aleady but something happened and we got moved to outstanding seats! This will definitely be a night that me and my sister will remember all of the days of my life !!

Amazing! If you ever get a chance to go to a Michael W. Smith Amy Grant Christmas concert, go! The surprise of the night was Jordan Smith. What an incredible voice. Can t recommend this enough.

Excellent concert! My daughter and I really enjoyed the music and songs of Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith and Jordan Smith, as well as the accompaniment of the Omaha Symphony. Attending this concert, which was opening night for the tour, was an excellent way to "kick off" the Christmas season! Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith shared that they have been in ministry for over 30 years, and you could tell by their chemistry that they still remain good friends. I have never heard Jordan Smith sing, and his rendition of "O Holy Night" was phenomenal. The lighting and the background provided by Balsam Woods also added to the "festive" holiday feeling. I really appreciated the venue projecting the concert on the screens, which meant that there was not a bad seat in the auditorium. If you are within 3 hours of this show, it will be well worth the trip!

Emotional, interactive, beautiful stage! Jordan, Amy, and Michael were fantastic! Every positive word in the dictionary should be used for this event, and that wouldn't be enough!

From the opening song, we felt the musicians engage all of us in Worship as we CELEBRATED the Christmas Season together. Jordan Smith was a AMAZING addition. Not only is his voice brilliant, he also maintained a spirit of HUMILITY. We enjoyed the sing along portion, as well. We loved the perpetual smiles on the faces of Michael W and Amy G both while they were performing and while they keep good eye contact and showed support when the other artists sang or played their instrument.

This show was perfect. Amy was her usual funny, serious, wonderful self. She is the real thing and seems to be just one of us. Michael was the most warm, selfless God fearing person. The orchestra, back up singers, guitarist, drummer were perfect. Jordan Smith....well what can you say, the purest voice I have ever heard short of Karen Carpenter. His rendition of "Mr. Grinch" was unbeatable. No one has ever done it better. I cannot say enough good about this show. AND IT STARTED RIGHT ON TIME.

My wife and I have followed Amy and Michael from the early 80's and there is something magic when they perform together especially at Christmas. It was the most moving and enjoyable Christmas concert I have been to in years!

Amy Grant and Michael W Smith playing at the Fox theater was amazing, The Orchestra and the singers and plus the Christmas back drop was beautiful , it felt like we spent the evening with family singing , all the great memories from their concerts in the past and just a great way to start the spirit for the Christmas Holiday, feeling truly blessed to of had this amazing seats. Not to forget their guest singer Jordan Smith was truly in angelical .

You must see this concert if it is in a city near you! Looking forward to seeing all three of these people in concert in the future. Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Jordan Smith delivered an incredible show with a terrific blend of Christmas songs. The Northwest Symphony was amazing and the acoustics for this show were the best I have heard in a concert in a long time--clear vocals and perfect volume! All three performers had wonderful energy and camaraderie onstage! We were blown away by the production quality and everyone appeared to be very happy with the show. If you enjoy Christmas music you will LOVE this show. Michael W. Smith's humor and Amy Grant's storytelling helped make it feel as though the setting was much more intimate than the large arena we were in.

This was an incredible show! The orchestra and backup singers were just perfect to set the stage for these 2 very talented artists. Adding Jordan Smith, winner of The Voice, was icing on the cake. The show was fun, the artists were impeccably dressed, and the stage lighting was magical all in itself!! There was also a Christmas carol sing-along which was amazing! I would definitely recommend this show to anyone, it just really brings you into the Christmas season, even though it was a week before Thanksgiving! It just sets the mood for a happy heart, bringing back memories of your childhood, and the wonderful carols that have been written for this magical time of year!! SUPERB!!!!

When I bought the tickets I did not understand it was a Christmas show and I was in no way disappointed. Including the performers and conductor and full orchestra I counted a 70 people on stage at one time. Grant & Smith did songs individually and together and the show we saw had a special guest; Jordan Smith. Jordan was the winner of the Voice in season 9 and has an amazing voice. Lots of fun and Christmas cheer.

