Ada Dyer and the a Band
Ada Dyer and the A Band Concert Schedule and TourSoulful R&B singer Ada Dyer is bringing her commanding voice and endearing personality to selected venues in 2015. Dyer's clear and powerful voice is every bit as impressive as icons like Whitney Houston and Stephanie Mills, and her nostalgic concerts transport ticket buyers back to soul's '60s and '70s heyday. Dyer is probably one of the few singers that can take songs by Aretha Franklin or Elton John and truly make them her own, handling originals and covers with equal flare. With jazz underpinnings courtesy of her talented backing group The A Band, her performances are a treat for fans of all genres -- a blast from the past that manages to feel fresh and engaging.

If you are going to this performance do so for the band and not the singer. I understand that live music is impromptu but she does more talking than singing and her singing is questionable. The musicians however we're great mainly the keyboard and the bass player they made the performance. Keep in mind that even though you purchase your tickets for this show there is a $20 minimum purchase on food or beverage.

Best night in New York with our best friends! Really nice and great atmosphere and a very good performance despite the cold of the ADA DYER. The A BAND was great! Good food and good wine and very friendly staff and serving. We will be back at B.B King next time we're in New York.

Ada Dyer and the band were very good. The music both vocally and instrumental were top notch. It was a lot of fun. It would have been better if there had been a place to dance during the performance. I just got to seat dance.

My girlfriend and I went to NYC for New Years Eve. However, the night before (12/30) we attended a Broadway show and followed it up with what was supposed to be an excellent show by Ada Dyer & The "A" Band. Let me start by saying the band was quite good. However, Ada Dyer was horrific. We are unsure whether she was drunk, on drugs or both. She was clearly on something. She fell on stage twice, forgot the words to the songs, and screeched rather than sang most songs. At one point she even had the audacity to tell the crowd that she was embarrassed and we deserved to have our money refunded. She apologized at least 20 times during the short 1 hour show.

The club was nice with pretty good food and drink. We were disappointed however with Ada and the A band. First if all it was billed as R&B, Motown and Soul, which they reslly didnt play that at all. The band was so loud that we could hardly hear Ada singing, it seemed like she was screaming over them. Also she didn't seem to know the words to the songs which went on for so long that we forgot what the song even was. All and all not what we were expecting and we were disappointed.
