Best concert i've seen in a very long time! He interacted with the crowd for quite a while.

Our first opportunity to see Chubby Checker and he was amazing. Could not believe he went down into the audience and was dancing with them for a good amount of time and he still has the moves! When back on stage he had the audience participating in the songs and it was wonderful to see everyone knowing the songs and singing along. It was a great night to be had!

This was one of the best feel good concerts I've been to in a while! The rhythm and flow was awesome. Chubby can still get his audience involved! I was worn out but in a good fun way! His band was awesome!!!

Chubby Checkers Show was full of excitement from beginning to end. Being a professional entertainer myself for 25 yrs. I kept looking for bloopers and found none. He is a seasoned performer and a real showman with lots of audience participation. He performed the Huckle Buck with 10 ladies chosen by whom ever made it to the stage first. He huckeled bucked each lady on the stage by girating and bumping. Imagine now some of these ladies were in their 60s and 70s .As Chubby said we have come a long way since the 50s and 60s. Would I go see him again YES! and so would my husband and friend that was with us. We had a fun time reliving that music. TY

I first saw Chubby in person down South when I was 19 or 20. Have enjoyed his music through the years following. Naturally the Twist is his signature song, but he does justice to every song with such overwhelming energy. Fun was had by all and we didn't want the show to end. He is a wonderful entertainer and very personable. I was totally thrilled to see him again. Five of us family members went. My hopes is to go see him again and encourage as many friends and family as possible to go along. Unless you experience the joy of seeing him, it is hard to explain .

He was fabulous! What a great time we all had! We had never seen Chubby live before and didn't know what to expect. It was great!

This guy was born in 1941and still has the voice I remember from The Twist when it came out in 1959. He is energetic, personable and guves more than your moneys worth. For 25 bucks we were second row from the stage and the seats could be triple that price and stil worth the cost. Do not eat at the pub, the service stinks, the food is so-so and 3 out 4 beers requested were out of stock.

Chubby Checker came out onto the stage about 8PM. He never stopped for a moment for an hour and a half. He sang, danced, got the audience involved. His choice of songs brought back somany memories. A joy filled concert.

Chubby Checker does an incredible fast paced show. He seems ageless. His voice is as strong as ever and he has as much energy as a teenager.

Chubby is my age ... so I didn't expect such a high energy show ... I'd love to know how he keeps in such great shape ... Do I need to tour ? It is truly one of the best shows I've seen ... my guests agreed wholeheartedly ! He was pure Joy and what an audience pleaser ... I couldn't believe he could draw everyone in so easily ... He was truly exciting !

WOW- Never in my 48 years have I experienced such a wonderful concert! It was the best family entertainment I have attended in a very long time. I can't wait til he comes back this way. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys the oldies...they were dancing in the isles!

great seats very close up. Chubby great voice great band...lots of fun...audience participation. one of the best event shows . Wife was hesitant about but loved the show. got to meet him.

First time appearance for Chubby Checker in Niagara Falls, NY and I would say it was the best performance i have seen in years. Chubby still had his voice and signature moves. It's Huckabuck and Pony Time

I bought these tickets for my parents as a gift. They absolutely loved the show. Chubby put on a fantastic show & they can't wait until he comes back.

Chubby is a great entertainer! He still has the moves after all these years. He sang song after song and gave his performance his all. He even stayed after to sign autographs and meet his fans. We met him and he is just as personable as his smile!! We went with our Mom who is his age! She loved it. The Birchmere was a great place to see him as you had an excellent view no matter where you sat.

Had a blast. Would see him again in a minute!!!!!!!

Took my mother to the show as a birthday gift. I didn't think I would enjoy the show as much as I did. Chubby's energy is magnetic. His voice is as strong and clear as when he recorded his hits. The band was tight. Highlight of the night? Going on stage and dancing with Chubby!

Amazing. Chubby came out full throttle for the first hour going from song to song without missing a beat. A sheer joy.

He was super. Went for an hour and half with no break and sang so many great hits. Got the fans involved. Couldn't have been more fun!!!!!!!!

