Quinn Lemley's va va voomanism is in super high gear in her terrific B to B show. Ms. Lemley's got a hard stare that slips into a come hither purr as she prances, dances and thrills her audience with all the glamour of a by- gone era mixed with diesel fuel. Perfect for today's feminist. Looking gorgeous in equisitely created costumes, Quinn is clearly the director of her own musical life... no Mama Rose shouting out directions from off-stage. Quinn leads her four hilarious chorus girls in a sexual romp, complete with kicks, bumps and dirty jokes that never seem too dirty. Quinn's voice, though a bit one note, carries it off with a wide, deep sound and excellent acting chops. She chooses songs that provide a sort of history lessons of women's lives and evolution. The band is great too, tight and bright like the whole evening.

The Record Bar was a really intimate setting. There were booths for those who wanted to sit, and plenty of room to get up to the stage, like I did. The bands were absolutely amazing. I really recommend Misterwives; I'd never heard them before this concert. American Authors and The Royal Concept were outstanding. They seemed genuine and really wanted to get the crowd going. The best part is that the band members all stayed after the show and chatted with us and were truly people who I thought, "Oh, in some alternate universe, we would be friends!"

This was a very different show from all the others I've seen. I found the acting very real, funny, sad and emotional. The singing was awesome and the music quietly refreshing and there wasn't a dry eye in the theatre including mine.

The music was great but the venue did not make sense. Most of the ticketholders were sitting in the lawn section and were very far from the stage. The screens did not come on until the evening so it was very difficult to see the earlier performers. It might be a good idea in the future to find an open space where stages could be set up so that the audience could be just as close to the main stage as to the Harmony Stage.

The glow show was soooo much fun. Great music was played, people were all dancing, but no one was out of control. I will definitely go to another one.

Benny Green on the piano was pretty incredible. Dee Dee Bridgewater was excellent on the vocals.

Sometimes, I feel too old to be at the front row of a concert. I'm not as agile as I used to be. I suffer from the occasional backache and fist shaking towards "youngins". However, this was not the case for the Divine Fits show. I absolutely loved the album, and although they were not coming to Detroit, I made sure to see them in Columbus. The night was absolutely magical and worth the 4 hour drive. I don't drink alcohol, but after their set was over, I was drunk, high, euphoric. I could barely walk afterward. I have had a concert lust hangover for the past few days. I have been to over 200 concerts, and I haven't felt like this in a long time. I am all too eager to see them live again, and I'm considering airfare and roadtrip options to do so. I hope that they will play Michigan sometime in the future. Seeing as how Sam Brown is from Columbus, I'm sure they will play there often, which is fine by me. Go see them. Dance. Have fun. Your ears and brain will thank you.
