R and P played a packed show on Saturday night, killing it on every level and making sure that their audience was having a fantastic time. Their lively, fun, yet technically professional music was the perfect vibe for the understated ambience of the venue, the Mercury Lounge. I want to particularly congratulate Dylan Hume on his versatility, enthusiasm, and high standard of musical excellence.

I am a big fan of this local Bronx band. In this album release concert they played the 13 songs on their new CD that has been two years in the making. Exquisite fine tuned harmonies, blow you away lyrics that bypass your brain and grab your core. All to a kick ass reggae rhythm that makes you move. There are seven musicians and they added a cello and violin specially for this performance. Powerful and filling. I love these guys.

Rocky and The Pressers brought their incredible reggae-style sound in their typical upbeat, energetic fashion and just plain rocked. The band simply drips talent and never fail to deliver a great show.

Rocky and the Pressers have come a long way in a short time, and the show they put on Saturday night was fast-paced, polished, professional and powerful. The harmonies were rich and complex, the instrumentation layered and constantly changing, the vocals were clear and supple - a total feast for the ears, and for the brain as well. This is not just your ordinary feel-good stomping music; it's intelligent, sophisticated, unusual and sometimes dark, always interesting, and, yes, you still feel good. Get a CD while you can, you won't be disappointed.

Great show. Eric, the lead singer, was loose and relaxed. Beautiful vocal harmonies and tight arrangements. Horns! The sound was well balanced.