He never stopped dancing and singing - one song right after the other. Very high energy with lots of audience participation. I sang, clapped, laughed and twisted the night away. I'm not a great fan of oldies shows, but this one didn't take itself too seriously and it turned out to be great fun. This show was full of audience participation, and Cubby Checker seemed to be having as much fun as the rest of us.

Didn't realize the great music that has escaped the generation of today. Chubby Checker has and always be an icon in music.

I was surprised to see what good shape Chubby is in and how good he sounded. Even more, I loved how warm and funny he was and how he worked the audience shaking hands all around the theater! This was a totally enjoyable concert!

Chubby Checker is an AMAZING performer! After all these years, he can still dance and sing like no other! He was moving around that stage like he was 20 years old! He looks great! He had the audience going and he kept the audience involved in the show! He also did an autograph signing at the end and he is the sweetest, down to earth man! I LOVE YOU, CHUBBY!!!!

The show was awesome ! Mr. Checker put on a great, non-stop show. He was full of energy and sounded great. I was impressed that he came off the stage and shook hands and danced with everyone in the audience that wanted to. 67 ?? HUH more like 47. I'm 47 and being one of the youngest in the audience didnt know what to expect but it was great. I would definatly go see him perform again !!! I now wish I had stayed after to get an autograph.

The energy that he brought to the audience made for a fabulous night of fun. His interaction with the audience, allowing participatience from the crowd made the night more enjoyable. Chubby kept the crowd in a state of fulfilment with his non stop performance, that is something that not of performers can do. I would love to see Chubby Checker again.

A solid Hour of pure entertainment. Chubby never stopped moving, dancing and singing and he still has a voice. Can't say the same about WAR. When I bought the tickets it was to see WAR. The Band was great, but there was way too much talking and too little music, we left about half way through.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! THE SHOW WAS VERY GOOG, NONE STOP ENTIRE TIME HE WAS ON STAGE. CAME OUT AND GREETED SO MANY. LOVE YOU CHUBBY!!!!

I loved the combination of the two artists. First of all they are both seem to be timeless in their ages. They put on a wonderful show while reaching out to the audience. whether it be twisting or singing along. Add a little humor into the shows and it becomes magic. Was very interesting to see the diversity of the age groups in the sudience, young, middle and young at heart.

Chubby Checker is still a great performer. He sang all his old songs and many cover songs from when he was singing his songs the first time. There was never a dull moment. He faded from one song to the next, non-stop. It left me wishing that the performance was longer (1.5 hours). I would recommend this to anyone over 60 or someone who listened when their older brother or sister played Chubby's records.

We were expecting the twist song and not much more. What a misconception, he was fantastic. He captured the crowd almost instantly with his personality, many songs, etc. We Highly recommend his show!

He worked it like it was a casino crowd, getting the fans involved into the music. At 76,he preformed like a 26 year old, and the crowd loved it.

Still smiling so wonderfully and loving every minute as he shared his talent and self to the audience. One of the best and most outstanding performances I've seen where the star freely showed his genuine love for what he was doing and for the fans who came to see him. A true performer of good wholesome entertainment. So glad I was there to appreciate this first hand.

We saw Chubby Checker at the Sunfest in Ocean City, Maryland. We went just to have something different to do since he was a little bit before my time but we were oh so glad we did! He puts on a fabulous show and it was such a pleasure to see so many older folks truly enjoying themselves! Thank you for a wonderful night out, Chubby!

Glad I got my tickets early as the show was sold out.. Chubby was great as well as his band. The crowd was really into the music. Chubby was so personable walking through the crowd, bringing people up on stage, and sharing a few personal stories. Chubby brought the house down finishing the show with The Twist. I'm still singing it in my head! Lastly, there were young people in the audience who I saw singing along with the oldies who really seemed to enjoy the show as well as the older generation. Good entertainment for the ticket price.

Couldn't have asked for a better nite at the beach. Beautiful weather and old time rock and roll. Chubby is a great entertainer who really kept the audience entertained for a full two hours. Lots of old time favorites, the band really seemed to have fun. Chubby still has it!

He's still got it - the voice, the moves, the crowd engagement! He did a great job of interacting with the audience, and there was never a lull. Not only did he sing his own hits, he also performed some other artists' hits. His band is very talented, too. Get ready to be entertained!