These two artists have written, composed, and recorded many of today's Christmas standards, and these songs will continue to play long after we are gone if Christmas is still legal. It was a very musically satisfying experience. The Greensboro Symphony was a heavenly backdrop, and the traveling band and BGVs were outstanding. MWS and AG are both masters of the stage. They are relaxed and are themselves. You feel like you are listening to your family members. I don't know how they find time to do a tour like this in December, but I truly appreciate it.

The musicc and the testimonies were incredible. We had great seats so we could see everything. My granddaughter who is 9 years old totally loved it. She loves music and wants to learn to play many instruments. The Symphony Orchestra was awesome. Thank you for a great evening of Christmas music!!!

Excellent show. Love these two singers together. They are so natural and relaxed together. When Amy was leaving the stage at the final ending I yelled "Hi Amy" she actually stopped - looked up into the audience smiled and waved. Loved the show.

These two set the bar high for a Christmas performance. They have so much great music to select from. I really appreciated Amy performing so many of the songs from her first album, still my favorite. Smitty is also such a great writer and performer. Both have such talent and heart, and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing them do so much of my favorite Christmas music. The Dallas Pops was awesome as well.

This concert was fabulous! MWS & Amy Grant made you feel like you were in the living room reminiscing about Christmases past and singing favorite Christmas songs. BTW, Michael's new Christmas collaboration CD is awesome!

The Amy Grant/Michael W. Smith show was fabulous. Having Dallas Pops Orchrstra there just added the icing on the cake. Please bring the whole show back next year!

Amy and Michael were amazing. I wish they would tour together more often. The music selections were perfect!

Has Amy herself put it, "This night is magical!!" I love how Michael included songs from past and his brand new album. The interaction between the two artists was very well done. The lights were perfect. The acoustics of the Murat Theatre are amazing! And 3 hrs worth of music is incredible! Yes, it was a little pricey, but worth every penny!!!!

This was my 3rd time seeing the 2Friends Tour, I saw 2 in the spring and the Ames date this fall. GREAT show. They both did an exceptional job. Michael changed it up a little from the spring tour and Amy coming straight off of Strep throat was phenominal. I have seen her some 20+ times since 1985 and she just pulls it out every time.

I don't even know where to begin....the show was everything I hoped it would be! They sang a variety of songs from all their previously released albums. The show was 3 hours long and you were completely entertained the entire time! If you are an Amy Grant &/or Michael W Smith fan, this show is a MUST SEE. If they ever tour together again and come within driving distance, I will go in a heartbeat!! Bottom line is that I LOVED every minute of the show!! :)

I was so excited to hear that Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant were coming to Bismarck. The Civic Center has been doing a great job of getting top acts lately. I've heard several friends lament that they regretted not going to this concert. I have NO regrets. It was a very inspiring and uplifting concert. I hope that it greatly benefited the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation and their efforts!

A sparse crowd, but those of us who suffered with the heat were treated to a great show. I was lucky enough to see these two earlier this year in Jacksonville. This show was a bit shorter, but performed with equal intensity. These two light up the stage, both as a pair and individually.

Our sons were visiting with their respective fiance and girlfriend with my father-in-law and we decided this would be a wonderful family event to attend. Everyone loved it - Jordan Smith blew us away! What a wonderful way to kickoff the holidays!

Wow. What a great show. I have seen them in concert about 20- years and forgot just how good they are. Adding Jordan Smith was a GREAT addition. I would highly recommend anyone go see this. What a FANTASTIC way to celebrate Christmas.

I loved the concert. All of the performers were Great and very down to Earth. My one complaint was the fact that both Amy Grant and Micheal W. Smith solicited funds for a Compassion project they were involved in. I think it is great that they are passionate about this cause I just didn't feel it was the right place to get people involved. Poor planning.

Went to see their Christmas show and it was awesome! They were both engaging and playful and the evening disappeared in their beautiful music. Special Guest Jason Smith has a voice that effortlessly fills the arena and is as pure a singer as I ve ever heard.

How can you top Michael W. Smith & Amy Grant? Add the Madison Symphony Orchestra and Jordan Smith. Completely in the Christmas spirit now!

