All groups did not play long enough , sound was very distorted, excluding the Winter Bros. Bands. Overall I enjoyed show (I love all the bands not real fond of Mountain but they were good) just upset with sound quality. Great to see all headliners minus Leslie West play together.

What a special event this show was.The line-up was spectacular.Guitar gods, appearing together was such a special show to witness. First off,was Kim Simmonds,of Savoy Brown. He played a blistering 30 minute set that set the pace for the evening.Next up was Leslie West.Although now in a wheelchair,Mr. West, gave a solid hard and heavy performance. His set included Nantucket Seligh Ride,Mississippi Queen and a beautiful National Anthem. Next was Rick Derringer. He opened with Still Alive and Well and of course Rock n Roll Hoochie Koo.This was followed by Edgar Winter. He performed Free Ride,Tobacco Road and Frankenstein. The headliner of the evening was Mr.Johnny Winter.

This was one of the best blues rock shows I ever attended. It was like being back at the Filmore East where I saw all the performers over 40 years ago. Age took nothing from the4se guys. They're still great.

This show was fraught with problems from short set lists to uneven sound quality. There were 5 acts on the bill, starting at 7:30. That left approx. 30 minutes per act which means 4 songs on average, not counting set changes between. Kim Simmons was great, he played a rocking set and had great sound. Leslie West was terrible and I had the impression he didn't really want to be there. I saw him with Mountain years ago and they were great then. His sound was muddy and he kept fiddling with his controls. Rick Derringer had four songs. His sound was excellent but his song list had two clunkers, beginning with a song about Jesus which had people dismayed. The next was a patriotic song that didn't fly in the room. He then did Hang on Sloopy, which didn't belong in a blues show. His rendition of RnR Hoochiekoo was excellent. Edgar Winter came out rocking and had great set, including a blazing Frankenstein. Johnny Winter was playing excellent. Unfortunately the sound made it hard to hear his playing over the rest of the band and his vocals were nonexistent. He would be better off doing a solo set which would emphasize his incredible talent.

The second show I ever went to at the Spectrum way back when was headlined by Edgar Winter with Rick Derringer. Bad Company was the opening band on their first US tour. I had never seen Johnny Winter or Leslie West and have always been in awe of their talent. I honestly had never heard of Kim Simmonds, but had heard of Savoy Brown. Although I was a little bummed to see how old these guys are, (means I'm getting up their too!) but, I had a blast. My lady and I were up and dancing towards the end.

Great concert but it did make me feel old seeing Lesley West in a wheel chair and Johnny Winters being escorted to a chair and sitting for most of his concert. All great rockers that put on a great show. I'm still mixed about Lesley West bass player. Too much jumping around that took away from Lesley