The night we saw the show the Spinners opened for Chubby Checker. I told my wife, "I don't see how Chubby can top that performance." Well, let me say from the moment he walked on stage he owned the crowd. The Spinners, as great as they were, really were a true warm up for this star. Chubby Checker has a presence and charisma that glues your focus to him instantly. He also has one of the very best show bands I've seen and heard. He performed an eclectic mix of songs from his era by a variety of artists including Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly. He made their songs his own, but clearly captured their spirits. He performed Elvis better than I have seen some professional imitators do and you really felt, at moments, Elvis was in the building along with Buddy Holly and the others. He came into the large audience several times and had its members in the palm of his hands. Of course,the big finale centered on the twist. including the moments when he had at least 30 men on stage twisting. The way he orchestrated their performances was amazing as was his ability to conduct his band no matter where he was or what he was doing. A super performance and entertainment value. I knew all the songs, but even if I hadn't I can't imagine not being blown away by this high energy show.

Surprised at this AMAZING N INSPIRING performer from start to finish! He is 74 yrs young and he SANG, DANCED, ENTERTAINED like no one I have ever seen! I am a RN and work in a Retirement/Rehad Center. HE WAS AN INSPIRATION to me in so many ways...his MEMORY, his SINGING, his ENERGY, his DANCING & moves, his PERFORMING, his contagious JOY, & his PERSONABILITY! He reminded me what Senior Citizens can still do in so many areas....a TRUE INSPIRATION to me working with seniors for their care, motivation, involvement, joy in aging gracefully! He talked, visited and interacted with the guests like I HAVE NEVER SEEN. His music is as GREAT as ever! But his personality n performance EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS!! HOPEFULLY I WILL SEE HIM AGAIN!

The concert was nice but not as. good as one I saw in past.I think he involved the audience to much instead of doing song his self.Also The Spinners were good but I think they just went to long.But all in all it was a nice concert.

Love his passion for his music, energy, voice and dance moves. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.

Chubby Checker was so much fun. I moved around so much to the beat of his music and I smiled and laughed so much. He is so engaging with his audience. Also all the throwback music makes me think of more innocent times. If you get a chance go see a legend.

I am not a regular concert goer, but this lived up to my expectations and was wonderful. At age 74, he can still sing like he was in his 20s. The audience participation may have stretched a little long, but otherwise, it was fantastic.

Chubby Checker put on a great show. For a man of his age his energy level was amazing. His oldie but goodies were enjoyable and his voice was surprising strong. The way he interacted with the audience made the show. The whole placed rocked the entire hour and one-half that he performed. Strongly recommend.

What a fun, lively, upbeat concert. It was just what I was looking for to celebrate my birthday! Chubby had a great rapport with the audience.

He still has it! He sang for 1 1/2 hours and danced his way through the audience. Afterwards you could have your picture taken with him.

Awesome show and performance by Chubby and his band. My mom and I enjoyed it very much. It was great to see Chubby is still able to sing just as good as he did when he was younger given he turned 74 the night of the show. They presented him a cake too which was sweet. Everyone there truly enjoyed themselves. It was wonderful to see how the audience participated and how Chubby got everyone involved in his show. I am 46 years old and I went with my 69 year old mother. I love music from her era so this was a very enjoyable experience for both of us!!

What a night. Chubby Checker came out singing and never took a breath for an hour & 45 minutes. He sang all the oldies we grew up with so you won't be disappointed. He spent a lot of time in the audience dancing with everyone. Of course, everyone was waiting for "The Twist", and he ended the show with this great song. Everyone was up doing the twist! After the show, Chubby held a Meet and Greet that really showed what a great guy he is! There must have been hundreds of fans who stayed for the Meet and Greet. It took us 2 hours to get through the line. He gave everyone as much time as they wanted - taking pictures, signing autographs and strolling down memory lane. I jokingly told Chubby that the only thing missing was Cousin Brucie. He smiled and said he sees Cousin Brucie a couple of times a year. Great show. You will not be disappointed. It was an amazing evening - all for a big $35 ticket price!!!

He was awesome, coming out into the audience and dancing with fans. Singing his hits - old and new (check out his new "Changes"). The fans were on their feet and in the aisles twisting and dancing. It was a rocking good time!!!