Being able to watch 3 top performers in one show was unbelievable. Add a symphony orchestra and you get top notch performances with a lot of fun added in. The bonus was that it lasted 2 1/2 hours! Something you don't see anymore. Great way to start the Holidays! My wife thought it was one of the best Christmas gifts.

Had an amazing time at this concert. Michael was his magnificent self, he never disappoints. Jordan Smith has an incredible voice. Love hearing him sing. Though Amy Grant has a good voice, my friend and I were not impressed by her. We felt the tight leather pants and the hula hoop scene were not how a Christian woman should portray herself. The gyrating and turning her butt to the audience as she hula hooped was unsettling, to say the least. We cried a few times at the songs and video. Just can't get enough of Michael. Planning on seeing the Christmas concert next year, just hope Amy is a little more modest. You can still have a lot of fun and entertain without that stuff.

The venue and seating were great; the concert was so very enjoyable and full of Chrstmas joy; the full orchestra was amazing; and the background lighting was spectacular. Michael W and Amy will be back next year. Yea!!

Great concert for family. Sound and arena were excellent. The guest star Jordan Smith (past winner of The Voice) really knocked it out of the park though - wow! New fav there! Michael and Amy are singers, legendary song writers and composers, but Jordan brought the power vocals to the evening. Goosebumps.

Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant are the best way to get into the Christmas spirit. The show featured a lot of the classic Amy and Michael Christmas classics with lush orchestrations by their longtime musical director and members of the Grand Rapids Symphony and other local musicians. The addition of Jordan Smith from The Voice was also a nice touch. Great way to usher in the snow and the Christmas season.

My wife and I loved how both artists spent the entire concert on stage switching off on signing songs but when the individual wasn't singing they were playing an instrument or performing some other interaction with the crowd. The combination of the three voices were terrific and their set list was wonderful. We also loved the booming voice of Jordan and how well he was able to carry a high lengthy note.

Great music. by Amy and Michael. Wonderful to hear Jordan Smith singing as well. Also touching tribute Michael sang for a mutual close friend who's wife recently passed away.

Second row front seats. This concert only gets better with age. Our third time and hopefully we will be there next year.

Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant are the god father and mother of Contemporary Christian Music as far as I'm concerned as their music brought me to be a consumer of this form of music. I have seen both of them in concert settings before and they are truly "real" people and are a joy to see in person. If you are near a concert venue and trying to decide if you should go see them, do it! It will be a blessing and well worth it! Jordon Smith was a great compliment to this concert as well. His voice is amazing! The Madison Symphony was awesome as well!

So glad GR brought back this Christmas duo! They are so genuine and down to earth. I am always blown away by their talent of amazing music. Jordan Smith fits perfectly into this amazing team!

Overall the show was amazing and Jordan Smith added another element to the show bringing more fun. Amy Grant singing and doing the hula hoop was great, showed she still has it!! The local band was also very good, I am in awe that they can come together the day of a huge show like this and sound like they have been playing together for years. Amy Grant and Michael W Smith clearly work well together and Jordan blended right in and still made his mark on the night. I am so glad I attended, it makes the Christmas season that much brighter!! This concert was wonderful. Michael W Smith is a talented musician.The music selections were great and Jordan was a great addition. I thought our Wisconsin Symphony did a great job, too.

We took in this concert with two other couples, and we all agreed at the end that this concert, that it may have been one of the 'best' Christmas Concerts we have ever been too. To get six people to agree on one thing is very difficult, but this one was definitely a no brainier. Amy, Michael and Jordan were the perfect mix of styles and bang for the buck entertainment. They truly were successful in mixing Worship with entertainment. Can't say enough good things about all 3 and how they each brought there own special form of music to the table. They said they were coming back to VanAndel next year and I will one of the first in line to get tickets. I suggest you do the same.

The concert was wonderful. Their special guest was amazing. I do wish they would have left more of Santa Clause out of their songs and sang more Christ centered music because that's what Christmas is about. I also wish Michael would have sung Agnes Dei.

We loved the show! Amazing orchestra....awesome singing. Jordan Smith is such a huge talent and it was fun to have him as the special guest. The Christmas music got us into the spirit of Christmas! Thanks Amy, Michael, and Jordan for such a wonderful evening!