This was the third time I saw Chubby Checker perform and did he ever perform! He's still got it! In fact, he sounds better now that he is older than when he was young. His voice has a rasp to it and I LOVE IT!! He invited me on stage with him twice. He is a gentleman and a dynamic performer. I appreciate the way he interacts with the crowd. Whoever missed this concert - it was a shame! He was great - he had lots of energy, sang all nite and could still "BOOGIE" and twist. I ought to know as I followed him through the crowd and then he called me up on stage to dance with him! OH WHAT A NIGHT!!! I was FUN, FUN, FUN!!! He still has a great voice and knows how to keep the crowd going!

Chubby Checker put on an amazing show and really got people going. The crowd was pumped and he got many people involved and on stage to do the twist. Definitely had a blast at this one. Met many awesome people there as well.

Chubby Checker performed at Wheeling Casino. I hit a few small jackpots while I waited there for the show to begin. None of those jackpots compared to the jackpot I hit when Chubby Checker brought the stage to life. Audience anticipation, enthusiasm and participation was a force that cannot be imagined if you were not there. We sang,clapped,chanted and danced with him. He came down into the audience and touched hands that we may never wash again!! He brought our youth, and vitality back to us for those magical moments On Sept. 3, 2009.

Enjoyed ever minute of the show! Chubby is a great performer and sung the great song. The band did a good job. It was the best show I have been to lately.

An absolute amazing show he is fantastic he is such a people person made the show unbelievable if you get a chance to see him I recommend you do so just twisting The Night Away!!!!

He went non stop for an hour and a half ! His back up band was great too ! He pulled many audience members to dance with him on stage . If you like rock n roll you will love this concert - 4 instead of 5 stars only because a costume change with a little longer concert time and variety (ex a few group vocals ) ps he signs autographs too !

Great performance! Best performer ever. Show started at 8:00PM and he never stopped until 9:40PM. Continuous songs and entertainment. Will be here again when he returns.

He has been doing this since 1959 and hasn't slowed down a bit. The show started on time, ran for over 90 minutes and it was nonstop. Chubby has great audience chemistry, gets people up and out of their seats and makes you a part of the show. Great!

I would highly recommend seeing Chubby Checker in concert! The price was excellent and we got more than our money's worth. Chubby was dynamic, sang right straight through from beginning to end of concert. He interacted beautifully with the audience. He shared information about himself, things I had never heard before. Just so dynamic, audience friendly, I couldn't have asked for a better concert! Go see Chubby and watch him twist, he is still cool!

The venue was excellent. Chubby Checker s performance was awesome.

The Genesee is a great venue for a music show with very good acoustics & this was a great show. Obvious that these performers were there to entertain even though it was a bitterly cold night before New Years when the audience size was not ideal. They each had their own band and can't believe they made much money on the show but gave it their very best. Mary Wilson performed despite having the flu. Could tell it was affecting her initially but gained strength by the audience response to her performance. By the end of the show she was performing strong. The highlight was when she invited audience members onstage as backup dancers while she sang a medley of Supremes hits. She also shared stories of her time with the Supremes. Martha Reeves was also strong but had fewer hit songs. Chubby Checker was the star of the show and his voice & physicality were very strong. He sang his hit tunes as well as other hits from other legends of his era. He had an extremely talented 5-piece band who although much younger than him, complemented his singing & dancing style. At one point he went into the audience to dance with audience members. The highlights were his last 2 songs - Twist & Twist Again. He brought a few woman onstage to Twist with him. If you are a lover of older rock & roll as well as the Motown sound, you need to see these legends while you can. The average audience size was senior, but we were dancing in the aisles and sore the next day....but it was well worth it!

The evening we saw them in Chicago, I believe it was 1 or 2 degrees above zero.To see these folks still on the road I appreciate and applaud their resilience. I heartily recommend their show.

This show was much better than we expected. Chubby Checker is amazing ! He has been performing since 1958, He's got to be in his 70tys He looks incredible! ,He still looks,sings and dances like he's 40 years old . Everyone was on their feet ..Great show !

Sit thru Mary Wilson and Martha Reeves. (We almost walked out) So glad we stayed. Chubby puts on a great show. What a classy entertainer! At 76yrs He is doing the twist with ladies in the audience. He really gets the audience participating. Very enjoyable evening after all.

I have attended many retro concerts over the years but I have never smiled as much or enjoyed myself as much as I did with Chubby Checker. The man is absolutely charming, still has a good voice with excellent range, has a great set of musicians, and is so charismatic that the evening flew by. I would go see him again any time because he gives you more than your money's worth. Highly recommended.

We sat in the first row (center) and was never more than 5 to 10 feet away from him the entire evening. We got to shake his hand a couple of times. What I learned was he is more than an entertainer, but someone who genuinely cares about his audience. Finally, I can't believe I got these 2 tickets at face value($49) thanks to the Ticketmaster representative.

This show was awesome. He did a good job of getting the audience involved & would love to go see him again. I strongly recommend this show. Its good exercise also. LOL

Chubby performed for at least 80 minutes, non stop. Was a really great show. Was much better than I thought he would be. Would see again.

First, ticket master was so easy to use. Second, Chubby Checker was absolutely amazing. The show was wonderful and his audience participation was great. He came into the audience and interacted with them and then had people join him on the stage. It was a GREAT show!!!

Chubby Checker was more than what we expected. Very crowd friendly. We really felt like we got our moneys worth. We would recommend this show to anyone. 75 years old and still twisting the night away.

My wife & I though The show was great, Chubby did a good verity of songs, and had the audiance particapate. Her was a little stiff on his dancing but what do yuo expect for his age.

It was a walk down memory lane - I grew up when his music. His performance was so amazing. It kept the audience cheering, singing along, and thoroughly engaged. I can't wait to see him again!!! He was gracious after the performance when signing autographs. I would have waited forever to get to stand beside him for that picture. His band was full of talent - they were young but played his music with the skill and enthusiasm of all those years ago. He made me feel young again.

Enjoyed seeing Chubby Checker in person for the first time. Got to take a picture with him. I enjoyed the group War too!!!

Chubby Checker put on an amazing event. He got into the audience several times while singing. What a pro! Chubby you've got style; the younger crowd could learn a thing or two from you!!

Chubby still has a great voice and interacted with the audience very well. Was more like a show rather just a standard concert. He sung all his hits and then some. You could tell he really enjoyed the love he received from the crowd.

My wife commented after seeing Chubby Checker for the first - and hopefully not the last time - "This is the best concert I've ever been at!" We expected great music, but what really made the evening was Chubby Checker's enthusiasm and rapport with his fans. He seemed to really enjoy performing and interacting with the people, and this made for an energizing performance. The set of stairs that were set up in front of the stage were heavily used. Chubby spent a considerable amount of time in the audience and had audience members up on stage. Although widely known for singing The Twist, Chubby has great deal of vocal versatility, which he demonstrated on other oldies and even a ballad or two. A testament to Chubby s relationship to his fans is the fact that people stood in line for hours after the concert to get his autograph or have their picture taken with him. We are looking forward to the next time we have a chance to see Chubby Checker in concert..

This was a fabulous show. Who would think Chubby Checker was in his 70s? He was in great shape, and his voice, his moves, his fun was all still there. The band was great, every one of the band members. Chubby was interactive, drawing the audience in with singing, with clapping, with dancing in the audience. Chuck went out several times to dance and high-five the men and women in the audience. And he had several men up onstage to do the twist. Chubby did several of his own songs,and several of other artists, Fats Domino, Elvis, Joey Dee, and others. And it was just as though I was listening to my old 45s. We loved the show, from beginning to end, and would highly recommend this venue, and this performer.

Can still sing, hit the high notes, works the audience.

The show was a lot of fun. We heard many oldies and some new material. Chubby was funny and kept the show moving, probably faster than many in the audience could move.

Chubby Checkers put on a great show.I had my uncle and mother with me and they loved the show. Your feet were tapping with the music and it made you want to get up to dance.

Very entertaining, kept everyone clapping hands. You could see everyone having a great time including my husband and myself. I would recommend this show Mr. Checker still has what it takes to entertain a crowd, would see it again.
